1Isolation and characterization of H7N9 viruses from live poultry markets--Implication of the source of current H7N9 infection in humans显示文摘On March 31, 2013, the National Health and Family Planning Commission announced that human infections with a previously undescribed influenza A (H7N9) virus had occurred in Shanghai and Anhui Province, China. To investigate the possible origins of the H7N9 viruses causing these human infections, we collected 970 samples, including drinking water, soil, and cloacal and tracheal swabs of poultry from live poultry markets and poultry farms in Shanghai and Anhui Province. Twenty samples were positive for the H7N9 influenza virus. Notably, all 20 viruses were isolated from samples collected from live poultry markets in Shanghai. Phylogenetic analyses showed that the six internal genes of these novel human H7N9 viruses were derived from avian H9N2 viruses, but the ancestor of their HA and NA genes is uncertain. When we examined the phylogenetic relationship between the H7N9 isolates from live poultry markets and the viruses that caused the human infections, we found that they shared high homology across all eight gene segments. We thus identified the direct avian origin of the H7N9 influenza viruses that caused the human infections. Importantly, we observed that the H7N9 viruses isolated from humans had acquired critical mutations that made them more 'human-like'. 2Dynamic management system of ore blending in an open pit mine based on GIS/GPS/GPRS显示文摘Using GIS, GPS and GPRS, a dynamic management system of ore blending in an open pit mine has been designed and developed. A linear program was established in a practical application. The system is very good at automatically drawing up a daily production plan of ore blending and monitors and controls the process of mining production in real time. 3Seasonal variation of nitrogen and phosphorus in Xiaojiang River-A tributary of the Three Gorges Reservoir显示文摘A yearlong monitoring program in the backwater area of Xiaojiang River(XBA)was launched in order to investigate the eutrophication of backwater areas in tributaries of the Yangtze River in the Three Gorges Reservoir(TGR)in China,starting after the impoundment water level of the TGR reached 156 m.From March 2007 to March 2008,the average concentration of total nitrogen(TN)and total phosphorus(TP)were(1553484)μg·L^(–1)and(6231)μg·L^(–1),respectively.The mean value of chlorophyll was(9.070.91)μg·L^(–1).The trophic level of XBA was meso-eutrophic,while the general nutrient limitation was phosphorus.The results indicated that XBA has a strong ability to purify itself and has non-point source pollution from terrestrial runoff.The variation of TN/TP ratio was caused by a variation in TN rather than in TP when TN/TP<22.N-fixation from cyanobacteria occurred and became an important process in overcoming the nitrogen deficit under a low TN/TP ratio.When TN/TP≥22,the variation of TP affected the TN/TP ratio more significantly than TN.The increase of TP in XBA was caused mainly by particulate phosphorus,which could originate from a non-point source as adsorptive inorganic forms after heavy rainfall and surface runoff.An increase in the river’s flow could also contribute to an unstable environment for the growth of phytoplankton.Zhe LI Jinsong GUO Man LONG Fang FANG Jinping SHENG Hong ZHOU 2009Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2009,3,3:8
4The Earth's inner core deviation to plate movement显示文摘Under the premise of the Earth’s layer structure and mass distribution, the solid inner core cannot be stable in the center of the sphere. Thus, the deviation of the inner core is towards the sphere’s center and the liquid outer core must have asymmetrical thermal convection. Based on the two suggestions, a concise and self-consistent global motion model can be built. The model consists of the following cycle: an asymmetrical thermal convection structure in the outer core led by the dislocation of the inner core→the plume is in special upwell position because of differential activation→the formation and split of lithosphere→the split plates drift and assemble in a new location, the mass of which causes the inner core to deviate towards this direction again→the new asymmetry is formed. As this circulation continues, a definite and periodical motion emerges/forms. Its nonlinear features result in the Earth’s motion with simple mechanisms but complex behavior. 5Temperature sensitivity of organic compound destruction in SCWO process显示文摘To study the temperature sensitivity of the destruction of organic compounds in supercritical water oxidation process(SCWO), oxidation effects of twelve chemicals in supercritical water were investigated. The SCWO reaction rates of different compounds improved to varying degrees with the increase of temperature, so the highest slope of the temperature-effect curve(imax) was defined as the maximum ratio of removal ratio to working temperature. It is an important index to stand for the temperature sensitivity effect in SCWO. It was proven that the higher imax is, the more significant the effect of temperature on the SCWO effect is. Since the high-temperature area of SCWO equipment is subject to considerable damage from fatigue, the temperature is of great significance in SCWO equipment operation. Generally, most compounds(imax > 0.25) can be completely oxidized when the reactor temperature reaches 500℃. However, some compounds(imax > 0.25) need a higher temperature for complete oxidation, up to 560℃. To analyze the correlation coefficients between imax and various molecular descriptors, a quantum chemical method was used in this study. The structures of the twelve organic compounds were optimized by the Density Functional Theory B3LYP/6-311G method, as well as their quantum properties. It was shown that six molecular descriptors were negatively correlated to imax while other three descriptors were positively correlated to imax. Among them, dipole moment had the greatest effect on the oxidation thermodynamics of the twelve organic compounds. 8Enhanced properties of solid solution (CeZr)O_2 modified with metal oxides for catalytic oxidation of low-concentration methane显示文摘The solid solution(Ce Zr)O_2 catalyst was synthesized, and it was modified with metal oxides by incipient impregnation. Morphology and structure were characterized by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscope, nitrogen ad/desorption and H_2-temperature program reduction techniques. The catalytic properties of methane oxidation were also investigated. The results showed that solid solution possessed a mesoporous structure and exhibited excellent catalytic performance. The activity of solid solution was improved effectively by nickel doping, and the optimal loading is 15 wt%. 10Summer freshwater content variability of the upper ocean in the Canada Basin during recent sea ice rapid retreat显示文摘Freshwater content (F W C) in the Arctic Ocean has changed rapidly in recent years, in response to significant decreases in sea ice extent. Research on freshwater content variability in the Canada Basin, the main storage area of fresh water is very important to understand the input-output freshwater in the Arctic Ocean. The F W C in the Canada Basin was calculated using data from the Chinese National Arctic Research Expeditions of 2003 and 2008, and from expeditions of the Canadian icebreaker Louis S. St-Laurent (LSSL) from 2004 to 2007. Results show that the upper ocean in the Canada Basin became continuously fresher from 2003 to 2008, except during 2006. The F W C increased at a rate of more than 1 m · a 1 , and the maximum increase, 7 m, was in the central basin compared between 2003 and 2008. Variability of the F W C was almost entirely limited to the layer above the winter Bering Sea Water (wBSW), below which the F W C remained around 3 m during the study period. Contributors to the F W C increase are generally considered to be net precipitation, runoff changes, Pacific water inflow through the Bering Strait, sea ice extent, and the Arctic Oscillation(AO). However, we determined that the first three contributors did not have apparent impact on the F W C changes. 12Catalytic performance improvement of volatile organic compounds oxidation over MnO_(x) and GdMnO_(3) composite oxides from spent lithium-ion batteries:Effect of acid treatment显示文摘In this work,cathode materials of spent lithium-ion ternary batteries are recovered and used as metal precursor to prepare multi-metal oxides MnO_(x)(SY)and GdMnO_(3)(SY)via combustion method and sol-gel method,respectively.Furthermore,a series of MnO_(x)(SY)-n and GdMnO_(3)(SY)-n(n=0.05,0.10,1.00,4.00,n represents the dilute HNO_(3) concentration)catalysts are fabricated by acid treatment of MnO_(x)(SY)and GdMnO_(3)(SY)samples and catalytic activities of oxygenated VOCs oxidation over all the prepared catalysts are investigated.Catalytic evaluation results show that acid-treated MnO_(x)(SY)-0.10 and GdMnO_(3)(SY)-0.05 samples perform the optimum VOCs removal efficiency respectively,which may be attributed to their obvious enhancement of physicochemical properties.In detail,Mn O_(x)(SY)-0.10 and GdMnO_(3)(SY)-0.05 samples exhibit the larger specific surface area,bigger amount of surface high-valence metal ions(Mn^(4+),Co^(3+),Ni^(3+)),more abundant adsorbed oxygen species and better low-temperature reducibility,which can play a crucial role in the significant improvement of VOCs oxidation.In situ DRIFTS results imply that the possible main intermediates are-OCO,-COO and-C-O species produced during VOCs oxidation.Possible by-products are further determined via TD/GC-MS analysis.Mingming Guo Lizhong Liu Jia-nan Gu Hongbo Zhang Xin Min Jianxing Liang Jinping Jia Kan Li Tonghua Sun 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,6:1

19High-performance self-powered ultraviolet to near-infrared photodetector based on WS_(2)/InSe van der Waals heterostructure显示文摘van der Waals heterostructures(vdWHs)based on two-dimensional(2D)materials without the crystal lattice matching constraint have great potential for high-performance optoelectronic devices.Herein,a WS_(2)/InSe vdWH photodiode is proposed and fabricated by precisely stacking InSe and WS_(2)flakes through an all-dry transfer method.The WS_(2)/InSe vdWH forms an n–n heterojunction with strong built-in electric field due to their intrinsic n-type semiconductor characteristics and energy-band alignments with a large Fermi level offset between WS_(2)and InSe.As a result,the device displays excellent photovoltaic behavior with a large open voltage of 0.47 V and a short-circuit current of 11.7 nA under 520 nm light illumination.Significantly,a fast rising/decay time of 63/76μs,a large light on/off ratio of 105,a responsivity of 61 mA/W,a high detectivity of 2.5×10^(11) Jones,and a broadband photoresponse ranging from ultraviolet to near-infrared(325–980 nm)are achieved at zero bias.This study provides a strategy for developing high-performance self-powered broadband photodetectors based on 2D materials.Jinping Chen Zhen Zhang Yi Ma Jiying Feng Xiaoyu Xie Xiaoxuan Wang Aoqun Jian Yuanzheng Li Zhuxin Li Heng Guo Yizhi Zhu Qiannan Cui Zengliang Shi Chunxiang Xu 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:1
20Genetic Analysis of Multiple Paternity in an Endangered Ovoviviparous Lizard Shinisaurus crocodilurus显示文摘The crocodile lizard(Shinisaurus crocodilurus) is an ovoviviparous lizard belonging to a monotypic family that originated during the end of the quaternary ice age. A rare species in the wild, the crocodile lizard was listed in CITES Appendix II. Knowledge of the reproductive biology and mating system of this species is important for designing conservation strategies and improving genetic variation. To investigate the paternity of the crocodile lizards and to interpret their reproductive behaviour, we collected saliva from females, potential fathers and offspring in a seminatural enclosure experiment and analyzed the paternity of the crocodile lizard using 12 microsatellite genetic loci. The overall observed incidence of multiple paternity was 42.9%(6 of 14 clutches) and Fis was 0.089 ± 0.056.
