1Development of a Hand Exoskeleton System for Index Finger Rehabilitation显示文摘In order to overcome the drawbacks of traditional rehabilitation method,the robot-aided rehabilitation has been widely investigated for the recent years.And the hand rehabilitation robot,as one of the hot research fields,remains many challenging issues to be investigated.This paper presents a new hand exoskeleton system with some novel characteristics.Firstly,both active and passive rehabilitative motions are realized.Secondly,the device is elaborately designed and brings advantages in many aspects.For example,joint motion is accomplished by a parallelogram mechanism and high level motion control is therefore made very simple without the need of complicated kinematics.The adjustable joint limit design ensures that the actual joint angles don't exceed the joint range of motion(ROM) and thus the patient safety is guaranteed.This design can fit to the different patients with different joint ROM as well as to the dynamically changing ROM for individual patient.The device can also accommodate to some extent variety of hand sizes.Thirdly,the proposed control strategy simultaneously realizes the position control and force control with the motor driver which only works in force control mode.Meanwhile,the system resistance compensation is preliminary realized and the resisting force is effectively reduced.Some experiments were conducted to verify the proposed system.Experimentally collected data show that the achieved ROM is close to that of a healthy hand and the range of phalange length(ROPL) covers the size of a typical hand,satisfying the size need of regular hand rehabilitation.In order to evaluate the performance when it works as a haptic device in active mode,the equivalent moment of inertia(MOI) of the device was calculated.The results prove that the device has low inertia which is critical in order to obtain good backdrivability.The experiments also show that in the active mode the virtual interactive force is successfully feedback to the finger and the resistance is reduced by one-third;for the passive control mode,the desired trajectory is realized satisfactorily.LI Jiting WANG Shuang WANG Ju ZHENG Ruoyin ZHANG Yuru CHEN Zhongyuan 2012Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2012,25,2:12
2Precise localization of small pulmonary nodules using Pre-VATS with Xper-CT in combination with real-time fluoroscopy-guided coil:report of 15 patients显示文摘Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the value of precise localization of nodules using pre-video-assisted thoracic surgery(VATS) Xper–CT in combination with real-time fluoroscopy-guided coil in the resection of pulmonary nodules using VATS. Materials and Methods: Precise localization of nodules using Xper-CT in combination with real-time fluoroscopy-guided coil and wedge resection using VATS were conducted on 15 patients with 17 small pulmonary nodules(diameter 0.5–1.5 cm) from April 2015 to January 2016. The value of localization was evaluated in terms of procedure time, type of coils, associated complications of localization, and VATS success rate. Results: The success rate of coil localization was found to be 100% in the primary stage(as shown by the CT scan), and the average procedure time was 30–45 min(35.6 ± 3.05 min). No deaths or major complications occurred. Minor complications included five incidents of pneumothorax(the morbidity was 29.4%, 5/17; no patient required chest tube drainage). The dislocation of coil was found in one patient. The results of pathological examination of 17 small pulmonary nodules revealed 11 primary lung cancers, 1 mesenchymal tumor, 3 nonspecific chronic inflammations, 1 hamartoma, and 1 tuberculosis. Two patients with primary lung cancer underwent lobectomy with mediastinal lymph node dissection. Conclusion: The preoperative precise localization of small pulmonary nodules using Xper-CT-guided coil is an effective and safe technique. It helps in the resection of nodules using VATS. 3A back analysis of the temperature field in the combustion volume space during underground coal gasification显示文摘The exact shape and size of the gasification channel during underground coal gasification(UGC) are of vital importance for the safety and stability of the upper parts of the geological formation.In practice existing geological measurements are insufficient to obtain such information because the coal seam is typically deeply buried and the geological conditions are often complex.This paper introduces a cylindrical model for the gasification channel.The rock and soil masses are assumed to be homogeneous and isotropic and the effect of seepage on the temperature field was neglected.The theory of heat conduction was used to write the equation predicting the temperature field around the gasification channel.The idea of an excess temperature was introduced to solve the equations.Applying this model to UCG in the field for an influence radius,r,of 70 m gave the model parameters,u1,2,3...,of 2.4,5.5,8.7...By adjusting the radius(2,4,or 6 m) reasonable temperatures of the gasification channel were found for 4 m.The temperature distribution in the vertical direction,and the combustion volume,were also calculated.Comparison to field measurements shows that the results obtained from the proposed model are very close to practice.Chen Liang Hou Chaohu Chen Jiansheng Xu Jiting 2011Mining Science and Technology2011,21,4:3
4Multi-objective evolutionary optimization for geostationary orbit satellite mission planning显示文摘In the past few decades, applications of geostationary orbit(GEO) satellites have attracted increasing attention, and with the development of optical technologies, GEO optical satellites have become popular worldwide. This paper proposes a general working pattern for a GEO optical satellite, as well as a target observation mission planning model. After analyzing the requirements of users and satellite control agencies, two objectives are simultaneously considered: maximization of total profit and minimization of satellite attitude maneuver angle. An NSGA-II based multi-objective optimization algorithm is proposed, which contains some heuristic principles in the initialization phase and mutation operator, and is embedded with a traveling salesman problem(TSP) optimization. 5A robust bifunctional catalyst for rechargeable Zn-air batteries:Ultrathin NiFe-LDH nanowalls vertically anchored on soybeanderived Fe-N-C matrix显示文摘ABSTRACT NiFe layered double hydroxide(NiFe-LDH)nanosheets and metal-nitrogen-carbon materials(M-N-C,M=Ni,Fe,Co,etc.)are supreme catalysts in the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)process,respectively.Nevertheless,the monotonic performance and insufficient stability severely hamper their practical application in rechargeable batteries.Herein,we simultaneously combine ultrathin NiFe-LDH nanowalls with renewable soybean-derived Fe-N-C matrix to obtain a hybrid materials(NiFe-LDH/FeSoy-CNSs-A),which exhibits robust catalytic activities for OER(E_(j=10)=1.53 V vs.RHE)and ORR(E_(1/2)=0.91 V vs.RHE),with a top-notch battery parameters and stability in assembled rechargeable Zn-air batteries.Intensive investigations indicate that the vertically dispersed NiFe-LDH nanosheets,Fe-N-C matrix derived from soybean and the strong synergy between them are responsible for the unprecedented OER and ORR performances.The key role of intrinsic N defects involved in the hybrid materials is firstly specified by ultrasoundassisted extraction of soy protein from soybean.The exquisite design can facilitate the utilization of sustainable biomass-derived catalysts,and the mechanism investigations of N defects and oxygenic groups on the structure-activity relationship can stimulate the progress of other functional hybrid electrocatalysts.Meng Zhang Jiting Zhang Siyi Ran Lingxi Qiu Wei Sun Ying Yu Jisheng Chen Zhihong Zhu 2021Nano Research2021,14,4:3
6Pressure Distribution Induced by Ionic Wind in Needle-to-water Corona Discharge显示文摘The negative DC corona discharge in air at atmospheric pressure was investigated in a needle-to-water system to obtain the pressure distribution of corona ionic wind.The deformation of water surface was measured and the distribution of wind pressure over the water surface was calculated.The effects of varying discharge parameters,such as applied voltage,gap spacing,tip radius of needle,and the shape of grounded electrode,on the wind pressure were studied.The measured wind pressure ranges from several Pa to several tens of Pa and up to 33 Pa over a small area;the pressure is comparatively large in the center and decreases quickly outwards.In the experiment system,a higher voltage on a 3 mm gap resulted in a stronger pressure of the ionic wind;around the onset voltage,using a needle with tip radius of 50μm obtained a larger wind pressure than using a needle with 100μm tip radius,but the latter one can produce larger pressure at higher voltages.Plus,the shape of the grounded electrode only influences the wind pressure a little.ZHANG Yu LIU Lijuan OUYANG Jiting 2013高电压技术2013,39,9:2
7Lessons from the Mainland of China’s Epidemic Experience in the First Phase about the Growth Rules of Infected and Recovered Cases of COVID-19 Worldwide显示文摘The first phase of the novel coronavirus disease(COVID-19)that emerged at the end of 2019 has been brought under control in the mainland of China in March,while it is still spreading globally.When the pandemic will end is a question of great concern.A logistic model that depicts the growth rules of infected and recovered cases in China’s mainland may shed some light on this question.This model well explained the data by 13 April from 31 countries that have been experiencing serious COVID-2019 outbreaks(R2≥0.95).Based on this model,the semi-saturation period(SSP)of infected cases in those countries ranges from 3 March to 18 June.According to the linear relationship between the growth rules for infected and for recovered cases identified from the Chinese data,we predicted that the SSP of the recovered cases outside China ranges from 22 March to 8 July.More importantly,we found a strong positive correlation between the SSP of infected cases and the timing of a government’s response.Finally,this model was also applied to four regions that went through other coronavirus or Ebola virus epidemics(R2≥0.95).There is a negative correlation between the death rate and the logistic growth rate.These findings provide strong evidence for the effectiveness of rapid epidemic control measures in various countries.Chuanliang Han Yimeng Liu Jiting Tang Yuyao Zhu Carlo Jaeger Saini Yang 2020International Journal of Disaster Risk Science2020,11,4:2

15Typhoon Risk Perception: A Case Study of Typhoon Lekima in China显示文摘The typhoon is one major threat to human societies and natural ecosystems, and its risk perception is crucial for contextualizing and managing disaster risks in different social settings. Social media data are a new data source for studying risk perception, because such data are timely, widely distributed, and sensitive to emergencies.However, few studies have focused on crowd sensitivity variation in social media data-based typhoon risk perception. Based on the regional disaster system theory, a framework of analysis for crowd risk perception was established to explore the feasibility of using social media data for typhoon risk perception analysis and crowd sensitivity variation. The goal was to quantitatively analyze the impact of hazard intensity and social and geographical environments on risk perception and its variation among population groups. Taking the Sina Weibo data during Typhoon Lekima of 2019 as an example, we found that:(1)Typhoon Lekima-related Weibo public attention changed in accordance with the evolution of the typhoon track and the number of Weibo posts shows a significantly positive correlation with disaster losses, while socioeconomic factors,including population, gross domestic product, and land area, are not explanatory factors of the spatial distribution of disaster-related Weibo posts;(2) Females, nonlocals with travel plans, and people living in areas with high hazard intensity, low elevation, or near waterbodies affected by Lekima paid more attention to the typhoon disaster;and(3)Descriptions of rainfall intensity by females are closer to the meteorological observation data.Jiting Tang Saini Yang Yimeng Liu Kezhen Yao Guofu Wang 2022International Journal of Disaster Risk Science2022,13,2:1

18Experiments on plasma dynamics of electrical wire explosion in air显示文摘Besides a typical high‐density plasma source,electrical explosion of conductors is also indispensable in switches,nanomaterial synthesis,shock‐wave sources,etc.In this paper,an experimental study regarding plasma dynamics of electrical wire explosions(μs‐timescale)is presented,with spatiotemporal resolved diagnostics.Pure Cu/Ni wire and Cu‐Ni alloy wire were used and compared.The alloy wire usually has a higher resistivity,resulting in a higher initial energy deposition(heating)rate.Abel inverse transformation indicated that the plasma radiation focussed on the outer region of the discharge channel for the alloy wire.In addition,the metallic vapour determined by the material properties had a considerable influence on the plasma process and resulting nanomaterials.In particular,both transverse and axial‐layered structures were observed in alloy wire vapour.In addition,for the first time,the expanding arc‐like plasma of explosion products was understood and examined from aspects of material properties and energy relaxation.The later stage of wire explosion resembled the state of regular metal vapour arcs under 1 MPa pressure.Finally,the core factor for the fast energy deposition stage of wire explosion was ascertained.Correlations between pre‐exposition circuit parameters and post‐explosion dynamic effects were found,which is significant for practical applications.Ruoyu Han Chen Li Wei Yuan Jiting Ouyang Jiawei Wu Yanan Wang Weidong Ding Yongmin Zhang 2022High Voltage2022,7,1:1
19Evaluating treatment via flexibilityof dynamic MRI community structures in depression显示文摘The flexibility of dynamic community structure isadopted to analyze the depressive resting-state functionalmagnetic resonance imaging (rfMRI) signals in order toimprove the accuracy of evaluating depression treatment. TherfMRI signals of each brain network were obtained by theindependent component correlation algorithm (ICA). Dynamicfunctional connections were computed with sliding windowsand L1 norm. Then, the connections were used to calculatethe dynamic community structure via the community-detectionalgorithm. The result of structure's community assignment hasthe general character with the brain activity changing overtime. The flexibility index is one of traits of dynamiccommunity structure, meaning the number of times a regionchanges. In this study, 16 patients who achieved clinicalremission joined the experiment and were scanned before andafter treatment. Pair permutation tests compare the differenceof six brain networks' flexibility between pre-therapy and post-treatment. The results show that the distribution of theflexibility values declines in a default network and cognitivecontrol network between we-therapy and post-treatmentpatients with statistical difference.
