Design and integrated simulation of a pressurized feed system of the dual-thrust hybrid rocket motor显示文摘A new pressurized feed system of the dual-thrust hybrid rocket motor for flight is presented in this paper. The feed system supplies 90% hydrogen peroxide (90%H 2 O 2) with two different flows of 4.5 and 2 kg s 1.The oxidizer flow is changed through regulating the mass flow of the high-pressure gas and switching the performance modes of the unique oxidizer flow control valve simultaneously. The models of the gas storage container, pressure regulator valve, control orifice, propellant tank, oxidizer flow control valve and cavitating venturi are generated and used to compute the instantaneous pressure, temperature and mass flow rate. There is a good agreement between the simulated and experimental results.Parameter sensitivity analysis is also conducted. It is found that the throat diameter of the cavitating venturi in feed line 1 is the main factor affecting the mass flow in both boost and sustaining phase.Other parameters have limited effects on the mass flow rate and the transition time of the system.LI JunHai YU NanJia ZENG Peng CAI GuoBiao 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,4:9
Cu-Co bi-metal catalyst prepared by perovskite CuO/LaCoO_3 used for higher alcohol synthesis from syngas显示文摘Cu-Co bi-metal catalysts derived from CuO/LaCoO3 perovskite structure were prepared by one-step citrate complexing method, and the structure evolution reaction from CuO/LaCoO3 to Cu-Co2C/La2O2CO3 under H2pretreatment was investigated by techniques of XRD, TPR and TEM. The results suggest that a much higher dispersion of copper significantly enhanced the reduction of cobalt, and a stronger interaction between copper and cobalt ions in LaCoO3 particles led to the formation of bi-metallic Cu-Co particles in the reduced catalysts and the enrichment of Co on the surface of bimetallic particles. The prepared catalysts were highly active and selective for the alcohol synthesis from syngas due to the presence of copper-modified Co2 C species.Yuzhen Fang Yuan Liu Wei Deng Junhai Liu 2014Journal of Energy Chemistry2014,23,4:5
Removing local irregularities of triangular meshes with highlight line models显示文摘The highlight line model is a powerful tool in assessing the quality of a surface. It increases the ffexibility of an interactive design environment. In this paper, a method to generate a highlight line model on an arbitrary triangular mesh is presented. Based on the highlight line model, a technique to remove local shape irregularities of a triangular mesh is then presented. The shape modification is done by solving a minimization problem and performing an iterative procedure. The new technique improves not only the shape quality of the mesh surface, but also the shape of the highlight line model. It provides an intuitive and yet suitable method for locally optimizing the shape of a triangular mesh.YONG JunHai DENG BaiLin CHENG FuHua WANG Bin WU Kun GU HeJin 2009Science in China(Series F)2009,52,3:5
The First National Prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder in China显示文摘Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a complex developmental disability characterized by impaired social interaction and communication, restricted interests, and stereotypical behaviors [1,2].In addition to these core diagnostic features, children with ASD frequently present with a host of associated behavioral issues, such as intellectual disability and epilepsy,as well as feeding and sleep problems. The prevalence of ASD in the United States is about 1/59,with a significantly higher proportion in males [3].Therefore,ASD is no longer a rare disorder.Zi Chao Zhang Junhai Han 2020Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,9:5
Drosophila Studies on Autism Spectrum Disorders显示文摘In the past decade, numerous genes associated with autism spectrum disorders(ASDs) have been identified. These genes encode key regulators of synaptogenesis, synaptic function, and synaptic plasticity. Drosophila is a prominent model system for ASD studies to define novel genes linked to ASDs and decipher their molecular roles in synaptogenesis, synaptic function, synaptic plasticity, and neural circuit assembly and consolidation. Here, we review Drosophila studies on ASD genes that regulate synaptogenesis, synaptic function, and synaptic plasticity through modulating chromatin remodeling, transcription, protein synthesis and degradation, cytoskeleton dynamics, and synaptic scaffolding.Yao Tian Zi Chao Zhang Junhai Han 2017Neuroscience Bulletin2017,33,6:4
Controlled fabrication and microwave absorbing mechanism of hollow Fe3O4@C microspheres显示文摘Uniform core-shell SiO2@Fe_3O_4@C microspheres were prepared by a one-step hydrothermal method with SiO_2 microspheres as the template, and the hollow Fe_3O_4@C(HFC) microspheres were achieved via etching SiO_2 template. By changing the sizes of SiO_2 microspheres, a series of HFC microspheres with variable cavity sizes were obtained to study the relationship between cavity size and microwave absorbing(MA) performance for the first time. The morphology and structure of samples were characterized in detail. The results showed that the MA performance of HFC sample depended on its cavity size. In particular, the hollow structure was good for improving MA performance and could make MA move to the high-frequency region. More importantly, as the cavity size increases, the resonance frequency of HFC-i(i=1,2, 3, 4) samples moved to a low frequency, and the optimal matching thickness of HFC-i samples was increasing. Among all HFC-i samples, HFC-3 showed the most excellent MA performance, which could be mainly explained by the quarter-wavelength matching model, intrinsical magnetic and dielectric loss. Furthermore, the MA performance of HFC mixture blended by the equal mass fraction of HFC-2, HFC-3 and HFC-4 was the comprehensive results of three HFC-i samples. All the above suggested that the cavity size in HFC sample had a great influence on the MA performance.Yanhui Hou Huili Yuan Hang Chen Junhai Shen Liangchao Li 2017Science China Chemistry2017,60,6:3
Effect of fiber supplementation on the microbiota in critically ill patients显示文摘AIM:To determine tolerance to fiber supplementation of semi-elemental tube feeds in critically ill patients and measure its effect on colonic microbiota and fermentation.METHODS:Thirteen intensive care unit patients receiving jejunal feeding with a semi-elemental diet for predominantly necrotizing pancreatitis were studied. The study was divided into 2 parts:first,short-term (3-9 d)clinical tolerance and colonic fermentation as assessed by fecal short chain fatty acid(SCFA)concentrations and breath hydrogen and methane was measured in response to progressive fiber supplementation increasing from 4 g tid up to normal requirement levels of 8 g tid;second,4 patients with diarrhea were studied for 2-5 wk with maximal supplementation to additionally assess its influence on fecal microbiota quantitated by quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR)of microbial 16S rRNA genes and Human Intestinal Tract Chip(HITChip)microarray analysis.Nearly all patients were receiving antibiotics(10/13)and acid suppressants(11/13)at some stage during the studies.RESULTS:In group 1,tolerance to progressive fiber supplementation was good with breath hydrogen and methane evidence(P=0.008 and P<0.0001,respectively)of increased fermentation with no exacerbation of abdominal symptoms and resolution of diarrhea in 2 of 4 patients. In group 2 before supplementation, fecal microbiota mass and their metabolites,SCFA,were dramatically lower in patients compared to healthy volunteers. From qPCR and HITChip analyses we calculated that there was a 97%reduction in the predominant potential butyrate producers and starch degraders.Following 2-5 wk of fiber supplementation there was a significant increase in fecal SCFA(acetate 28.4±4.1μmol/g to 42.5±3.1μmol/g dry weight,P=0.01;propionate 1.6±0.5 vs 6.22±1.1,P=0.006 and butyrate 2.5±0.6 vs 5.9±1.1,P=0.04)and microbial counts of specific butyrate producers, with resolution of diarrhea in 3 of 4 patients.CONCLUSION:Conventional management of critically ill patients, which includes the use of elemental diets and broad-spectrum antibiotics, was associated with gross suppression of the colonic microbiota and their production of essential colonic fuels,i.e.,SCFA.Our investigations show that fiber supplementation of the feeds has the potential to improve microbiota mass and function, thereby reducing the risks of diarrhea due to dysbiosis.Stephen JD O'Keefe Junhai Ou James P DeLany Scott Curry Erwin Zoetendal H Rex Gaskins Scott Gunn 2011World Journal of Gastrointestinal Pathophysiology2011,2,6:3
Phototransduction in Drosophila显示文摘The Drosophila visual transduction is the fastest known G protein-coupled signaling cascade and has been served as a model for understanding the molecular mechanisms of other G protein-coupled signaling cascades. Numbers of components in visual transduction machinery have been identified. Based on the functional characterization of these genes, a model for Drosophila phototransduction has been outlined, including rhodopsin activation, phosphoinoside signaling, and the opening of TRP and TRPL channels. Recently, the characterization of mutants, showing slow termination, revealed the physiological significance and the mechanism of rapid termination of light response.TIAN Yao HU Wen TONG HuaWei HAN JunHai 2012Science China(Life Sciences)2012,55,1:2

STUDY ON THE PREDICTION METHOD OF LOW-DIMENSION TIME SERIES THAT ARISE FROM THE INTRINSIC NONLINEAR DYNAMICS显示文摘The prediction methods and its applications of the nonlinear dynamic systems determined from chaotic time series of low-dimension are discussed mainly. Based on the work of the foreign researchers, the chaotic time series in the phase space adopting one kind of nonlinear chaotic model were reconstructed. At first, the model parameters were estimated by using the improved least square method. Then as the precision was satisfied, the optimization method was used to estimate these parameters. At the end by using the obtained chaotic model, the future data of the chaotic time series in the phase space was predicted. Some representative experimental examples were analyzed to testify the models and the algorithms developed in this paper. The results show that if the algorithms developed here are adopted, the parameters of the corresponding chaotic model will be easily calculated well and true. Predictions of chaotic series in phase space make the traditional methods change from outer iteration to interpolations. And if the optimal model rank is chosen, the prediction precision will increase notably. Long term superior predictability of nonlinear chaotic models is proved to be irrational and unreasonable.MA Junhai(马军海) CHEN Yushu(陈予恕) 2001Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2001,22,5:2

Non-Structural Protein 5 of Zika Virus Interacts with p53 in Human Neural Progenitor Cells and Induces p53-Mediated Apoptosis显示文摘Zika virus(ZIKV) infection could disrupt neurogenesis and cause microcephaly in neonates by targeting neural progenitor cells(NPCs). The tumor suppressor p53-mediated cell cycle arrest and apoptotic cell death have been suggested to be activated upon ZIKV infection, yet the detailed mechanism is not well understood. In the present study, we investigated the effects of ZIKV-encoded proteins in the activation of p53 signaling pathway and found that, among the ten viral proteins, the nonstructural protein 5(NS5) of ZIKV most significantly activated the transcription of p53 target genes. Using the immunoprecipitation-coupled mass spectrometry approach, we identified that ZIKV-NS5 interacted with p53 protein. The NS5-p53 interaction was further confirmed by co-immunoprecipitation and GST pull-down assays. In addition, the MTase domain of NS5 and the C-terminal domain of p53 were mapped to be responsible for the interaction between these two proteins. We further showed that ZIKV-NS5 was colocalized with p53 and increased its protein level in the nuclei and able to prolong the half-life of p53. Furthermore, lentivirus-mediated expression of ZIKV-NS5 in hNPCs led to an apparent cell death phenotype. ZIKV-NS5 promoted the cleavage of PARP1 and significantly increased the cell apoptosis of h NPCs.Taken together, these findings revealed that ZIKV-NS5 is a previously undiscovered regulator of p53-mediated apoptosis in hNPCs, which may contribute to the ZIKV-caused abnormal neurodevelopment.Ping Li Hualian Jiang Hong Peng Weijie Zeng Yongheng Zhong Miao He Luyang Xie Junhai Chen Deyin Guo Junyu Wu Chun-Mei Li 2021Virologica Sinica2021,36,6:2

Novel regulation of the eEF2K/eEF2 pathway:prospects of'PQBP1 promotes translational elongation and regulates hippocampal mGluR-LTD by suppressing eEF2 phosphorylation'显示文摘Protein synthesis involves initiation, elongation, and termination.A number of studies show that translation elongation is highly regulated and is the most energy-intensive process, which controls the efficiency and accuracy of protein synthesis. In the elongation process, eukaryotic elongation factor 2(eEF2)binds to the ribosome to induce its conformation change and promotes the translocation of the tRNAs by hydrolyzing guanosine triphosphate, which then allows the next AA-tRNA to enter the A site for translation elongation. The activity of eEF2 is negatively regulated by its kinase eEF2K that phosphorylates eEF2 at threonine-56(Thr56).Yuqian Shen Junhai Han Zi Chao Zhang 2021Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2021,13,5:1
