1Ufadendron elongatum sp. nov., an Angaran Lycopsid from the Upper Permian of Inner Mongolia, China显示文摘A new species Ufadendron elongatum sp.nov.,attributed to the family Tomiodendraceae Naugolnykh,is represented by two well-preserved stems in the collection under study.This new species was recently discovered from the Upper Permian Linxi Formation in the Jalaid locality,the Inner Mongolia Autonomous region,China.The genus Ufadendron is characterized as having the long fusiform leaf cushions,with small and rounded leaf scar containing a central point-like scar which is situated at the upper part of leaf cushion;the infrafoliar bladder of fusiform shape positioned in the middle part of leaf cushion;the wings and heel well-developed in the lateral parts and the lower part of leaf cushion,respectively.The new species is different from the type species U.ufaense(Naugolnykh 2014)collected from the Lower Permian of the Cis-Urals,western limits of Angaraland,in the elongated leaf cushion and in the well-pronounced heel.It should be noted,that a vascular bundle(conductive strand)occupied the middle part of the central point-like scar.So far,only 5 genera of Angaran elements among lycopsids have been discovered in the region geographically belonging to Angaran Realm(Phytogeoprovince)in China.The new species U.elongatum not only enlarges our knowledge on the taxonomy of Tomiodendraceae lycopsids,and also provides an opportunity to understand the difference between Angaran and Cathaysian floras in paleoclimatic context.Zhen Tang Yi Zhang Serge VNaugolnykh Changqing Zheng Lu Shi Tao Qin Junhao Huang 2020Journal of Earth Science2020,31,1:2

5Multi-ratio optical thermometry and energy storage characteristics of Yb^(3+)/Er^(3+)/Tm^(3+)doped BaNb_(2)O_(6)transparent glass-ceramics显示文摘In order to meet the needs of new materials gradually developing towards miniaturization,integration,and light weight,multifunctional BaNb_(2)O_(6):Yb^(3+)/Er^(3+)/Tm^(3+)transparent glass-ceramics were success-fully prepared by melt quenching and controllable crystallization.Its structure,luminescence,and en-ergy transmission were studied.Using the opposite temperature dependence of the Tm^(3+)emission band and the corresponding large energy level gap,a maximum relative sensitivity of 2.3%K^(-1)based on thermal coupling levels(TCLs)is obtained in a wide temperature range(298-673 K).The multi-ratio optical thermometry based on TCLs and non-TCLs is successfully realized by using the different emission bands of double emission centers,which makes it possible for self-reference optical temperature measurement modes.In addition,the transparent glass-ceramic exhibits excellent electrical properties under 700 kV cm^(-1)electric field:high discharge energy density(W_(d)=0.99 J cm^(-3)),huge instantaneous power density(225.3 MW cm^(-3)),and ultra-fast discharge rate(T_(0.9)≤15.8 ns).The prepared glass-ceramic is expected to be a new type of lead-free multifunctional photoelectric material for temperature sensors and transparent electronic devices.Junhao Xing Feng Luo Yaoyi Qin Xiaolu Chen Yingying Liang Zhixin Gao Fei Shang Huarui Xu Guohua Chen 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,7:0
6A trans-ortho asymmetrically di-strapped metalloporphyrin integrating three key structural features of ligand in heme显示文摘Heme responsible for the dioxygen fixation,transport and conversion is a metalloporphyrin complex highly dependent on its diverse geometry of ligand.In this work,a trans-ortho-di-strapped zinc porphyrin with dome-like deformation was synthesized by thermodynamically controlling the formation of transprecursor of porphyrinogen.Its single-crystal structure demonstrated that the asymmetric treatment of porphyrin achieves three goals of creating two secondary coordination sphere(SCS)bulks,maintaining a unique dome deformation,and making atomic out-of-plane deviation.In this way,this metallic complex integrates at least three key features of the pocket structure,the differentiated axial ligations,and the ring distortion,making it an ideal heme analog.Qiuhua Liu Junhao Gao Yusheng Zhang Xin Liu Xi Zhang Qin Lin Wennan Zeng Zaichun Zhou 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,10:0
7Gadolinium-doped mesoporous tungsten oxides:Rational synthesis,gas sensing performance,and mechanism investigation显示文摘As a typical family of volatile toxic compounds,benzene derivatives are massive emission in industrial production and the automobile field,causing serious threat to human and environment.The reliable and convenient detection of low concentration benzene derivatives based on intelligent gas sensor is urgent and of great significance for environmental protection.Herein,through heteroatomic doping engineering,rare-earth gadolinium(Gd)doped mesoporous WO_(3)with uniform mesopores(15.7–18.1 nm),tunable high specific surface area(52–55 m^(2)·g^(−1)),customized crystalline pore walls,was designed and utilized to fabricate highly sensitive gas sensors toward benzene derivatives,such as ethylbenzene.Thanks to the high-density oxygen vacancies(OV)and significantly increased defects(W^(5+))produced by Gd atoms doping into the lattice of WO_(3)octahedron,Gd-doped mesoporous WO_(3)exhibited excellent ethylbenzene sensing performance,including high response(237 vs.50 ppm),rapid response–recovery dynamic(13 s/25 s vs.50 ppm),extremely low theoretical detection limit of 24 ppb.The in-situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform and gas chromatograph-mass spectrometry results revealed the gas sensing process underwent a catalytic oxidation conversion of ethylbenzene into alcohol species,benzaldehyde,acetophenone,and carboxylate species along with the resistance change of the Gd-doped mesoporous WO_(3)based sensor.Moreover,a portable smart gas sensing module was fabricated and demonstrated for real-time detecting ethylbenzene,which provided new ideas to design heteroatom doped mesoporous materials for intelligent sensors.Yanyan Li Keyu Chen Yan Liu Junhao Ma Yaozu Liao Haitao Yang Jinsheng Cheng Qin Yue Kaiping Yuan Yuan Ren Yidong Zou Yonghui Deng 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:0
8Comparison in structure and predicted function of epiphytic bacteria on Neopyropia yezoensis and Neopyropia katadae显示文摘The economic alga Neopyropia,which holds significant value in China for its edibility and economic potential,harbors diverse epiphytic bacteria on its surface.The epiphytic bacteria on Neopyropia yezoensis and Neopyropia katadae,two nori species of Neopyropia living at the same tidal level but with distinct physiological states and living habits,were investigated to understand the differences between them and the effects of epiphytic bacteria on their differential characteristics.Analysis of 16S rRNA gene sequences and real-time quantitative PCR(qPCR)of thalli and seawater samples(n=24)revealed notable differences in microbial diversity and community structure between the two species.Bacteroidetes dominated the bacterial communities in association with N.yezoensis,whereas Proteobacteria were predominant in N.katadae.Phylogenetic Investigation of Communities by Reconstruction of Unobserved States(PICRUSt2)analysis revealed enriched genes that related to the ABC transport system,iron complex outer membrane receptor proteins,and proliferation in N.yezoensis,whereas N.katadae exhibited enrichment of genes that related to energy supply as well as cell wall and cell membrane production.The results of qPCR indicate a higher abundance of epiphytic bacteria on surface of N.yezoensis than those on surface of N.katadae.The findings indicate that differences in the living environments of N.yezoensis and N.katadae may result in distinct structural composition and abundance of epiphytic bacteria on their surfaces,thereby conferring specific biological functionalities to each microbial community,and the epiphytic bacteria may shape the living habits of hosts to some extents.This study provided a basis for understanding the close association between surface microorganisms and algal bodies,and the physiological and ecological characteristics of nori species.Xinran WANG Junhao WANG Yunke ZHU Xinyu ZHU Hong QIN Ka BIAN Xianghai TANG 2023Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,6:0
9Transformation and immobilization of hexavalent chromium in the co-presence of biochar and organic acids:effects of biochar dose and reaction time显示文摘A batch experiment was conducted to examine the effects of biochar dose and reaction duration on the transformation and immobilization of Cr(VI)in the combined biochar and low-molecular-weight organic acid systems.The results showed that increase in the dosage level of biochar caused increase in the solution pH,particularly for the Biochar300 treatments but did not enhance the reduction of Cr(VI)after 1-day reaction.Over 35%of the converted Cr(III)was immobilized by sorption to the biochar due to increased negatively charged sites on the biochar surfaces driven by pH rise.The elevated pH due to biochar dose increase tended to slow down the reduction of Cr(VI)to Cr(III),resulting in more Cr(VI)being adsorbed at a higher biochar dose.For the higher-temperature biochars,the increase in biochar dose did not markedly change the transformation and immobilization of the added Cr.Increase in the reaction duration markedly increased the pH for Biochar300.This resulted in the disappearance of all Cr(VI)in the solution after the 7-day reaction,possibly through sorption of cationic Cr(III)to the biochar surfaces.Increase in reaction time for the higher-temperature biochars resulted in re-oxidation of Cr(III)to Cr(VI)due to the increased exposure of solution Cr(III)to atmospheric oxygen.The research findings obtained from this study have implications for optimizing treatment procedure for wastewater that contains elevated level of toxic Cr(VI).Simulation experiments are required to determine appropriate biochar dose and reaction time to achieve cost-effective treatment goals.Yongjun Li Wenming Xiong Xin Wei Junhao Qin Chuxia Lin 2021Biochar2021,3,4:0
