1Incidence and prevalence of moyamoya disease in urban China: a nationwide retrospective cohort study显示文摘Background and objective Moyamoya disease(MMD)is an increasingly recognised cause of stroke,mainly described in East Asia.China is the largest nation in Asia,but few studies reported the epidemiology of MMD,especially at a national level.We aimed to estimate the incidence and prevalence of MMD in China.Methods We performed a population-based study using data from the national databases of Urban Basic Medical Insurance between 2013 and 2016,covering approximately 0.50 billion individuals.MMD cases were identified by diagnostic code(International Classification of Diseases,10th Revision I67.5)or related diagnostic text.Results A total of 1987 MMD patients(mean age 44.45±14.30 years,female-to male ratio 1.12)were identified,representing a national crude incidence of 0.59(95%CI:0.49 to 0.68)and a prevalence of 1.01(95%CI:0.81 to 1.21)per 100000 person-years in 2016.Rates were higher in females than in males for the incidence(0.66 vs 0.52)and prevalence(1.05 vs 0.90).And the age-specific rates showed a bimodal distribution,with the highest peak in middle-aged group and the second peak in child group.Conclusions Our results confirm that MMD is relatively common in East Asians,but the rates in China were lower than those in other East Asian countries such as Japan and Korea.The unique epidemiological features,including a relatively weak female predominance and a shift in the highest peak of incidence from children to adults,revealed new sight into MMD.Further research is expected to explore the potential pathogenesis of MMD.Yixin Sun Guoyu Zhou Jingnan Feng Lu Chen Guozhen Liu Jinxi Wang Qingliang Wang Junyou Yu Xiwang Yang Zheng Yang Pei Gao Shengfeng Wang Siyan Zhan 2021Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,4:4
2The progress on antifouling organic coating: From biocide to biomimetic surface显示文摘The advancement in material science and engineering technology has led to the development of antifouling(AF) coatings which are cheaper, durable, less toxic, and safe to the environment. The use of AF coatings containing tributyltin compounds was prohibited at the beginning of 2003, this necessitated the development of environmentally friendly coatings. The fouling release coating(FRC) lacks biocides and has low surface energy, low elastic modulus with smooth surface properties, hence a better release effect to fouling organisms. Several functional coatings have been recently developed based on fouling release(FR) technology to combat the effects of biofouling. Here, we provide a brief overview of innovative technologies and recent developments based on FRCs, including silicone, modified fluorinated polymer,cross-linked coatings, amphiphilic copolymer coating, hydrogel coatings, and biomimetic coatings. We also highlight the key issues and shortcomings of innovative technologies based on FRCs. 3Preparation and thermoelectric properties of p-type Bi_(0.52)Sb_(1.48)Te_3 + 3% Te thin films显示文摘Thin films of p-type Bi0.52Sb1.48Te3 + 3% Te were deposited on glass substrates by flash evaporation.X-ray diffraction and field-emission scanning electron microscopy were performed to characterize the thin films,and the effects of preparation and annealing parameters on the thermoelectric properties were investigated.It was shown that the power factors of the films increased with increasing deposition temperature.Annealing the as-deposited films improved the power factors when the annealing time was less than 90 min and the annealing temperature was lower than 250℃.A maximum power factor of 10.66 μW cm-1 K-2 was obtained when the film was deposited at 200℃ and annealed at 250℃ for 60 min.ZHANG JianSheng YANG JunYou FENG ShuangLong LIU ZhengLai PENG JiangYing 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,32:2

5Identification of herbicide resistance loci using a genome-wide association study and linkage mapping in Chinese common wheat显示文摘Carfentrazone-ethyl and tribenuron-methyl,the two widely used herbicides for weed control in field crops,frequently cause phytotoxicity to wheat seedlings in the field.In this study,a total of 697 wheat accessions containing three panels were scanned using wheat90 K and 660 K SNP arrays to identify important herbicide resistance loci.Genome-wide association study(GWAS)revealed 329 significant single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)with phenotypic variance explained(PVE)of 11.3%to 27.6%.Among these SNPs,15 were detected in multiple environments and they were mainly distributed on chromosomes 1 B,2 D,5 B,5 D,6 D,and 7 D.Further analysis indicated that g HR-5 B(467–587 Mb),g HR-7 D(46–52 Mb),and g HR-1 B(517–580 Mb)were important herbicide resistance loci in wheat.Linkage mapping in a bi-parental population detected one QTL(q HR-1 B)with PVE of 7.44%to8.28%.This is reliable locus because its physical position(554–566 Mb)overlapped with g HR-1 B by GWAS in the genome of Chinese Spring.This study provided some herbicide-resistant germplasm and important genetic loci for identifying genes of common wheat.Chaonan Shi Yueting Zheng Junyou Geng Chunyi Liu He Pei Yan Ren Zhongdong Dong Lei Zhao Ning Zhang Feng Chen 2020The Crop Journal2020,8,4:1

16Interfacial reaction between the oxidized SiC particles and Al-Mg alloys显示文摘The interfacial reactions of oxidized SiC particles reinforced Al-Mg matrix composites were investigated by the field emission-scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), TEM and X-ray diffraction. It was found that the nanoscale MgO forms initially due to the interfacial reaction, then whether it reacts with molten Al continuously or not depends on the content of Mg in the matrix and its covering densification at the surface of particles. When there is not enough Mg in the matrix for the formation of dense MgO layer, MgO will transform into MgAl2O4 crystal owing to the continuous reaction with SiO2 and molten Al. When dense MgO layer forms at the surface of the particles due to the affluence of Mg for the initial reaction, it will protect the inner SiC from the attack of molten Al. However, the reaction products of both MgO and MgAl2O4 are thermo-stable phases at the surface of the particles under high temperature.
