1Connective tissue diseases in primary biliary cirrhosis:A population-based cohort study显示文摘AIM:To establish the frequency and clinical features of connective tissue diseases(CTDs)in a cohort of Chinese patients with primary biliary cirrhosis(PBC).METHODS:Three-hundred and twenty-two Chinese PBC patients were screened for the presence of CTD,and the systemic involvement was assessed.The differences in clinical features and laboratory findings between PBC patients with and without CTD were documented.The diversity of incidence of CTDs in PBC of different countries and areas was discussed.For the comparison of normally distributed data,Student’s t test was used,while non-parametric test(Wilcoxon test)for the non-normally distributed data and 2×2χ2or Fisher’s exact tests for the ratio.RESULTS:One-hundred and fifty(46.6%)PBC patients had one or more CTDs.The most common CTD was Sj gren’s syndrome(SS,121 cases,36.2%).There were nine cases of systemic sclerosis(SSc,2.8%),12of systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE,3.7%),nine of rheumatoid arthritis(RA,2.8%),and 10 of polymyositis(PM,3.1%)in this cohort.Compared to patients with PBC only,the PBC+SS patients were more likely to have fever and elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),higher serum immunoglobulin G(IgG)levels and more frequent rheumatoid factor(RF)and interstitial lung disease(ILD)incidences;PBC+SSc patients had higher frequency of ILD;PBC+SLE patients had lower white blood cell(WBC)count,hemoglobin(Hb),platelet count,γ-glutamyl transpeptidase and immunoglobulin M levels,but higher frequency of renal involvement;PBC+RA patients had lower Hb,higher serum IgG,alkaline phosphatase,faster ESR and a higher ratio of RF positivity;PBC+PM patients had higher WBC count and a tendency towards myocardial involvement.CONCLUSION:Besides the common liver manifestation of PBC,systemic involvement and overlaps with other CTDs are not infrequent in Chinese patients.When overlapping with other CTDs,PBC patients manifested some special clinical and laboratory features which may have effect on the prognosis.Li Wang Feng-Chun Zhang Hua Chen Xuan Zhang Dong Xu Yong-Zhe Li Qian Wang Li-Xia Gao Yun-Jiao Yang Fang Kong Ke Wang 2013World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,31:18

4Advances in biomaterials and regenerative medicine for primary ovarian insufficiency therapy显示文摘Primary ovarian insufficiency(POI)is an ovarian dysfunction that affects more than 1%of women and is characterized by hormone imbalances that afflict women before the age of 40.The typical perimenopausal symptoms result from abnormal levels of sex hormones,especially estrogen.The most prevalent treatment is hormone replacement therapy(HRT),which can relieve symptoms and improve quality of life.However,HRT cannot restore ovarian functions,including secretion,ovulation,and fertility.Recently,as part of a developing field of regenerative medicine,stem cell therapy has been proposed for the treatment of POI.Thus,we recapitulate the literature focusing on the use of stem cells and biomaterials for POI treatment,and sum up the underlying mechanisms of action.A thorough understanding of the work already done can aid in the development of guidelines for future translational applications and clinical trials that aim to cure POI by using regenerative medicine and biomedical engineering strategies.Sichen Zhang Dashuai Zhu Xuan Mei Zhenhua Li Junlang Li Mengjie Xie Halle Jiang Williams Lutz Shaowei Wang Ke Cheng 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,7:9

7Automatic data archiving and visualization at HLS-Ⅱ显示文摘The control system of Hefei Light Source II(HLS-Ⅱ) is a distributed system based on the experimental physics and industrial control system(EPICS). It is necessary to maintain the central configuration files for the existing archiving system. When the process variables in the control system are added, removed, or updated, the configuration files must be manually modified to maintain consistency with the control system. This paper presents a new method for data archiving, which realizes the automatic configuration of the archiving parameters. The system uses microservice architecture to integrate the EPICS Archiver Appliance and Rec Sync. In this way, the system can collect all the archived meta-configuration from the distributed input/output controllers and enter them into the EPICS Archiver Appliance automatically. Furthermore, we also developed a web-based GUI to provide automatic visualization of real-time and historical data. At present,this system is under commissioning at HLS-Ⅱ. The results indicate that the new archiving system is reliable and convenient to operate. 9Metallogenic Mechanism and Tectonic Setting of Tungsten Mineralization in the Yangbishan Deposit in Northeastern China显示文摘The Yangbishan iron–tungsten deposit in the Shuangyashan area of Heilongjiang Province is located in the center of the Jiamusi Massif in northeastern China. The rare earth element and trace element compositions of the scheelite show that it formed in a reducing environment and inherited the rare earth element features of the ore-forming fluid. The geochemical characteristics of the gneissic granite associated with the tungsten mineralization show that the magma formed in this reducing environment and originated from the partial melting of metamorphosed shale that contained organic carbon and was enriched with tungsten. In addition, in situ Hf isotopic analysis of zircons from the gneissic granite indicates that they probably originated from the partial melting of a predominantly Paleo–Mesoproterozoic crustal source. According to LA-ICP-MS zircon dating, the Yangbishan orerelated gneissic granite has an Early Paleozoic crystallization age of 520.6 ± 2.8 Ma. This study, together with previous data, indicates that the massifs of northeastern China, including Erguna, Xing'an, Songliao, Jiamusi, and Khanka massifs, belonged to an orogenic belt that existed along the southern margin of the Siberian Craton during the late Pan-African period. 10Granular porous calcium carbonate particles for scalable and high-performance solar-driven thermochemical heat storage显示文摘Calcium carbonate is promising thermochemical heat storage material for next-generation solar power systems due to its high energy storage density,low cost,and high operation temperature.Researchers have tried to improve energy storage performances of calcium carbonate recently,but most researches focus on powders,which are not suitable for scalable applications.Here,novel granular porous calcium carbonate particles with very high solar absorptance,energy storage density,abrasive resistances,and energy storage rate are proposed for direct solar thermochemical heat storage.The average solar absorptance is improved by 234%compared with ordinary particles.Both cycle stability and abrasive resistances are excellent with almost no decay of energy storage density over 25 cycles nor apparent particle weight loss over 24 h of continuous operation insides a planetary ball mill.In addition,the decomposition temperature is reduced by 2.8%–5.6%while the reaction rate of heat storage is enhanced by 80%–205%depending on the CO_(2) partial pressure.The decomposition process of doped granular porous CaCO_(3) particles is found to involve three overlapping processes.This work provides new routes to achieve scalable direct solar thermochemical heat storage for next-generation high-temperature solar power systems.SONG Chao LIU XiangLei XUAN YiMin ZHENG HangBin GAO Ke TENG Liang DA Yun LI Chuan LI YongLiang DING YuLong 2021Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,10:4

12Identification of WRKY Transcription Factors Related to Saikosaponin Biosynthesis in Adventitious Roots of Bupleurum chinense显示文摘Objective To identify the genes of WRKY transcription factors(TFs) from roots of Bupleurum chinense and genes that potentially regulate saikosaponin(SS) biosynthesis.Methods Firstly,the subfamily cluster analysis was mainly based on Arabidopsis thaliana WRKYs for 27 putative WRKY TFs selected from previous transcriptome sequencing data.Secondly,qPCR was used to screen such genes of WRKY TFs that could be induced by NaCI and PEG6000 in adventitious roots of B.chinense.Meanwhile,saikosaponins(SSs) in treated adventitious roots were determined by HPLC.The roots were collected at 0,2,4,8,12,24,48,and 72 h after treatments,and 120 h only for PEG.Finally,the tissue-specific expression was analyzed on screened genes by qPCR.Results The 27 genes were grouped into three categories:There were nine in Group Ⅰ,15 in Group Ⅱ,and two in Group Ⅲ.Four genes of WRKYTFs,BCWRKY6,BCWRKY16,BCWRKY32,and BCWRKY35 were obviously induced by NaCI in adventitious roots of B.chinense,while only BCWRKY32 was induced by PEG.The content of SSs increased at different levels in NaCI and PEG6000 treatment.Three genes including BCWRKY6,BCWRKY32,and BCWRKY35,expressed most in roots,were similar to the accumulation pattern of SS.Conclusion The three WRKY genes,BCWRKY6,BCWRKY32,and BCWRKY35,may be involved in the biosynthesis of SS.Su-rui Wu Ke Gao Xuan Liu Jiao Xu Jian-he Wei Chun Sui 2017Chinese Herbal Medicines2017,9,2:4
13Generation of tooth-like structures from integration-free human urine induced pluripotent stem cells显示文摘Background:Tooth is vital not only for a good smile,but also good health.Yet,we lose tooth regularly due to accidents or diseases.An ideal solution to this problem is to regenerate tooth with patients’own cells.Here we describe the generation of tooth-like structures from integration-free human urine induced pluripotent stem cells(ifhU-iPSCs).Results:We first differentiated ifhU-iPSCs to epithelial sheets,which were then recombined with E14.5 mouse dental mesenchymes.Tooth-like structures were recovered from these recombinants in 3 weeks with success rate up to 30%for 8 different iPSC lines,comparable to H1 hESC.We further detected that ifhU-iPSC derived epithelial sheets differentiated into enamel-secreting ameloblasts in the tooth-like structures,possessing physical properties such as elastic modulus and hardness found in the regular human tooth.Conclusion:Our results demonstrate that ifhU-iPSCs can be used to regenerate patient specific dental tissues or even tooth for further drug screening or regenerative therapies.Jinglei Cai Yanmei Zhang Pengfei Liu Shubin Chen Xuan Wu Yuhua Sun Ang Li Ke Huang Rongping Luo Lihui Wang Ying Liu Ting Zhou Shicheng Wei Guangjin Pan Duanqing Pei 2013Cell Regeneration2013,2,1:4
14Pyridine-induced interfacial structural transformation of tetraphenylethylene derivatives investigated by scanning tunneling microscopy显示文摘The two-dimensional self-assembly behaviors of tetraphenylethylene (TPE)molecules are significant for further applications, but reports are rare. The self-assembled structures of two C2-symmetry TPE derivatives (H4TCPE and H4ETrC)possessing propeller structures and their stimulus responses to the additionof vinylpyridine derivatives were thoroughly studied with the assistance ofscanning tunneling microscopy (STM) technique in combination with densityfunctional theory (DFT) calculations. Although their chemical structures weresimilar, the H4TCPE and H4ETTC molecules self-assembled into closely packedlamellar and quadrilateral structures, respectivel3~ at the 1-heptanoic acid/HOPGinterface. After the addition of pyridine derivatives (DPE, PEBP-C4, andPEBP-C8), H4TCPE and H4ETTC showed different responsiveness resultingin different co-assembly structures. The results indicated that the structuresof pyridine derivatives--including backbones and substituents--affected theintermolecular interactions of both H4TCPE/pyridine and H4ETTC/pyridinesystems. 16Guest selectivity in the supramolecular host networks fabricated by van der Waals force and hydrogen bond显示文摘Here, the structural transformations of H4ETTC induced by coronene (COR) and selective adsorption behaviors of COR in different templates were investigated by seanning tunnelling microscope (STM). It was discovered that the assembled architecture of H4ETTC at the HOPG/ heptanoic acid interface depended on the concentration of COR, and the clusters of COR were obtained in the kagome nanoporous network of H4ETTC molecules at a high concentration of COR solution. In addition, COR clusters can also be formed in the hexagonal porous structure of hexaphenylbenzene (HPB) molecules modified by alkyl chains at the HOPG/heptanoic acid interface. When both H4ETTC and HPB assembly structures, based on hydrogen bonding and van der Waals force respectively, were selected as the host templates, COR showed selectivity for HPB template to form HPB/COR hexagonal host-guest architecture. 17Associations of Daytime Napping with Incident Cardiovascular Diseases and Hypertension in Chinese Adults:A Nationwide Cohort Study显示文摘Objective This study aimed to examine the associations of daytime napping with incident risks of cardiovascular diseases(CVDs)and hypertension(HTN).Methods Data for napping and CVD outcomes in 25 provinces were collected from baseline(2010)and three waves of follow-up(2012-2017)investigations of the China Family Panel Studies.Cox frailty models with random intercepts for the surveyed provinces were used to assess the longitudinal effects of daytime napping on CVD and HTN.Results Compared with non-nappers,30+min nappers had higher risks of CVD and HTN,while no significant associations were observed among<30 min nappers.Incident risks among 30-to<60-min nappers increased by 22%[hazard ratio(HR)1.22,95% confidence interval(CI)1.08-1.39]for CVD and 21%(1.21,1.04-1.41)for HTN,respectively,with corresponding HRs of CVD and HTN of 1.27(1.09-1.47)and 1.38(1.16-1.65)among≥60 min nappers.Nap-associated CVD risks varied by subgroups,with stronger associations in participants with lower body mass index(<24 kg/m^(2)),physically inactive persons,smokers,and participants with longer nighttime sleep(≥7 h/night).Significant effects of daytime napping were observed on rural and northern residents only,highlighting great regional variations in CVD risks associated with napping habits.Conclusions This cohort study revealed strong evidence that long daytime napping(≥30 min)is associated with an increased incidence of cardiovascular events.WANG Lu WANG Ke LIU Lin Jiong ZHANG Yuan Yuan SHU Hai Nan WANG Kai ZHOU Pei Xuan ZHANG Yun Quan 2022Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2022,35,1:2
18Hyperbranched polymer micelles with triple-stimuli backbone-breakable iminoboronate ester linkages显示文摘Hyperbranched polymers have attracted increasing interests due to their unique structure-related advantages and have been utilized as drug carriers for controlled delivery.However,it is still challenging to prepare multi stimuli-responsive hyperbranched polymers to sense and response the complex yet delicate changes in physiological environment.Herein,we propose a triple-stimuli backbone-breakable hyperbranched polymer(HBP(OEG-IB)),which is prepared via the convenient iminoboronate multicomponent reaction ofα,ω-di(1,2-diol)s oligo(ethylene glycol),tris(3-aminopropyl)amine and 2-formylphenylboronic acid.Upon the stimulation of CO2,lactic acid and glutathione,micelles formed by HBP(OEG-IB)could be disrupted via the dissociation of iminoboronate ester bond to subsequent release incorporated camptothecin(CPT).Cell experiments show that the HBP(OEG-IB)is non-toxic but can enhance the therapeutic effect of CPT thanks to the effect of the protonated tertiary amino groups.The demonstration made in this work can enrich the design of responsive HBPs and can be readily applied to other systems with tunable responsive properties and functions.Xuan Zhang Jushan Gao Xiaoye Zhao Zhaotie Liu Zhongwen Liu Ke Wang Guo Li Jinqiang Jiang 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,7:2
19Catalytic Film and Selective Oxidation of Iso-butylene显示文摘A kind of heteropoly compound film supported on Ce0.5Zr0.5O2 oxide was prepared on a porous titanium tube. The catalytic activity of the film for the selective oxidation of iso-butylene was tested and compared with the fixed-bed reactor.
