3Machine Learning for 5G and Beyond:From ModelBased to Data-Driven Mobile Wireless Networks显示文摘During the past few decades,mobile wireless communications have experienced four generations of technological revolution,namely from 1 G to 4 G,and the deployment of the latest 5 G networks is expected to take place in 2019.One fundamental question is how we can push forward the development of mobile wireless communications while it has become an extremely complex and sophisticated system.We believe that the answer lies in the huge volumes of data produced by the network itself,and machine learning may become a key to exploit such information.In this paper,we elaborate why the conventional model-based paradigm,which has been widely proved useful in pre-5 G networks,can be less efficient or even less practical in the future 5 G and beyond mobile networks.Then,we explain how the data-driven paradigm,using state-of-the-art machine learning techniques,can become a promising solution.At last,we provide a typical use case of the data-driven paradigm,i.e.,proactive load balancing,in which online learning is utilized to adjust cell configurations in advance to avoid burst congestion caused by rapid traffic changes.Tianyu Wang Shaowei Wang Zhi-Hua Zhou 2019China Communications2019,16,1:10
4High-speed image reconstruction for optically sectioned,super-resolution structured illumination microscopy显示文摘Super-resolution structured illumination microscopy(SR-SIM)is an outstanding method for visualizing the subcellular dynamics in living cells.To date,by using elaborately designed systems and algorithms,SR-SIM can achieve rapid,optically sectioned,SR observation with hundreds to thousands of time points.However,real-time observation is still out of reach for most SIM setups as conventional algorithms for image reconstruction involve a heavy computing burden.To address this limitation,an accelerated reconstruction algorithm was developed by implementing a simplified workflow for SR-SIM,termed joint space and frequency reconstruction.This algorithm results in an 80-fold improvement in reconstruction speed relative to the widely used Wiener-SIM.Critically,the increased processing speed does not come at the expense of spatial resolution or sectioning capability,as demonstrated by live imaging of microtubule dynamics and mitochondrial tubulation.Zhaojun Wang Tianyu Zhao Huiwen Hao Yanan Cai Kun Feng Xue Yun Yansheng Liang Shaowei Wang Yujie Sun Piero RBianco Kwangsung Oh Ming Lei 2022Advanced Photonics2022,4,2:9

7Association of emergency room visits for respiratory diseases with sources of ambient PM2.5显示文摘Previous studies have reported associations of short-term exposure to different sources of ambient fine particulate matter(PM2.5)and increased mortality or hospitalizations for respiratory diseases.Few studies,however,have focused on the short-term effects of source-specific PM2.5 on emergency room visits(ERVs)of respiratory diseases.Source apportionment for PM2.5 was performed with Positive Matrix Factorization(PMF)and generalized additive model was applied to estimate associations between source-specific PM2.5 and respiratory disease ERVs.The association of PM2.5 and total respiratory ERVs was found on lag4(RR=1.011,95%CI:1.002,1.020)per interquartile range(76μg/m3)increase.We found PM2.5 to be significantly associated with asthma,bronchitis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)ERVs,with the strongest effects on lag5(RR=1.072,95%CI:1.024,1.119),lag4(RR=1.104,95%CI:1.032,1.176)and lag3(RR=1.091,95%CI:1.047,1.135),respectively.The estimated effects of PM2.5 changed little after adjusting for different air pollutants.Six primary PM2.5 sources were identified using PMF analysis,including dust/soil(6.7%),industry emission(4.5%),secondary aerosols(30.3%),metal processing(3.2%),coal combustion(37.5%)and traffic-related source(17.8%).Some of the sources were identified to have effects on ERVs of total respiratory diseases(dust/soil,secondary aerosols,metal processing,coal combustion and traffic-related source),bronchitis ERVs(dust/soil)and COPD ERVs(traffic-related source,industry emission and secondary aerosols).Different sources of PM2.5 contribute to increased risk of respiratory ERVs to different extents,which may provide potential implications for the decision making of air quality related policies,rational emission control and public health welfare.Rui Chi Hongyu Li Qian Wang Qiangrong Zhai Daidai Wang Meng Wu Qichen Liu Shaowei Wu Qingbian Ma Furong Deng Xinbiao Guo 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,12:8

10Tribological Behavior of In Situ TiC/Graphene/Graphite/Ti6Al4V Matrix Composite Through Laser Cladding显示文摘The TiC/graphene/graphite/Ti6 Al4 V composite coating was prepared by laser cladding.The microstructure and tribological behavior of the coating were studied.The in situ reaction between graphene and Ti occurred,and feathery TiC was formed.The feathery TiC was homogeneously distributed betweenα’acicular martensites which was refined with the addition of graphene.Some graphene was transformed into allotrope graphite under the laser irradiation.The TiC hard particles and the self-lubrication of graphene/graphite improved the wear resistance of composite coating.The wear rate and friction coefficient of TiC/graphene/graphite/Ti6 Al4 V composite coating decreased with the increase in sliding speed,a mechanical mixing layer(MML)was formed on the wear surface of the composite coating under the frictional heat,which protected the substrate and reduced the contact.Because of the self-lubricating properties of graphene/graphite,interlayer sliding occurred easily,which also effectively reduced friction.The wear rate of TiC/graphene/graphite/Ti6 Al4 V composite coating increased with the increase in load,but the friction coefficient decreased.The plastic deformation of subsurface layer was more serious under high load,and a stable self-lubricating MML with a protective effect was formed between the wear interfaces,which reduced the friction coefficient.With the increase in load,the wear mechanism changed from abrasive and oxidation wear to delamination,fatigue and oxidation wear.Zhanyong Zhao Lizheng Zhang Peikang Bai Wenbo Du Shaowei Wang Xiangyan Xu Qingnan Dong Yuxin Li Bing Han 2021Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2021,34,10:5
11Observed displacement data-based identification method of deformation time-varying effect of high concrete dams显示文摘The long-term safety of high concrete dams has become the focus and central issues of public attention. Deformation is an actual comprehensive reflection of concrete dams. Especially the deformation time-varying effect, is a key index for evaluating the structural behavior, health status, and their evolution of a concrete dam in long-term service. In this paper, causing factors of the deformation time-varying effect of concrete dams were analyzed, and the time-varying effect was divided into two parts, which are the inherent time-varying effect and the time-varying effect caused by the change of dam structural performance. Then, based on the observed dam displacement and the wavelet multi-resolution analysis, causal models for identifying the later deformation time-varying effect and the identification process were proposed. 20Synthetic aperture ptychography:coded sensor translation for joint spatial-Fourier bandwidth expansion显示文摘Conventional ptychography translates an object through a localized probe beam to widen the field of view in real space.Fourier ptychography translates the object spectrum through a pupil aperture to expand the Fourier bandwidth in reciprocal space.Here we report an imaging modality,termed synthetic aperture ptychography(SAP),to get the best of both techniques.In SAP,we illuminate a stationary object using an extended plane wave and translate a coded image sensor at the far field for data acquisition.The coded layer attached on the sensor modulates the object exit waves and serves as an effective ptychographic probe for phase retrieval.The sensor translation process in SAP synthesizes a large complex-valued wavefront at the intermediate aperture plane.By propagating this wavefront back to the object plane,we can widen the field of view in real space and expand the Fourier bandwidth in reciprocal space simultaneously.We validate the SAP approach with transmission targets and reflection silicon microchips.A 20-mm aperture was synthesized using a 5-mm sensor,achieving a fourfold gain in resolution and 16-fold gain in field of view for object recovery.In addition,the thin sample requirement in ptychography is no longer required in SAP.One can digitally propagate the recovered exit wave to any axial position for post-acquisition refocusing.The SAP scheme offers a solution for far-field sub-diffraction imaging without using lenses.It can be adopted in coherent diffraction imaging setups with radiation sources from visible light,extreme ultraviolet,and X-ray,to electron.PENGMING SONG SHAOWEI JIANG TIANBO WANG CHENGFEI GUO RUIHAI WANG TERRANCE ZHANG GUOAN ZHENG 2022Photonics Research2022,10,7:2
