| 5 | Recovery of Cu(Ⅱ) from aqueous solution by induced crystallization in a long-term operation显示文摘The feasibility of copper recovery by induced crystallization in a long period(174 days) was investigated in a seeded fluidized bed reactor(FBR). The process was divided into 3 periods according to different influent conditions, and the period III was separated into III-a and IIIb due to the adjustment of the molar ratio of CO_3^(2-)concentration to copper concentration([CT]/[Cu^(2+)]). The removal efficiency could exceed 95% and the average effluent copper concentration decreased to 3.0 mg/L. The mean particle size of seed grains with copper crystals coating on, raised to 0.36 mm from initial 0.18 mm. During period III-a, the supersaturation exceeded 2.88 × 104, the removal efficiency decreased to 60%–80% and the particle size dropped to 0.30 mm, due to the generation of fines by homogeneous crystallization and seeds breaking. And the morphology of the crystals on the seed grains changed from rod-like to spherical which lead to the particle size decreasing. In period III-b,the supersaturation was modified by adjusting the molar ratio of [CT]/[Cu2+] to 1.2 from 2.The efficiency was back to 95% and the mean particle size grew to 0.36 mm at the end of IIIb, the crystals coating on the seeds turned back to rod-like products of good stability. | 11 | Performance analysis and optimization of free cooling strategies for a liquid-cooled data center显示文摘The increasing power density of IT electronics and the enormous energy consumption of data centers lead to the urgent demand for efficient cooling technology.Due to its efficiency and safety,liquid-cooled heat sink technology may gradually replace air-cooled technology over time.With the ambient or higher water supply temperature,the liquid-cooled technology shortens the operating time of the chiller and improves its coefficient of performance,while the pump power consumption may increase for satisfying the constant cooling capacity.Therefore,it is significant to study the optimal water supply temperature to achieve energy-efficient operation of data centers.A virtual 30.1 kW data center is considered as the case,the liquid-cooled system is constructed with a combination of innovative manifold microchannel heat sink with oblique fins and indirect evaporative cooling technology to minimize energy consumption.A hybrid thermal management model integrating the heat dissipation model and the power consumption model is established by TRNSYS and FLUENT software.To the highest chip-safe operating temperature premise,the energy performance is analyzed under various water supply temperatures in Guangzhou.The result shows that only 21.5-hour mechanical cooling is needed with the 30℃server inlet temperature throughout the year.And the minimized power consumption occurs with the constant 29℃server inlet temperature.Moreover,the temperature adaptive control strategy(TACS)is adopted to test the cooling system power consumption under different regulation frequencies,and the by-week TACS can achieve another 11.5%energy saving than the minimum power consumption of the constant temperature control strategy. | Weinan Zhou Qin Sun Weimin Luo Wei Xiao Pengfei Cui Wei Wu Kaijun Dong | 2023 | Building Simulation2023,16,8: | 0 |
| 12 | RAISE:A Resilient Anonymous Information Sharing Environment显示文摘With the widespread application of cloud computing and network virtualization technologies,more and more enterprise applications are directly deployed in the cloud.However,the traditional TCP/IP network transmission model does not fully consider the information security issues caused by the uncontrollable internet environment.Network security communication solutions represented by encrypted virtual private networks(VPN)are facing multiple security threats.In fact,during the communication process,the user application needs to protect not only the content of the communication but also the behavior of the communication,such as the communication relationship,the communication protocol,and so on.Inspired by blockchain and software-defined networking technology,this paper proposes a resilient anonymous information sharing environment,RAISE.The RAISE system consists of user agents,a core switching network and a control cluster based on a consortium blockchain.User agents are responsible for segmenting,encrypting,and encapsulating user traffic.The core switching network forwards user traffic according to the rules issued by the controller,and the controller dynamically calculates the forwarding rules according to the security policy.Different from onion routing technology,RAISE adopts the controller to replace the onion routing model,which effectively overcomes the uncontrollability of nodes.The dispersed computing model is introduced to replace the TCP/IP pipeline transmission models,which overcomes the problems of anti-tracking and traffic hijacking that cannot be solved by VPNs.We propose a blockchain control plane framework,design the desired consensus algorithmand deploy a RAISE systemconsisting of 150 nodes in an internet environment.The experimental results show that the use of blockchain technology can effectively improve the reliability and security of the control plane.While maintaining high-performance network transmission,it further provides network communication security. | Ning Hu Ling Liu Xin Liu Kaijun Wu Yue Zhao | 2023 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2023,137,12: | 0 |

| 14 | Edible mushrooms as a potent therapeutics of subclinical thyroid dysfunction among adults,especially in obese individuals:a prospective cohort study显示文摘Background:Mushrooms are a good source of many nutrients which are potentially beneficial for chronic diseases.We speculated that due to its abundant nutrients edible mushrooms might have a beneficial effect on the prevention of subclinical thyroid dysfunction(SCTD).Therefore,we designed a large-scale cohort study to examine whether mushrooms consumption is a protective factor for SCTD in adults.Methods:This prospective cohort study investigated 6631 participants(mean age:(45.0±10.2)years;55.1%men).Edible mushrooms consumption was measured at baseline using a validated food frequency questionnaire.SCTD was defined as abnormal serum thyroid-stimulating hormone levels and normal free thyroxine.Cox proportional hazards regression models were used to examine the association of edible mushrooms consumption with incident SCTD.Results:During follow-up period,a total of 262 new cases of SCTD were identified,the incidence rate of subclinical hypothyroidism was 8.9/1000 person-years and subclinical hyperthyroidism was 7.2/1000 person-years.After adjusting potential confounding factors,the multivariable hazard ratios(95%confidence intervals)for subclinical hypothyroidism were 1.00(reference)for almost never,0.53(0.29,0.97)for 1-3 times/week and 0.30(0.10,0.87)for≥4 times/week(P for trend=0.02).It also showed edible mushrooms consumption was inversely associated with subclinical hypothyroidism in obese individuals but not non-obese individuals,the final hazard ratios(95%confidence intervals)were 0.14(0.03,0.73)(P for trend<0.01).Conclusions:This population-based prospective cohort study has firstly demonstrated that higher edible mushrooms consumption was significantly associated with lower incidence of subclinical hypothyroidism among general adult population,especially in obese individuals. | Juanjuan Zhang Sabina Rayamajhi Amrish Thapa Ge Meng Qing Zhang Li Liu Hongmei Wu Yeqing Gu Shunming Zhang Tingjing Zhang Xuena Wang Zhixia Cao Jun Dong Xiaoxi Zheng Xu Zhang Xinrong Dong Xing Wang Shaomei Sun Ming Zhou Qiyu Jia Kun Song Kaijun Niu | 2023 | Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,1: | 0 |
