Resting-state connectivity in the default mode network and insula during experimental low back pain显示文摘Functional magnetic resonance imaging studies have shown that the insular cortex has a significant role in pain identification and information integration, while the default mode network is associated with cognitive and memory-related aspects of pain perception. However, changes in the functional connectivity between the default mode network and insula during pain remain unclear. This study used 3.0 T functional magnetic resonance imaging scans in 12 healthy subjects aged 24.8 ± 3.3 years to compare the differences in the functional activity and connectivity of the insula and default mode network between the baseline and pain condition induced by intramuscular injection of hypertonic saline. Compared with the baseline, the insula was more functionally connected with the medial prefrontal and lateral temporal cortices, whereas there was lower connectivity with the posterior cingulate cortex, precuneus and inferior parietal lobule in the pain condition. In addition, compared with baseline, the anterior cingulate cortex exhibited greater connectivity with the posterior insula, but lower connectivity with the anterior insula, during the pain condition. These data indicate that experimental low back pain led to dysfunction in the connectivity between the insula and default mode network resulting from an impairment of the regions of the brain related to cognition and emotion, suggesting the importance of the interaction between these regions in pain processing. | Shanshan Zhang Wen Wu Guozhi Huang Ziping Liu Shigui Guo Jianming Yang Kangling Wang | 2014 | Neural Regeneration Research2014,9,2: | 3
Gene expression profiling under different photoperiod/temperature conditions in a photoperiod-/thermo-sensitive genic male sterile line of rice(Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘Peiai 64S is a photoperiod- and thermo- sensitive genic male sterile (PTSGMS) line of rice, which is male sterile at long day/high temperature and partial fertile at short day/low temperature. A cDNA array representing 3328 unique rice genes was used to profile the gene expression patterns in the young panicles of Peiai 64S under these two condi- tions. The statistical data showed that up to 14.60% of genes exhibited up-or down-regulated expressions in the plants at long day/high temperature compared with plants at short day/low temperature. Only four genes were up-regulated while 482 genes down-regulated. Real-time PCR with all the up-regulated and 9 randomly selected down-regulated genes confirmed the differential expressions detected by the array, indicating that the constructed cDNA array is reliable. These differently expressed genes participated in almost all cell biological responses. Analysis of up- and down-regulated genes revealed distinctive changes between the mRNA abundances of MMK1 and MMK2, both of which are analogs ofMAPK, and significant down-regulation of several transcription factors. It was suggested that changes that occurred in the MAPK signal transduction path- way might disturb the transcription control necessary for morphogenesis of pollens and corresponding phys- iological functions. | GUO Xiaoqin DONG Haitao ZHENG Kangle LUO Hongmei TAN Xuelin FANG Yongqi WANG Yanqin DENG Ye DAI Chengen LOU Yichun SHAO Jing SHI Wenqin ZHAO Dong LI Debao | 2006 | Chinese Science Bulletin2006,51,2: | 2

EdgeKeeper: a trusted edge computing framework for ubiquitous power Internet of Things显示文摘Ubiquitous power Internet of Things(IoT)is a smart service system oriented to all aspects of the power system, and has the characteristics of universal interconnection,human-computer interaction, comprehensive state perception, efficient information processing, and other convenient and flexible applications. It has become a hot topic in the field of IoT.We summarize some existing research work on the IoT and edge computing framework.Because it is difficult to meet the requirements of ubiquitous power IoT for edge computing in terms of real time, security, reliability, and business function adaptation using the general edge computing framework software,we propose a trusted edge computing framework, named“EdgeKeeper,”adapting to the ubiquitous power IoT.Several key technologies such as security and trust, quality of service guarantee, application management, and cloud-edge collaboration are desired to meet the needs of the edge computing framework.Experiments comprehensively evaluate EdgeKeeper from the aspects of function, performance, and security.Comparison results show that EdgeKeeper is the most suitable edge computing framework for the electricity IoT.Finally, future directions for research are proposed. | Weiyong YANG Wei LIU Xingshen WEI Zixin GUO Kangle YANG Hao HUANG Longyun QI | 2021 | Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering2021,22,3: | 1
Recent Progress of Fuel-Driven Temporary Materials显示文摘Fuel-driven dissipative self-assembly,which is a well-established concept in recent years, refers to out-of-equilibrium molecular self-assembly initiated and supported by the addition of active molecules (chemical fuel). It widely exists in nature since many temporary, active micro- or nanostructures in living bodies are generated by the dissipative self-assembly of biomolecules. Therefore, the study on dissipative self-assembly provides a good opportunity to have an insight into the microscopic mechanism of living organisms. In the meantime, dissipative assembly is thought to be a potential pathway to achieve dynamic, temporary supramolecular materials.Recently,a number of temporary materials have been developed with the aid of strategies for realizing dissipative self-assembly.Some of their properties, including solubility, stiffness, turbidity, color,or self-healing ability, change upon the addition of chemical fuel but spontaneously restore with chemical fuel consumption. The dynamic of these materials brings them various unprecedented functions. In this review, the principles of fabricating a fuel-driven temporary material are first reviewed.Subsequently, recent examples of fuel-driven temporary materials are emphatically summarized, including gels,self-erased inks,nanoreactors,self-healing materials, nanochannels, and droplets. Finally, the challenges of developing fuel-driven temporary materials and some perspectives on the function and application of such kind of materials are discussed. | Guangtong Wang Mengmeng Nan Kangle Guo Yaqi Pan Tao Jia Shaoqin Liu | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Chemistry2023,41,23: | 0
Multiple splicing types of OsRIX4,an RAD21 homolog in rice (Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘The present paper describes multiple splicing types of OsRIX4,an RAD21 homolog in rice. A type of alternative splicing (AS),distinctive from all five previously known splicing types, was identified in which interior sequences of a constitutive exon could be spliced. Translation of the transcript produced with this AS type was demonstrated at the protein level. Expression of multiple transcripts was organ specific. The expression abundance of transcripts,OsRIX4-4 and OsRIX4-5,was positively correlated with fertility in rice. The splicing type identified in the present study provided the means to further un-derstand and define different mRNA splicing types in plants and suggested that post-transcription processing of mRNA and its regulation mechanism are complex. | DONG HaiTaoi GUO XiaoQin PEI YanXi DAI ChengEn FANG YongQi TU QiChao ZHUANG JieYun ZHAO Dong ZHENG KangLe LI DeBao | 2007 | Chinese Science Bulletin2007,52,11: | 0
