| 1 | Endovascular treatment of carotid cavernous sinus fistula: A systematic review显示文摘Carotid cavernous sinus fistulas are abnormal communications between the carotid system and the cavernous sinus. Several classification schemes have described carotid cavernous sinus fistulas according to etiology, hemodynamic features, or the angiographic arterial architecture. Increased pressure within the cavernous sinus appears to be the main factor in pathophysiology. The clinical features are related to size, exact location, and duration of the fistula, adequacy and route of venous drainage and the presence of arterial/venous collaterals. Noninvasive imaging (computed tomography, magnetic resonance, computed tomography angiography, magnetic resonance angiography, Doppler) is often used in the initial workup of a possible carotid cavernous sinus fistulas. Cerebral angiography is the gold standard for the definitive diagnosis, classification, and planning of treatment for these lesions. The endovascular approach has evolved as the mainstay therapy for definitive treatment in situations including clinical emergencies. | 2 | Endovascular treatment of extracranial vertebral artery stenosis显示文摘Percutaneous angioplasty and stenting for the treatment of extracranial vertebral artery(VA) stenosis seems a safe,effective and useful technique for resolving symptoms and improving blood flow to the posterior circulation,with a low complication rate and good long-term results.In patients with severe tortuosity of the vessel,stent placement is a real challenge.The new coronary balloon-expandable stents may be preferred.A large variability of restenosis rates has been reported.Drug-eluting stents may be the solution.After a comprehensive review of the literature,it can be concluded that percutaneous angioplasty and stenting of extracranial VA stenosis is technically feasible,but there is insufficient evidence from randomized trials to demonstrate that endovascular management is superior to best medical management. | Burak Kocak Bora Korkmazer Civan Islak Naci Kocer Osman Kizilkilic | 2012 | World Journal of Radiology2012，4，9： | 13 |
| 3 | Decreased paraoxonase1 activity and increased malondialdehyde and oxidative DNA damage levels in primary open angle glaucoma显示文摘To investigate the malondialdehyde(MDA) levels,paraoxonase1(PON1) activity and 8-hydroxy 2-deoxyguanosine(8-OHd G) levels in the primary open angle glaucoma(POAG) patient.Blood samples from 52 healthy individuals and 53 patients with POAG were analyzed for MDA and 8-OHd G by high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) and PON1 by spectrophotometry.The data obtained were analyzed statistically.MDA levels were 10.46±8.4 and 4.70±1.79 μmol; PON1 levels were 121 ±39.55 and 161.62 ±60.22 U/m L; and 8-OHd G values were1.32 ±0.53/10~6 d G and 0.47 ±0.27/10~6 d G in the POAG patients and the control group,respectively.The difference was significant in MDA levels,8-OHd G levels and PON1 activity in POAG patients in comparison with controls(P <0.001).We concluded that the observed increase in MDA and 8-OHd G levels may be correlated with decreased PON1 activity.Oxidative stress plays an important role in glaucoma development. | Ugur Yilmaz Mumcu Ibrahim Kocer Orhan Ates H.Hakan Alp | 2016 | International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2016，9，10： | 6 |
| 4 | Knockout of glutathione peroxidase 5 down-regulates the piRNAs in the caput epididymidis of aged mice显示文摘The mammalian epididymis not only plays a fun dame ntal role in the maturati on of spermatozoa,but also provides protecti on agai nst various stressors.The foremost among these is the threat posed by oxidative stress,which arises from an imbalance in reactive oxygen species and can elicit damage to cellular lipids,proteins,and nucleic acids.In mice,the risk of oxidative damage to spermatozoa is mitigated through the expression and secretion of glutathione peroxidase 5(GPX5)as a major luminal scavenger in the proximal caput epididymidal segment.Accordingly,the loss of GPX5^-/-mediated protection leads to impaired DNA integrity in the spermatozoa of aged Gpx57 mice.To explore the underlying mechanism,we have conducted transcriptomic analysis of caput epididymidal epithelial cells from aged(13 months old)Gpx5^-/-m mice.This analysis revealed the dysregulation of several thousand epididymal mRNA transcripts,in eluding the downregulation of a subgroup of piRNA pathway gen es,in aged Gpx5^-/-mice.In agreeme nt with these fin dings,we also observed the loss of piRNAs,which potentially bind to the P-element-induced wimpy testis(PlWI)-like proteins PIWIL1 and PIWIL2.The absence of these piRNAs was correlated with the elevated mRNA levels of their putative gene targets in the caput epididymidis of Gpx5^-/-mice.Importantly,the oxidative stress response genes tend to have more targeting piRNAs,and many of them were among the top increased genes upon the loss of GPX5^-/-.Taken together,our findings suggest the existence of a previously uncharacterized somatic piRNA pathway in the mammalian epididymis and its possible invoIvement in the aging and oxidative stress-mediated responses. | Chen Chu Lu Yu Joelle Henry-Berger Yan-Fei Ru Ayhan Kocer Alexandre Champroux Zhi-Tong Li Miao He Sheng-Song Xie Wu-Bin Ma Min-Jie Ni Zi-Mei Ni Yun-Li Guo Zhao-Liang Fei Lan-Tao Gou Qiang Liu Samanta Sharma Yu Zhou Mo-Fang Liu Charlie Degui Chen Andrew L Eamens Brett Nixon Yu-Chuan Zhou Joel R Drevet Yong-Lian Zhang | 2020 | Asian Journal of Andrology2020，22，6： | 2 |
