1Systemic therapy for cervical carcinoma–current status显示文摘Two major treatment modalities in cervical cancer are radiation therapy(RT) and surgery. Chemotherapy continues to be the main form of systemic therapy adjunctive to definitive local therapies, and is used for palliation.Platinum-based regimens, administered concurrently with both definitive and postoperative RT, were demonstrated to provide significant survival benefits, whereas the beneficial effect of concurrent chemoradiotherapy in later-stage disease was smaller. The role of chemotherapy in addition to RT in IB1/IIA1 cervical cancer patients not undergoing surgery remains undefined. Likewise, the role of chemotherapy in combination with postoperative RT for patients with intermediate-risk factors for recurrence has not yet been verified. The recent standard for chemoradiotherapy is cisplatin alone administered weekly. Other cisplatin-based or non-cisplatin-based regimens have not been subjected to large clinical studies. The benefits of consolidation chemotherapy after chemoradiation for locally advanced cervical cancer are still undetermined. Neoadjuvant cisplatin-based chemotherapy followed by surgery has shown survival benefits, however its role in the era of chemoradiotherapy remains unclear. The combination of cisplatin and paclitaxel is considered a standard regimen in the palliative setting. There is no standard of care for second-line systemic therapy in advanced cervical cancer.Bevacizumab combined with palliative chemotherapy(cisplatin/paclitaxel or topotecan/paclitaxel) in the first-line treatment for recurrent/metastatic cervical cancer significantly improves overall survival when compared to chemotherapy alone. The role of immunotherapy in cervical cancer remains to be established. The optimal combined modality treatment including systemic therapy for cervical tumors of non-squamous histology remains a matter of debate. 2植酸/植酸钠在食品工业上的应用研究进展显示文摘植酸/植酸钠广泛存在于谷类、豆类和油料作物等中,应用非常广泛,在食品工业上可用作食品抗氧化剂、抑菌剂、护色剂、螯合剂和保鲜剂等。本文简述了植酸/植酸钠的结构、组成和理化特性,并且综述其在食品工业中的应用与研究进展。重点介绍了植酸/植酸钠在果蔬制品、饮料、发酵食品、酿造酒、油脂和脂肪制品、水产品、肉制品、焙烤制品和面制品等加工中的应用及研究进展。同时探讨了目前植酸/植酸钠在食品工业应用中存在的问题及解决对策,并对其发展趋势进行展望。指出目前高纯度植酸和固体植酸的生产成本较高,将来可以在植酸的色谱层析分离材料上进行改进。同时,为了增加植酸在油溶性食品中的应用范围,可以通过植酸的改性或借助于乳化、微乳化技术制备植酸/植酸钠的乳液和微乳液产品,是将来的发展方向。沙如意 崔艳丽 王少林 毛建卫 Krystyna Malinska 2018现代食品科技2018,34,6:24
3Loss of FHIT expression in gastric mucosa of patients with family histories of gastric cancer and Helicobacter pylori infection显示文摘AIM: To answer the question whether FHIT gene expression is affected by the family history of gastric carcinoma and the presence of Helicobacter pylori (Hpylori) in the gastric mucosa of patients with dyspepsia.METHODS: FHIT gene expression in two different topographic sites of the gastric mucosa of twenty-one patients with dyspepsia and with or without familial gastric carcinoma, infected or not infected with H pylori, was evaluated by reverse transcription-PCR (RT-PCR) and IMAGE QUANT methods. A rapid urease test and histopathological examination were used to determine H pylori colonization.RESULTS: In the gastric mucosa of patients with family histories of gastric carcinoma, the amount of FHIT protein mRNA was reduced down to 32%, and for patients with H pylori colonization, to 24% in comparison to controls with dyspepsia and without cancer in the family. FHIT expression was independent of the topography of specimens (corpus vsantrum), and for the control patients it was less sensitive to infection with H pylori. A considerable statistical difference in FHIT levels was observed in the gastric mucosa from the corpus of patients with family histories of gastric carcinoma in respect to H pylori colonization (P = 0.06). Macroscopic evaluation of the gastric mucosa demonstrated that pathologic changes classified according to the Sydney system had no significant influence on FHIT expression within each tested group of patients.CONCLUSION: Loss of FHIT expression was observed in patients with dyspepsia and family histories of gastric carcinoma, especially those infected with H pylori. Such results may constitute an early indication of the development of gastric carcinoma, which is associated with family factors including heredity and H pylori infection. 4Natural Organic Amendments for Improved Phytoremediation of Polluted Soils:A Review of Recent Progress显示文摘Environmental pollution caused by metals, radionuclides and organic pollutants affects quality of the biosphere: soil, water and air.Currently, great efforts have been made to reduce, remove or stabilize contaminants in polluted sites. There has been increasing interest in phytoremediation—the use of plants to reduce concentration of pollutants or to render them harmless. This paper provides a brief review of recent progress in the research and practical application of phytoremediation techniques. Improvements in phytoremediation due to utilization of organic amendments, namely, agro- and industrial wastes(such as sugar beet residue, composted sewage sludge or molasses), biochar, humic substances, plant extracts and exudates are discussed, as well as their influences on soil structure and characteristics, plants growth and bioavailability of pollutants. Both plant-assisted phytoremediation and the use of natural materials in the absence of remediating plant are believed to be cost-effective and environmentally friendly approaches for soil cleanup. 5Serum adipokines in inflammatory bowel disease显示文摘AIM:To investigate serum adipokine levels in inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)patients before treatment and after achieving clinical remission.METHODS:Serum concentrations of six adipokines(tissue growth factor-β1,adiponectin,leptin,chemerin,resistin,and visfatin)were studied in 40 subjects with active IBD[24 subjects with Crohn’s disease(CD)and in 16 subjects with ulcerative colitis(UC)]before and after three months of therapy with corticosteroids and/or azathioprine.Clinical diagnoses were based on ileocolonoscopy,computed tomography or magnetic resonance enterography and histological examination of mucosal biopsies sampled during endoscopy.Serum levels of adipokines were assessed by an indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.The control group was comprised of 16 age-and sex-matched healthyvolunteers.RESULTS:Baseline leptin concentrations were significantly decreased in both types of IBD compared to controls(8.0±9.1 in CD and 8.6±6.3 in UC vs 16.5±10.1 ng/mL in controls;P<0.05),and significantly increased after treatment only in subjects with CD(14.9±15.1 ng/mL;P<0.05).Baseline serum resistin concentrations were significantly higher in CD(19.3±12.5ng/mL;P<0.05)and UC subjects(23.2±11.0 ng/mL;P<0.05)than in healthy controls(10.7±1.1 ng/mL).Treatment induced a decrease in the serum resistin concentration only in UC subjects(14.5±4.0 ng/mL;P<0.05).Baseline serum concentrations of visfatin were significantly higher in subjects with CD(23.2±3.2ng/mL;P<0.05)and UC(18.8±5.3 ng/mL;P<0.05)than in healthy controls(14.1±5.3 ng/mL).Treatment induced a decrease in the serum visfatin concentrations only in CD subjects(20.4±4.8 ng/mL;P<0.05).Serum levels of adiponectin,chemerin and tissue growth factor-β1 did not differ between CD and UC subjects compared to healthy controls and also were not altered by anti-inflammatory therapy.Clinical indices of IBD activity did not correlate with adipokine levels.CONCLUSION:IBD modulates serum adipokine levels by increasing resistin and visfatin release and suppressing leptin production.Marek Waluga Marek Hartleb Grzegorz Boryczka Micha Kukla Krystyna Zwirska-Korczala 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,22:11
6Gastric ghrelin in relation to gender,stomach topography and Helicobacter pylori in dyspeptic patients显示文摘AIM:To investigate the level of gastric ghrelin in stomach mucosa of dyspeptic patients in relation to Helicobacter pylori(H pylori)infection,bacterial cytotoxicity,topography and gender. METHODS:The study comprised 40 premenopausal women(19 H pylori positive)and 48 men(17 H pylori positive)with functional dyspepsia.All gastric biopsy specimens revealed normal mucosa or non-atrophic gastritis.Gastric ghrelin concentration was determined by Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay.The cagA and vacA strains of bacterial DNA were identified by multiplex polymerase chain reaction. RESULTS:In general,infection with H pylori causedan increase in gastric ghrelin level regardless of gender and stomach topography.Significantly more hormone was present in both,noninfected and H pylori positive female samples,as compared to males.The distribution of bacterial strains showed cagA(+)vacA s1m1 and cagA(-)vacA s2m2 genotypes as the most common infections in the studied population.A tendency to higher ghrelin levels was observed in less cytotoxic (cagA negative)strain-containing specimens from the antrum and corpus of both gender groups(without statistical significance). 10Radioprotective thermally generated free-radical dextrins显示文摘Effect of doses of the X-ray radiation from 0 to 400 Gy upon granular cornstarch and dextrins (British gums, BG) thermally generated from it at 230-300℃ was recognized with quantitative EPR and IR ab-sorption spectroscopy, molecular mass distribution in the depolymerization products, Scanning Elec-tron Microscopy, and X-ray diffractometry. Fractal analysis of the profiles of molecular mass distribu-tion showed that the depolymerization involved debranching of amylopectin. Roasting of cornstarch produced BG which differed in concentration and EPR parameters of stable free radicals from BG generated by X-ray radiation. Two types of stable free radicals, with Gaussian and Lorentzian shapes of EPR signals, were recognized. The shapes of the signals and temperature dependence on free radical intensity indicated exchanging interactions of the antiferromagnetic type, causing partial quenching of the spins at-196℃ (77K). Upon X-ray irradiation, new radicals were generated, the number and stability of which strongly depended on the types of radicals present before irradiation. 11Propolis modulates vitronectin,laminin,and heparan sulfate/heparin expression during experimental burn healing显示文摘Objective:This study was aimed at assessing the dynamics of vitronectin (VN), laminin (LN), and heparan sulfate/heparin (HS/HP) content changes during experimental burn healing. Methods:VN, LN, and HS/HP were isolated and purified from normal and injured skin of domestic pigs, on the 3rd, 5th, 10th, 15th, and 21st days following thermal damage. The wounds were treated with apitherapeutic agent (propolis), silver sulfadiazine (SSD), physiological salt solution, and propolis vehicle. VN and LN were quantified using an immunoenzymatic assay and HS/HP was estimated by densitometric analysis. Results:Propolis treatment stimulated significant increases in VN, LN, and HS/HP contents during the initial phase of study, followed by a reduction in the estimated extracellular matrix molecules. Similar patterns, although less extreme, were observed after treatment with SSD. 12Usefulness of LED lightings in cereal breeding on example of wheat,barley and oat seedlings显示文摘The LED lightings in horticulture are becoming prevalent,due to their physical properties allowing reduction of electricity consumption and on modulation of light spectrum and frequency.At present,LED lightings are not widely used by cereal breeding companies despite the fact that use of greenhouses is very common.This is why,the present experiment was run to show the evidence of LED lightings usefulness in a cereal crops breeding processes.Spring wheat(Triticum aestivum,L.),spring barley(Hordeum vulgare,L.)and oat(Avena sativa,L.),one cultivar of each species,were used for the 9 week trial conducted in a greenhouse with strictly controlled temperature(22℃)and humidity(80%).As a light source,4 LED illuminators along with a high-pressure sodium and xenon lamps and a natural sunlight in non-shadowed area of the same greenhouse were used.LED illuminators were characterized by relatively high ratio of blue/red radiation(0.6-1.3)to force the stem shortening,since cereal seedlings with such a growth habit are preferred in greenhouse cultivation of cereals.It was evidenced,that LED illuminators provided light suitable for cereals growth in a greenhouse,however each species had slightly different optimal light requirements.For wheat and barley the best impact on stem shortening and also on time to heading had a LED illuminator with high multi wave-blue radiation whereas on the leaves width the illuminator with lowest blue/red ratio.For oat seedlings a light source with highest light intensity and highest blue/red ratio seemed to be the most proper.Not much differences in seedlings growth and time to heading suggested that there is a chance for construction of one universal type of LED illuminator designed for greenhouse stages of cereal crops breeding.Piotr Stefański Patrycja Siedlarz Przemysław Matysik Krystyna Rybka 2019International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,6:2
