| 1 | Improvement of Seafloor Positioning Through Correction of Sound Speed Profile Temporal Variation显示文摘Dear Editor,This letter proposes a high-precision seafloor transponder positioning method based on the correction of sound speed profile(SSP)temporal variation. In the proposed method, the ocean sound speed error is modeled as the temporal variation of a background SSP,and the linearized expression of the acoustic travel time with respect to the sound speed coefficient is derived based on the ray acoustic model. Moreover, the proposed method introduces the constraint of acoustic ranging observations between seafloor transponders and determines the weights of travel time and ranging observations using Akaike’s Bayesian information criterion(ABIC)to reduce the positioning error caused by the correlation between sound speed and position parameters. The experimental results in the South China Sea show that the proposed method performs better than the global navigation satellite system-acoustic ranging combined positioning solver(GARPOS)[1],in terms of rigid distance errors and long baseline positioning accuracy. | Miao Yu Kuijie Cai Cuie Zheng Dajun Sun | 2023 | IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2023,10,4: | 3 |
| 2 | A Convenient and Biosafe Replicon with Accessory Genes of SARS-CoV-2 and Its Potential Application in Antiviral Drug Discovery显示文摘SARS-CoV-2 causes the pandemic of COVID-19 and no effective drugs for this disease are available thus far.Due to the high infectivity and pathogenicity of this virus, all studies on the live virus are strictly confined in the biosafety level 3(BSL3)laboratory but this would hinder the basic research and antiviral drug development of SARS-CoV-2 because the BSL3 facility is not commonly available and the work in the containment is costly and laborious. In this study,we constructed a reverse genetics system of SARS-CoV-2 by assembling the viral cDNA in a bacterial artificial chromosome(BAC)vector with deletion of the spike(S)gene.Transfection of the cDNA into cells results in the production of an RNA replicon that keeps the capability of genome or subgenome replication but is deficient in virion assembly and infection due to the absence of S protein. Therefore, such a replicon system is not infectious and can be used in ordinary biological laboratories. We confirmed the efficient replication of the replicon by demonstrating the expression of the subgenomic RNAs which have similar profiles to the wild-type virus.By mutational analysis of nsp12 and nsp14,we showed that the RNA polymerase, exonuclease, and cap N7 methyltransferase play essential roles in genome replication and sgRNA production. We also created a SARS-CoV-2 replicon carrying a luciferase reporter gene and this system was validated by the inhibition assays with known anti-SARS-CoV-2 inhibitors. Thus, such a one-plasmid system is biosafe and convenient to use, which will benefit both fundamental research and development of antiviral drugs. | Yun-Yun Jin Hanwen Lin Liu Cao Wei-Chen Wu Yanxi Ji Liubing Du Yiling Jiang Yanchun Xie Kuijie Tong Fan Xing Fuxiang Zheng Mang Shi Ji-An Pan Xiaoxue Peng Deyin Guo | 2021 | Virologica Sinica2021,36,5: | 2 |

| 5 | Expert consensus on odontogenic maxillary sinusitis multi-disciplinary treatment显示文摘Odontogenic maxillary sinusitis (OMS) is a subtype of maxillary sinusitis (MS). It is actually inflammation of the maxillary sinus that secondary to adjacent infectious maxillary dental lesion. Due to the lack of unique clinical features, OMS is difficult to distinguish from other types of rhinosinusitis. Besides, the characteristic infectious pathogeny of OMS makes it is resistant to conventional therapies of rhinosinusitis. Its current diagnosis and treatment are thus facing great difficulties. The multi-disciplinary cooperation between otolaryngologists and dentists is absolutely urgent to settle these questions and to acquire standardized diagnostic and treatment regimen for OMS. However, this disease has actually received little attention and has been underrepresented by relatively low publication volume and quality. Based on systematically reviewed literature and practical experiences of expert members, our consensus focuses on characteristics, symptoms, classification and diagnosis of OMS, and further put forward multidisciplinary treatment decisions for OMS, as well as the common treatment complications and relative managements. This consensus aims to increase attention to OMS, and optimize the clinical diagnosis and decision-making of OMS, which finally provides evidence-based options for OMS clinical management. | Jiang Lin Chengshuo Wang Xiangdong Wang Faming Chen Wei Zhang Hongchen Sun Fuhua Yan Yaping Pan Dongdong Zhu Qintai Yang Shaohua Ge Yao Sun Kuiji Wang Yuan Zhang Mu Xian Ming Zheng Anchun Mo Xin Xu Hanguo Wang Xuedong Zhou Luo Zhang | 2024 | International Journal of Oral Science2024,16,1: | 0 |
| 6 | Experimental Study on the Effect of State of Charge on Failure Propagation Characteristics within Battery Modules显示文摘To investigate the effect of different states of charge(SOC)on the thermal runaway(TR)propagation behaviors within lithium-ion-batteries based energy storage modules,an experimental setup was developed to conduct failure propagation tests on battery modules at an SOC of 97%,85%,and 50%.The result indicates that an increase in the SOC of batteries can decrease the TR trigger temperature, making batteries trigger TR earlier and reducing the average failure propagation time between two adjacent cells. In addition, the failure propagation tests reveal that at higher SOCs,the TR reaction becomes more violent, the maximal reaction temperature is also much higher, and the damage to the battery module is severe.Compared to the battery module with 97%SOC,the TR trigger time of the battery module with 50%SOC was postponed by approximately 57.8%.Meanwhile,the average failure propagation time got prolonged by approximately 36.0%.Thus,this study can provide references for the thermal safety design of energy-storage battery modules. | Kuijie Li Yalun Li Xinyu Rui Yuancheng Cao Liyun Fan Xuning Feng | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering2023,9,3: | 0 |
