| 1 | Effect of caffeic acid phenethyl ester on proliferation and apoptosis of hepatic stellate cells in vitro显示文摘AIM: To investigate the role of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB)inhibitor caffeic acid phenethy1 ester (CAPE) in the proliferation, collagen synthesis and apoptosis of hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) of rats.
METHODS: The HSCs from rats were isolated and cultured in Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium (DMEM) and treated with CAPE. The proliferation and collagen synthesis of HSCs were determined by 3H-TdR and 3H-proline incorporation respectively, and the expression of type Ⅰ, Ⅲ procollagen genes was further explored byin situ hybridization. Apoptosis cell indices (AIs) were examined using terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase- mediated DIG-dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL).
RESULTS: Tn activated HSC in culture, CAPE significantly inhibited 3H-TdR and 3H-proline incorporation by HSCs at concentrations of 5 μmol/L and 10 μmol/L respectively. CAPE also reduced the type I procollagen gene expression (P<0.05)at higher concentration. Apoptosis of HSC was induced by CAPE and the AIs were time-and dose-dependently increased from 2.82+0.73 % to 7.66±1.25 % at 12 h (P<0.01) and from 3.15±0.88 % to 10.6L±2.88 % at 24 h (P<0.01).
CONCLUSION: CAPE inhibits proliferation and collagen synthesis of HSC at lower concentration and induces HSC apoptosis at higher concentration. | Wen-Xing Zhao Jing Zhao Chong-Li Liang Bing Zhao Rong-Qing Pang Xing-Hua Pan Medical Laboratory of Kunming General Hospital,Chengdu Command,Kunming 650032,Yunnan Province,China | 2003 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2003,9,6: | 12 |
| 2 | Levels, trends and risk assessment of arsenic pollution in Yangzonghai Lake,Yunnan Province,China显示文摘The arsenic contamination accident in Yangzonghai Lake,Yunnan has been of wide concern. In order to investigate the arsenic distribution and concentration trends after the accident, samples including lake water, sediments, soil, aquatic organisms and crops were collected in November 2008,as well as in February,May and September 2009.The average arsenic concentrations (arithmetic average) in lake water in the four sampling events were 176.9,147.3,159.3,and 161.1 μg/L,while those in the sediments were 32.87,62.41,62.99,and 46.96 μg/g,respectively.The highest content of total arsenic in soil in the vicinity of Yangzonghai was 23.33 μg/g,which was below the limits of the relevant national standard. The total arsenic levels in most aquatic plants were in the range of 100-200 μg/g,with Vallisneria natans (Lour.) Hara having the highest concentration of ~300 μg/g.The arsenic levels of fish and shrimps were in the range of 1.52-11.4 μg/g (dry weight). | WANG ZhenHua1,HE Bin1,PAN XueJun2,ZHANG KeGang1,WANG Chang1,SUN Jing1,YUN ZhaoJun1 & JIANG GuiBin11State Key Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry and Ecotoxicology Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Beijing 100085,China 2School of Environmental Science and Engineering,Kunming University of Science and Technology,Kunming 650093,China | 2010 | Science China Chemistry2010,53,8: | 9 |
| 3 | Preparation of TiC/Ni_3Al Composites by Upward Melt Infiltration显示文摘TiC/Ni3Al composites have been prepared using upward infiltration method. The densification was performed by both Ni3Al melt filling and TiC sintering during the infiltration. The dissolution of TiC in liquid Ni3Al has been evidenced by finding Ni3(Al,Ti)C after fast cooling in the TiC/Ni3Al composites. The dissolution may be responsible for the infiltration and sintering. Compared with downward infiltration, the upward infiltration brought about higher strength and fracture toughness and shorter infiltration time. TiC/20 vol. pct Ni3Al composite processed by upward infiltration had a flexural strength of 1476 MPa with a statistic Weibull modulus of 20.2 and a fracture toughness of 20.4 MPa . Better mechanical properties may be attributed to melt unidirectional movement in upward infiltration. | Yi PAN (Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou 310027, China) Kewei SUN (National Engineering Research Center of Solid Waste Resources Recovery, Kunming University of Science and Technology,Kunming 650093, China) | 2000 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2000,16,4: | 6 |
| 4 | Oxidation behavior of Mo-Si-B alloys at medium-to-high temperatures显示文摘Continuous exploration of high-temperature structural materials is being driven by the needs of gasturbine engines capable of withstanding the high-temperature environment.Relatively low melting points of currently applied superalloys restrain the further improvement of service tempe ratures. With higher melting tempe ratures above 2000℃,Mo-Si-B alloys are regarded as a new generation of ultrahightemperature structural materials. However, oxidation is a concern for the industrial application of Mo-Si-B alloys. Therefore,an in-depth understanding of the oxidation mechanisms may contribute to solving this issue, whereas relevant reviews about their recent advances are lacking. In the current work,a comprehensively systematic review about the oxidation behaviors of Mo-Si-B alloys is described for this purpose. | Kunming Pan Yanping Yang Shizhong Wei Honghui Wu Zhili Dong Yuan Wu Shuize Wang Laiqi Zhang Junping Lin Xinping Mao | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,1: | 5 |
| 5 | Static Corrosion Rates of Fused-cast AZS Refractory Materials by Molten Glass显示文摘In order to investigate corrosive phenomena of fused-cast Al_2O_3-ZrO_2-SiO_2(AZS) refractory materials by molten glass, two types of fused-cast AZS refractory bricks were taken as the interests of the research to study static corrosion rates(mm/d) of the two type materials by molten soda-lime-silica glass at different temperatures(1400,1450 and 1500 *C) and for different isothermal periods(0.5,1.0 and 1.5 d).It was shown that static corrosion rate of each AZS material by molten glass at the triple point developed with raising temperature but slightly decreased with enhancing isothermal period.Based on chemical compositions, microstructures, and corrosive morphologies of AZS refractory materials, the relation between them and static corrosion rates of AZS refractory materials by molten glass was analyzed. | LI Kunming SHI Xinyong XUE Fei XIE Jinli LIN Guowei PAN Chuancai LIU Yueqiang ZHANG Hang | 2016 | Journal of the Chinese Ceramic Society2016,,4: | 2 |
| 6 | Recent advances of vanadium-based cathode materials for zinc-ion batteries显示文摘Zn-ion batteries(ZIBs) have gained great attention as promising next-generation power sources, because of their low cost, enviable safety and high theoretical capacity. Recently, massive researches have been devoted to vanadium-based materials as cathodes in ZIBs, owing to their multiple valence states, competitive gravimetric energy density, but the capacity degradation, sluggish kinetics, low operating voltage hinder further optimization of their performance in ZIBs. This review summarizes recent progress to increase the interlayer spacing, structural stability, and the diffusion ability of the guest Zn ions, including the insertion of different ions, introduction of defects, design of diverse morphologies, the combination of other materials. We also focus on approaches to promoting the valuable performance of vanadiumbased cathodes, along with the related ongoing scientific challenges and limitations. Finally, the future perspectives and research directions of vanadium-based aqueous ZIBs are provided. | Xuerong Li Haoyan Cheng Hao Hu Kunming Pan Tongtong Yuan Wanting Xia | 2021 | Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,12: | 2 |

| 8 | Heat treatment-induced Co^(3+) enrichment in CoFePBA to enhance OER electrocatalytic performance显示文摘Increasing active metal sites is a valid approach to improve the catalytic activity of the catalyst. Co^(3+) is the main active metal site of Co-based catalysts. In this research work, through the partial transformation of CoFePBA (CFP) via low-temperature heat treatment, the effective control of the Co^(3+)/Co^(2+) ratio has been achieved. The partial transformation strategy of low-temperature heat treatment can not only maintain the original framework structure of CFP, but also increase more active sites. The characterization results show that the CFP-200 sample obtained via heat treatment at 200 ℃ for 2 h under N2 atmosphere has the highest Co^(3+)/Co^(2+) ratio. As an oxygen evolution reaction electrocatalyst, CFP-200 shows the best electrocatalytic activity among all samples. In 1.0 mol/L KOH electrolyte, the overpotential is 312 mV at a current density of 10 mA/cm2. Therefore, low-temperature heat treatment provides an effective method for preparing low-cost and high-efficiency electrocatalysts. | Wenhui Hu Mingbo Zheng Huiyu Duan Wei Zhu Ying Wei Yi Zhang Kunming Pan Huan Pang | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,3: | 1 |
| 9 | Screening and docking studies of natural phenolic inhibitors of carbonic anhydrase Ⅱ显示文摘Carbonic anhydrase Ⅱ (CAⅡ) is an important enzyme complex with Zn2+,which is involved in many physiological and pathological processes, such as calcification, glaucoma and tumorigenicity. In order to search for novel inhibitors of CAⅡ, inhibition assay of carbonic anhydrase Ⅱ was performed, by which seven natural phenolic compounds, including four phenolics (grifolin, 4-O-methyl-grifolic acid, grifolic acid, and isovanillic acid) and three flavones (eriodictyol, quercetin and puerin A), showed in-hibitory activities against CAⅡ with IC50s in the range of 6.37-71.73 μmol/L. Grifolic acid is the most active one with IC50 of 6.37 μmol/L. These seven phenolic compounds were proved to be novel natural carbonic anhydrase Ⅱ inhibitors, which were obtained in flexible docking study with GOLD 3.0 soft-ware. Results indicated that the aliphatic chain and polar groups of hydroxyl and carboxyl are impor-tant to their inhibitory activities, providing a new insight into study on CA Ⅱ potent inhibitors. | HUANG HuoQiang1, 2, PAN XuLin1, JI ChangJiu1, 2, ZENG GuangZhi1, JIANG LiHua1, FU Xiang1, LIU JiKai1, HAO XiaoJiang1, ZHANG YingJun1 & TAN NingHua1 1 State Key Laboratory of Phytochemistry and Plant Resources in West China, Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Kunming 650204, China 2 Graduate University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100049, China | 2009 | Science China Chemistry2009,52,3: | 0 |
| 10 | Explore the Strengthening Mechanisms of the Ultra-Low Carbon and Low Alloy Steel显示文摘Room temperature tensile tests were carried on the hot-rolled state ultra-low carbon and low alloy cabainite and martensite steels which were get by different finishing temperatures and different cooling methods. We used the Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM),Electron Backscattered Diffraction (EBSD) and X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD) to identify the metallographic structure and analyse the precipitated phase. The inherent mechanism of high strength of ultra-low carbon and low alloy bainite and martensite steels was discussed, and the analysis indicated that the reinforcement of ultra-low carbon and low alloy bainite and martensite steels was mainly produced by the superposition of the dislocation strengthening, solution strengthening and grain refinement strengthening. | LIU Pan 1,2,LI Hong-mei 1,2,LIU Rong-pei 1,BAO Yao-zong 2 (1.Kunming University of Science and Technology Kunming,Yunnan 650093,China 2.Central Iron and Steel Research Institute,Beijing 100081,China) | 2011 | Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2011,18,S1: | 0 |

| 12 | Genome transfer for the prevention of female infertility caused by maternal gene mutation显示文摘Poor oocyte quality is associated with early embryo developmental arrest and infertility.Maternal gene plays crucial roles in the regulation of oocyte maturation, and its mutation is a common cause of female infertility. However, how to improve oocyte quality and develop effective therapy for maternal gene mutation remains elusive. Here,we use Zar1 as an example to assess the feasibility of genome transfer to cure maternal gene mutationecaused female infertility. We first discover that cytoplasmic deficiency primarily leads to Zar1-null embryo developmental arrest by disturbing maternal transcript degradation and minor zygotic genome activation(ZGA)during the maternal-zygotic transition. We next perform genome transfer at the oocyte(spindle transfer or polar body transfer)and zygote(early pronuclear transfer or late pronuclear transfer)stages to validate the feasibility of preventing Zar1 mutationecaused infertility. We finally demonstrate that genome transfer either at the oocyte or at the early pronuclear stage can support normal preimplantation embryo development and produce live offspring. Moreover, those pups grow to adulthood and show normal fertility. Therefore, our findings provide an effective basis of therapies for the treatment of female infertility caused by maternal gene mutation. | Dandan Bai Jin Sun Yanping Jia Jiqing Yin Yalin Zhang Yanhe Li Rui Gao Xiling Du Kunming Li Jiaming Lin Zhifen Tu Yu Wang Jiaping Pan Shanshan Liang Yi Guo Jingling Ruan Xiaochen Kou Yanhong Zhao Hong Wang Cizhong Jiang Fengchao Wang Xiaoming Teng Wenqiang Liu Shaorong Gao | 2020 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2020,47,6: | 0 |
| 13 | Machine Learning-Assisted Low-Dimensional Electrocatalysts Design for Hydrogen Evolution Reaction显示文摘Efficient electrocatalysts are crucial for hydrogen generation from electrolyzing water.Nevertheless, the conventional'trial and error'method for producing advanced electrocatalysts is not only cost-ineffective but also time-consuming and labor-intensive.Fortunately,the advancement of machine learning brings new opportunities for electrocatalysts discovery and design.By analyzing experimental and theoretical data, machine learning can effectively predict their hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)performance. This review summarizes recent developments in machine learning for low-dimensional electrocatalysts, including zero-dimension nanoparticles and nanoclusters,one-dimensional nanotubes and nanowires,two-dimensional nanosheets,as well as other electrocatalysts. In particular, the effects of descriptors and algorithms on screening low-dimensional electrocatalysts and investigating their HER performance are highlighted. Finally, the future directions and perspectives for machine learning in electrocatalysis are discussed, emphasizing the potential for machine learning to accelerate electrocatalyst discovery, optimize their performance, and provide new insights into electrocatalytic mechanisms.Overall, this work offers an in-depth understanding of the current state of machine learning in electrocatalysis and its potential for future research. | Jin Li Naiteng Wu Jian Zhang Hong‑Hui Wu Kunming Pan Yingxue Wang Guilong Liu Xianming Liu Zhenpeng Yao Qiaobao Zhang | 2023 | Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,12: | 0 |
| 14 | OPTIMAL AND ROBUST DETECTION OF MULTIVARIATE OUTLIERS FOR ELLIPTICALLY CONTOURED DISTRIBUTION显示文摘The outlier problem for a multivariate elliptically contoured distribu-tion’s random sample with mean slippage is defined and the likelihood ratio test ofthe null hypothesis,in which there are no outliers, versus the alternative hypothesis,in which some outliers are present,is derived. We show that the testing problemis invariant under a group of affine transformations and obtain the maximal in-variance which is equivalent to the likelihood ratio testing statistic.Furthermore, the non-null and null density distribution functions of the likelihood ratio testingstatistic are derived. We find that the null density distribution function of thetesting statistic is robust and the density distribution function is a monotonicallikelihood ratio function of the maximal invariance. Therefore, the likelihood ratiotest is a uniformly most powerful invariant test among the group of affine transfor-mations.In the last section,we give an example of detecting multivariate outliersin elliptically contoured distribution. | WANG Xueren PAN Jianxin (Institute of Applied Statistics,Yunnan University,Kunming 650091,China) | 1992 | Systems Science and Mathematical Sciences1992,5,2: | 0 |
