1Diagnostic and prognostic value of minor elevated cardiac troponin levels for percutaneous coronary intervention-related myocardial injury:a prospective,single-center and double-blind study显示文摘Cardiac troponin-I(cTnI) and-T(cTnT) are sensitive and specific markers of myocardial injury.However,the role of increased cTnI and cTnT in percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)-related myocardial injury remains controversial.In this prospective,single-center and double-blind study,we aimed to determine the diagnostic and prognostic value of cTnI as well as cTnT(cTns) in PCI-related myocardial injury in a Chinese population.A total of 1,008 patients with stable angina pectoris and non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndrome were recruited.The levels of cTnI and cTnT were examined before and after PCI.All patients were followed up for26±9 months to observe the incidence of major adverse cardiac events(MACEs).Our results showed that postPCI cTnI and/or cTnT levels were increased to more than the 99^(th) percentile upper reference limit(URL) in 133(13.2%) patients,among which 22(2.2%) were more than 5×99^(th) percentile URL.By univariate analysis,an elevation in cTns after PCI was not an independent predictor of increased MACEs,HR 1.35(P = 0.33,95%CI:0.74-2.46).In conclusion,our data demonstrate that the incidence of PCI-related myocardial injury is not common in a Chinese population and minor elevated cTns levels may not be a sensitive prognostic marker for MACEs.Min Zhang Huiwei He Ze-Mu Wang Zhihui Xu Ningtian Zhou Zhengxian Tao Bo Chen Chunjian Li Tiebing Zhu Di Yang Liansheng Wang Zhijian Yang 2014The Journal of Biomedical Research2014,28,2:12

6Effect of the hyaluronic acid-poloxamer hydrogel on skin-wound healing: in vitro and in vivo studies显示文摘Background: Recent research into skin injury and wound healing has focused mainly on post‐trauma hemostasis, infection prevention, dermal regeneration and angiogenesis. However, less attention has been paid to air permeability and moisture loss prevention which also play important roles in injury healing. Methods: In the present work, we prepared a hyaluronic acid‐poloxamer (HA‐POL) hydrogel and tested the therapeutic effect of the hydrogel on skin‐wound healing. Results: The HA‐POL hydrogel transformed from sol to gel at 30°C, close to body temperature, and had stable moisturizing properties. HA‐POL hydrogel promoted skin‐wound healing and increased protein accumulation in the wound area. HA‐POL hydrogel allowed greater air permeability than Band‐aid, a typical wound covering. Results from transwell assays showed that the HA‐POL hydrogel effectively isolated skin‐wounds from bacterial invasion. 7Quantitative examination of the inhibitory activation of molecular targeting agents in hepatocellular carcinoma patient-derived cell invasion via a novel in vivo tumor model显示文摘Background: The outcomes for patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) receiving sorafenib are far from satisfactory because of treatment resistance to sorafenib. However, the exact mechanism of resistance to sorafenib remains unclear and it is valuable to establish a novel mouse model to quantitatively analyze the inhibition rates of sorafenib on the invasive growth of HCC cells in the liver.Methods: HCC tissue microblocks derived from patients were cultured and mixed with hydrogel drops. Then, hydrogel drops containing microblocks of HCC tissue were attached onto the surface of the livers of nude mice to form lesions or nodules of HCC. The mice received molecular targeting agents through oral administration. Livers with tumor nodules were harvested for H&E staining(hematoxylin-eosin staining) analysis and H&E staining images were quantitatively analyzed using image J software. The invasive growth of HCC cells into the liver was calculated using the depth of the lesions compared with the total thickness of the liver.Results: Microblocks containing cells derived from HCC patients can form lesions in the liver of nude mice. 8Oxalic acid functionalization of BaTiO_(3) nanobelts for promoting their piezo-degradation organic contaminants显示文摘Surface functionalization of piezoelectric greatly determines its piezo-catalytic activity and selectivity in that functional group affect specific reactants’surface adsorption and activation abilities.Herein,we propose chemical functionalization on the surface of nano-scaled BaTiO_(3) piezoelectric via a one-pot hydrothermal process using polyethylene glycol as surfactant,and evaluate its piezo-catalytic activity and selectivity by degrading model antibiotic and dye reactants under ultrasonic vibrations.Acetate or/and oxalic unidentate ligands on the surface of BaTiO_(3) nanobelts can be formed by controlling precursor and hydrothermal parameters.Particularly,oxalic acid functionalized BaTiO_(3) nanobelts presented a high piezo-catalytic rate constant of 0.068 min^(-1) for Rhodamine B solution and maintained>87%degradation efficiency within 30 min under the condition of ultrasonic bath with 40 kHz and 100 W,which was mainly ascribed to piezo-sensitization effect.This work provides references for the preparation of chemical functionalized catalysts and also contributes to the development of novel catalysts for special applications.Shitao Gao Hongjie Xing Jingji Zhang Yapi Liu Huiwei Du Zejie Zhu Jiangying Wang Xu Li Suwei Zhang Yaxuan Yao Lingling Ren 2021Journal of Materiomics2021,7,6:1
9Network pharmacology and molecular docking study on the effect of Kaempferol in treatment of metabolic associated fatty liver disease显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To study therapeutic effect of kaempferol on metabolic associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD) by network pharmacology and molecular docking combined with cell experiments. METHODS: First, use the Swiss Target Prediction database to predict the targets of kaempferol, and collect the targets of MAFLD through the Disgenet database and the Gene Cards database. Then, the common target of kaempferol and MAFLD was enriched and analyzed by the Gene Ontology(GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes, and the protein-protein interaction(PPI) network was constructed through the string database to obtain the key targets, and carry out molecular docking of key targets with kaempferol;In cell experiment, oleic acid induced steatosis in Hep G2 cells, which was intervened by kaempferol, the level of triglyceride(TG) was detected, the lipid deposition was observed by oil red O staining, and the protein expression was detected by Western blot. RESULTS: The results showed that there are 33 common targets for kaempferol and MAFLD. The biological process of GO is related to the regulation of protein kinase B, cell apoptosis, inflammatory factors, lipoxygenase, etc. Its action pathway is related to the phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase and protein kinase B(PI3K-AKT) signaling pathway, hypoxia-inducible factor 1 signaling pathway, forkhead box protein O signaling pathway, AMP-activated protein kinase signaling pathway, tumor necrosis factor signaling pathway, etc., the key targets are protein kinase B(AKT1), prostaglandin G/H synthase 2, matrix metalloproteinase-9, epidermal growth factor receptor, and the molecular docking of kaempferol with the four key targets shows good binding properties. Cell experiments show that kaempferol can reduce cell TG levels, reduce lipid deposition, increase the expression of PI3K, AKT, and beclin-1, and reduce the expression of caspase-3 and nuclear factor-kappa B. Kaempferol can treat MAFLD by regulating the PI3K-AKT signaling pathway to regulate cell autophagy, apoptosis, and inflammation. CONCLUSIONS: This study shows that kaempferol can regulate lipid metabolism, reduce apoptosis, regulate inflammation and autophagy in the fatty liver cell model.
