2Preparation and surface modification of 3D printed Ti-6Al-4V porous implant显示文摘Three-dimensional(3D)printed titanium alloy implants hold enormous potential in orthopedic applications to avoid stress shielding.However,titanium alloy is bioinert,limiting its application and making surface modification a necessity.In this paper,porous implants were treated by acid etching and anodizing to improve the bioactivity,which was evaluated by simulated body fluid(SBF)immersion test.The results showed that,after surface modification,micro-nanocomposite structures were obtained on the titanium surface,and after immersing in SBF for 2 weeks,the implants showed a drastically enhanced apatite forming ability,confirming improved bioactivity.However,the surface structures were different at different positions and it is believed that this phenomenon is closely related to the different current densities of the surfaces during anodic oxidation.Our research evaluates the effect of anodic oxidation at different voltages on the surface modification and provides a reference for improving the bioactivity of the medical porous implant surface prepared by 3 D printing.Chun-Yong Liang Xiao-Jing Jiang Rui-Long Ji Bao-E Li Xian-Rui Zou Hong-Shui Wang Jing-Zu Hao Tai Yang 2021Rare Metals2021,40,5:5

6Proximate causes of dispersal for female Yunnan snub-nosed monkeys显示文摘DEAR EDITOR,Individual dispersal trends, unquestionably important for species ecology and evolution, are affected by multiple factors. Understanding the factors that influence female dispersal strategies offers important insight into primate dispersal mechanisms and female choice. To investigate the proximate causes of dispersal in female Yunnan snub-nosed monkeys (Rhinopithecus bieti), we observed and analyzed nine years of detailed dispersal and demographic data from a population of R. bieti in Xiangguqing, Baimaxueshan Nature Reserve, Yunnan Province, China. Results showed that females who lived long-term in a one-male unit (OMU), without giving birth and with few or no relatives, were more likely to leave that OMU. In addition, an OMU led by an outgroup male and containing more female relatives was significantly more likely to be chosen for immigration. Conversely, greater male age, longer male tenure, and more potentially fertile females discouraged immigration into an OMU. 16Aberrantly Methylated MGMT,hMLH1 and hMSH2 in Tumor and Serum DNA of Gliomas Patients显示文摘OBJECTIVE This study is to investigate the prevalence ofpromoter CpG island methylation of O^6-methylguananine-DNAmethyltransferase (MGMT), mismatch repair genes (hMLH1 andhMSH2) in both tumor and serum samples of gliomas.METHODS Methylation-specific PCR (MSP) was employed todetect promoter CpG island methylation of the MGMT, hMLH1and hMSH2 genes in 39 samples taken from surgery and 32samples of pretreatment serum all from the patients with gliomas.RESULTS Promoter CpG island methylation of MGMT, hMLH1and hMSH2 was detected and the results were 46.2%, 10.3% and20.5%, respectively in tumor DNA of the cases with gliomas,and 40.6%, 9.4% and 18.8%, respectively in serum DNA of thecases. The methylation pattern in primary tumor and serum wasfound to be concordant in matched tissue and serum samplesof 21 patients. In the cases with positive result of methylationfor MGMT, hMLH1 and hMSH2 in tumor tissues, the results ofdetection for those in the paired serum sample were 77.8% (7/9),66.7% (2/3) and 75.0 % (3/4), respectively. False positive resultswere not obtained in any of the patients who did not exhibitmethylation. No association was found between the promotermethylation of MGMT, hMLH1, and hMSH2 genes in primarygliomas and gender, age, localization, grade of malignant or tumorstage.CONCLUSION Promoter CpG island methylation is a frequentevent in gliomagenesis. 17Na_(2)CO_(3)-responsive Photosynthetic and ROS Scavenging Mechanisms in Chloroplasts of Alkaligrass Revealed by Phosphoproteomics显示文摘Alkali-salinity exerts severe osmotic,ionic,and high-p H stresses to plants.To understand the alkali-salinity responsive mechanisms underlying photosynthetic modulation and reactive oxygen species(ROS)homeostasis,physiological and diverse quantitative proteomics analyses of alkaligrass(Puccinellia tenuiflora)under Na_(2)CO_(3)stress were conducted.In addition,Western blot,real-time PCR,and transgenic techniques were applied to validate the proteomic results and test the functions of the Na_(2)CO_(3)-responsive proteins.A total of 104 and 102 Na_(2)CO_(3)-responsive proteins were identified in leaves and chloroplasts,respectively.In addition,84 Na_(2)CO_(3)-responsive phosphoproteins were identified,including 56 new phosphorylation sites in 56 phosphoproteins from chloroplasts,which are crucial for the regulation of photosynthesis,ion transport,signal transduction,and energy homeostasis.A full-length Pt FBA encoding an alkaligrass chloroplastic fructosebisphosphate aldolase(FBA)was overexpressed in wild-type cells of cyanobacterium Synechocystis sp.Strain PCC 6803,leading to enhanced Na_(2)CO_(3)tolerance.All these results indicate that thermal dissipation,state transition,cyclic electron transport,photorespiration,repair of photosystem(PS)Ⅱ,PSI activity,and ROS homeostasis were altered in response to Na_(2)CO_(3)stress,which help to improve our understanding of the Na_(2)CO_(3)-responsive mechanisms in halophytes.Jinwei Suo Heng Zhang Qi Zhao Nan Zhang Yongxue Zhang Ying Li Baohua Song Juanjuan Yu Jianguo Cao Tai Wang Ji Luo Lihai Guo Jun Ma Xumin Zhang Yimin She Lianwei Peng Weimin Ma Siyi Guo Yuchen Miao Sixue Chen Zhi Qin Shaojun Dai 2020Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2020,18,3:0
