1Features and Formation Mechanism of Faults and Potash-forming Effect in the Lop Nur Salt Lake,Xinjiang,China显示文摘The Lop Nur Salt Lake, located in the eastern part of the Tarim Basin, Xinjiang, China, has become a playa in the Quaternary. Rhombic in shape, the Lop Nur depression is mainly controlled by the NE-striking and nearly N-S-striking sets of faults. Since 1995, a superlarge brine potash deposit with potash resources of 2.50×108 t has been found in the Luobei subbasin in the northeastern part of the Lop Nur. We intensively studied the features and formation mechanism of faults inside the Lop Nur through satellite images, geomorphologic survey and continuous conductivity imaging and found seven subparallel graben faults formed under the action of nearly N 10o E principal compressional stress during deposition of the Lop Nur Salt Lake. These faults are up to >60 km long and 1–4 km wide and may extend downward for 1000 m or more. It is just under the action of these tensional faults that potash subbasins formed. The largest subbasin is the Luobei subbasin and the smaller ones are the Luoxi hollow, Erbei hollow and Tienan hollow. Investigation also indicates that the graben faults in the Lop Nur not only control the origin of the potash subbasins, but they themselves are also good brine reservoir structures, in which abundant potash-rich brines are stored. 2Refill friction stir spot welding of 5083-O aluminum alloy显示文摘In this work,refill friction stir spot welding(RFSSW) was used to weld 2 mm-thick 5083-O alloy.The Box–Behnken experimental design was used to investigate the effect of welding parameters on the joint lap shear property.Results showed that a surface indentation of 0.3 mm effectively eliminated the welding defects.Microhardness of the stir zone(SZ) was higher than that of the base material(BM) and the hardness decreased with increasing the heat input during welding.The optimum failure load of 7.72 k N was obtained when using rotating speed of 2300 rpm,plunge depth of 2.4 mm and refilling time of 3.5 s.Three fracture modes were obtained during the lap shear test and all were affected by the hook defect.Zhiwu Xu Zhengwei Li Shude Ji Liguo Zhang 2018Journal of Materials Science & Technology2018,34,5:10
3Effect of Reverse-threaded Pin on Mechanical Properties of Friction Stir Lap Welded Alclad 2024 Aluminum Alloy显示文摘In friction stir welding(FSW), tool geometry plays an important role in joint quality. In order to improve mechanical properties of friction stir lap welding(FSLW) joint, a tool with a reverse-threaded pin was designed in the present study. Using 2024-T4 aluminum alloy as the research object, tools with the fullthreaded pin and reverse-threaded pin were used in FSLW. Results showed that, when using the same parameter combination, FSLW joint using the reverse-threaded pin owned bigger effective sheet thickness(EST), bigger lap width and better lap shear failure strength. Compared with the full-threaded pin,fracture mode of the FSLW joint changed from shear fracture mode to tensile fracture mode when the reverse-threaded pin was used. 4A general strategy for the reliable joining of Al/Ti dissimilar alloys via ultrasonic assisted friction stir welding显示文摘Ultrasonic assisted friction stir welding(UaFSW) was used to join 6061-T6 aluminum and Ti6Al4 V alloys.A small plunge depth endowed with the low heat input was used and the sound joints without obvious thickness reduction were achieved. A diffusion-type bonding without the intermetallic compounds layer was observed at the joint interface. The ultrasonic improved the diffusion thickness and decreased the average size of grains and titanium alloy fragments. A hook-like structure was formed at the bottom interface of the UaFSW joint, which improved the bonding length and the mechanical interlocking. The microhardness of the stir zone was increased because of the further grain refinement induced by ultrasonic. 5Changes of visceral properties and digestive enzymes in the herbivorous marine teleost Siganus canaliculatus fed on different diets显示文摘The rabbitfish Siganus canaliculatus is one of the few cultured herbivorous marine teleosts. To better understand the digestive physiology of this fish and provide data for designing formulated feed using macroalgae as an ingredient, the changes of visceral properties and digestive enzyme activities were investigated after the juveniles were fed on different types of food including raw fish(RF), formulated diet(FD) or macroalgae Enteromorpha prolifra(EP) and Gracilaria lemaneiformis(GL) for eight weeks. The results showed that the hepatosomatic and viscerosomatic indices in the RF and FD groups, as well as the relative intestine length(RIL) in the EP and GL groups, were significantly higher than those in other groups. Additionally, differences in the histological structure of the liver and anterior intestine were also observed among different dietary groups. The hepatic nuclei were displaced to the periphery by lipid inclusions in fish fed RF. The highest levels of mucosal folds were found in the anterior intestines of fish fed macroalgae. Digestive enzyme activity profiles showed obvious fluctuations in the first three weeks, and then leveled off in the following weeks. The levels of protease, lipase and α-amylase in the alimentary tract showed changes related to the levels of dietary protein, lipid and carbohydrate, respectively.Although macroalgae significantly inhibited the activity of protease in the stomach, it increased RIL and the number of mucosal folds in the anterior intestine so as to compensate for the influences on protease activities in the stomach. 6A functionalized separator enables dendrite-free Zn anode via metal-polydopamine coordination chemistry显示文摘Designing a multifunctional separator with abundant ion migration paths is crucial for tuning the ion transport in rocking-chair-type batteries.Herein,a polydopamine-functionalized PVDF(PVDF@PDA)nanofibrous membrane is designed to serve as a separator for aqueous zinc-ion batteries(AZIBs).The functional groups(OH and NH)in PDA facilitate the formation of Zn O and Zn N coordination bonds with Zn ions,homogenizing the Zn-ion flux and thus enabling dendrite-free Zn deposition.Moreover,the PVDF@PDA separator effectively inhibits the shuttling of V-species through the formation of V-O coordination bonds.As a result,the Zn/NH_(4)V_(4)O_(10) battery with the PVDF@PDA separator exhibits enhanced cycling stability(92.3%after 1000 cycles at 5 A g^(-1))and rate capability compared to that using a glass fiber separator.This work provides a new avenue to design functionalized separators for high-performance AZIBs.Yanfen Liu Shude Liu Xuesong Xie Zhicheng Li Pinji Wang Bingan Lu Shuquan Liang Yan Tang Jiang Zhou 2023InfoMat2023,5,3:2

8Numerical simulation of effect of rotational tool with screw on material flow behavior of friction stir welding of Ti6Al4V alloy显示文摘The rotational tool is put forward, which is composed of the one-spiral-flute shoul-der and the rotational pin with screw. Using the turbulent model of the FLUENT software, material plastic flow behavior during the process of friction stir welding of Ti6Al4V alloy is researched by the numerical simulation method and then the effect of rotational tool geometry on material flow during the welding process is attained. The results show that the flow direction of the material near the rotational tool is mainly the same as the rotational direction of the tool while the material near tool flows more violently than the other regions. For the tapered rotational pin, the flow velocity of material inside the workpiece decreases with the increase of the distance away from the workpiece surface because of the change of pin diameter. For the rotational tool, the flute added to the shoulder and the screw added to the pin can greatly increase the flow velocity of material during the welding process while the peak value of the flow velocity of material appears on the flute or the screw. Moreover, the rotational tool with the one-spiral-flute shoulder is better than the tool with the concentric-circles-flute shoulder. 11Effects of nitrite on phosphate uptake in anaerobic-oxic process显示文摘An anaerobic-oxic(A/O)biological phosphorus removal reactor was operated to study the effect of nitrite on phosphate uptake.The phosphorus uptake profile was determined under different operating conditions.The results indicated that in addition to oxygen and nitrate(DPB_(Na),nitrate denitrifying phosphorus removal),to some extent,nitrite could also serve as an electron acceptor to achieve nitrite denitrifying phosphorus removal(DPB_(Ni)).The quantity and rate of phosphorus uptake of DPBNi,however,were evidently lower than that of DPBNa.The experiment results revealed that nitrite would bring toxic action to phosphate-accumulating organisms(PAOs)when NO_(2)^(−)-Ni93.7 mg/L.The nitrite existing in the anoxic reactor made no difference to the quantity and rate of denitrifying phosphorus removal,but it could reduce the consumption of nitrate.Moreover,the data showed that the aerobic phosphate uptake of DPBNi was lower than that of anaerobic phosphorus-released sludge in a traditional A/O process.However,there was not much difference between these two kinds of sludge in terms of the total phosphorus uptake quantity and the effluent quality.LI Jie XIONG Biyong ZHANG Shude YANG Hong ZHANG Jie 2007Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2007,1,1:1
12A Novel Friction Stir Spot Riveting of Al/Cu Dissimilar Materials显示文摘In order to eliminate the disadvantages of the keyhole in conventional friction stir spot welding joint and attain the highstrength lap joint of Al/Cu dissimilar metals,a novel welding technique,named as friction stir spot riveting(FSSR),was proposed.A pinless tool and an extra filling stud were employed.The Al/Cu spot joints without keyhole defect were achieved by the FSSR.A Cu anchor-like structure was formed,which greatly increased the mechanical interlocking between the upper Al sheet and lower Cu sheet.The thin intermetallic compounds containing CuAl2 and CuAl at the Al/Cu interface strengthened the joining interface between the Al sheet and the Cu stud.Increasing rotating velocity increased frictional heat and plastic deformation and then eliminated the interfacial joining defects.The FSSR joint with the maximum tensile shear load of 3.50 kN was achieved at a rotating velocity of 1800 rpm and a dwell time of 20 s,whose fracture path passed through the softened region of upper Al sheet.In summary,the novel FSSR technique has the advantages of strong mechanical interlocking and metallurgical bonding between dissimilar materials,thereby attaining the high-strength spot joint.Jinglin Liu Qi Song Lihui Song Shude Ji Mingshen Li Zhen Jia Kang Yang 2021Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2021,34,1:0
13Friction Stir Welding of Al Alloy Thin Plate by Rotational Tool without Pin显示文摘For friction stir welding (FSW), a new idea is put forward in this paper to weld the thin plate of Al alloy by using the rotational tool without pin. The experiments of FSW are carried out by using the tools with inner-concave-flute shoulder, concentric-circles-flute shoulder and three-spiral-flute shoulder, respectively. The experimental results show that the grain size in weld nugget zone attained by the tool with three-spiral-flute shoulder is nearly the same while the grain sizes decrease with the decrease of welding velocity. The displacement of material flow in the heat-mechanical affected zone by the tool with three-spiral-flute shoulder is much larger than that by the tool with inner-concave-flute shoulder or concentric-circles-flute shoulder. The above-mentioned results are verified by numerical simulation. For the tool with three-spiral-flute shoulder, the tensile strength of FSW joint increases with the decrease of welding velocity while the value of tensile strength attained by the welding velocity of 20 mm/min and the rotation speed of 1800 r/min is about 398 MPa, which is 80% more than that of parent mental tensile strength. 15A novel seal-flow multi-vortex friction stir lap welding of metal to polymer matrix composites显示文摘The friction stir lap welding(FSLW)of metal to polymer is a challenging work due to the unavoidable polymer overflowing.Facing this problem,a novel seal-flow multi-vortex friction stir lap welding(SM-FSLW)technology based on the subversively-designed multi-step pin was put forward.Choosing 7075 aluminum alloy and short glass fiber-reinforced polyether ether ketone(PEEK)as research subjects,the welding temperature,material flow,formation and tensile shear strength of dissimilar materials lap joint under the SM-FSLW were studied and compared with those under traditional FSLW based on the conical pin.The multi-step pin rather than the conical pin effectively hindered the polymer overflowing due to the formation of vortexes by the step,thereby attaining a joint with a smooth surface.Compared with traditional FSLW,the SMFSLW obtained the higher welding temperature,the more violent material flow and the larger area with high flow velocity,thereby producing the macro-mechanical and micro-mechanical interlockings and then heightening the joint loading capacity.The tensile shear strength of lap joint under SM-FSLW was 27.8% higher than that under traditional FSLW.The SM-FSLW technology using the multi-step pin provides an effective way on obtaining a heterogeneous lap joint of metal to polymer with the excellent formation and high strength.Shuaiqiang NIAN Mingshen LI Shude JI Wei HU Zhiqing ZHANG Zelin SUN 2024Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2024,37,1:0
16Photovoltaic-powered supercapacitors for driving overall water splitting:A dual-modulated 3D architecture显示文摘Due to the growing demand for clean and renewable hydrogen fuel,there has been a surge of interest in electrocatalytic water-splitting devices driven by renewable energy sources.However,the feasibility of self-driven water splitting is limited by inefficient connections between functional modules,lack of highly active and stable electrocatalysts,and intermittent and unpredictable renewable energy supply.Herein,we construct a dualmodulated three-dimensional(3D)NiCo_(2)O_(4)@NiCo_(2)S_(4)(denoted as NCONCS)heterostructure deposited on nickel foam as a multifunctional electrode for electrocatalytic water splitting driven by photovoltaic-powered supercapacitors.Due to a stable 3D architecture configuration,abundant active sites,efficient charge transfer,and tuned interface properties,the NCONCS delivers a high specific capacity and rate performance for supercapacitors.A twoelectrode electrolyzer assembled with the NCONCS as both the anode and the cathode only requires a low cell voltage of 1.47 V to achieve a current density of 10 mA cm^(−2) in alkaline electrolyte,which outperforms the state-of-the-art bifunctional electrocatalysts.Theoretical calculations suggest that the generated heterointerfaces in NCONCS improve the surface binding capability of reaction intermediates while regulating the local electronic structures,which thus accelerates the reaction kinetics of water electrolysis.As a proof of concept,an integrated configuration comprising a two-electrode electrolyzer driven by two series-connected supercapacitors charged by a solar cell delivers a high product yield with superior durability.Zixu Sun Lijuan Sun See Wee Koh Junyu Ge Jipeng Fei Mengqi Yao Wei Hong Shude Liu Yusuke Yamauchi Hong Li 2022Carbon Energy2022,4,6:0
17Adjuvant tamoxifen switched to exemestane treatment in postmenopausal women with estrogen receptor-positive early breast cancer:A pragmatic,multicenter,and prospective clinical trial in China显示文摘Objective:This post-approval safety study assessed the efficacy and safety of exemestane after 2-3 years of tamoxifen treatment among postmenopausal women with estrogen receptor-positive(ER+)early breast cancer in China.Methods:Enrolled patients had received 2-3 years of tamoxifen and were then switched to exemestane for completion of 5 consecutive years of adjuvant endocrine therapy.The primary endpoint was the time from enrollment to the first occurrence of locoregional/distant recurrence of the primary breast cancer,appearance of a second primary or contralateral breast cancer,or death due to any cause.Other endpoints included the proportion of patients experiencing each event,incidence rate per annum,relationships between human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 status and time to event,and relationship between disease history variables and time to event.Results:Overall,558 patients were included in the full analysis set:397(71.1%)completed the study,20experienced an event,and 141 discontinued[47 owing to an adverse event(AE);37 no longer willing to participate].Median duration of treatment was 29.5(range,0.1-57.7)months.Median time to event was not reached.Eventfree survival probability at 36 months was 91.4%(95%CI,87.7%-95.1%).The event incidence over the total exposure time of exemestane therapy was 3.5 events/100 person-years(20/565).Multivariate analysis showed an association between tumor,lymph node,and metastasis stage at initial diagnosis and time to event[hazard ratio:1.532(95%CI,1.129-2.080);P=0.006].Most AEs were grade 1 or 2 in severity,with arthralgia(7.7%)being the most common treatment-related AE.Conclusions:This study supports the efficacy and safety of exemestane in postmenopausal Chinese women with ER+breast cancer previously treated with adjuvant tamoxifen for 2-3 years.No new safety signals were identified in the Chinese population.Binghe Xu Huiping Li Zefei Jiang Lin Gu Jinhai Tang Hui Xie Yueyin Pan Yunjiang Liu Shude Cui Xiaojia Wang Li Cai Yiqiong Zhang Huadong Zhao Zhimin Shao 2022Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2022,34,6:0
18An Improved JSO and Its Application in Spreader Optimization of Large Span Corridor Bridge显示文摘In this paper,given the shortcomings of jellyfish search algorithmwith low search ability in the early stage and easy to fall into local optimal solution,this paper introduces adaptive weight function and elite strategy,improving the global search scope in the early stage and the ability to refine the local development in the later stage.In the numerical study,the benchmark problem of dimensional optimization with a 10-bar truss structure and simultaneous dimensional shape optimization with a 15-bar truss structure is adopted,and the corresponding penalty method is used for constraint treatment.The test results show that the improved jellyfish search algorithm can provide better truss sections as well as weights.Because when the steel main truss of the large-span covered bridge is lifted,the site is limited and the large lifting equipment cannot enter the site,and the original structure does not meet the problem of stress concentration and large deformation of the bolt group,so the spreader is used to lift,and the improved jellyfish search algorithm is introduced into the design optimization of the spreader.The results show that the improved jellyfish algorithm can efficiently and accurately find out the optimal shape and weight of the spreader,and throughMidas Civil simulation,the spreader used canmeet the requirements of weight and safety.Shude Fu Xinye Wu Wenjie Wang Yixin Hu Zhengke Li Feng Jiang 2024Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2024,138,3:0
