| 4 | Visual Fixation Assessment in Patients with Disorders of Consciousness Based on Brain-Computer Interface显示文摘Visual fixation is an item in the visual function subscale of the Coma Recovery Scale-Revised(CRS-R).Sometimes clinicians using the behavioral scales find it difficult to detect because of the motor impairment in patients with disorders of consciousness(DOCs). Braincomputer interface(BCI) can be used to improve clinical assessment because it directly detects the brain response to an external stimulus in the absence of behavioral expression. In this study, we designed a BCI system to assist the visual fixation assessment of DOC patients. The results from 15 patients indicated that three showed visual fixation in both CRS-R and BCI assessments and one did not show such behavior in the CRS-R assessment but achieved significant online accuracy in the BCI assessment. The results revealed that electroencephalography-based BCI can detect the brain response for visual fixation. | 6 | Salt-assisted chemical vapor deposition of two-dimensional materials显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D) materials with atomic thickness are promising candidates for the applications in future semiconductor devices, owing to their fascinating physical properties and superlative optoelectronic performance. Chemical vapor deposition(CVD) is considered to be an efficient method for large-scale preparation of 2D materials toward practical applications.However, the high melting points of metal precursors and the thermodynamics instabilities of metastable phases limit the direct CVD synthesis of plenty of 2D materials. The salt has recently been introduced into the CVD process, which proved to be effective to address these issues. In this review, we highlighted the latest progress in the salt-assisted CVD growth of 2D materials, including layered and non-layered crystals. Firstly, strategies of adding salts are summarized. Then, the salt-assisted growth of various layered materials is presented, emphasizing on the transition metal chalcogenides of stable and metastable phases. Furthermore, strategies to grow ultrathin non-layered materials are discussed. We provide viewpoints into the techniques of using salt, the effects of salt, and the growth mechanisms of 2D crystals. | 7 | One-pot synthesis of Li_3VO_4@C nanofibers by electrospinning with enhanced electrochemical performance for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Electrospinning is firstly used to one-pot synthesis of Li_3VO_4@C nanofibers in a large scale. Although with the presence of organic sources in synthesis process, the pure phase Li_3VO_4 with superior nanofibrous morphology is still successfully obtained through adjusting different heat treatment processes and different vanadium sources. The prepared Li_3VO_4@C nanofibers exhibit a unique structure in which nanosized Li_3VO_4 particles are uniformly embedded in amorphous carbon matrix. Compared with Li_3VO_4/C powder,Li_3VO_4@C nanofibers display enhanced reversible capacity of 451 mAh g^(-1)at 40 mAg^(-1)with an increased initial coulombic efficiency of 82.3%, and the capacity can remain at 394 m Ah g^(-1)after 100 cycles. This superior electrochemical performance can be attributed to its unique structure which ensures a high reactivity by nanosized Li_3VO_4, more stable electrode/electrolyte interface by carbon encapsulation, improved electronic conductivity and buffered volume changes by flexible carbon matrix. | 9 | Geothermal field and its relation with coalbed methane distribution of the Qinshui Basin显示文摘The average geothermal gradient in the Qin-shui Basin, Shanxi Province, North China, estimated from temperature logging data of 20 boreholes is 28.2±1.03℃/km. The thermal conductivities of 39 rock samples are measured and 20 heat flow values are obtained. The estimated heat flow ranges from 44.75 mW7m2 to 101.81 mW/m2, with a mean of 62.69±15.20 mW/m2. The thermal history reconstruction from the inversion of vitrinite data, using Ther-model for Windows 2004, reveals that the average paleo-heat flow at the time of maximum burial in late Jurassic to early Cretaceous is 158.41 mW/m2 for the north part, 119.57 mW/m2 for the central part and 169.43 mW/m2for the south part of the basin respectively. The reconstruction of the buried history of the strata indicates that the age for the end of sedimentation and the beginning of erosion for the basin is 108-156 Ma, and that the eroded thickness of the strata is 2603 m in the north, 2291 m in the central, and 2528.9 m in the south of the basin respectively. | 11 | Single MoTe_(2) sheet electrocatalytic microdevice for in situ revealing the activated basal plane sites by vacancies engineering显示文摘Activating basal plane inert sites will endow MoTe_(2) with prominent hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)catalytic capability and arouse a new family of HER catalysts.Herein,we fabricated single MoTe_(2) sheet electrocatalytic microdevice for in situ revealing the activated basal plane sites by vacancies introducing.Through the extraction of electrical parameters of single MoTe_(2) sheet,the in-plane and interlayer conductivities were optimized effectively by Te vacancies due to the defect levels.More deeply,Te vacancies can induce the delocalization of electrons around Mo atoms and shift the d-band center,as a consequence,facilitate the adsorption of H from the catalyst surface for HER catalysis.Benefiting by the coordinated regulation of band structure and local charge density,the overpotential at−10 mA·cm^(−2)was reduced to 0.32 V after Te vacancies compared to 0.41 V for the basal plane sites of same MoTe_(2) nanosheet.Meanwhile,the insights gained from single nanosheet electrocatalytic microdevice can be applied to the improved HER of the commercial MoTe_(2) power.That the in situ testing of the atomic structure-electrical behavior-electrochemical properties of a single nanosheet before/after vacancies introducing provides reliable insight to structure-activity relationships. | Huan Yang Yinghe Zhao Qunlei Wen Yan Mi Youwen Liu Huiqiao Li Tianyou Zhai | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,12: | 3 |

| 13 | Could gingko foliage serve as a bio-monitor for organochlorine pesticides in air?显示文摘The feasibility of gingko (Gingo Biloba) foliage as a passive bio-monitor for organochlorine pesticides in air was explored. The accumulation patterns of hexachlorocyclohexanes (HCHs), dichlorodiphenyl- trichloroethanes (DDTs) and hexachlorobenzene (HCB) in gingko foliage were similar; the amounts of HCHs, DDTs and HCB increased with foliage growth in spring and decreased thereafter. This accumu-lation pattern is likely related to the growing process of the gingko foliage, which was observed for the first time in our work, giving a piece of evidence for the 'bud burst effect' in plants. Compared with those in pine needles in 1980's, the residual levels of HCHs and DDTs have declined obviously in Bei-jing, indicating that the ban on the production and use of organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) in our country is effective; however, the amount of HCB has increased, indicating great progress of chemical industry in Beijing. The analysis for the source of OCPs in the gingko foliage showed that the technical HCHs and DDTs were used largely in history, but were not used in recent years. A little lidane has been used and there was a new input of o,p′-DDT in recent years; dicofol usage may be the main source of o,p′-DDT. Concentrations of HCHs, DDTs and HCB in gingko foliages were similar to those in pine nee-dles in the corresponding period and there is a strong positive correlation between the OCPs concen-tration data obtained from these two kinds of trees. It presents no difference in the accumulation style between these two kinds of trees. The level of OCPs in the gingko foliage reflects the pollution status of OCP in air. | 14 | Strategic design and fabrication of MXenes-Ti_(3)CNCl_(2)@CoS_(2) core-shell nanostructure for high-efficiency hydrogen evolution显示文摘CoS_(2) is considered to be a promising electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).However,its further widespread applications are hampered by the unsatisfactory activity due to relatively high chemisorption energy for hydrogen atom.Herein,theoretical predictions of first-principles calculations reveal that the introduction of a Cl-terminated MXenes-Ti_(3)CNCl_(2) can significantly reduce the HER potential of CoS_(2)-based materials and the Ti_(3)CNCl_(2)@CoS_(2) core–shell nanostructure has Gibbs free energy of hydrogen adsorption(|ΔGH|)close to zero,much lower than that of the pristine CoS_(2) and Ti_(3)CNCl_(2).Inspired by the theoretical predictions,we have successfully fabricated a unique Ti_(3)CNCl_(2)@CoS_(2) core–shell nanostructure by ingeniously coupling CoS_(2) with a Cl-terminated MXenes-Ti_(3)CNCl_(2).Interface-charge transfer between CoS_(2) and Ti_(3)CNCl_(2) results in a higher degree of electronic localization and a formation of chemical bonding.Thus,the Ti_(3)CNCl_(2)@CoS_(2) core–shell nanostructure achieves a significant enhancement in HER activity compared to pristine CoS_(2) and Ti_(3)CNCl_(2).Theoretical calculations further confirm that the partial density of states of CoS_(2) after hybridization becomes more non-localized,and easier to interact with hydrogen ions,thus boosting HER performance.In this work,the success of oriented experimental fabrication of high-efficiency Ti_(3)CNCl_(2)@CoS_(2) electrocatalysts guided by theoretical predictions provides a powerful lead for the further strategic design and fabrication of efficient HER electrocatalysts. | Jizhou Jiang Saishuai Bai Meiqing Yang Jing Zou Neng Li Jiahe Peng Haitao Wang Kun Xiang Song Liu Tianyou Zhai | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,7: | 2 |
