2Nutrition support in surgical patients with colorectal cancer显示文摘AIM: To review the application of nutrition support in patients after surgery for colorectal cancer, and to propose appropriate nutrition strategies. METHODS: A total of 202 consecutive surgical patients admitted to our hospital with a diagnosis of colon cancer or rectal cancer from January 2010 to July 2010, meeting the requirements of Nutrition Risk Screening 2002, were enrolled in our study. Laboratory tests were performed to analyze the nutrition status of each patient, and the clinical outcome variables, including postoperative complications, hospital stay, cost of hospitalization and postoperative outcome, were analyzed. RESULTS: The 'non-risk' patients who did not receive postoperative nutrition support had a higher rate of postoperative complications than patients who received postoperative nutrition support (2.40 ± 1.51 vs 1.23 ± 0.60, P = 0.000), and had a longer postoperative hospital stay (23.00 ± 15.84 d vs 15.27 ± 5.89 d, P = 0.009). There was higher cost of hospitalization for patients who received preoperative total parenteral nutrition (TPN)than for patients who did not receive preoperative TPN (62 713.50 ± 5070.66 RMB Yuan vs 43178.00 ± 3596.68 RMB Yuan, P = 0.014). Applying postoperative enteral nutrition significantly shortened postoperative fasting time (5.16 ± 1.21 d vs 6.40 ± 1.84 d, P = 0.001) and postoperative hospital stay (11.92 ± 4.34 d vs 15.77 ± 6.03 d, P = 0.002). The patients who received postoperative TPN for no less than 7 d had increased serum glucose levels (7.59 ± 3.57 mmol/L vs 6.48 ± 1.32 mmol/L, P = 0.006) and cost of hospitalization (47 724.14 ± 16 945.17 Yuan vs 38 598.73 ± 8349.79 Yuan, P = 0.000). The patients who received postoperative omega-3 fatty acids had a higher rate of postoperative complications than the patients who did not (1.33 ± 0.64 vs 1.13 ± 0.49, P = 0.041). High level of serum glucose was associated with a high risk of postoperative complications of infection. 3Predicting geological hazards during tunnel construction显示文摘The complicated geological conditions and geological hazards are challenging problems during tunnel construction,which will cause great losses of life and property.Therefore,reliable prediction of geological defective features,such as faults,karst caves and groundwater,has important practical significances and theoretical values.In this paper,we presented the criteria for detecting typical geological anomalies using the tunnel seismic prediction(TSP) method.The ground penetrating radar(GPR) signal response to water-bearing structures was used for theoretical derivations.And the 3D tomography of the transient electromagnetic method(TEM) was used to develop an equivalent conductance method.Based on the improvement of a single prediction technique,we developed a technical system for reliable prediction of geological defective features by analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of all prediction methods.The procedure of the application of this system was introduced in detail.For prediction,the selection of prediction methods is an important and challenging work.The analytic hierarchy process(AHP) was developed for prediction optimization.We applied the newly developed prediction system to several important projects in China,including Hurongxi highway,Jinping II hydropower station,and Kiaochow Bay subsea tunnel.The case studies show that the geological defective features can be successfully detected with good precision and efficiency,and the prediction system is proved to be an effective means to minimize the risks of geological hazards during tunnel construction.Shucai Li Shuchen Li Qingsong Zhang Yiguo Xue Bin Liu Maoxin Su Zhechao Wang Shugang Wang 2010Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2010,2,3:25
4Compensation trends of the angulation of first molars:retrospective study of 1403 malocclusion cases显示文摘We investigated the compensatory trends of mesiodistal angulation of first molars in malocclusion cases. We compared differences in the angulation of first molars in different developmental stages, malocclusion classifications and skeletal patterns. The medical records and lateral cephalogrammes of 1 403 malocclusion cases taken before treatment were measured to evaluate compensation of molar angulation in relation to the skeletal jaw. The cases were stratified by age, Angle classification and skeletal patterns. Differences in the mesiodistal angulation of the first molars were compared among the stratifications. We observed three main phenomena. First,angulation of the upper first molar varied significantly with age and tipped most distally in cases aged,12 years and least distally in cases aged.16 years. The lower first molar did not show such differences. Second, in Angle Class II or skeletal Class II cases, the upper first molar was the most distally tipped, the lower first molar was the most mesially tipped, and opposite angulation compensation was observed in Class III cases. Third, in high-angle cases, the upper and lower first molars were the most distally tipped, and opposite angulation compensation was observed in low-angle cases. These data suggest that the angulation of the molars compensated for various growth patterns and malocclusion types. 5Clinical epidemiology of gastric cancer in Hehuang valley of China:A 10-year epidemiological study of gastric cancer显示文摘AIM:To investigate the clinical epidemiological characteristics of gastric cancer in the Hehuang valley,China,to provide a reference for treatment and prevention of regional gastric cancer.METHODS:Between February 2003 and February2013,the records of 2419 patients with gastric cancer were included in this study.The patient’s characteristics,histological and pathological features,as well as the dietary habits of the patients,were investigated.RESULTS:The clinical data showed that adenocarcinoma was the leading histological type of gastric cancer in this area.Characteristics of gastric cancer in different ethnic groups and age showed that the 60.55-65.50years group showed the high incidence of gastric cancer in all ethnic groups.There were more male gastric cancer patients than female.Intestinal was the most common type of gastric cancer in the Hehuang valley.There was no significant difference in the proportion of sex in terms of Helicobacter pylori infection.The impact of dietary habits on gastric cancer showed that regular consumption of fried or grilled food,consumption of high-salt,high-fat and spicy food and drinking strong Boiled brick-tea were three important factors associated with gastric cancer in males and females.CONCLUSION:Differences existed in race,sex,and age of patients according to the epidemiology of gastric cancer in the Hehuang valley.Moreover,dietary habits was also an important factor contributing to gastric cancer.Su Yan Bin Li Zhen-Zhong Bai Jun-Qi Wu Da-Wei Xie Ying-Cai Ma Xu-Xiang Ma Jun-Hui Zhao Xin-Jian Guo 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,30:22

7The wide-area difference system for the regional satellite navigation system of COMPASS显示文摘The regional satellite navigation system of COMPASS (Phase I) provides both open services and authorized services. Authorized services offer differential corrections and integrity information to users to support higher positioning, navigation and timing precision. Experimenting with real data, positioning accuracy is estimated with a 3GEO/4IGSO COMPASS constellation. The results show that with dual-frequency and single-frequency pseudo-range measurements, the positioning errors are respectively 8 and 10 m (RMS) for open service users, while for authorized users, the errors are 4 and 5 m (RMS), respectively. The COMPASS constellation geometry may cause large error to occur in the height component by 7-9 m for dualor single-frequency users, which can be effectively reduced with the differential corrections supplied by the authorized services. 8Fibrinogen-like protein 2/fibroleukin prothrombinase contributes to tumor hypercoagulability via IL-2 and IFN-γ显示文摘AIM: To examine the role of Fibrinogen-like protein 2 (fgl2)/fibroleukin in tumor development. Fgl2 has been reported to play a vital role in the pathogenesis in MHV-3 (mouse hepatitis virus) induced fulminant and severe hepatitis,spontaneous abortion,allo-and xeno-graft rejection by mediating 'immune coagulation'. METHODS: Tumor tissues from 133 patients with six types of distinct cancers and the animal tumor tissues from human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) model on nude mice (established from high metastasis HCC cell line MHCC97LM6) were obtained. RESULTS: Hfgl2 was detected in tumor tissues from 127 out of 133 patients as well as tumor tissues collected from human HCC nude mice. Hfgl2 was highly expressed both in cancer cells and interstitial inflammatory cells including macrophages,NK cells,and CD8+ T lymphocytes and vascular endothelial cells. Hfgl2 mRNA was localized in cells that expressed hfgl2 protein. Fibrin (nogen) co-localization with hfgl2 expression was determined by dual immunohistochemical staining. In vitro,IL-2 and IFN-γ increased hfgl2 mRNA by 10-100 folds and protein expression in both THP-1 and HUVEC cell lines. One-stage clotting assays demonstrated that THP-1 and HUVEC cells expressing hfgl2 had increased procoagulant activity following cytokines stimulation. 13Pain management of hemiplegic shoulder pain post stroke in patients from Nanjing,China显示文摘We selected 106 hemiplegic patients with shoulder pain hospitalized after stroke from three hospitals in Nanjing,China between February 2007 and January 2012.All patients had complete clinical data sets and accounted for 45.5%of the inpatients because of stroke.Results showed that the number of patients with hemiplegic shoulder pain post stroke increased yearly,attacking mainly males 50–69 years of age.Of 106 patients,there were 60 cases(56.6%)of adhesive capsulitis,19(17.9%)of shoulder subluxation,14(13.2%)of complex regional pain syndrome,and 13(12.6%)of central pain.The main symptoms were shoulder pain(100%),limit of shoulder mobility(98.1%),and adhesion of the scapula(56.6%).MRI of the shoulder showed tendon and ligament lesions(57.1%)and rotator cuff tear(38.1%).53.8%of central pain was related to the thalamus,in addition to the basal ganglia,brain stem,and cerebellopontine angle.Shoulder pain,upper limb motor function and function independence were significantly improved after comprehensive rehabilitation.In particular,electroacupuncture based on basic physical therapy exhibited efficacy on shoulder subluxation and complex regional pain syndrome.Multiple linear regression results showed a negative relationship of efficacy of pain management with the attack period of shoulder pain involvement of the posterior limb of the internal capsule,and duration between onset and rehabilitation treatment,but a positive correlation with pain-related education,pain regression period,and pain diagnosis.Yi Zhu Bin Su Ning Li Hongzhu Jin 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,25:14
14The Dabie-Sulu orogenic peridotites:Progress and key issues显示文摘Orogenic peridotites in the Dabie-Sulu orogenic belt are commonly subdivided into‘crustal’type and‘mantle’type.They exhibit distinct mineral textures,metamorphic evolution,and whole-rock and mineral compositions.Most‘mantle’type peridotites originated from the subcontinental lithospheric mantle(SCLM)of the North China Craton and thus provide direct evidence of crust-mantle interactions in the continental subduction channel.In garnet peridotites,both garnet and Cr-spinel can be equilibrated at peak pressure conditions.Their stabilities are mainly controlled by the refertilized degree of whole-rock;therefore,spinel composition cannot be used to discriminate the partial melting degree of orogenic peridotites.Refractory mantle-derived dunites contain the textures of low Mg and high Ca olivine veins that crosscut orthopyroxene porphyroblasts,which is considered as evidence for silica-undersaturated melt-rock reactions.Such reactions occurring before subduction may potentially affect Re-Os isotopic compositions.Rutile,Ti-clinohumite and zircon in mantle-derived peridotites or pyroxenites provide direct mineralogical evidence for the transport of high field strength elements(HFSEs)from the subducted crust into the mantle wedge.Based on detailed in situ element and isotope analyses,we can constrain the source of metasomatic agents,the metasomatic time and the process of mass transfer.The mantle wedge above continental subduction zones has a wide range of oxygen fugacity values(FMQ=?5.50–1.75),showing a roughly negative correlation with the subducted depths.However,the calculated results of oxygen fugacity are significantly affected by mineral assemblages,P-T conditions and dehydrogenation-oxidation of nominally anhydrous mantle olivine during exhumation.Although significant progress has been made in the study of orogenic peridotites in the Dabie-Sulu orogenic belt,many critical questions remain.With new approaches and advanced technologic applications,additional knowledge of the phase relation in the peridotite-pyroxenite complex system,the mantle geodynamic process before continental subduction,the effects of crustal metasomatism on chemical composition,the oxygen fugacity,and the physical properties of the mantle wedge is anticipated.CHEN Yi SU Bin GUO Shun 2015Science China Earth Sciences2015,58,10:14
15Kiwifruit recognition at nighttime using artificial lighting based on machine vision显示文摘Most researches involved so far in kiwifruit harvesting robot suggest the scenario of harvesting in daytime for taking advantage of sunlight.A robot operating at nighttime can overcome the problem of low work efficiency and would help to minimize fruit damage.In addition,artificial lights can be used to ensure constant illumination instead of the variable natural sunlight for image capturing.This paper aims to study the kiwifruit recognition at nighttime using artificial lighting based on machine vision.Firstly,an RGB camera was placed underneath the canopy so that clusters of kiwifruits could be included in the images.Next,the images were segmented using an R-G color model.Finally,a group of image processing conventional methods,such as Canny operator were applied to detect the fruits.The image processing results showed that this capturing method could reduce the background noise and overcome any target overlapping.The experimental results showed that the optimal artificial lighting ranged approximately between 30-50 lx.The developed algorithm detected 88.3%of the fruits successfully.Fu Longsheng Wang Bin Cui Yongjie Su Shuai Yoshinori Gejima Taiichi Kobayashi 2015International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,4:14

17COVID-19: Challenges to GIS with Big Data显示文摘The outbreak of the 2019 novel coronavirus disease(COVID-19)has caused more than 100,000 people infected and thousands of deaths.Currently,the number of infections and deaths is still increasing rapidly.COVID-19 seriously threatens human health,production,life,social functioning and international relations.In the fight against COVID-19,Geographic Information Systems(GIS)and big data technologies have played an important role in many aspects,including the rapid aggregation of multi-source big data,rapid visualization of epidemic information,spatial tracking of confirmed cases,prediction of regional transmission,spatial segmentation of the epidemic risk and prevention level,balancing and management of the supply and demand of material resources,and socialemotional guidance and panic elimination,which provided solid spatial information support for decision-making,measures formulation,and effectiveness assessment of COVID-19 prevention and control.GIS has developed and matured relatively quickly and has a complete technological route for data preparation,platform construction,model construction,and map production.However,for the struggle against the widespread epidemic,the main challenge is finding strategies to adjust traditional technical methods and improve speed and accuracy of information provision for social management.At the data level,in the era of big data,data no longer come mainly from the government but are gathered from more diverse enterprises.As a result,the use of GIS faces difficulties in data acquisition and the integration of heterogeneous data,which requires governments,businesses,and academic institutions to jointly promote the formulation of relevant policies.At the technical level,spatial analysis methods for big data are in the ascendancy.Currently and for a long time in the future,the development of GIS should be strengthened to form a data-driven system for rapid knowledge acquisition,which signifies ts that GIS should be used to reinforce the social operation parameterization of models and methods,especially when providing support for social management.Chenghu Zhou Fenzhen Su Tao Pei An Zhang Yunyan Du Bin Luo Zhidong Cao Juanle Wang Wen Yuan Yunqiang Zhu Ci Song Jie Chen Jun Xu Fujia Li Ting Ma Lili Jiang Fengqin Yan Jiawei Yi Yunfeng Hu Yilan Liao Han Xiao 2020Geography and Sustainability2020,1,1:13

20Accumulation and Reformation of Silurian Reservoir in the Northern Tarim Basin显示文摘Silurian sandstone in Tarim Basin has good reservoir properties and active oil and gas shows,especially thick widely-distributed bituminous sandstone.Currently,the Silurian was found containing both bitumen and conventional reservoirs,with petroleum originating from terrestrial and marine source rocks.The diversity of their distribution was the result of 'three sources,three stages' accumulation and adjustment processes.'Three sources' refers to two sets of marine rocks in Cambrian and Middle-Upper Ordovician,and a set of terrestrial rock formed in Triassic in the Kuqa depression.'Three stages' represents three stages of accumulation,adjustment and reformation occurring in Late Caledonian,Late Hercynian and Late Himalayan,respectively.The study suggests that the Silurian bitumen is remnants of oil generated from Cambrian and Ordovician source rocks and accumulated in the sandstone reservoir during Late Caledonian-Early Hercynian and Late Hercynian stages,and then damaged by the subsequent two stages of tectonic uplift movements in Early Hercynian and Pre-Triassic.The authors presumed that the primary paleo-reservoirs formed during these two stages might be preserved in the Silurian in the southern deep part of the Tabei area.Except for the Yingmaili area where the Triassic terrestrial oil was from the Kuqa Depression during Late Himalayan Stage,all movable oil reservoirs originated from marine sources.They were secondary accumulations from underlying Ordovician after structure reverse during the Yanshan-Himalayan stage.Oil/gas shows mixed-source characteristics,and was mainly from Middle-Upper Ordovician.The complexity and diversity of the Silurian marine primary properties were just defined by these three stages of oil-gas charging and tectonic movements in the Tabei area.ZHU Guangyou CUI Jie SU Jin YANG Haijun ZHANG Bin HU Jianfeng ZHU Yongfeng 2012Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2012,86,1:13
