1Selenium Distribution Pattern, Antineoplastic and Immunostimulatory Activities of a Novel Organoselenium Compound Eb显示文摘Aim To study the distribution pattern, antineoplastic activity and immtmocompetence of a novel organeselenium compotmd Eb and investigate its in vivo antineoplastic potential. Methods Eb was administered to Kunming mice (dosage, 0.1 g·kg^-1·d^-1) intragastrically for 7 successive days. The contents of selenium in heart, liver, spleen, kidneys, lungs, stomach, brain, muscle, and bone were determined by fluommetric method on the eighth day. MTT assay was used to study tumor growth inhibition of Eb in vitro, and lymphocyte transformation, hemolysin formation and phagocytosis assay were used to study its immunocompetence. Results After 7 days' administration of Eb, the tissue contents of selenium in liver, spleen, lungs, kidneys, and bone of mice increased, especially those in liver and spleen increased significantly, compared with controls; but no significant changes of such contents were fotmd in muscle, heart, brain, and stomach. Eb demonstrated inhibitory effects on human Bel-7402, BGC-823, and Calu-3 cancer cell lines in vitro. Eb also showed ability to enhance lymphocyte transformation and serum hemolysin formation in v/tro and increase the phagocytosis of macrophages. Conclusion The validated antitumor and immtmostimulatory activities of Eb suggest a hypothesis that Eb may behave as a biological response modifier when used as an antitumor agent. 3Surface modification of nanogold particles in DNA detection with quartz crystal microbalance显示文摘Nanogold particles in different sizes, from 5 to 60 nm, were utilized to modify the surface of the quartz crystal microbalance (QCM). 4Study on the breeding technology of heterosis seedling of Laminaria and new combinations显示文摘After continuous breeding gametophyte of Laminaria, then breaking protonema, heterosis seedling is got by bilineal hybridization. The result shows that the weight-increasing rate of female and male gametophyte clone cells are 14.03% and 13.87%, after 16 d crossbreeding, the rate of ovulation is up to100%; the length of juvenile sporophyte after 40 d breeding is 2-3 cm. 11Paleomagnetic result of the Cenozoic volcanic rocks from the Tuoyun Basin,southwest Tien Shan of China and its tectonic implications显示文摘Paleomagnetic study on the Cenozoic volcanic rocks from the Tuoyun Basin of the southwest Tien Shan indicates that most samples could isolate a stable character- istic remanent magnetization with reversed polarity. The positive fold test suggests that the characteristic component is very likely to be a primary magnetization acquired in the formation of rocks. Comparison with the reference Eurasia poles at 60 Ma indicates little or insignificant N-S conver- gence between the south edge of southwest Tien Shan and Siberia since the onset of the India/Asia collision at the Eo- cene. 14Influence of interlayer water molecules in Ni-based catalysts for oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘Nickel-iron layered double hydroxides(NiFe LDHs) have been identified as one of the best promising electrocatalysts-candidates for oxygen evolution reaction(OER). However, the catalytic activity effected by interlayer water molecules is ignored and rarely reported. Herein, Ni(OH)_2, NiFe LDHs vertically aligned Ni foam are designed for OER. As a contrast, the corresponding electrocatalysts with the removal of the interlayer water molecules(Ni(OH)_2-AT, NiFe LDHs-AT) are developed to probe into the influence of the interlayer water molecules towards OER. As expected, NiFe LDH nanoplates exhibit excellent catalytic performance and durability for water electrolysis in alkaline conditions with lower overpotential and smaller Tafel slope compared to those of NiFe LDHs-AT, which are influenced mainly by stability of crystal structure due to the existence of interlayer water molecules. 20Influence of nozzle height to width ratio on ignition and NOx emission characteristics of semicoke/bituminous coal blends in a 300 kW pulverized coal-fired furnace显示文摘To improve the ignition behavior and to reduce the high NOx emissions of blended pulverized fuels(PF)of semicoke(SC),large-scale experiments were conducted in a 300 kW fired furnace at various nozzle settings,i.e.,ratios(denoted by hf/b)of the height of the rectangular burner nozzle to its width of 1.65,2.32,and 3.22.The combustion tests indicate that the flame stability,ignition performance,and fuel burnout ratio were significantly improved at a nozzle setting of hf/b=2.32.The smaller hf/b delayed ignition and caused the flame to concentrate excessively on the axis of the furnace,while the larger hf/b easily caused the deflection of the pulverized coal flame,and a high-temperature flame zone emerged close to the furnace wall.NOx emissions at the outlet of the primary zone decreased from 447 to 354 mg/m3(O2=6%),and the ignition distance decreased from 420 to 246 mm when the hf/b varied from 1.65 to 3.22.Furthermore,the ratio(denoted by SR/SC)of the strong reduction zone area to the combustion reaction zone area was defined experimentally by the CO concentration to evaluate the reduction zone.The SR/SC rose monotonously,but its restraining effects on NOx formation decreased as hf/b increased.The results suggested that in a test furnace,regulating the nozzle hf/b conditions sharply reduces NOx emissions and improves the combustion efficiency of SC blends possessing an appropriate jet rigidity.Liutao SUN Yonghong YAN Rui SUN Zhengkang PENG Chunli XING Jiangquan WU 2021Frontiers in Energy2021,15,2:1
