Effects of the ratio of C/Si, pig iron, nodularizer and alloying method on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the heavy section ductile iron have been analyzed. It has been found that when treated with RE-Mg plus Sb, high quality nodular castings can be produced even if much anti spheroidizing alloy elements are included in the pig iron. | 5 | Numerical Simulation of Solidification of Work Roll in Centrifugal Casting Process显示文摘A program on the solidification process of horizontal centrifugal casting coupled with eutectic carbides segregation has been developed in this paper.Due to the geometrical features of work roll,a cylindrical coordinate system was used.The temperature field of the outer layer at the end of filling process was imported as the initial temperature condition for the solidification process.The model of eutectic carbides segregation caused by different densities between eutectic MC and the molten steel was coupled in the program.The temperature field of the outer layer of work roll during horizontal centrifugal casting process was investigated.Results show that the outer layer has a 'sandwich shape' solid fraction manner.Results also indicate that the segregation of eutectic MC is quite severe during centrifugal casting process.It forms four zones of different content of carbides in radial direction.The simulated results of MC carbides segregation phenomenon agree with the experimental observations. | Nannan Song Yikun Luan Yunlong Bai Z.A. | 6 | Measurement of the neutron total cross section of carbon at the Back-n white neutron beam of CSNS显示文摘To verify the performance of the neutron total cross-sectional spectrometer, the neutron total cross section of carbon is initially measured in the energy range of 1 eV to 20 MeV using the time-of-flight method. The measurement is performed at the Back-n white neutron source with a 76-m time-of-flight path using the China Spallation Neutron Source. A multilayer fast fission chamber with 235U and 238U is employed as the neutron detector. The diameter and thickness of the natural graphite sample are 70 mm and 40 mm, respectively. Signal waveforms are collected using a data acquisition system. Off-line data processing was used to obtain the neutron time-of-flight spectra and transmissions. The uncertainty of the counting statistics is generally approximately 3% for each bin in the energy range of 1–20 MeV. It is determined that the results for the neutron total cross section of carbon obtained using ^235U cells are in good agreement with the results obtained using 238U cells within limits of statistical uncertainty. | 16 | Reconstructing the food structure of ancient coastal inhabitants from Beiqian village:Stable isotopic analysis of fossil human bone显示文摘The Beiqian site located in Jimo city,Qingdao,a few kilometers from the modern coastline was excavated in 2007,2009 and 2011.A large number of human bones from the early Dawenkou period were unearthed.Through C and N stable isotopic analysis,the food structure of the 'Beiqian' ancestors was reconstructed and the influence of terrestrial and marine resources on their lifestyle was discussed.Based on the δ13C and δ15N stable isotopic values of human bone collagen,the analytical results obtained through a ternary mixed model reveal that the food sources of the Beiqian ancestors included about 44.1% marine species(probably shellfish and fish),34.1% C4 plants(possibly millet),and 21.8% land animals.These results indicate that they lived mainly from fishing and farming,supplemented by hunting or poultry raising.Compared with other sites in the same period,the stable isotope results show that 5000-6000 years ago,the lifestyles of ancestors in the Yangtze River basin,Yellow River basin,Northern coastal area and inland area were very different.The ancestors from the Yangtze River basin focused on rice farming and fishing,whereas the ancestors in the Yellow River basin farmed millet and raised animals.Those in coastal areas relied mostly on farming and marine fishing. | WANG Fen FAN Rong KANG HaiTao JIN GuiYun LUAN FengShi FANG Hui LIN YuHai YUAN ShiLing | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,17: | 1 |
