| 2 | Biochemical and microbial properties of rhizospheres under maize/ peanut intercropping显示文摘Maize/peanut intercropping system shows the significant yield advantage. Soil microbes play major roles in soil nutrient cycling and were affected by intercropping plants. This experiment was carried out to evaluate the changing of rhizosphere microbial community composition, and the relationship between microbial community and soil enzymatic activities, soil nutrients in maize/peanut intercropping system under the following three treatments: maize(Zea mays L.) and peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.) were intercropped without any separation(NS), by half separation(HS) using a nylon net(50 μm) and complete separation(CS) by using a plastic sheet, respectively. The soil microbial communities were assessed by phospholipid fatty acid(PLFA). We found that soil available nutrients(available nitrogen(Avail N) and available phosphorus(Avail P)) and enzymatic activities(soil urase and phosphomonoesterase) in both crops were improved in NS and HS treatments as compared to CS. Both bacterial and fungal biomasses in both crops were increased in NS followed by HS. Furthermore, Gram-positive bacteria( G+) in maize soils were significant higher in NS and HS than CS, while the Gram-negative(G–) was significant higher in peanut soil. The ratio of normal saturated to monounsaturated PLFAs was significantly higher in rhizosphere of peanut under CS treatment than in any other treatments, which is an indicator of nutrient stress. Redundancy analysis and cluster analysis of PLFA showed rhizospheric microbial community of NS and HS of both plants tended to be consistent. The urase and Avail N were higher in NS and HS of both plants and positively correlated with bacteria, fungi(F) and total PLFAs, while negatively correlated with G+/G– and NS/MS. The findings suggest that belowground interactions in maize/peanut intercropping system play important roles in changing the soil microbial composition and the dominant microbial species, which was closely related with the improving of soil available nutrients(N and P) and enzymatic activities. | LI Qi-song | 2016 | Journal of Integrative Agriculture2016,15,1: | 24 |

| 6 | Evolution of permafrost in China during the last 20 ka显示文摘The formation and evolution of permafrost in China during the last 20 ka were reconstructed on the basis of large amount of paleo-permafrost remains and paleo-periglacial evidence, as well as paleo-glacial landforms, paleo-flora and paleofauna records. The results indicate that, during the local Last Glacial Maximum(LLGM) or local Last Permafrost Maximum(LLPMax), the extent of permafrost of China reached 5.3×106-5.4×106 km2, or thrice that of today, but permafrost shrank to only0.80×106-0.85×106 km2, or 50% that of present, during the local Holocene Megathermal Period(LHMP), or the local Last Permafrost Minimum(LLPMin). On the basis of the dating of periglacial remains and their distributive features, the extent of permafrost in China was delineated for the two periods of LLGM(LLPMax) and LHMP(LLPMin), and the evolution of permafrost in China was divided into seven periods as follows:(1) LLGM in Late Pleistocene(ca. 20000 to 13000-10800 a BP)with extensive evidence for the presence of intensive ice-wedge expansion for outlining its LLPMax extent;(2) A period of dramatically changing climate during the early Holocene(10800 to 8500-7000 a BP) when permafrost remained relatively stable but with a general trend of shrinking areal extent;(3) The LHMP in the Mid-Holocene(8500-7000 to 4000-3000 a BP)when permafrost degraded intensively and extensively, and shrank to the LLPMin;(4) Neoglaciation during the late Holocene(4000-3000 to 1000 a BP, when permafrost again expanded;(5) Medieval Warming Period(MWP) in the late Holocene(1000-500 a BP) when permafrost was in a relative decline;(6) Little Ice Age(LIA) in the late Holocene(500-100 a BP), when permafrost relatively expanded, and;(7) Recent warming(during the 20 th century), when permafrost continuously degraded and still is degrading. It has been identified that graduate nurses may lack the clinical reasoning skills to deliver safe and effective patient care. It is therefore of paramount importance to enhance nursing students' clinical reasoning ability. High-fidelity simulation(HFS) is proved to be an effective teaching and learning method, which may also have some advantages over other teaching methods.Methods: The authors retrospectively reviewed the related literature, illustrated the application of high-fidelity simulation teaching method in nursing education, putting the focus on the use of it in teaching with clinical reasoning.Results: The application of high-fidelity simulation to nursing education can simulate the clinical situation, thus to create a safe,continuous and efficient learning environment for students, and it can effectively improve students' clinical reasoning ability.Conclusions: high-fidelity simulation is effective for clinical reasoning teaching in nursing education. The extension of its application in China should be of great value. | 15 | Disruption of crosstalk between LX-2 and liver cancer stem-like cells from MHCC97H cells by DFOG via inhibiting FOXM1显示文摘Hepatic stellate cell(HSC)line LX-2 is activated by liver cancer stem-like cells(LCSLCs)and produces various cytokines that make up most of the hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)microenvironment.The new genistein derivative,7-difluoromethoxyl-5,4-dirboctylgenistein(DFOG),shows anticancer effects in multiple malignancies by controlling forkhead box M1(FOXM1).In this study,we aimed to assess whether DFOG disrupts the crosstalk between human HSC LX-2 cells and LCSLCs.Distinct gen erations of MHCC97H-derived spheres were obtained with the sec ond generation considered as LCSLCs which displayed enhanced self-renewal ability and elevated expression levels of CD133,CD44,and EpCAM proteins,as well as tumorigenicity,as revealed by colony formation assay in vitro and tumorigenicity assay in vivo.LX-2 and MHCC97H cells were co-cultured with/without DFOG(1,5,and 10 pM,respectively)using the transwell system.FOXM1 overexpression and/or knockdown were employed for mechanistic investigations.Our results suggested that Co-CM promoted LX-2 cell transformation into liver cancer-associated HSCs.Meanwhile,FOXM1 was up-regulated and the level of hepatocyte growth factor(HGF)was in creased in LX-2 cells and in the super nata nt after Co-CM stimulati on.Sphere and colony formation abilities in MHCC97H cells,and protein levels of CD133r CD44,and EpCAM,were also markedly elevated.DFOG dose-dependently inhibited the above effects,similar to FOXM1 knockdown in LX-2 cells.FOXM1 overexpression reversed the inhibitory effects of DFOG or FOXM1 knockdown or both on LX-2 cell activation and LCSLC feature induction in MHCC97H cells by LCSLC/LX-2 co-culture.This study demonstrated that DFOG disrupts the crosstalk between HSCs and LCSLCs to suppress LCSLC features via dowrrregulating FOXM1 expression and reducing HGF secretion in HSCs. | A Chen Chang Xu Yimin Luo Lihua Liu Kun Song Guangqi Deng Mengjie Yang Jianguo Cao Liming Yuan Xiang Li | 2019 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,12: | 2 |
| 16 | Exogenous cytokinin application to Actinidia chinensis var. deliciosa ‘Hayward’ fruit promotes fruit expansion through water uptake显示文摘Exogenous application of a cytokinin-like compound forchlorfenuron(CPPU)can promote fruit growth,although often at the expense of dry matter(DM),an important indicator of fruit quality.Actinidia chinensis var.deliciosa‘Hayward’fruit are very responsive to CPPU treatments,but the mechanism underlying the significant fruit weight increase and associated decrease in DM is unclear.In this study,we hypothesised that CPPU-enhanced growth increases fruit carbohydrate demand,but limited carbohydrate supply resulted in decreased fruit DM.During fruit development,CPPU effects on physical parameters,metabolites,osmotic pressure and transcriptional changes were assessed under conditions of both standard and a high carbohydrate supply.We showed that CPPU increased fruit fresh weight but the dramatic DM decrease was not carbohydrate limited.Enhanced glucose and fructose concentrations contributed to an increase in soluble carbohydrate osmotic pressure,which was correlated with increased water accumulation in CPPU-treated fruit and up-regulation of water channel aquaporin gene PIP2.4 at 49 days after anthesis.Transcipt analysis suggested that the molecular mechanism contributing to increased glucose and fructose concentrations was altered by carbohydrate supply.At standard carbohydrate supply,the early glucose increase in CPPU fruit was associated with reduced starch synthesis and increased starch degradation.When carbohydrate supply was high,the early glucose increase in CPPU fruit was associated with a general decrease in starch synthesis but up-regulation of vacuolar invertase and fructokinase genes.We conclude that CPPU affected fruit expansion by increasing the osmotically-driven water uptake and its effect was not carbohydrate supply-limited. | Simona Nardozza Helen L Boldingh Mark W Wohlers Andrew P Gleave Zhiwei Luo Guglielmo Costa Elspeth A MacRae Michael J Clearwater Annette C Richardson | 2017 | Horticulture Research2017,4,1: | 2 |
