| 1 | Atomistic simulation on the generation of defects in Cu/SiC composites during cooling显示文摘The coefficient of thermal expansion(CTE)mismatch between the reinforcement and the matrix results in thermal residual stresses and defects within metal-matrix composites(MMCs)upon cooling from the processing temperature to ambient temperature.The residual stresses and thermally induced defects play an important role in the mechanical properties of MMCs,it is critical to understand the mechanism of defect formation and evolution.This study provides atomistic simulations to reveal the generation of thermal residual stresses,dislocation and incomplete stacking fault tetrahedron(ISFT)during cooling in the idealized Cu/SiC composites.We found that dislocations are generated explosively in a certain temperature range during cooling,which results in a non-linear relationship between dislocation density and temperature.The combined effect of the stresses induced by CTE mismatch and the thermodynamic state of the metal leads to the rapid generation of dislocations.The Shockley partial and the highly stable stair rod are the two dominant dislocation structures.The immobile stair-rod dislocations and the highly stable ISFTs formed in the initial high temperature stage inhibit further development of plastic deformation.The present results provide new insights into the defect formation mechanism and the dislocation strengthening mechanism of MMCs caused by thermal mismatch between constituents. | Yongnan Xiong Wangyu Hu Yao Shu Xing Luo Zhibo Zhang Jiazhen He Cuicui Yin Kaihong Zheng | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,28: | 1 |
| 2 | Whole-brain patterns of the presynaptic inputs and axonal projections of BDNF neurons in the paraventricular nucleus显示文摘Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) plays a crucial role in human obesity. Yet, the neural circuitry supporting the BDNF-mediated control of energy homeostasis remains largely undefined. To map key regions that might provide inputs to or receive inputs from the paraventricular nucleus (PVN) BDNF neurons, a key type of cells in regulating feeding and thermogenesis, we used rabies virus-based transsynaptic labeling and adeno-associated virus based anterograde tracing techniques to reveal their whole-brain distributions. We found that dozens of brain regions provide dense inputs to or receive dense inputs from PVN BDNF neurons, including several known weight control regions and several novel regions that might be functionally important for the BDNF-mediated regulation of energy homeostasis.Interestingly, several regions show very dense reciprocal connections with PVN BDNF neurons, including the lateral septum, the preoptic area, the ventromedial hypothalamic nucleus, the paraventricular thalamic nucleus, the zona incerta, the lateral parabrachial nucleus, the subiculum, the raphe magnus nucleus, and the raphe pallidus nucleus. These strong anatomical connections might be indicative of important functional connections. | 5 | A novel inactivated whole-cell Pseudomonas aeruginosa vaccine that acts through the cGAS-STING pathway显示文摘Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection continues to be a major threat to global public health,and new safe and efficacious vaccines are needed for prevention of infections caused by P.aeruginosa.X-ray irradiation has been used to prepare whole-cell inactivated vaccines against P.aeruginosa infection.However,the immunological mechanisms of X-ray-inactivated vaccines are still unclear and require further investigation.Our previous study found that an X-ray-inactivated whole-cell vaccine could provide protection against P.aeruginosa by boosting T cells.The aim of the present study was to further explore the immunological mechanisms of the vaccine.Herein,P.aeruginosa PAO1,a widely used laboratory strain,was utilized to prepare the vaccine,and we found nucleic acids and 8-hydroxyguanosine in the supernatant of X-ray-inactivated PAO1(XPa).By detecting CD86,CD80,and MHCII expression,we found that XPa fostered dentritic cell(DC)maturation by detecting.XPa stimulated the cGAS-STING pathway as well as Toll-like receptors in DCs in vitro,and DC finally underwent apoptosis and pyroptosis after XPa stimulation.In addition,DC stimulated by XPa induced CD8+T-cell proliferation in vitro and generated immunologic memory in vivo.Moreover,XPa vaccination induced both Th1 and Th2 cytokine responses in mice and reduced the level of inflammatory factors during infection.XPa protected mice in pneumonia models from infection with PAO1 or multidrug-resistant clinical isolate W9.Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)mice immunized with XPa could resist PAO1 infection.Therefore,a new mechanism of an X-ray-inactivated whole-cell vaccine against P.aeruginosa infection was discovered in this study. | Cuicui Ma Xiao Ma Boguang Jiang Hailong Pan Xueyuan Liao Li Zhang Wenfang Li Yingjie Luo Zhixue Shen Xingjun Cheng Mao Lian Zhenling Wang | 2021 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,11: | 0 |

| 8 | Prokaryotic Expression of Glycoprotein Gene of Infectious Hnematopoietic Necrosis Virus and Polyclonal Antibody Preparation显示文摘[Objective]The aim is to perform prokaryotic expression of the glycoprotein gene of infectious hnematopoietic necrosis virus and polyclonal antibody preparation. [Methods]Glycoprotein gene( G) of infectious hematopoietic tissue( IHNV) was synthesized,cloned to prokaryotic expression system pET-30a vector,yielding the recombinant plasmid pET-30a-IHNV-G. The yielded pET-30a-IHNV-G was transformed into E. coli strain BL21( DE3) plySs. [Results] SDSPAGE and Western blot results showed that protein G successfully expressed in E. coli at 37 ℃,1 mmol /L IPTG induction for 4 h. The molecular weight of fusion G protein was 57 KD. The polyclonal antibody was prepared by immunizing mice with the product of gel purification. ELISA analysis showed that the serum titer reached 1∶10 000. | 9 | An Improved Group Decision-Making Model for the Investment Options of Small-Scale Photovoltaic Systems Based on Cumulative Prospect Theory and Choquet Integral显示文摘With the development of photovoltaic(PV) industry, installing small-scale PV systems which are integrated into the buildings becomes popular. Therefore, it is important to make optimal investment decisions for investors and consumers. This paper proposes an improved group decision-making method which integrates the cumulative prospect theory and Choquet integral for the investment options of small-scale PV systems. From the perspective of sustainability, the alternatives are evaluated by four criteria, including economic benefits, solar energy condition, carbon emissions and social benefits. Since the performances of criteria are given by decision makers as linguistic variables, the proposed method measures the criteria values by intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. Then the alternatives are evaluated and ranked to determine the optimal option. | 10 | Multifunctional Flexible Vanadium Dioxide Films显示文摘CONSPECTUS:As a typical phase transition material,vanadium dioxide(VO_(2))has attracted much attention due to its amazing metal−insulator transition(MIT)at the critical temperature of 68°C,which could be driven by multiple stimuli,including electricity,thermal irradiation,THz waves,strain,etc.In the MIT process,VO_(2)exhibits significant changes in its structure from monoclinic structure at low temperature to rutile structure at high temperature,accompanied by significant modulation of physical properties,such as the infrared transmittance from high to low and a resistivity drop over 5 magnitudes.Based on these features,VO_(2)has functioned as thermochromic coatings,sensors,switches,electronic devices,actuators,etc.However,the vanadium element possesses multiple valent states and can produce complicated thermodynamics of vanadium oxides.The fabrication of tetravalence VO_(2)with desirable phase-transition features usually requires rigorous fabrication conditions with a precisely controlled atmosphere for stoichiometric components and high temperatures for good crystallinity.Under these circumstances,it is difficult to directly fabricate crystalline VO_(2)films on flexible polymer substrates because most of them could not stand such high temperatures(usually>400°C),which will lead to the loss of the substrate functionality.However,the featured phase transition of VO_(2)makes it a promising candidate for future flexible devices,while VO_(2)owns great potential as flexible optical coatings,flexible sensors,flexible electronics,etc.Hence,research on flexible VO_(2)films is necessary and could largely pave the way to the application field of VO_(2)material.In this Account,we start with a brief introduction to phase transition properties of VO_(2)to reveal the intrinsic advantages as key materials in flexible devices.Next,multifunctional devices based on flexible VO_(2)films with different forms and characteristics are presented,including(1)flexible VO_(2)-film-based thermochromic smart windows for energy-saving function depending on the change of environmental temperatures,(2)flexible VO_(2)films optical devices based on the changing emissivity of VO_(2),(3)flexible VO_(2)films with compatibility as multifunctional sensors,(4)next-generation flexible electronics based on VO_(2)films,and(5)flexible VO_(2)actuators with significant mechanical motions under external stimuli.Meanwhile,various fabrication technologies of flexible VO_(2)films have been introduced and discussed.Finally,we end the Account with an overview of the remaining challenges and new opportunities that have been opened up for vanadium dioxide in new forms of flexible optical and electronic devices.We hope this Account will inspire new innovative designs,fabrication approaches,and more possible functions of flexible VO_(2)films in future work. | Tianci Chang Ying Zhu Cuicui Cao Chunlei Yang Hongjie Luo Ping Jin Xun Cao | 2021 | Accounts of Materials Research2021,2,9: | 0 |
