| 1 | Paleogene-Neogene stratigraphic realm and sedimentary sequence of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and their response to uplift of the plateau显示文摘Based on the data of 1:250000 geological mapping completed by CGS and the previous literature of the Cenozoic strata, 98 remnant basins and 5 stratigraphic realms with 13 stratigraphic subrealms have been recognized on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and its adjacent area. | 2 | Porphyrin-like Fe-N4 sites with sulfur adjustment on hierarchical porous carbon for different rate-determining steps in oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘We developed a strategy based on coordination polymer to synthesize singleatom site Fe/N and S-codoped hierarchical porous carbon (Fe1/N,S-PC).The as-obtained Fe1/N,S-PC exhibited superior oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) performance with a half-wave potential (Ev2,0.904 V vs.RHE) that was better than that of commercial Pt/C (E1/2,0.86 V vs.RHE),single-atom site Fe/N-doped hierarchical porous carbon (Fe1/N-PC) without S-doped (E1/2,0.85 V vs.RHE),and many other nonprecious metal catalysts in alkaline medium.Moreover,the Fe1/N,S-PC revealed high methanol tolerance and firm stability.The excellent electrocatalytic activity of Fe1/N,S-PC is attributed to the synergistic effects from the atomically dispersed porphyrin-like Fe-N4 active sites,the heteroatom codoping (N and S),and the hierarchical porous structure in the carbon materials.The calculation based on density functional theory further indicates that the catalytic performance of Fe1/N,S-PC is better than that of Fe1/N-PC owing to the sulfur doping that yielded different rate-determining steps. | Konglin Wu Xin Chen Shoujie Liu Yuan Pan Weng-Chon Cheong Wei Zhu Xing Cao Rongan Shen Wenxing Chen Jun LUO Wensheng Yan Lirong Zheng Zheng Chen Dingsheng Wang Qing Peng Chen Chen Yadong Li | 2018 | Nano Research2018,11,12: | 18 |
| 3 | Sedimentary Evolution of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in Cenozoic and its Response to the Uplift of the Plateau显示文摘We have studied the evolution of the tectonic lithofacies paleogeography of Paleocene-Eocene, Oligocene, Miocene, and Pliocene of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau by compiling data regarding the type, tectonic setting, and lithostratigraphic sequence of 98 remnant basins in the plateau area. Our results can be summarized as follows. (1) The Paleocene to Eocene is characterized by uplift and erosion in the Songpan-Garzê and Gangdisê belts, depression (lakes and pluvial plains) in eastern Tarim, Qaidam, Qiangtang, and Hoh Xil, and the Neo-Tethys Sea in the western and southern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. (2) The Oligocene is characterized by uplift in the Gangdisê-Himalaya and Karakorum regions (marked by the absence of sedimentation), fluvial transport (originating eastward and flowing westward) in the Brahmaputra region (marked by the deposition of Dazhuka conglomerate), uplift and erosion in western Kunlun and Songpan-Garzê, and depression (lakes) in the Tarim, Qaidam, Qiangtang, and Hoh Xil. The Oligocene is further characterized by depressional littoral and neritic basins in southwestern Tarim, with marine facies deposition ceasing at the end of the Oligocene. (3) For the Miocene, a widespread regional unconformity (ca. 23 Ma) in and adjacent to the plateau indicates comprehensive uplift of the plateau. This period is characterized by depressions (lakes) in the Tarim, Qaidam, Xining-Nanzhou, Qiangtang, and Hoh Xil. Lacustrine facies deposition expanded to peak in and adjacent to the plateau ca. 18-13 Ma, and north-south fault basins formed in southern Tibet ca. 13-10 Ma. All of these features indicate that the plateau uplifted to its peak and began to collapse. (4) Uplift and erosion occurred during the Pliocene in most parts of the plateau, except in the Hoh Xil-Qiangtang, Tarim, and Qaidam. The continuous uplift and intensive taphrogeny in the plateau divided the original large basin into small basins, deposition of lacustrine facies decreased considerably, and boulderstone accumulated, indicating a response to the overall uplift of the plateau. Here, we discuss the evolution of tectonic lithofacies paleogeography in Cenozoic and its response to the tectonic uplift of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in relation to the above characteristics. We have recognized five major uplift events, which occurred during 58-53 Ma, 45-30 Ma, 25-20 Ma, 13-7 Ma, and since 5 Ma. | 8 | End-Permian conodont fauna from Dongpan section:Correlation between the deep-and shallow-water facies显示文摘This paper systematically investigated the conodonts from the uppermost Permian to the Lower Triassic at the Dongpan Section, Southern Guangxi, South China, and obtained abundant Late Permian conodonts from the syndepositional limestone lenses of beds 3 and 5-2 at this section. One genus and eight species of conodont P1 element including one new species, Neogondolella dongpanensis sp. nov., have been identified. The feature of conodont fauna indicates that conodonts collected from beds 3 and 5 at the Dongpan Section belong to the Neogondolella yini conodont zone, and correspond to bed 24 at the Meishan Section.
