2A Review of Seasonal Climate Prediction Research in China显示文摘The ultimate goal of climate research is to produce climate predictions on various time scales. In China, efforts to predict the climate started in the 1930 s. Experimental operational climate forecasts have been performed since the late 1950 s,based on historical analog circulation patterns. However, due to the inherent complexity of climate variability, the forecasts produced at that time were fairly inaccurate. Only from the late 1980 s has seasonal climate prediction experienced substantial progress, when the Tropical Ocean and Global Atmosphere project of the World Climate Research program(WCRP) was launched. This paper, following a brief description of the history of seasonal climate prediction research, provides an overview of these studies in China. Processes and factors associated with the climate variability and predictability are discussed based on the literature published by Chinese scientists. These studies in China mirror aspects of the climate research effort made in other parts of the world over the past several decades, and are particularly associated with monsoon research in East Asia. As the climate warms, climate extremes, their frequency, and intensity are projected to change, with a large possibility that they will increase. 3Laparoscopic cystogastrostomy for the treatment of pancreatic pseudocysts: A case report显示文摘Pancreatic pseudocysts(PPs) are collections o pancreatic secretions that are lined by fibrous tissue and may contain necrotic debris or blood. The interventions including percutaneous, endoscopic o surgical approaches are based on the size, location symptoms and complications of a pseudocyst With the availability of advanced imaging system and cameras, better hemostatic equipments and excellent laparoscopic techniques, most pseudocyst can be found and managed by laparoscopy. We describe a case of a 30-year-old male patient with a pancreatic pseudocyst amenable to laparoscopi cystogastrostomy. An incision was made through the anterior gastric wall to expose the posterior gastri wall in close contact with the pseudocyst using an ultrasonically activated scalpel. Then, another incision was made for cystogastrostomy to obtain complete and unobstructed drainage. 4Is tailored therapy based on antibiotic susceptibility effective?A multicenter,open-label,randomized trial显示文摘An effective eradication therapy of Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)should be used for the first time.In this study,we assessed whether tailored therapy based on antibiotic susceptibility testing is more effective than traditional therapy.We also evaluated the factors that cause treatment failure in high-resistance areas.For this multicenter trial,we recruited 467 H.pylori-positive patients.The patients were randomly assigned to receive tailored triple therapy(TATT),tailored bismuth-containing quadruple therapy(TABQT),or traditional bismuthcontaining quadruple therapy(TRBQT).For the TATT and TABQT groups,antibiotic selection proceeded via susceptibility testing using an agar-dilution test.The patients in the TRBQT group were given amoxicillin,clarithromycin,esomeprazole,and bismuth.Successful eradication was defined as a negative 13C-urea breath test at least eight weeks after the treatment ended.Susceptibility testing was conducted using an agar-dilution test.The eradication rate was examined via intention-to-treat(ITT)and per-protocol(PP)analyses.The clarithromycin,levofloxacin,and metronidazole resistance rates were 26.12%,28.69%,and 96.79%,respectively.Resistance against amoxicillin and furazolidone was rare.The eradication rates for TATT,TRBQT,and TABQT were 67.32%,63.69%,and 85.99%in the ITT analysis(P<0.001)and 74.64%,68.49%,and 91.22%in the PP analysis(P<0.001),respectively.The efficacy of TABQTwas affected by clarithromycin resistance,and bismuth exerted a direct influence on TATT failure.TABQT was the most efficacious regimen for use in high-resistance regions,especially among clarithromycin-susceptible patients.Jie Pan Zhengchao Shi Dingsai Lin Ningmin Yang Fei Meng Lang Lin Zhencheng Jin Qingjie Zhou Jiansheng Wu Jianzhong Zhang Youming Li 2020Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,1:10
5Promoting effect of super absorbent polymer on hydrate formation显示文摘The effect of super absorbent polymer(SAP) on the formation of tetrahydrofuran(THF) hydrate was studied by the successional cooling method.It was found that THF solution samples with 0.004 wt% and 0.03 wt% of SAP formed THF hydrate completely during the same cooling process.The corresponding induction time was 16-29 min,14-31 min,respectively,which was obviously shorter than that of THF solution samples without SAP(25-62 min).It indicated that SAP accelerated the formation of THF hydrate.At the same time,the pictures of hydrate formation with and without SAP had been compared.It was found that SAP did not change the morphology of the hydrate.Finally,the mechanism of SAP promoting effect on the formation of THF hydrate was suggested.Fei Long Shuanshi Fan Yanhong Wang Xuemei Lang 2010Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2010,19,3:8
6Autoimmune pancreatitis:report of two cases and literature review显示文摘BACKGROUND:Autoimmune pancreatitis(AIP)is a unique chronic inflammation of the pancreas in which autoimmune mechanisms are involved in the pathogenesis.It is characterized by clinical,histopathological,radiographic,serologic and therapeutic features.Since it was first described in 1995,increasing numbers of AIP patients have been diagnosed.METHODS:In this study,the data from 2 patients with AIP who had elevation of serum immunoglobulin G,positive autoantibody,swelling of the pancreas and narrowing of the main pancreatic duct on imaging were analyzed retrospectively.RESULTS:With the initial diagnosis of AIP,both patients underwent regular prednisone therapy,which was initiated at a dose of 40 mg per day with a tapering schedule of 5 mg every 2 weeks.The patients responded very well to treatment with prednisone.CONCLUSIONS:AIP is a relatively new disease entity.Although it is diagnosed by distinct characteristics of the clinical,radiologic,histopathologic,and serologic findings,many questions require further clarification,including its relationship to other autoimmune diseases and misdiagnosis as pancreaticobiliary malignancies.Sheng, Qin-Song Chen, Da-Zhi Lang, Ren He, Qiang Han, Dong-Dong Pan, Fei Li, Ping Qu, Zhao-Wei 2009Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International2009,8,6:8

8Giant hepatobiliary cystadenoma in a male with obvious convex papillate显示文摘Hepatobiliary cystadenoma is an uncommon lesion that is most often found in middle-aged women and difficult to diagnose preoperatively.Here,we report a case of giant hepatobiliary cystadenoma in a male patient with obvious convex papillate.On the basis of imaging examinations,the patient was diagnosed as hepatobiliary cystadenoma prior to operation. 11The genome of Magnolia biondii Pamp. provides insights into the evolution of Magnoliales and biosynthesis of terpenoids显示文摘Magnolia biondii Pamp.(Magnoliaceae,magnoliids)is a phylogenetically,economically,and medicinally important ornamental tree species widely grown and cultivated in the north-temperate regions of China.Determining the genome sequence of M.biondii would help resolve the phylogenetic uncertainty of magnoliids and improve the understanding of individual trait evolution within the Magnolia genus.We assembled a chromosome-level reference genome of M.biondii using~67,~175,and~154Gb of raw DNA sequences generated via Pacific Biosciences single-molecule real-time sequencing,10X Genomics Chromium,and Hi-C scaffolding strategies,respectively.The final genome assembly was~2.22Gb,with a contig N50 value of 269.11 kb and a BUSCO complete gene percentage of 91.90%.Approximately 89.17%of the genome was organized into 19 chromosomes,resulting in a scaffold N50 of 92.86Mb.The genome contained 47,547 protein-coding genes,accounting for 23.47%of the genome length,whereas 66.48%of the genome length consisted of repetitive elements.We confirmed a WGD event that occurred very close to the time of the split between the Magnoliales and Laurales.Functional enrichment of the Magnolia-specific and expanded gene families highlighted genes involved in the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites,plant–pathogen interactions,and responses to stimuli,which may improve the ecological fitness and biological adaptability of the lineage.Phylogenomic analyses revealed a sister relationship of magnoliids and Chloranthaceae,which are sister to a clade comprising monocots and eudicots.The genome sequence of M.biondii could lead to trait improvement,germplasm conservation,and evolutionary studies on the rapid radiation of early angiosperms.Shanshan Dong Min Liu Yang Liu Fei Chen Ting Yang Lu Chen Xingtan Zhang Xing Guo Dongming Fang Linzhou Li Tian Deng Zhangxiu Yao Xiaoan Lang Yiqing Gong Ernest Wu Yaling Wang Yamei Shen Xun Gong Huan Liu Shouzhou Zhang 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:4
12Influences of Hot-Isostatic-Pressing Temperature on the Microstructure, Tensile Properties and Tensile Fracture Mode of 2A12 Powder Compact显示文摘2A12 aluminum alloy powders were hot-isostatic-pressed(HIPed) at representative temperatures for investigating the variation in microstructure, tensile property and fracture mode of the powder compact. It was found that the microstructure of raw powders changed from a dendrite structure to an equiaxed structure from room temperature to600 ℃. The liquid phase produced by the eutectic reaction in the powder was gradually increased and finally formed a liquid pathway that ran through the entire powder from 490 to 600 ℃. Prior particle boundaries were observed in the powder compacts HIPed at 490 and 520 ℃. The liquid phase in the powder compacts was squeezed into the powder boundaries and the triple points of powder when HIPed at 580 ℃. However, the liquid phase located at the triple points of the powder was forced out and moved toward a small powder particle by HIP pressure under an HIPing temperature of 600 ℃, which led to a decrease in the mechanical properties and relative density. Better comprehensive properties were obtained at HIPing temperatures of 490 and 580 ℃. The low ductility exhibited by the P/M aluminum alloy HIPed at different temperatures was believed to arise from a combination of the existence of oxide film on the powder particle surface and the distribution characteristics of the liquid phase. 13Re-scaling and adaptive stochastic resonance as a tool for weak GNSS signal acquisition显示文摘Weak global navigation satellite system(GNSS) signal acquisition has been a limitation for high sensitivity GPS receivers. This paper modifies the traditional acquisition algorithms and proposes a new weak GNSS signal acquisition method using re-scaling and adaptive stochastic resonance(SR). The adoption of classical SR is limited to low-frequency and periodic signals. Given that GNSS signal frequency is high and that the periodic feature of the GNSS signal is affected by the Doppler frequency shift, classical SR methods cannot be directly used to acquire GNSS signals. Therefore, the re-scaling technique is used in our study to expand its usage to high-frequency signals and adaptive control technique is used to gradually determine the Doppler shift effect in GNSS signal buried in strong noises. The effectiveness of our proposed method was verified by the simulations on GPS L1 signals. 15Genome assembly of the maize inbred line A188 provides a new reference genome for functional genomics显示文摘The current assembled maize genomes cannot represent the broad genetic diversity of maize germplasms.Acquiring more genome sequences is critical for constructing a pan-genome and elucidating the linkage between genotype and phenotype in maize.Here we describe the genome sequence and annotation of A188,a maize inbred line with high phenotypic variation relative to other lines,acquired by single-molecule sequencing and optical genome mapping.We assembled a 2210-Mb genome with a scaffold N50 size of 11.61 million bases(Mb),compared to 9.73 Mb for B73 and 10.2 Mb for Mo17.Based on the B73_Ref Gen_V4 genome,295 scaffolds(2084.35 Mb,94.30%of the final genome assembly)were anchored and oriented on ten chromosomes.Comparative analysis revealed that~30%of the predicted A188 genes showed large structural divergence from B73,Mo17,and W22 genomes,which causes high protein divergence and may lead to phenotypic variation among the four inbred lines.As a line with high embryonic callus(EC)induction capacity,A188 provides a convenient tool for elucidating the molecular mechanism underlying the formation of EC in maize.Combining our new A188 genome with previously reported QTL and RNA sequencing data revealed eight genes with large structural variation and two differentially expressed genes playing potential roles in maize EC induction.Fei Ge Jingtao Qu Peng Liu Lang Pan Chaoying Zou Guangsheng Yuan Cong Yang Guangtang Pan Jianwei Huang Langlang Ma Yaou Shen 2022The Crop Journal2022,10,1:2
16Correlations between microbial communities in stool and clinical indicators in patients with metabolic syndrome显示文摘AIM To analyze the bacterial community structure and distribution of intestinal microflora in people with and without metabolic syndrome and combined these data with clinical indicators to determine relationships between selected bacteria and metabolic diseases. METHODS Faecal samples were collected from 20 patients with metabolic syndrome and 16 controls at Cangnan People's Hospital, Zhejiang Province, China. DNA was extracted and the V3-V4 regions of the 16 S rRNA genes were amplified for high throughput sequencing. Clear reads were clustered at the 97% sequence similarity level. α and β diversity were used to describe the bacterial community structure and distribution in patients. Combined with the clinical indicators, further analysis was performed.RESULTS Bacteroidetes, Firmicutes, Actinobacteria, Proteobacteria, Fusobacteria were the dominant phyla, and Prevotella, Bacteroides and Faecalibacterium was the top three genera in faecal samples. α diversity analysis showed that the species richness of metabolic syndrome samples(group D) was significantly higher than the control(group C)(P < 0.05), and the microbial diversity of group C was greater than that of group D. According to the principal co-ordinates analysis, the samples of group C clustered more tightly, indicating that the distribution of bacteria in healthy patients was similar. The correlation analysis showed that alkaline phosphatase was negatively correlated with the abundance of Prevotella(P < 0.05). There was a negative correlation between low-density lipoprotein and the abundance of Ruminococcus(P < 0.05) and a positive correlation between the high-density lipoprotein and the abundance of Ruminococcus(P < 0.05). The total protein and the alanine aminotransferase was positively correlated with the abundance of Peptostreptococcus(P < 0.05). 17Data-driven fault diagnosis method for analog circuits based on robust competitive agglomeration显示文摘The data-driven fault diagnosis methods can improve the reliability of analog circuits by using the data generated from it. The data have some characteristics, such as randomness and incompleteness, which lead to the diagnostic results being sensitive to the specific values and random noise. This paper presents a data-driven fault diagnosis method for analog circuits based on the robust competitive agglomeration (RCA), which can alleviate the incompleteness of the data by clustering with the competing process. And the robustness of the diagnostic results is enhanced by using the approach of robust statistics in RCA. A series of experiments are provided to demonstrate that RCA can classify the incomplete data with a high accuracy. The experimental results show that RCA is robust for the data needed to be classified as well as the parameters needed to be adjusted. 19Recent insights into aquatic viruses: Emerging and reemerging pathogens, molecular features, biological effects, and novel investigative approaches显示文摘Aquatic viruses are naturally present in the aquatic environment and the number of viruses is staggering.Various multicellular organisms in aquatic ecosystems may be infected,cross-species transmitted,manipulated,and killed by aquatic viruses,which can lead to cascading ecological effects.The viruses in unicellular aquatic organisms can alter interactions between host individuals,and are essential in effecting or maintaining the dynamics of aquatic microbial communities,horizontal gene transfer,biodiversity,and modulating ecological processes globally.Meanwhile,hosts also impact viral abundance and diversity.Microbial diversity drives multifunctionality in ecosystems,while viruses shape complex microbial communities and are crucial for ecosystem functioning.This review focuses on molecular,genetic,evolutionary,and ecosystemic advances related to emerging and reemerging aquatic viruses,presents the contexts,novel tools,and investigative approaches pertaining to the study of aquatic virology,and discusses the mechanisms by which viruses affect aquatic ecosystems.The paper provides an efficient and broadly-based blueprint for improving understanding of aquatic viruses.Qi-Ya Zhang Fei Ke Lang Gui Zhe Zhao 2022Water Biology and Security2022,1,4:1
20Two-Hop Gaussian Relay Channel with Linear Relaying: Achievable Rate and Optimization Design显示文摘The relay node with linear relaying transmits the linear combination of its past received signals.The optimization of two-hop relay channel with linear relaying is discussed in this paper.The capacity for the two-hop Gaussian relay channel with linear relaying is derived,which can be formulated as an optimization problem over the relaying matrix and the covariance matrix of the signals transmitted at the source.It is proved that the solution to this optimization problem is equivalent to a 'single-letter' optimization problem.We also show that the solution to this 'single-letter' optimization problem has the same form as the expression of the rate achieved by Time-Sharing Amplify and Forward(TSAF).In order to solve this equivalent problem,we proposed an iterative algorithm.Simulation results show that if channel gain of one hop is relatively smaller,the achievable rate with TSAF is closer to the max-flow min-cut capacity bound,but at a lower complexity.Deng Zhixiang Wang Baoyun Lang Fei Ma Yayan Liu Chen 2012China Communications2012,9,2:1
