Effects of metabolizable energy and crude protein levels on laying performance, egg quality and serum biochemical indices of Fengda-1 layers显示文摘This study was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary ME and CP levels on laying performance, egg quality and serum biochemical indices of Fengda-1 layers. In a 2 × 3 factorial arrangement, 2,400 Fengda-1 layers(32 wk of age) were randomly assigned to 6 experimental diets with 2,650 and 2,750 kcal of ME/kg of diet, each containing 14.50%, 15.00% and 15.50% CP, respectively. Each dietary treatment was replicated 5 times, and feed and water were provided ad libitum. The trial lasted for 10 wk, including a2-week acclimation period and an 8-week experimental period. Our results showed that ADFI decreased as the ME level of diet increased from 2,650 to 2,750 kcal/kg(P< 0.05). Layers fed diets with 2,750 kcal/kg ME exhibited higher mortality than those fed with 2,650 kcal/kg ME(P < 0.05). Birds fed with 14.50% and15.00% CP had higher egg production(EP) and egg mass(EM) than those fed with 15.50% CP(P < 0.05).Yolk color increased as the ME level of the diet increased from 2,650 to 2,750 kcal/kg, however, the eggshell thickness decreased(P < 0.05). Serum concentrations of uric acid and triglyceride in layers fed diets with 2,750 kcal/kg ME were higher than those fed diets with 2,650 kcal/kg ME(P < 0.05). There was no significant interaction between ME and CP on laying performance, egg quality, or serum biochemical indices(P > 0.05). Based on the data under the experimental conditions, the optimal dietary ME and CP levels of Fengda-1 layers are 2,650 kcal/kg and 15.00%(33 to 41 wk of age). | Yang Ding Xingchen Bu Nannan Zhang Lanlan Li Xiaoting Zou | 2016 | Animal Nutrition2016,,2: | 11
The interaction of CpEBF1 with CpMADSs is involved in cell wall degradation during papaya fruit ripening显示文摘Ethylene plays a pivotal role in climacteric fruit ripening;whereas 1-MCP,a non-toxic antagonist of ethylene, prevents ethylene-dependent responses and fruit ripening. In this study,a short-term treatment(1 h)with 400 nL L^(−1)1-MCP delayed the ripening of harvested papaya.However,long-term application of 1-MCP(400 nL L^(−1),16 h)resulted in abnormal fruit ripening, with the fruits exhibiting normal yellowing without softening, significantly higher cellulose and lignin contents, and intact cell walls(CW).Furthermore,we found that long-term treatment with 1-MCP significantly inhibited the expression of CpEBF1,an EIN3-binding F-box-1 gene.A protein interaction analysis using yeast two-hybrid,BiFC and GST pull-down assays showed that CpEBF1 interacts with the CpMADS1/3 and CpEIL1 proteins. The interaction of CpEBF1 with CpMADS1/3 further activated the activities of CW-degradation gene promoters.Subcellular localization showed that these proteins were localized in the nucleus.Additionally, the expression levels of CpMADS1/3,CpEIL1,and several CW-degradation-related genes were significantly downregulated by long-term 1-MCP treatment. Therefore,we propose that the inhibited expression of CpEBF1 and CpMADS1/3 resulted in the repressed activation of CW-degradation-related genes via their interaction, thereby resulting in fruit softening disorders. | Xiaochun Ding Xiaoyang Zhu Lanlan Ye Shuangling Xiao Zhenxian Wu Weixin Chen Xueping Li | 2019 | Horticulture Research2019,6,1: | 7
Three-dimensional printing for heart diseases: clinical application review显示文摘Heart diseases remain the top threat to human health, and the treatment of heart diseases changes with each passing day.Convincing evidence shows that three-dimensional(3D)printing allows for a more precise understanding of the complex anatomy associated with various heart diseases. In addition,3D-printed models of cardiac diseases may serve as effective educational tools and for hands-on simulation of surgical interventions. We introduce examples of the clinical applications of different types of 3D printing based on specific cases and clinical application scenarios of 3D printing in treating heart diseases. We also discuss the limitations and clinically unmet needs of 3D printing in this context. | Yanyan Ma Peng Ding Lanlan Li Yang Liu Ping Jin Jiayou Tang Jian Yang | 2021 | Bio-Design and Manufacturing2021,4,3: | 3
One-step Synthesis of Shape-controllable Gold Nanoparticles and Their Application in Surface-enhanced Raman Scattering显示文摘Gold nanoparticles(NPs) of various shapes were synthesized by a one-step method at ambient temperature in the presence of NaCI.2-mercaptosuccinic acid(MSA) was used as both reducing agent and stabilizing agent. The shapes of gold NPs were controllable by simply tuning S/Au ratio(S is from MSA molecule, and S/Au ratio is controlled by tuning the volume of added MSA solution),and triangle, polygonal and spherical nanoparticles were obtained. This result suggested a new way to consider the effects of MSA on the growth of nanoparticles, which showed that MSA is a strong capping agent and facilitates more uniform growth of nanoparticles in every dimension. And other important factors on nanoparticles growth including NaCI and temperature were discussed.Furthermore,a typical probe molecule,4-aminothiophenol(4-ATP) was used to test the surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS) activity of these gold NPs and the results indicated good Raman activity on these substrates. And the enhancement factor(EF) at 1078 cm^(-1)(a_1) was estimated to be as large as 6.3×10~4 and 5.5×10~4 for triangular plates and truncated particles, respectively. | Lanlan Sun Dongxu Zhao Meng Ding Haifeng Zhao Zhenzhong Zhang Binghui Li Dezhen Shen | 2013 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2013,29,7: | 1

Arachis species:High-quality forage crops—nutritional properties and breeding strategies to expand their utilization and feeding value显示文摘Plants of the genus Arachis originated from South America and are cultivated worldwide. The genus Arachis contains 83 species and nine intrageneric taxonomic sections. The cultivated peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.)belongs to the Arachis section, the forage peanut(Arachis pintoi Krapov.&W.C.Greg.)belongs to the Caulorrhizae section, and the perennial peanut(Arachis glabrata Benth.)belongs to the Rhizomatosae section. These three peanut species have been developed for use as fodder crops. This review summarizes the forage value of Arachis species.Forage and perennial peanuts can be intercropped with forage species to feed livestock. The cultivated peanut vines and peanut by-products,such as peanut skins and peanut meal, are also high-quality fodder used to feed sheep, cattle, and poultry.A major limiting factor in terms of adopting forage and perennial peanuts as forage crops is their limited resistance to frosts, resulting from their low winter hardiness. Therefore, the feeding value of cultivated peanuts is higher compared to forage and perennial peanuts. This review suggests that Arachis is a suitable forage crop, focusing on their nutritional properties and breeding to increase their performance under cultivation and feeding value. | Hui Song Yafeng Huang Lanlan Ding Zhenquan Duan Jiancheng Zhang | 2023 | Grassland Research2023,2,3: | 0
