1Compositional characteristics of n-alkanes of the glaciers over the Tibetan Plateau and their environmental and climatic significances显示文摘We report on the concentration and compositional features of n-alkanes of natural and anthropogenic origins in the snow samples collected from the Qiyi glacier in the Qilian Mountains, the Yuzhufeng glacier in eastern Kunlun Mountains, the Xiaodongkemadi glacier in the Tanggula Mountains, and the Gurenhekou glacier in the Nyainqêntanglha Range. The results indicate a decrease in the total n-alkane concentration (T-HCs) from the northeast to the south over the Tibetan Plateau. The T-HCs in these studied areas were close to those in the Belukha and Sofiyskiy glacier, Russian Alati Mountains and the Dasuopu glacier in the Himalaya but were much higher than those in the Greenland ice sheet, suggesting that the mountain glaciers in the Asian continent may receive a higher loading of n-alkanes than the Greenland ice core. Moreover, the compositional characteristics of n-alkanes indicated that the n-alkanes in the studied areas were probably originated from the plant waxes as well as the fossil-fuel combustion exhaust, whereas the contribution from the lower organisms was small. In addition, the plant wax (Cn(wax)) and anthropogenic (non-Cn(wax)) contributions revealed that fast industrialization may have significant effects on the organic pollutant composition in glacier over the Tibetan Plateau and its circumference environment. Particularly, except for the Yuzhufeng glacier, the ΣnC21-/ΣnC22+ and (nC15+nC17+nC19)/(nC27+nC29+nC31) ratio decreased from the Qiyi glacier to the Gurenhekou glacier over the Tibetan Plateau, while the carbon preference index (CPI) values increased. These results indicate a decrease in terrigenous input while an increase in marine input from the northeast to the south over the Tibetan Plateau. 2Sources and distribution of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons of different glaciers over the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Twenty snow samples were collected from the Qiyi glacier in Qilian Mountains,the Yuzhufeng glacier in eastern Kunlun Mountains,the Xiaodongkemadi glacier in Tanggula Mountains,and the Gurenhekou glacier in Nyainqêntanglha Range over the Tibetan Plateau.The concentration and distribution features of sixteen priority Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) were determined by gas chromatography equipped with a mass spectrometry detector (GC-MS).The sources of these PAHs were explored as well.Our results indicated that the average concentrations of PAHs in snow were in the range of 20.45 60.57 ng/L.Maximum PAHs levels were found in the YZF glacier andminimum in the XDKMD glacier.However,no apparent regional distribution pattern of PAHs was found in the glaciers over the Tibetan Plateau.Moreover,the 2 4 ring low molecular weight PAHs predominated in snow samples and the concentrations of phenanthrene was the highest.Integrated factor analysis and isomer pair ratios suggested that PAHs of glaciers over the Tibetan Plateau were derived from low temperature combustion of coal and biomass,and partially from the exhaust gas of locomotives.Air mass back trajectory indicated that organic compounds detected in snowpit of these four glaciers,in the period of time they represented,mainly came from Central Asia and the arid area of Northwest China by westerly wind circulation.LI QuanLian WANG NingLian WU XiaoBo PU JianChen HE JianQiao ZHANG ChunWen 2011Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,8:5
3Concentration of trace elements and their sources in a snow pit from Yuzhu Peak, north-east Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau显示文摘In order to understand the potential influence of pollution from human activity on the natural cycle of trace elements in the at- mosphere over the eastern Kunlun mountains, north-eastern part of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, concentrations of Al, Fe, Ba, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Li, Ni, Zn, Pb, Sb, Sr, U and V in a 75 cm-deep snow pit recovered from 5,800 m a.s.l. of the Yuzhu Peak Glacier on October 25, 2009, were determined by a sector field inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. The results indicate that con- centrations of the measured trace elements vary by orders of magnitude from one element to another ranging from the minimum value 1.2 pg/g (U) to the maximum value 293 ng/g (Fe); the value of Max/Min ranges from 7 pg/g (Sd) to 358 pg/g (Li). EFc val- ues of measured trace elements show that there are other important sources except dust for Cd, Sb, Zn, Pb and Cu. Comparison of the concentrations of the measured trace elements with those in other areas in the Tibetan Plateau indicates that trace element con- centrations for Yuzhu Peak are lower than those in east Tianshan and Muztagh Ata (Pamirs). Concentrations of some trace ele- ments are also lower than those in East Rongbuk Glacier. 9Antibody-activated trans-endothelial delivery of mesoporous organosilica nanomedicine augments tumor extravasation and anti-cancer immunotherapy显示文摘Tumor vasculature constitutes a formidable hurdle for the efficient delivery of cancer nanomedicine into tumors.The leverage of passive pathway through inter-endothelial gaps in tumor blood vessels might account for limited extravasation of nanomedicine into tumor microenvironment(TME).Herein,Annexin A1 antibody-installed mesoporous organosilica nanoplatforms carrying immunotherapeutics of anti-PD-L1 antibody(aPD-L1)and Indoximod are developed to target at caveolar Annexin-A1 protein of luminal endothelial cells and to trigger the active trans-endothelial transcytosis of nanomedicine mediated by caveolae.Such strategy enables rapid nanomedicine extravasation across tumor endothelium and relatively extensive accumulation in tumor interstitium.aPD-L1 and Indoximod release from aPD/IND@MON-aANN in a reduction-responsive manner and synergistically facilitate the intratumoral infiltration of cytotoxic T lymphocytes and reverse the immunosuppressive TME,thus demonstrating substantial anti-tumor efficacy in subcutaneous 4T1 breast tumors and remarkable anti-metastatic capacity to extend the survival of 4T1 tumor metastasis model.Moreover,aPD/IND@MON-aANN nanomedicine also exhibits distinct superiority over the combination therapy of free drugs to potently attenuate the progression of urethane-induced orthotopic lung cancers.Collectively,aPD/IND@MON-aANN nanoplatforms with boosted delivery efficiency via antibody-activated trans-endothelial pathway and enhanced immunotherapeutic efficacy provides perspectives for the development of cancer nanomedicines.Tinglei Huang Shuang Li Jianchen Fang Fuli Li Shuiping Tu 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,7:1

14Environmental records of snow pits in Yuzhufeng Glacier and Xiao Dongkemadi Glacier in the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The contents and distribution characteristics of ions, n-alkanes, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in snow pits on the Yuzhufeng (YZF) Glacier and the Xiao Dongkemadi (XDKMD) Glacier are studied. Parameter characteristics and correlation coefficients between ions and two organic compounds are used to explore the possible sources of these chemical compositions. The results indicated that both glaciers are influenced by west wind circulation, but the contents of ions, n-alkanes, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in the YZF Glacier are higher than in the XDKMD Glacier because of differences in geographical position. The ratios of ∑nC 21 - /∑nC 22 + and CPI values (CPI: carbon preference index) indicate that the n-alkanes from natural sources in these two glaciers are mainly derived from higher plants, whereas the contribution from lower organisms was small, also, n-alkanes from anthropogenic sources in the YZF Glacier are higher than in the XDKMD Glacier. 20Intrinsically patterned corrals in monolayer Ag_(5)Se_(2) and selective molecular co-adsorption显示文摘Functionalized two-dimensional(2D)materials play an important role in both fundamental sciences and practical applications.The construction and precise control of patterns at the atomic-scale are necessary for selective and multiple functionalization.Here we report the fabrication of monolayer pentasilver diselenide(Ag_(5)Se_(2)),a new type of intrinsically patterned 2D material,by direct selenization of a Ag(111)surface.The atomic arrangement is determined by a combination of scanning tunneling microscopy(STM),low-energy electron diffraction(LEED),and density-functional-theory(DFT)calculations.Large-scale STM images exhibit a quasi-periodic pattern of stoichiometric triangular domains with a side length of~15 nm and apical offsets.The boundaries between triangular domains are sub-stoichiometric.Deposition of different molecules on the patterned Ag_(5)Se_(2) exhibits selective adsorption behavior.Pentacene molecules preferentially adsorb on the boundaries,while tetracyanoquinodimethane(TCNQ)molecules adsorb both on the boundaries and the triangular domains.By co-depositing pentacene and TCNQ molecules,we successfully construct molecular corrals with pentacene on the boundaries encircling TCNQ molecules on the triangular domains.The realization of epitaxial large-scale and high-quality,monolayer Ag_(5)Se_(2) extends the family of intrinsically patterned 2D materials and provides a paradigm for dual functionalization of 2D materials.Jianchen Lu Shiru Song Shuai Zhang Yang Song Yun Cao Zhenyu Wang Li Huang Hongliang Lu Yu-Yang Zhang Sokrates T.Pantelides Shixuan Du Xiao Lin Hong-Jun Gao 2022Nano Research2022,15,7:0
