| 1 | Current issues in high-resolution earth observation technology显示文摘This paper reviewed the developments of the last ten years in the field of international high-resolution earth observation, and introduced the developmental status and plans for China's high-resolution earth observation program. In addition, this paper expounded the transformation mechanism and procedure from earth observation data to geospatial information and geographical knowledge, and examined the key scientific and technological issues, including earth observation networks, high-precision image positioning, image understanding, automatic spatial information extraction, and focus services. | 2 | Community structure of macrobenthos in coastal water off Rushan, southern Shandong Peninsula, and the relationships with environmental factors显示文摘To understand the present actuality of the marine ecosystem in the southern coastal water region of the Shandong Peninsula and the impact of the global change and the human activities to the marine ecosystem of the region, the macrobenthic community structure was researched based on data from 26 sampling stations carried out on four seasonal cruises from December 2006 to November 2007. The data was analyzed using PRIMER 6.0 and SPSS 15.0 software packages. The results showed that 236 macrobenthic species in total were collected from the research region by the field works. Most of the species belong to Polychaeta (76 species), Mollusca (75) and Crustacea (60). Of which, 33 species were common species by the four cruises. The dominant species were different among the four seasons, however, the polychaete species Nephtys oligobranchia and Sternaspis scutata were always dominant in the four seasons. The abundances and biomasses of the macrobenthos from the research region were variable in the four seasons. The results of CLUSTER and MDS analysis showed that the similarities of macrobenthic structures among the stations were low, most of the similarities were at about 40% of similarity values, only that of two stations were up to 60%. In accordance with the similarity values of the macrobenthic structures, the 26 stations were clustered as six groups at arbitrary similarity level of 30%. The ABC curve indicated that the marcofauna communities in the research region had not been disturbed distinctly. | 5 | Effects of L-3-n-butylphthalide on caspase-3 and nuclear factor kappa-B expression in primary basal forebrain and hippocampal cultures after beta-amyloid peptide 1-42 treatment显示文摘BACKGROUND:L-3-n-butylphthalide(L-NBP) can inhibit phosphorylation of tau protein and reduce the neurotoxicity of beta-amyloid peptide 1-42(Aβ_(1-42)). OBJECTIVE:To observe the neuroprotective effects of L-NBP on caspase-3 and nuclear factor kappa-B(NF-κB) expression in a rat model of Alzheimer's disease. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A cell experiment was performed at the Central Laboratory of Provincial Hospital affiliated to Shandong University between January 2008 and August 2008. MATERIALS:L-NBP(purity>98%) was provided by Shijiazhuang Pharma Group NBP Pharmaceutical Company Limited.Aβ_(1-42),3-[4,5-dimethylthiazolo-2]-2,5 iphenyltetrazolium bromide(MTT),and rabbit anti-Caspase-3 polyclonal antibody were provided by Cell Signaling, USA;goat anti-choactase and rabbit anti-NF-κB antibodies were provided by Santa Cruz,USA. METHODS:Primary cultures were generated from rat basal forebrain and hippocampal neurons at 17 or 19 days of gestation.The cells were assigned into five groups:the control group,the Aβ_(1-42) group(2μmol/ L),the Aβ_(1-42) + 0.1μmol/L L-NBP group,the Aβ_(1-42)+ 1μmol/L L-NBP group,and the Aβ_(1-42)+ 10μmol/L L-NBP group.The neurons were treated with Aβ_(1-42)(2μmol/L) alone or in combination with L-NBP(0.1,1,10μmol/L) for 48 hours.Cells in the control group were incubated in PBS. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Morphologic changes were evaluated using inverted microscopy, viability using the MTT method,and the changes in caspase-3 and NF-κB expression using Western blot. RESULTS:Induction with Aβ_(1-42) for 48 hours caused cell death and soma atrophy,and increased caspase-3 and NF-κB expression(P<0.05).L-NBP blocked these changes in cell morphology, decreased caspase-3 and NF-κB expression(P<0.05),and improved cell viability,especially at the high dose(P<0.05). | 6 | Interannual Variability and Scenarios Projection of Sea Ice in Bohai Sea Part Ⅰ: Variation Characteristics and Interannual Hindcast显示文摘The Bohai Sea is one of the southernmost areas for sea ice formation in the northern hemisphere.Sea ice disasters in this body of water severely affect marine activities and the safety of coastal residents.In this study,we analyze the variation characteristics of the sea ice in the Bohai Sea and establish an annual regression model based on predictable mode analysis method.The results show the following:1)From 1970 to 2018,the average ice grade is(2.6±0.8),with a maximum of 4.5 and a minimum of 1.0.Liaodong Bay(LDB)has the heaviest ice conditions in the Bohai Sea,followed by Bohai Bay(BHB)and Laizhou Bay(LZB).Interannual variation is obvious in all three bays,but the linear decreasing trend is significant only in BHB.2)Three modes are obtained from empirical orthogonal function analysis,namely,single polarity mode with the same sign of anomaly in all of the three bays and strong interannual variability(82.0%),the north–south dipole mode with BHB and LZB showing an opposite sign of anomalies to that in LDB and strong decadal variations(14.5%),and a linear trend mode(3.5%).Critical factors are analyzed and regression equations are established for all the principal components,and then an annual hindcast model is established by synthesizing the results of the three modes.This model provides an annual spatial prediction of the sea ice in the Bohai Sea for the first time,and meets the demand of operational sea ice forecasting. | JIAO Yan HUANG Fei LIU Qingrong LI Ge LI Yaru YU Qingxi ZHAO Yiding | 2020 | Journal of Ocean University of China2020,19,2: | 2 |
| 7 | Design and numerical investigation of swirl recovery vanes for the Fokker 29 propeller显示文摘Swirl recovery vanes(SRVs) are a set of stationary vanes located downstream from a propeller, which may recover some of the residual swirl from the propeller, hoping for an improvement in both thrust and efficiency. The SRV concept design for a scaled version representing the Fokker 29 propeller is performed in this paper, which may give rise to a promotion in propulsive performance of this traditional propeller. Firstly the numerical strategy is validated from two aspects of global quantities and the local flow field of the propeller compared with experimental data, and then the exit flow together with the development of propeller wake is analyzed in detail.Three kinds of SRV are designed with multiple circular airfoils. The numerical results show that the swirl behind the propeller is recovered significantly with Model V3, which is characterized by the highest solidity along spanwise, for various working conditions, and the combination of rotor and vane produced 5.76% extra thrust at the design point. However, a lower efficiency is observed asking for a better vane design and the choice of a working point. | 13 | An investigation of tip vortices unsteady interaction for Fokker 29 propeller with swirl recovery vane显示文摘A numerical study was performed to explore the unsteady interaction between the upstream propeller and the downstream swirl recovery vane(SRV) by transient simulations. Much larger fluctuations of thrust coefficient were observed on the vane, which indicates that the variations of the total efficiency depend mainly on the working performance of the stator. The harmonic loads of the decomposed unsteady blade-surface pressures show that the stator experiences about ten times higher of unsteadiness compared with the rotor. Notable changes appear at the vane leading edge due to the potential disturbance as well as the sweeping effects from the wake of the upstream propeller, whereas more significant unsteadiness occurs at the stator tip region as a result of the interaction between the rotor/stator tip vortices. The visualization of vortex structures addresses that the rotor tip vortex has a dominant effect on the stator tip vortex since the latter one starts right at the impingement location on the vane top in this configuration. Furthermore,a longer and a shorter SRV were investigated based on the original case to explore different interaction patterns for the rotor/stator tip vortices.
