Ferroptosis-based nano delivery systems targeted therapy for colorectal cancer:Insights and future perspectives显示文摘There are limited options for patients who develop liver metastasis from colorectal cancer(CRC),the leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide.Emerging evidence has provided insights into iron deficiency and excess in CRC.Ferroptosis is an iron-dependent form of programmed cell death characterized by aberrant iron and lipid metabolism, which play crucial roles in tumorigenesis, tumor progression, and treatment options.A better understanding of the underlying molecular mechanism of ferroptosis has shed light on the current findings of ferroptosis-based nanodrug targeting strategies, such as driving ferroptosis in tumor cells and the tumor microenvironment, emerging combination therapy and against multidrug resistance.Furthermore, this review highlights the challenge and perspective of a ferroptosis-driven nanodrug delivery system for CRC-targeted therapy.Chu Qiao Haiying Wang Qiutong Guan Minjie Wei Zhenhua Li 2022Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2022,17,5:1
A Brief of Cold Spell Warning Actions of the National Meteorological Center of China Meteorological Administration显示文摘The“Outline for High-Quality Development of Meteorology(2022-2035)”was published by the State Council of the People’s Republic of China in April 2022(1).This publication highlights the essential role of meteorological disaster warnings, particularly cold spell warnings,in preventing and mitigating disasters. The outline also sets forth stricter expectations for enhancing the overall capacity of society in terms of meteorological disaster preparedness and response.Taiyuan Zhang Mengxue Zhang Qiutong Li Yu Lan 2024China CDC weekly2024,6,5:0
Statement on Establishment of Public Health Protection Guideline for Cold Spells—China显示文摘Cold spells are extreme weather events characterized by the invasion of cold air from high latitudes into the middle and low latitudes, resulting in significant cooling.Cold spells have various adverse health effects, including epidermal damage, respiratory tract spasms, respiratory immune abnormalities, acute cardiopulmonary diseases, and exacerbation of urinary and endocrine disorders. In response to the frequent cold spells in recent years.Tiantian Li Qinghua Sun Chen Chen Qing Wang Jie Ban Runmei Ma Yi Zhang Lijun Pan Yuanyuan Liu Qiutong Li Leyao Chang Hanshuo Zhang Yirong Liu Miaoyou Niu Xiangxiang Wei Lin Wang 2024China CDC weekly2024,6,5:0
Calibration of an elastoplastic model of sand liquefaction using the swarm intelligence with a multi-objective function显示文摘According to post-seismic observations, spectacular examples of engineering failures can be ascribed to the occurrence of sand liquefaction, where a sandy soil stratum could undergo a transient loss of shear strength and even behave as a“liquid”.Therefore, correct simulation of liquefaction response has become a challenging issue in geotechnical engineering field. In advanced elastoplastic models of sand liquefaction, certain fitting parameters have a remarkable effect on the computed results. However, the identification of these parameters, based on the experimental data,is usually intractable and sometimes follows a subjective trial-and-error procedure. For this, this paper presented a novel calibration methodology based on an optimization algorithm(particle swarm optimization(PSO))for an advanced elastoplastic constitutive model.A multi-objective function was designed to adjust the global quality for both monotonic and cyclic triaxial simulations. To overcome computational problem probably appearing in simulation of the cyclic triaxial test, two interrupt mechanisms were designed to prevent the particles from wasting time in searching the unreasonable space of candidate solutions. The Dafalias model has been used as an example to demonstrate the main programme. With the calibrated parameters for the HN31 sand, the computed results were highly consistent with the laboratory experiments(including monotonic triaxial tests under different confining pressures and cyclic triaxial tests in two loading modes). Finally,an extension example is given for Ottawa sand F65,suggesting that the proposed platform is versatile and can be easily customized to meet different practical needs.Qiutong Li Zhehao Zhu 2023Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2023,15,3:0
Nanoparticle-mediated synergistic anticancer effect of ferroptosis and photodynamic therapy:Novel insights and perspectives显示文摘Current antitumor monotherapy has many limitations, highlighting the need for novel synergistic anticancer strategies.Ferroptosis is an iron-dependent form of nonapoptotic cell death that plays a pivotal regulatory role in tumorigenesis and treatment.Photodynamic therapy(PDT)causes irreversible chemical damage to target lesions and is widely used in antitumor therapy. However,PDT’s effectiveness is usually hindered by several obstacles, such as hypoxia, excess glutathione(GSH),and tumor resistance.Ferroptosis improves the anticancer efficacy of PDT by increasing oxygen and reactive oxygen species(ROS)or reducing GSH levels, and PDT also enhances ferroptosis induction due to the ROS effect in the tumor microenvironment(TME).Strategies based on nanoparticles(NPs)can subtly exploit the potential synergy of ferroptosis and PDT.This review explores recent advances and current challenges in the landscape of the underlyingmechanisms regulating ferroptosis and PDT,as well as nano delivery system-mediated synergistic anticancer activity. These include polymers, biomimetic materials, metal organic frameworks(MOFs),inorganics, and carrier-free NPs.Finally,we highlight future perspectives of this novel emerging paradigm in targeted cancer therapies.Haiying Wang Chu Qiao Qiutong Guan Minjie Wei Zhenhua Li 2023Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2023,18,4:0
Improved Methods for In-situ Measurement Railway Noise Barrier Insertion Loss显示文摘Many countries which seek to understand the acoustic performance of railway noise barriers have established standards for the conduct of in-situ experiments. However, there are no universally acknowledged receiver positions for the evaluation of the barrier performance,a fact which may be leading to uncertainty over the noise reduction capabilities of available barriers. In terms of the descriptor of the barrier performance, the general recommendation is the A-weighted sound pressure level, although the latter is considered to underestimate low frequencies for railway noise barrier. Thus,in this study, the comparison of receiver positions and the descriptors among existing Chinese,ISO and European standards were investigated.Based upon a combination of diffraction theory and standards,a rearrangement of receiver positions and one-third-octave-band analysis were proposed. In addition,in line with improved methods,an in-situ measurement of insertion loss for a 1.5 mhigh railway noise barrier was designed and conducted. The results of the experiment validate as effective and applicable the new receiver positions. These results also suggest that one-third-octave-band analysis is indispensable.Li Qiutong Duhamel Denis Luo Yanyun Yin Honoré 2018Transactions of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics2018,35,1:0
