3Description of a new species of the genus Uropsilus(Eulipotyphla:Talpidae:Uropsilinae)from the Dabie Mountains,Anhui,Eastern China显示文摘During a terrestrial vertebrate survey of the Dabie Mountains in Anhui Province,eastern China,we collected four Asian shrew mole specimens(hereafter,shrew moles).Based on published literature and comparison with previously collected materials,the four specimens were similar to shrew moles from the mountains of Southwest China;however,no species in this group has been previously recorded from the Dabie Mountains.The genetic and morphological characteristics of the specimens were analyzed,based upon which a new species of shrew mole is described,named Uropsilus dabieshanensis sp.nov.Ting-Li Hu Zhen Xu Heng Zhang Ying-Xun Liu Rui Liao Guang-Dao Yang Ruo-Lei Sun Jie Shi Qian Ban Chun-Lin Li Shao-Ying Liu Bao-Wei Zhang 2021Zoological Research2021,42,3:2

10Willingness to Pay for Measures of Managing the Health Effects of Heat Wave in Beijing,China:a Cross-sectional Survey显示文摘Objective There are evidences that heat wave events cause deaths and emergency cases. This article used the contingent valuation method to find the willingness to pay for the protective measures and investigated the factors that influence the willingness to pay. Methods A cross-sectional face-to-face household survey was completed by 637 urban long-term residents and 591 rural long-term residents aged 15-79 in Beijing, China. Binary logistic regression was used to identify factors that influenced the payment rate or payment amount for the protective measures, including independent variables for district, gender, age, education, income, air conditioner ownership, heat wave experience, and chronic non-communicable disease. Results The payment rate was 41.1% for protective measures provided by the government and 39.5% by measures provided by the market. Most of the respondents were willing to pay 40 CNY per capita annually for measures provided by the government or the market. The factors influencing willingness to pay were district, gender, income, air conditioner ownership, heat wave experience, and chronic non-communicable disease. Conclusion Protective measures for heat waves need to be provided immediately. 14Smooth support vector machine based on circular tangent function显示文摘Support vector machines(SVMs) have been intensively applied in the domains of speech recognition, text categorization, and faults detection. However, the practical application of SVMs is limited by the non-smooth feature of objective function. To overcome this problem, a novel smooth function based on the geometry of circle tangent is constructed. It smoothes the non-differentiable term of unconstrained SVM, and also proposes a circle tangent smooth SVM(CTSSVM). Compared with other smooth approaching functions, its smooth precision had an obvious improvement. Theoretical analysis proved the global convergence of CTSSVM. 17Spatial and Temporal Variation and Trend Analysis of Water Quality in Large Reservoirs in Ji’an City显示文摘Based on the water quality monitoring data of 5 large reservoirs in Ji’an City,Jiangxi Province from 2015-2021,the temporal and spatial variation characteristics and trends of water quality of the reservoirs were analyzed by single-factor evaluation method and seasonal Kendall test to evaluate the trophic status of the reservoirs and explore the influencing factors of characteristic pollutants.The results showed that:①the water quality of the reservoirs was good and could meet the water needs of various functions;②the water quality of the reservoirs had generally changed from bad to good in recent years,indicating that the implementation of“river chief system”has achieved certain results;③Kendall test analysis showed that,except for individual projects which showed an upward trend in water quality,other projects showed no obvious change trend or downward trend,indicating that the water quality of the reservoirs is indeed improving;④the causes of water pollution in reservoir area were further analyzed by exploring the natural and human factors of the characteristic pollutant total phosphorus.It is recommended to strengthen supervision in the later stage to control point and non-point source pollution.MAO Yan ZHANG Jie BAN Lei LANG Fengxiang MIN Xiang NIU Ziqiang ZHOU Yin 2023Journal of Landscape Research2023,15,5:0

19Spectrum sensing based on angular reciprocity in cognitive satellite communication system显示文摘Satellite communication is attracting increasing attention owing to its freedom from geographical constraints.However,its spectrum resources are limited,and it is susceptible to interferences.Therefore,cognitive radio technology can be used to detect and prevent interferences as well as improve spectrum utilization.To improve the spectrum sensing performance,an angle reciprocity-based spectrum sensing(ARSS)scheme is proposed in this study.The scheme exploits the reciprocity between the known beam’s central angle and the unknown signal’s arrival angle,with the reciprocity controlled by the narrow characteristic of the satellite’s beam owing to long-distance propagation.In this scheme,we use the beam’s central angle instead of the signal’s actual angle to process the received signal,and then the processed data are used as the sensing statistics for spectrum sensing.The simulation results show that the proposed ARSS scheme exhibits better satellite spectral sensing performance compared with the energy detector(ED).Jiancun FAN Yong BAN Jie LUO Ying ZHANG Xinmin LUO 2021Science China(Information Sciences)2021,64,8:0
