| 1 | ERA modal identification method for hydraulic structures based on order determination and noise reduction of singular entropy显示文摘Modal parameter has been considered as one of the indices in assessing the working state of hydraulic structures. The method for obtaining the modal parameter indices is crucial for health monitoring of hydraulic structures. Traditionally, model parameters are measured from the prototype dynamic test under the excitation of special equipment. The preparation is time-consuming and the method is difficult to carry out. We propose a method in this paper to denoise, reconstruct, determine the order and identify modal parameters based on singular entropy (SE) of eigenmatrix. It can be used to solve the problem of system eigenmatrix order determination, and to identify the modal order and the characteristics of structures under the working state. Finally, this method is applied to identify the operational modal parameters of Ertan arch dam under different flood discharging states and vibration frequencies of the powerhouse with a two-row placed unit in Lijiaxia hydropower station during the unit halting process. | 3 | Similarity law of fluctuating pressure spectrum beneath hydraulic jump显示文摘Similarity law is the conversion rule between model and prototype, on which a lot of research works have been done, with no agreement reached referring to the similarity law of fluctuating pressure fre- quency spectrum. Experimental data of peak frequency and dominant frequency range of fluctuating pressure spectrum beneath hydraulic jump obtained from serial models of scales 1:1, 1:2 and 1:5 are compared. As a result, similarity law of fluctuating pressure spectrum in the strongly rolling area agrees with the gravity law. As peak frequency and dominant frequencies of fluctuating pressures in hydraulic jump, toe and tail are rather low, and the similarity is often misunderstood to be λf = 1. | 4 | Probabilistic analysis for the response of nonlinear base isolation system under the ground excitation induced by high dam flood discharge显示文摘According to theoretical analysis,a general characteristic of the ground vibration induced by high dam flood discharge is that the dominant frequency ranges over several narrow frequency bands,which is verified by observations from the Xiangjiaba Hydropower Station.Nonlinear base isolation is used to reduce the structure vibration under ground excitation and the advantage of the isolation application is that the low-frequency resonance problem does not need to be considered due to its excitation characteristics,which significantly facilitate the isolation design.In order to obtain the response probabilistic distribution of a nonlinear system,the state space split technique is modified.As only a few degrees of freedom are subjected to the random noise,the probabilistic distribution of the response without involving stochastic excitation is represented by theδfunction.Then,the sampling property of theδfunction is employed to reduce the dimension of the Fokker-PlanckKolmogorov(FPK)equation and the low-dimensional FPK equation is solvable with existing methods.Numerical results indicate that the proposed approach is effective and accurate.Moreover,the response probabilistic distributions are more reasonable and scientific than the peak responses calculated by conventional time and frequency domain methods. | Liang Chao Zhang Jinliang Lian Jijian Liu Fang Li Xinyao | 2017 | Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2017,16,4: | 2 |
| 5 | Eff ect of Cementation on Calcium Carbonate Precipitation of Loose Sand Resulting from Microbial Treatment显示文摘Microbe-induced calcite precipitation is a sustainable improvement technique for sandy soil, which can alter the properties of sand via microbial activity. In this study, we investigated the loose-sand-consolidation eff ect by controlling the injection velocity, bacterial and cementingsolution concentrations, and hold times. The results demonstrate that, as the cyclic batch increases, the utilization rate of the bacterial fl uid increases and both the optical density(OD_(600)) of the bacteria and urease activity decrease. Moreover, it was determined that a 3-h hold time for a 0.5 mol/L cementing solution with a cementing fl uid velocity of 2 mL/min has the greatest bonding eff ect.
