2Catalysis under shell: Improved CO oxidation reaction confined in Pt@h-BN core-shell nanoreactors显示文摘Core-shell nanostructures consisting of active metal cores and protective shells often exhibit enhanced catalytic performance, in which reactants can access a small part of the core surfaces through the pores in the shells. In this study, we show that Pt nanoparticles (NPs) can be embedded into few-layer hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) overlayers, forming Pt@h-BN core-shell nanocatalysts. The h-BN shells not only protect the Pt NPs under harsh conditions but also allow gaseous molecules such as CO and O2 to access a large part of the Pt surfaces through a facile intercalation process. As a result, the Pt@h-BN nanostructures act as nanoreactors, and CO oxidation reactions with improved activity, selectivity, and stability occur at the core-shell interfaces. The confinement effect exerted by the h-BN shells promotes the Pt-catalyzed reactions. 3Scalable and fast fabrication of graphene integrated micro-supercapacitors with remarkable volumetric capacitance and flexibility through continuous centrifugal coating显示文摘Microscale electrochemical energy storage devices,e.g., micro-supercapacitors(MSCs),possessing tailored performance and diversified form factors of lightweight,miniaturization,flexibility and exceptional integration are highly necessary for the smart power sources-unitized electronics.Despite the great progress,the fabrication of MSCs combining high integration with high volumetric performance remains largely unsolved.Herein,we develop a simple,fast and scalable strategy to fabricate graphene based highly integrated MSCs by a new effective continuous centrifugal coating technique.Notably,the resulting highly conductive graphene films can act as not only patterned microelectrodes but also metal-free current collectors and interconnects,endowing modular MSCs with high integrity,remarkable flexibility,tailored voltage and capacitance output,and outstanding performance uniformity.More importantly,the strong centrifugal force and shear force generated in continuous centrifugal coating process lead to graphene films with high alignment,compactness and packing density,contributing to excellent volumetric capacitance of ~31.8 F cm^(-3) and volumetric energy density of ~2.8 mWh cm^(-3),exceeding most reported integrated MSCs.Therefore,our work paves a novel way for simple and scalable fabrication of integrated MSCs and offers promising opportunities as standalone microscale power sources for new-generation electronics.Xiaoyu Shi Lijun Tian Sen Wang Pengchao Wen Ming Su Han Xiao Pratteek Das Feng Zhou Zhaoping Liu Chenglin Sun Zhong-Shuai Wu Xinhe Bao 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,1:3

5Soil microbial community assemblage and its seasonal variability in alpine treeline ecotone on the eastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau显示文摘The alpine treeline ecotone is characterized as the upper limit of the forest in the high-mountain ecosystem.Due to the freeze-thaw cycles,the soil organism community,such as microbial communities are expected to change between seasons.However,there are limited microbialcommunity studies focused on the high altitude alpine ecosystem.We conducted a study in the alpine treeline ecotone on the eastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,China,and investigated the seasonal variability of the soil microbial community.We collected all soil samples within the alpine treeline ecotone,between the treeline and timberline in the high-mountain region.The 16S rRNA genes of the microbial communities(bacterial and archaeal)were analyzed by highthroughput sequencing to the genus level.The results showed that soil microbial community in the alpine treeline ecotone was consistently dominated by eight phyla which consisted of 95% of the total microbial community,including Proteobacteria,Actinobacteria,Acidobacteria,Firmicutes,Planctomycetes,Chloroflexi,Bacteroidetes,and Verrucomicrobia.The overall diversity and evenness of the community were relatively stable,with an average of 0.5% difference between seasons.The highest seasonal variability occurred at the upper boundary of the alpine treeline ecotone,and few or almost no seasonal change was observed at lower elevations,indicating dense forest cover and litter deposition might have created a local microclimate that reduced seasonal variation among the surrounding environmental conditions.Our study was one of the first group that documented the microbial community assemblage in the treeline ecotone on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.Li Kui Hui Sun Qian Lei Wei Gao Lijun Bao Yuexi Chen Zhongjun Jia 2019Soil Ecology Letters2019,1,1:2
6Control of de novo root regeneration efficiency by developmental status of Arabidopsis leaf explants显示文摘De novo root regeneration(DNRR) has wide applications in agriculture such as those related to cutting technology. Detached Arabidopsis thaliana leaf explants can regenerate adventitious roots without added hormones. The regenerative ability is highly dependent on the developmental status of the leaf. An immature leaf has a higher regenerative ability, while a mature leaf is difficult to regenerate. Using RNASeq analysis, we showed that the expression levels of many genes, including those in the auxin network,changed during leaf maturation. Particularly, the expression levels of many YUCCA(YUC) genes in the auxin biosynthesis pathway are responsive to leaf maturation. Overexpression of YUC1 in the yuc-1 D dominant mutant rescued the rooting defects caused by leaf maturation. In addition, YUC4 expression levels were also affected by circadian rhythms. The regenerative ability was reduced in both immature and mature mutant leaf explants from the new wuschel-related homeobox 11-3(wox11-3) and wox12-3 mutant alleles created by the CRISPR/Cas9 method. Overall, the transcriptome and genetic data, together with the auxin concentration analysis, indicate that the ability to upregulate auxin levels upon detachment may be reduced during leaf maturation. 7Changes in chemical composition,structural and functional microbiome during alfalfa(Medicago sativa)ensilage with Lactobacillus plantarum PS-8显示文摘Improving silage production by adding exogenous microorganisms not only maximizes nutrient preservation,but also extends product shelf life.Herein,changes in the quality and quantity of Lactobacillus plantarum PS-8(PS-8)-inoculated alfalfa(Medicago sativa)during silage fermentation were monitored at d 0,7,14,and 28(inoculum dose of PS-8 was 1105 colony forming units[cfu]/g fresh weight;50 kg per bag;10 bags for each time point)by reconstructing metagenomic-assembled genomes(MAG)and Growth Rate InDex(GRiD).Our results showed that the exogenous starter bacterium,PS-8 inoculation,became the most dominating strain by d 7,and possibly played a highly active role throughout the fermentation process.The pH value of the silage decreased greatly,accompanied by the growth of acidproducing microorganisms namely PS-8,which inhibited the growth of harmful microorganisms like molds(4.18 vs.1.42 log cfu/g)and coliforms(4.95 vs.0.66 log most probable number[MPN]/g).The content of neutral detergent fiber(NDF)decreased significantly(41.6%vs.37.6%;dry matter basis).In addition,the abundance and diversity of genes coding microbial carbohydrate-active enzymes(CAZymes)increased significantly and desirably throughout the fermentation,particularly the genes responsible for degrading starch,arabino-xylan,and cellulose.Overall,our results showed that PS-8 was replicating rapidly and consistently during early-and mid-fermentation phases,promoting the growth of beneficial lactic acid bacteria and inhibiting undesirable microbes,ultimately improving the quality of silage.Lijun You Weichen Bao Caiqing Yao Feiyan Zhao Hao Jin Weiqiang Huang Bohai Li Lai-Yu Kwok Wenjun Liu 2022Animal Nutrition2022,,2:2

16Particle motion behavior during gasiication of foam carrier in lost foam-squeeze casting of 20%TiC/ZG270-500 composites显示文摘The particle motion behavior affects the distribution of particles in the metal matrix and finally determines the mechanical properties of the particle reinforced metal-matrix composites. To obtain a uniform distribution of TiC particles and excellent strengthening effect in 20%TiC/ZG270-500 composites fabricated by lost foam-squeeze casting(LFSC), the particle motion behavior in the gas gap and the conditions of the particles getting into the molten steel were investigated. The results show that the airflow velocity(v1) and TiC particle motion velocity(uP) change little with the pouring temperature(TP), increase with an increase in metal filling velocity(vP), ratios of cross sections of in-gate/orifice(AP/A0) and orifice/mould cavity(A0/A1), but the increase trend of u P is more intense. The airflow pressure(P1) changes little with TP and A0/A1, but increases with the increasing of vP and AP/A0. Besides, there is a critical velocity(+|3yLGcosθ/ρpdp|1/2) for the particles getting into the molten steel. The higher the particle motion velocity, the easier the particles get into the molten steel and the more uniform the distribution of the particles in the steel matrix. When TP = 1,873 K, vP = 30 mm·s-1, AP/A0 =10 and A0/A1 = 0.02 in this study, the biggest TiC particle motion velocity(20.59 m·s-1) can be gained, and the steel matrix with the most uniformly distributed TiC particles and fine grains are obtained.Bin Shibo Xing Shuming Guo Lijun Bao Peiwei 2013China Foundry2013,10,6:1

20Prevalence and risk factors of cardiovascular diseases and psychological distress among female scientists and technicians显示文摘This study aimed to explore the prevalence and risk factors of cardiovascular disease(CVD)and psychological distress among female scientists and technicians in China.Accordingly,we included scientists and technicians from representative research institutions,medical institutions,colleges,universities,and businesses in China,and the data were collected from July 1,2019 to March 31,2021 via online questionnaires.The parameters evaluated in this study included age,sex,marital status,educational background,monthly income,sleep hours,sleep problems,smoking,alcohol consumption,work-related stress,work burnout,cardiovascular symptoms,CVD,family history,and depressive and anxiety symptoms.A total of 14530 scientists and technicians were included,comprising 7144 men and 7386 women.We found 34.9%men and 16.6%women with CVD,35.1%men and 21.4%women with depressive symptoms,28.7%men and 13.8%women with anxiety symptoms,and 22.0%men and9.5%women with CVD combined with depressive or anxiety symptoms.This study focused on the details of women.Younger women(age≤35 years)had the highest prevalence of depressive symptoms(24.9%),anxiety symptoms(16.2%),and comorbidity(11.2%).It was established that,despite traditional risk factors,unmanageable work burnout,depressive symptoms,and anxiety symptoms were associated with a higher risk of CVD in women;insomnia,overwhelming work stress,unmanageable work burnout,and CVD were linked to a higher risk of depressive symptoms and anxiety;insomnia,overwhelming work stress,and unmanageable work burnout were related to CVD combined with depressive or anxiety symptoms.A bidirectional relationship was noted between CVD and depression or anxiety in female scientists and technicians,and insomnia and overwhelming work stress were positively associated with comorbidity.It is suggested that effective measures should be taken to protect female scientists and technicians from CVD and psychological distress.Lijun ZHANG Yanping BAO Guo LI Shuhui TAO Meiyan LIU 2022Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2022,23,12:1
