1Achieving highly uniform two-dimensional PbI2 flakes for photodetectors via space confined physical vapor deposition显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D) PbI_2 flakes have been attracting intensive attention as one potential candidate for the modern optoelectronics. However, suffered from the instability of kinetics-driven growth, the fabricated 2D PbI_2 flakes have a wide dimensional distribution even under the same conditions. Herein, a novel facile space confined physical vapor deposition(PVD) process is provided to synthesize uniform triangle PbI_2 flakes with high quality. The confined space provides a relatively stable growth environment that renders more control on the growth kinetics, leading to highly uniform triangle PbI_2 flakes with the average size of 5 mm and thickness of 17 nm. Moreover, as-fabricated PbI_2-based photodetectors show promising stable and flexible optoelectronic performances to 470 nm light, including high responsivity(0.72 AW^(-1)), large on/off ratio up to 900, fast photoresponse speed(rise time of 13.5 ms and decay time of 20 ms) and high detectivity(1.04×10^(10) Jones). 2Output of an Ultrasonic Wave-Driven Nanogenerator in a Confi ned Tube显示文摘The output of an ultrasonic wave-driven nanogenerator(NG)has been found to depend on the excitation conditions and geometry.Incidence angle tests indicate that the effective area of an NG determines the amount of power that can be generated.The output power of an NG is also directly related to its distance from the ultrasonic source.A sinusoidal profile of the electrical output was observed when an NG was moved inside a long tube filled with water with the ultrasonic source located at one end.This is due to the oscillation of the wave intensity inside the tube as a function of the distance from the excitation source.Xudong Wang Yifan Gao Yaguang Wei Zhong Lin Wang 2009Nano Research2009,2,3:3
3Cyclin G2,a novel target of sulindac to inhibit cell cycle progression in colorectal cancer显示文摘Sulindac has shown significant clinical benefit in preventing colorectal cancer pro-gression,but its mechanism of action has not been fully elucidated.We have found that sulin-dac sulfide(SS)is able to inhibit cell cycle progression in human colorectal cancer cells,particularly through G1 arrest.To understand the underlying mechanisms of sulindac inhibitory activity,we have demonstrated that Cyclin G2 up-regulation upon SS treatment can substan-tially delay cell cycle progression by enhancing the transcriptional activity of FOXO3a in human colorectal tumor cells.MiR-182,an oncogenic microRNA known to inhibit FOXO3a gene expres-sion,is also involved in the suppressive effect of SS on cell cycle progression.This process be-gins with the down-regulation of miR-182,followed by the enhancement of FOXO3a transcriptional activity and the up-regulation of Cyclin G2.To further determine the clinical utility of this axis,we analyzed the expression of miR-182/FOXO3a/Cyclin G2 in human colo-rectal tumor samples.Our results show not only that there are significant dfferences in miR-182/FOXO3a/Cyclin G2 between tumors and normal tissues,but also that the synergetic effect of miR-182 and FOXO3a is associated with predicting tumor progression.Our study dem-onstrates a novel mechanistic axis consisting of miR-182/FOXO3a/Cyclin G2 that mediates su-lindac inhibition of cell cycle progression.Hongyou Zhao Bin Yi Zhipin Liang Ches’Nique Phillips Hui-Yi Lin Adam I.Riker Yaguang Xi 2021Genes & Diseases2021,8,3:2
4HTR2A agonists play a therapeutic role by restricting ILC2 activation in papain-induced lung inflammation显示文摘Group 2 innate lymphoid cells(ILC2s)are a category of heterogeneous cells that produce the cytokines IL-5 and IL-13,which mediate the type 2 immune response.However,specific drug targets on lung ILC2s have rarely been reported.Previous studies have shown that type 2 cytokines,such as IL-5 and IL-13,are related to depression.Here,we demonstrated the negative correlation between the depression-associated monoamine neurotransmitter serotonin and secretion of the cytokines IL-5 and IL-13 by ILC2s in individuals with depression.Interestingly,serotonin ameliorates papain-induced lung inflammation by suppressing ILC2 activation.Our data showed that the serotonin receptor HTR2A was highly expressed on ILC2s from mouse lungs and human PBMCs.Furthermore,an HTR2A selective agonist(DOI)impaired ILC2 activation and alleviated the type 2 immune response in vivo and in vitro.Mice with ILC2-specific depletion of HTR2A(Il5^(cre/+)·Htr2a^(flox/flox)mice)abolished the DOI-mediated inhibition of ILC2s in a papain-induced mouse model of inflammation.In conclusion,serotonin and DOI could restrict the type 2 lung immune response,indicating a potential treatment strategy for type 2 lung inflammation by targeting HTR2A on ST2+ILC2s.Zhishuo Wang Chenghua Yan Qizhen Du Yuying Huang Xuezhen Li Dan Zeng Ruizhi Mao Rama Krishna Gurram Shipeng Cheng Wangpeng Gu Lin Zhu Weiguo Fan Liyan Ma Zhiyang Ling Ju Qiu Dangsheng Li Enmei Liu Yaguang Zhang Yiru Fang Jinfang Zhu Bing Sun 2023Cellular & Molecular Immunology2023,20,4:1

7Computational fluid dynamics simulation of a novel bioreactor forsophorolipid production显示文摘This paper describes three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics(CFD) simulations of gas–liquid flow in a novel laboratory-scale bioreactor contained dual ventilation-pipe and double sieve-plate bioreactor(DVDSB)used for sophorolipid(SL) production. To evaluate the role of hydrodynamics in reactor design, the comparisons between conventional fed-batch fermenter and DVDSB on the hydrodynamic behavior are predicted by the CFD methods. Important hydrodynamic parameters of the gas–liquid two-phase system such as the liquid phase velocity field, turbulent kinetic energy and volume-averaged overall and time-averaged local gas holdups were simulated and analyzed in detail. The numerical results were also validated by experimental measurements of overall gas holdups. 8Nonlinear modal electromechanical coupling factor for piezoelectric structures containing nonlinearities显示文摘Within the linear framework,the Modal Electromechanical Coupling Factor(MEMCF)is an important indicator to quantify the dynamic conversion of mechanical energy and electrical energy of piezoelectric structures.It is also an important tool to guide the piezoelectric damping design of linear structures.Advanced aircraft often fly in maneuvers,and the variable working conditions induce drastic changes in the load level on structures.Geometric and contact nonlinearities of thin-walled structures and joint structures are often activated.To achieve a good vibration reduction effect covering all working conditions,one cannot directly use linear electromechanical coupling theory to instruct the piezoelectric damping design for nonlinear structures.Therefore,this paper defines the Nonlinear Modal Electromechanical Coupling Factor(NMEMCF)and proposes the corresponding numerical method for the first time to quantitatively evaluate the electromechanical coupling capability of nonlinear piezoelectric structures.Three candidate definitions of the NMEMCF are given,including two frequency definitions and one energy definition.The energy definition is the most promising one.It is not only applicable to both conservative and dissipative nonlinear structures but also compatible with the linear MEMCF.In addition,based on the energy formula,the NMEMCF can be obtained by only performing one nonlinear modal analysis in the open-circuit state.The analytical findings and the numerical tool are validated against two piezoelectric structures with different types of nonlinearities.A strong correlation among the NMEMCF,geometric parameters,and energy dissipation is observed.The results confirm that the proposed NMEMCF captures the physics of the electromechanical coupling phenomenon associated with nonlinear piezoelectric structures and can be used as an essential design indicator of piezoelectric damping,especially for variable working conditions.Yaguang WU Yu FAN Lin LI 2023Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,2:0
9Mechanism of interconnected synchronized switch damping for vibration control of blades显示文摘The Synchronized Switch Damping(SSD)is regarded as a promising alternative to mitigate the vibration of thin-walled structures in aero-engines,especially for blades or bladed disks.The common manner is to shunt the switch circuit independently to a single piezoelectric structure.This paper is aimed at exploring a novel way of using the SSD,i.e.,the SSD is interconnected between two piezoelectric structures or substructures.The damping mechanism,performance,and effective range of the interconnected SSD are studied numerically and experimentally.First,based on a dual cantilever beam finite element model,the time domain and frequency domain modeling and solving methods of the interconnected SSD are deduced and validated.Then,the influence of the amplitude and phase relationship on the damping effect of the interconnected SSD is numerically studied and compared with the shunted SSD.A self-sensing SSD control board is developed,and experimental studies are carried out.The results show that the interconnected SSD establishes an additional energy channel between the corresponding piezoelectric structures.When the amplitudes of the two cantilever beams are different,the interconnected SSD balances the vibration level of each beam.When the amplitudes of the two cantilever beams are the same,if the appropriate interconnection manner is selected according to the phase,the resonance peak can be reduced by more than 30%.When the vibration is in-phase/out-of-phase,the damping generated by the interconnected SSD in a cross/parallel manner is even more significant than the shunted SSD.Furthermore,this novel connection scheme reduces the number of SSD circuits in half.Finally,for engineering applications,we implement the proposed damping technology to the finite element model of a typical dummy bladed disk.A piezoelectric damping ratio of 13.7%is achieved when the amount of piezo material is only 10%of blade mass.Compared with traditional friction dampers,the major advancements of the interconnected SSD are:(A)it can reduce the vibration level of blades without friction interface;(B)the space constraint is overcome,i.e.,the vibration energy is not necessarily dissipated independently in one sector or through physically adjacent blades,and instead,the dissipation and transfer of vibrational energy can be realized between any blade pair.If a specific gating circuit is adopted to adjust the interconnection manner of the SSD,vibration mitigation under variable working conditions with different engine orders will be expected;(C)designers do not need to worry about the annoying nonlinearities related to working conditions anymore.Yu FAN Yu HU Yaguang WU Lin LI 2023Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,8:0
