Intelligent Predetermination of Generator Tripping Scheme: Knowledge Fusion-based Deep Reinforcement Learning Framework显示文摘Generator tripping scheme(GTS)is the most commonly used scheme to prevent power systems from losing safety and stability.Usually,GTS is composed of offline predetermination and real-time scenario match. However,it is extremely time-consuming and labor-intensive for manual predetermination for a large-scale modern power system. To improve efficiency of predetermination, this paper proposes a framework of knowledge fusion-based deep reinforcement learning(KF-DRL)for intelligent predetermination of GTS.First, the Markov Decision Process(MDP)for GTS problem is formulated based on transient instability events. Then, linear action space is developed to reduce dimensionality of action space for multiple controllable generators.Especially,KF-DRL leverages domain knowledge about GTS to mask invalid actions during the decision-making process. This can enhance the efficiency and learning process. Moreover, the graph convolutional network(GCN)is introduced to the policy network for enhanced learning ability.Numerical simulation results obtained on New England power system demonstrate superiority of the proposed KF-DRL framework for GTS over the purely data-driven DRL method. | Lingkang Zeng Wei Yao Ze Hu Hang Shuai Zhouping Li Jinyu Wen Shijie Cheng | 2024 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2024,10,1: | 0
Vertical crustal deformation velocity and its influencing factors over the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau based on satellite gravity data显示文摘The uplift of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau(TP)strongly influences climate change, both regionally and globally.Surface observation data from this region have limited coverage and are difficult to obtain.Consequently, the vertical crustal deformation velocity(VCDV)distribution of the TP is poorly constrained. In this study, the VCDV from the TP was inverted by using data from the gravity recovery and climate experiment(GRACE).We were able to obtain the vertical crustal movement by deducting the hydrological factors, based on the assumption that the gravity signal detected by GRACE is mainly composed of hydrological factors and vertical crustal movement. From the vertical crustal movement,we inverted the distribution of the VCDV across the TP.The results showed that the VCDV of the southern, eastern, and northern TP is~1.1 mm/a,~0.5 mm/a,and−0.1 mm/a,respectively,whereas that of the region between the Qilian Haiyuan Fault and the Kunlun Fault is~0.0 mm/a.These results are consistent with the distribution of crustal deformation, thrust earthquakes and faults, and regional lithospheric activity. The hydrology, crustal thickness, and topographic factors did not change the overall distribution of the VCDV across the TP.The influence of hydrological factors is marked, with the maximum differences being approximately−0.4 mm/a in the northwest and 1.0 mm/a in the central area. The results of this study are significant for understanding the kinematics of the TP. | HuRong Duan JunGang Guo LingKang Chen JiaShuang Jiao HeTing Jian | 2022 | Earth and Planetary Physics2022,6,4: | 0
Electron Transfer Chain Catalysis显示文摘Electron-transfer chain (ETC) catalysis belongs to the family of chain reactions where the electron is the catalyst. The ETC mechanism could be initiated by chemical activation, electrochemistry, or photolysis. If this pathway is applied to the preparation of organometallic complexes, it utilizes the greatly enhanced reactivity of organometallic 17e and 19e radicals. The chemical propagation is followed by the cross electron-transfer while the electron-transfer step is also followed by the chemical propagation, creating a loop in which reactants are facilely transformed into products. Interestingly the overall reaction is without any net redox change. | LIU LingKang | 2001 | Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2001,17,z1: | 0
Spreading fully at the ice-water interface is required for high ice recrystallization inhibition activity显示文摘Although materials for ice recrystallization inhibition(IRI) are essential for the cryopreservation of cells and tissues, there exists no guiding mechanism for the design of such materials. Therefore, the construction of materials for IRI relies on the try-and-error strategy. Herein, through changing the tacticity of hydroxyl groups on poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA) backbones with the affinities of PVAs to ice unchanged, we experimentally find IRI activity decreases significantly for isotactic PVA in comparison to that of atactic PVA. Molecular dynamics simulation shows atactic PVA spreads fully at the ice-water interface due to its much stronger interaction with water. This indicates atactic PVA can cover more ice surface and possess a higher IRI activity when the same amount of PVAs are used, which is consistent with the results that PVA can cover the same amount of ice surface more efficiently through experimentally measuring the adsorption of PVAs on the ice surface. A guiding mechanism of high active IRI materials can be obtained: only having affinity to ice is not enough to obtain high IRI activity(i.e., only small amount of materials is required to reduce the size of ice crystals to ca.(35±10)μm), IRI agents must also have high affinity to water, i.e., low interfacial energies, to both ice and water. The former is to guarantee the adsorption of the IRI agent on the ice surface, and the latter is required for the IRI agent to spread sufficiently at the ice-water interface. Therefore, each IRI molecule can effectively block the diffusion of water onto the ice surface, and consequently inhibits the growth of ice. A spreading coefficient of IRI agents is therefore introduced to quantitatively assess the capability of IRI agents to spread at the ice-water interface. | Shenglin Jin Lingkang Yin Bin Kong Shuwang Wu Zhiyuan He Han Xue Zhang Liu Qi Cheng Xin Zhou Jianjun Wang | 2019 | Science China Chemistry2019,62,7: | 0
Free vibration of thermo-elastic microplate based on spatiotemporal fractional-order derivatives with nonlocal characteristic length and time显示文摘A fractional-order thermo-elastic model taking into account the small-scale effects of the thermo-elastic coupled behavior is developed to study the free vibration of a higher-order shear microplate. The nonlocal strain gradient theory is modified with the introduction of the fractional-order derivatives and the nonlocal characteristic length. The Fourier heat conduction is replaced by the non-Fourier heat conduction with the introduction of the fractional order and the memory characteristic time.Numerical calculations are performed to analyze the effects of the nonlocal strain gradient parameters, the spatiotemporal fractional order, the nonlocal characteristic length, and the memory characteristic time on the natural frequencies, the vibration attenuation, and the phase shift between the temperature field and the displacement field. The numerical results show that the new thermo-elastic model with the spatiotemporal fractional order can provide more exquisite descriptions of the thermo-elastic behavior at a small scale. | Lingkang ZHAO Peijun WEI Yueqiu LI | 2023 | Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2023,44,1: | 0
Analysis and Optimization of Key Dimensions of Co-Axial Dual-Mechanical-Port Flux-Switching Permanent Magnet Machines for Fuel-Based Extended Range Electric Vehicles显示文摘In this paper, key dimensions of a co-axial dual-mechanical-port flux-switching permanent magnet(CADMP-FSPM)machine for fuel-based extended range electric vehicles(ER-EVs),including split ratio,stator/rotor pole arcs, rotor yoke thickness, etc.,are analyzed and optimized.Firstly, the topologies and operation principles of an exampled 3-phase CADMP-FSPM are introduced briefly,in which an inner-rotor FSPM machine with 12-stator-slots/10-rotor-poles for high-speed generation and an outer-rotor FSPM machine with 12-stator-slots/22-rotor-poles for low-speed motoring are assembled co-axially.Then,the relationship between the key dimensions and electromagnetic performance, particularly for electromagnetic torque(power),of the CADMP-FSPM machine is studied by 2D-finite element analysis(FEA).Further, the reasonable matches of split ratio,rotor/stator pole arcs and rotor yoke are determined and the original CADMP-FSPM machine is optimized correspondingly. Finally, the static characteristics, including no-load PM flux-linkage,electro-motive-force(EMF),winding inductances, cogging torques and electromagnetic torques,of the original and optimized machines are compared by 2D-FEA.The results verify that the optimized CADMP-FSPM machine can exhibit improved torque characteristics than the original one,i.e.,the torque ripples of the inner and outer machines can be reduced by 22.7%and 4.7%,respectively,and the average torque of the inner and outer machines can be increased by 0.43Nm and 2Nm,respectively. | Lingkang Zhou Wei Hua Ming Cheng | 2017 | CES Transactions on Electrical Machines and Systems2017,1,3: | 0
The Phytolith and Pollen Record since 10 ka BP from the Lhasa Region, Tibet显示文摘This paper presents a description of the river terrace at Tangjia Village in Lhasa, Tibet. Selected types of phytolith and pollen were used as proxies to study the paleoclimate in the study area. Ancient climate and vegetation changes since 10 ka BP were examined. The results demonstrated that between 10.2 and 8.9 ka BP, the dominating phytolith was the cold type and the dominating vegetation type was grassland-forest. This indicated that the climate changed from cool-humid to cool-dry and later turned back into a cool-humid climate. Between 8.9 and 8.1 ka BP,the main types of phytoliths were tooth, dumbbell, and polyhedral. This suggests that the vegetation consisted of forest-grassland and the period's climate had become warmer. Between 8.1 and 6.7 ka BP, the warm index of phytolith assembelage gradually increased, whereas the spore and pollen assembelage revealed that the vegetation was forest with hardwood. This suggested that the paleoclimate was warmest in this period. The herbaceous vegetation increased gradually, indicating that the climate had become colder since 7.5 ka BP. Between 6.7 and 4.6 ka BP, cold type phytolith such as tooth and cap were found. Simultaneously, the pollen assembelage indicated that the vegetation shifted from grassland to forest and then turned back into grassland. This implies that the climate fluctuated from cold-dry to cool- humid. Between 4.6 and 1.9 ka BP,the dominate type of phytolith was cold type and its warm index was in the range 0.04-0.28, suggesting a herbaceous vegetation cover and indicating that the climate was cold. The phytolith warm index from 1.9 ka BP revealed that the climate was continuously decreasing, and most of the pollen assembelage consisted of Chenopodiaceae and Artemisia. This conclusion is in agreement with the phytolith result that indicates that the climate was becoming colder and colder. | CHEN Lingkang CHEN Haixia WANG Baodi WU Kaixing YU Jianxin GU Yansheng RUAN Linsen XIA Baoben XIN Zhonglei | 2013 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2013,87,2: | 0
