1Simulation of CO_2 variations at Chinese background atmospheric monitoring stations between 2000 and 2009: Applying a CarbonTracker model显示文摘We carried out a downscaling treatment over China using the CarbonTracker numerical model,which was applied using double grid nesting technology(3°×2°over the whole globe,1°×1°over China),simulating and analyzing atmospheric CO2concentrations over 10 recent years(2000–2009).The simulation results agreed very well with observed data from four background atmospheric monitoring stations in China(The periods for which the simulation results and observed values be compared were January2000 to December 2009 for the WLG station and June 2006 to December 2009 for the SDZ,LFS,and LAN stations),giving correlation coefficients of>0.7.The high-resolution simulation data correlated slightly better than the low resolution simulation data with the observed data for three of the regions’atmospheric background stations.Further analysis of the annual,seasonal CO2concentration variations at the background stations showed that the CO2concentration increased each year over the study period,with an average annual increase of more than 5%,and annual increases of more than 7%at the Shangdianzi and Lin’an stations.Seasonal CO2variations were greater at the Longfengshan station than at the Shangdianzi or Lin’an stations.However,the CO2concentrations were higher at the Shangdianzi and Lin’an stations because they are greatly affected by human activities in the Jingjinji and Changjiang Delta economic zones.Spatial distribution in CO2concentrations and fluxes were higher in eastern than in western China.CHENG YanLi AN XingQin YUN FangHua ZHOU LingXi LIU LiXin FANG ShuangXi XU Lin 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,32:8
2Temporal variation of atmospheric CH_4 and the potential source regions at Waliguan, China显示文摘We used a revised dataset of the atmospheric CH4 mixing ratios that were continuously measured at Mount Waliguan Baseline Observatory of western China during 2002-2006 to study the temporal variations and the potential sources regions of ambient CH4 . Approximately 58% observed values were filtered as background data by applying a robust local regression mathematic procedure. The median, 10% and 90% percentiles of CH4 background mixing ratios were 1831.8, 1820.7 and 1843.5 ppb (109molmol1 ), respectively; the atmospheric CH4 time series showed large variations with a fluctuation of 200 ppb (maximum minus minimum), but the background CH4 exhibited a much smaller variation (about 38 ppb), indicating strong impacts from local or regional sources and sinks. Ambient CH4 displayed significant diurnal variations in different seasons during 2002-2006, as was the combined result of changes of nearby sources/sinks and local meteorological circulation. The averaged CH4 seasonal cycle showed minimum in spring and winter, maximum in summer (from June to August), as is completely opposite to that observed at Mauna Loa and Niwot Ridge. The incongruous variation should be attributed to enhancing regional/local sources (e.g., herd) around the site as well as the dominant air flow from the polluted north/northeastern region (e.g., Xining and Lanzhou city) in summer. Another possible reason is, compared to Mauna Loa and Niwot Ridge, the photochemical reaction at Waliguan is weaker. An analysis of 5 d back-trajectory (500 hPa) showed that the episode of high CH 4 mixing ratios was associated with advection from the heavily populated regions east or southeast (e.g., Xining and Lanzhou) of Waliguan and northwest of Qinghai via Ge'ermu urban area where growing industrial activities as well as crops residue burning provide large sources of CH4 , suggesting a large source area; the low values were observed most frequently when air masses originated from the sparsely populated Tibet and south of Qinghai and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR). Additionally, atmospheric CH4 would be enhanced when air masses originated from Ningxia and northwest of Gansu areas (mainly growing rice) along the Yellow river region, especially in summer, suggesting agriculture source of CH4 . 3In-situ measurement of atmospheric CFC-11 at the Shangdianzi Global Atmosphere Watch(GAW) Regional Station显示文摘An in-situ GC-ECD system was used to measure halocarbons at Shangdianzi(SDZ) GAW regional station.In this paper,we reported observational results of atmospheric CFC-11(CCl3F) mixing ratios from April 2007 to March 2008.The CFC-11 time series showed large variability.Approximately 62% observed values were filtered as non-background data.The median,10% and 90% percentiles of CFC-11 background mixing ratios were 245.4 ppt(10-12 mol/mol),244.6 ppt and 246.1 ppt,respectively;whereas those of non-background CFC-11 mixing ratios were 254.7,246.6 and 272.1 ppt,respectively.Significant differences in background and non-background CFC-11 mixing ratios were observed between summer and autumn,mainly because of the CFC-11 stored in foam being prone to atmospheric release in hot seasons.Comparison of the SDZ data with the five AGAGE stations suggested agreement with mid-high latitude Northern Hemisphere stations MHD,THD and RPB.The SDZ data were higher than that of Southern Hemisphere stations CGO and SMO.Higher CFC-11 mixing ratios measured in different seasons were always associated with winds from the W-WSW-SW sector,indicating that the airflow coming from this wind sector has a positive contribution to CFC-11concentrations.The CFC-11 mixing ratios were higher in autumn and summer than in spring and winter,in which its mixing ratios were very close to the atmospheric background level.This was happened especially when airflow originated from the NNE-NE-ENE-E sector,indicating the air masses coming from these wind directions was relatively clean.ZHANG Fang ZHOU LingXi YAO Bo ZHANG XiaoChun XU Lin ZHANG XiaoLing ZHOU HuaiGang DONG Fan ZHOU LiYan 2011Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,2:1
4Lonicera caerulea polyphenols inhibit fat absorption by regulating Nrf2-ARE pathway mediated epithelial barrier dysfunction and special microbiota显示文摘Scope:High-fat diet(HFD)induces imbalance in the small intestine environment,where fat digestion and absorption mainly take place.This study aimed to elucidate the mechanisms by which Lonicera caerulea polyphenols(LCP)might inhibit fat absorption,from the perspective of small intestine microbiota and epithelial barrier integrity.Methods and results:Male Sprague-Dawley rats were given HFD with or without co-administration of LCP for 8 weeks.The results showed that LCP supplementation significantly decreased the levels of serum triglycerides(TG),total cholesterol(TC),and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),and increased the contents of fecal sterols,in HFD rats.LCP also inhibited the dysfunction of the small intestine epithelial barrier,via alleviating the oxidative stress activated by Nrf2-ARE pathway,and by modulating the expressions of pro-inflammatory factors such as tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6),cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2),nuclear factor kappa-B p65(NF-κB p65)and inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS)in the small intestine.Additionally,LCP administration restored the balance in small intestine microbiota and increased the abundance of the specific bacteria,such as Lactobacillus,involved in fat absorption.Conclusion:Our results demonstrated that LCP may be beneficial to inhibit fat absorption.The mechanism seems to be associated with the protection of the epithelial barrier integrity and the modulation of specific bacteria in the small intestine.Yuehua Wang Ningxuan Gao Andrea Nieto-Veloza Lingxi Zhou Xiyun Sun Xu Si Jinlong Tian Yang Lin Xinyao Jiao Bin Li 2023Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,4:1
5Single-cell dissection,hdWGCNA and deep learning reveal the role of oxidatively stressed plasma cells in ulcerative colitis显示文摘Ulcerative colitis(UC)develops as a result of complex interactions between various cell types in the mucosal microenvironment.In this study,we aim to elucidate the pathogenesis of ulcerative colitis at the single-cell level and unveil its clinical significance.Using single-cell RNA sequencing and high-dimensional weighted gene co-expres-sion network analysis,we identify a subpopulation of plasma cells(PCs)with significantly increased infiltration in UC colonic mucosa,characterized by pronounced oxidative stress.Combining 10 machine learning approaches,we find that the PC oxidative stress genes accurately distinguish diseased mucosa from normal mucosa(independent external testing AUC=0.991,sensitivity=0.986,specificity=0.909).Using MCPcounter and non-negative matrix factorization,we identify the association between PC oxidative stress genes and immune cell infiltration as well as patient heterogeneity.Spatial transcriptome data is used to verify the infiltration of oxidatively stressed PCs in colitis.Finally,we develop a gene-immune convolutional neural network deep learning model to diagnose UC mucosa in different cohorts(independent external testing AUC=0.984,sensitivity=95.9%,specificity=100%).Our work sheds light on the key pathogenic cell subpopulations in UC and is essential for the development of future clinical disease diagnostic tools.Shaocong Mo Xin Shen Baoxiang Huang Yulin Wang Lingxi Lin Qiuming Chen Meilin Weng Takehito Sugasawa Wenchao Gu Yoshito Tsushima Takahito Nakajima 2023Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,11:0
