130-W supercontinuum generation based on ZBLAN fiber in an all-fiber configuration显示文摘We report an all-fiberized 30-W supercontinuum(SC) generation in a piece of ZrF4-BaF2-LaF3-AlF3-NaF(ZBLAN) fiber. The pump source is a thulium-doped fiber amplifier(TDFA) with broadband output spectrum spanning the 1.9 to 2.6 μm region. The used ZBLAN fiber has a core diameter of 10 μm, and was directly fusion-spliced to the pigtail of the TDFA without using a traditional mode field adapter(MFA) or a piece of transition fiber. Such a low-loss and robust fusion splice joint, together with a robust AlF3-fiber-based endcap,enables efficient and high-power SC generation in the ZBLAN fiber. An SC with an average power up to 30.0 W and a spectral coverage of 1.9–3.35 μm with 20-dB bandwidth of 1.92–3.20 μm was obtained. Moreover, an SC with a broader spectrum was achieved by raising the pump pulse peak power(via reducing the duty ratio of the pump laser pulse). An SC with an output power of 27.4 W and a spectral coverage of 1.9–3.63 μm(with 20-dB bandwidth of 1.92–3.47 μm) was obtained, as well as an SC with output power of 24.8 W and a spectral coverage of 1.9–3.70 μm(with 20-dB bandwidth of 1.93–3.56 μm). The power conversion efficiency was measured as>69%. 2Spectrally flat supercontinuum generation in a holmium-doped ZBLAN fiber with record power ratio beyond 3μm显示文摘A spectrally flat mid-infrared supercontinuum(MIR-SC) spanning 2.8–3.9 μm with a maximum output power of 411 mW was generated in a holmium-doped ZBLAN fiber amplifier(HDZFA). A broadband fiber-based SC covering the 2.4–3.2 μm region was designed to seed the amplifier. Benefiting from the broadband seed laser,the obtained SC had a high spectral flatness of 3 dB over the range of 2.93–3.70 μm(770 nm). A spectral integral showed that the SC power beyond 3 μm was 372 mW, i.e., a power ratio of 90.6% of the total power. 330 W monolithic 2-3 μm supercontinuum laser显示文摘A high-power all-fiber supercontinuum(SC) laser source based on germania-core fiber(GCF) was presented. The lesser absorption loss of GCF than silica fiber beyond 2.0 μm makes GCF more suitable for extending the SC spectrum to the long wavelength side. In this work, the GCF-based SC laser had a maximum power of 30.1 W, together with a 10 dB spectral bandwidth of >1000 nm spanning from 1.95 to 3.0 μm. 4Numerical Simulation on Intergranular Microcracks in Interconnect Lines Due to Surface Diffusion Induced by Stress-,Electro-and Thermo-migration显示文摘Based on the weak formulation for combined surface diffusion and evaporation-condensation,a governing equation of the finite element is derived for simulating the evolution of intergranular microcracks in copper interconnects induced simultaneously by stressmigration,electromigration and thermomigration.Unlike previously published works,the effect of thermomigration is considered.The results show that thermomigration can contribute to the microcrack splitting and accelerate the drifting process along the direction of the electric field.The evolution of the intergranular microcracks depends on the mechanical stress field,the temperature gradient field,the electric field,the initial aspect ratio and the linewidth.And there exists a critical electric fieldχ_c,a critical stress field■,a critical aspect ratioβ_c and a critical linewidth■.When■or■,the intergranular microcrack will split into two or three small intergranular microcracks.Otherwise,the microcrack will evolve into a stable shape as it migrates along the interconnect line.The critical stress field,the critical electric field and the critical aspect ratio decrease with a decrease in the linewidth,and the critical linewidth increases with an increase in the electric field and the aspect ratio.The increase of the stress field,the electric field or the aspect ratio and the decrease of the linewidth are not only beneficial for the intergranular microcrack to split but also accelerate the microcrack splitting process.ZHOU Linyong HUANG Peizhen 2019Transactions of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics2019,36,6:3
5High-power linear-polarization burst-mode all-fibre laser and generation of frequency-adjustable microwave signal显示文摘Narrowband microwave generation with tuneable frequency is demonstrated by illuminating a photoconductive semiconductor switch(PCSS)with a burst-mode fibre laser.The whole system is composed of a high-power linearly polarized burst-mode pulsed fibre laser and a linear-state PCSS.To obtain a high-performance microwave signal,a desired envelope of burst is necessary and a pulse pre-compensation technique is adopted to avoid envelope distortion induced by the gain-saturation effect.Resulting from the technique,homogenous peak power distribution in each burst is ensured.The maximum energy of the laser burst pulse reaches 200μJ with a burst duration of 100 ns at the average power of 10 W,corresponding to a peak power of 4 kW.When the PCSS is illuminated by the burst-mode fibre laser,narrowband microwave generation with tuneable frequency(0.80-1.12 GHz)is obtained with a power up to 300 W.To the best of the authors’knowledge,it is the first demonstration of frequency-tuneable narrowband microwave generation based on a fibre laser.The high-power burst-mode fibre laser reported here has great potential for generating high-power arbitrary microwave signals for a great deal of applicable demands such as smart adaptive radar and intelligent high-power microwave systems.Xuan He Bin Zhang Shuailin Liu Jinmei Yao Qilin Wu Yuxin Zhao Tao Xun Linyong Yang Jing Hou 2021High Power Laser Science and Engineering2021,9,2:2
6Record power and efficient mid-infrared supercontinuum generation in germania fiber with high stability显示文摘We report the demonstration of a mid-infrared(MIR)supercontinuum(SC)laser delivering a record-breaking average output power of more than 40 W with a long-wavelength edge up to 3.5μm.The all-fiberized configuration was composed of a thulium-doped fiber amplifier system emitting a broadband spectrum covering 1.9–2.6μm with pulse repetition rate of 3 MHz,and a short piece of germania fiber.A 41.9 W MIR SC with a whole spectrum of 1.9–3.5μm was generated in a piece of 0.2-m-long germania fiber,with a power conversion efficiency of 71.4%.For an even shorter germania fiber(0.1 m),an SC with even higher output power of 44.9 W(corresponding to a conversion efficiency of 76.5%)was obtained,but the energy conversion toward the long-wavelength region was slightly limited.A continuous operation for 1 hour with output power of 32.6 W showed outstanding power stability(root mean square 0.17%)of the obtained SC laser.To the best of the authors’knowledge,for the first time,this work demonstrates the feasibility of germania fiber on generating a 40-W level MIR SC with high efficiency and excellent power stability,paving the way to real applications requiring high power and high reliability of MIR SC lasers.Linyong Yang Yukun Yang Bin Zhang Xiran Zhu Desheng Zhao Shuailin Liu Jing Hou 2022High Power Laser Science and Engineering2022,10,6:1

8Study on Active Drive System for Colonoscope显示文摘The paper deals with active drive system for colonoscope. The system is mainly composed of soft mobile mechanism for earthworm locomotion and turning mechanism based on shape memory effect. The soft mobile mechanism contacts colon wall with air in inflatable balloons, so the robot has better soft and non invasive properties. The turning mechanism can be actively bent by shape memory alloy components. It ensures the colonoscope to adapt to the tortuous shape of colon. 11ACTIVE ROBOTIC ENDOSCOPE FOR MINIMALLY INVASIVE SURGERY显示文摘A robotic endoscope is mainly composed of a tactile array sensor, soft mobile mechanism for earthworm locomotion and turning mechanism based on shape memory effect. The tactile array sensor can provide the information about magnitude and orientation of interacting forces between the robotic endoscope and the wall of gastrointestinal tracts. The soft mobile mechanism contacts gastrointestinal tracts with air-in inflatable balloons, so it has better soft and non-invasive properties. 12Performance investigation of plasma magnetohydrodynamic power generator显示文摘A magnetohydrodynamic(MHD) power generator system involves several subjects such as magnetohydrodynamics, plasma physics, material science, and structure mechanics. Therefore, the performance of the MHD power generator is affected by many factors, among which the load coefficient k is of great importance. This paper reveals the effect of some system parameters on the performance by three-dimensional(3 D) numerical simulation for a Faraday type MHD power generator using He/Xe as working plasma. The results show that average electrical conductivity increases first and then decreases with the addition of magnetic field intensity. Electrical conductivity reaches the maximum value of 11.05 S/m, while the applied magnetic field strength is B = 1.75 T. When B > 3 T, the ionization rate along the midline well keeps stable, which indicates that the ionization rate and three-body recombination rate(three kinds of particles combining to two kinds of particles) are approximately equal, and the relatively stable plasma structure of the mainstream is preserved. Efficiency of power generation of the Faraday type channel increases with an increment of the load factor. However, enthalpy extraction first increases to a certain value, and then decreases with the load factor. 16Influences on the bandwidth at the drop port of the add/drop filter using a fiber grating coupler by uniform and linearly chirped fiber Bragg grating显示文摘Writing a fiber Bragg grating(FBG) in an optical fiber coupler is a very effective way to implement an optical add/drop filter(OADF).In order to analyze the influences on the bandwidth at the drop port of the OADF using fiber grating-assisted mismatched coupler,a uniform FBG and a linearly chirped FBG were written on the coupler,and two different OADFs were fabricated.The fiber grating is written in a 2×2 mismatched coupler,which is fused and tapered with a standard single mode fiber(SMF) and a high germanium doped photosensitive fiber,by using a 248 nm ultraviolet laser.For the OADF using the uniform FBG,the 3 dB and 20 dB bandwidths are 0.1 nm and 0.3 nm,respectively;for the OADF using the linear chirped FBG,the 3 dB and 20 dB bandwidths are 0.8 nm and 2 nm,respectively.The experimental results meet the theoretical analysis well.The bandwidth at the drop port of the device can be adjusted by adjusting the chirped coefficient of the linearly chirped FBG.FAN LinYong JIANG WeiWei ZHAO RuiFeng LI Jian PEI Li JIAN ShuiSheng 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,6:1
