1Performance analysis and test of a maize inter-row self-propelled thermal fogger chassis显示文摘In view of the difficulties in weeding and plant protection in the middle and late period of maize planting, this paper proposed a self-propelled thermal fogger chassis.According to the theoretical calculation and agronomic requirements for maize planting, the structure and working principles of the self-propelled thermal fogger chassis were introduced. On this basis, the multi-body dynamics model of chassis structure was established, and the chassis traction, steering and obstacle surmounting performances were also analyzed. Then the rationality and the feasibility of the design were verified through the furrow running test and test equipped with thermal fogger.Test results showed that, the traction performance improves with the decrease of soil deformation index and increase of cohesion, and when track pre-tensioning force was about 1000 N,the machine had a good traction performance;with the decrease of the soil deformation index and the increase of cohesive force, the stability of the single side brake turn of the chassis becomes better;on the contrary, with the increase of the tightness of the crawler, the steering radius turns smaller and the steering stability becomes worse.Under heavy clay, with the pre-tensioning of 1000 N,the machine has better steering stability and smaller turning radius. The obstacle-surmounting simulation result shows that on sandy soil road, the maximum climbing angle for the chassis is 42°,the height of vertical obstacle crossing is 170 mm and the trench width is 440 mm.The study provides a reference for the design of plant protection machinery in the middle and late stages of maize planting.Liqing Chen Pinpin Wang Peng Zhang Quan Zheng Jin He Qingjie Wang 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,5:3
23D bioprinting of a biomimetic meniscal scaffold for application in tissue engineering显示文摘Appropriate biomimetic scaffolds created via 3D bioprinting are promising methods for treating damaged menisci. However, given the unique anatomical structure and complex stress environment of the meniscus, many studies have adopted various techniques to take full advantage of different materials, such as the printing combined with infusion,or electrospining,to chase the biomimetic meniscus, which makes the process complicated to some extent. Some researchers have tried to tackle the challenges only by 3D biopringting, while its alternative materials and models have been constrained. In this study, based on a multilayer biomimetic strategy,we optimized the preparation of meniscus-derived bioink, gelatin methacrylate(GelMA)/meniscal extracellular matrix(MECM),to take printability and cytocompatibility into account together.Subsequently,a customized 3D bioprinting system featuring a dual nozzle+multitemperature printing was used to integrate the advantages of polycaprolactone(PCL)and meniscal fibrocartilage chondrocytes(MFCs)-laden GelMA/MECM bioink to complete the biomimetic meniscal scaffold, which had the best biomimetic features in terms of morphology and components.Furthermore, cell viability, mechanics, biodegradation and tissue formation in vivo were performed to ensure that the scaffold had sufficient feasibility and functionality, thereby providing a reliable basis for its application in tissue engineering.Zhou Jian Tian Zhuang Tian Qinyu Peng Liqing Li Kun Luo Xujiang Wang Diaodiao Yang Zhen Jiang Shuangpeng Sui Xiang Huang Jingxiang Liu Shuyun Hao Libo Tang Peifu Yao Qi Guo Quanyi 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,6:3
3Control of CD4^(+) T cells to restrain inflammatory diseases via eukaryotic elongation factor 2 kinase显示文摘CD4^(+)T cells, particularly IL-17-secreting helper CD4^(+)T cells, play a central role in the inflammatory processes underlying autoimmune disorders.Eukaryotic Elongation Factor 2 Kinase(eEF2K)is pivotal in CD8^(+)T cells and has important implications in vascular dysfunction and inflammation-related diseases such as hypertension. However, its specific immunological role in CD4^(+)T cell activities and related inflammatory diseases remains elusive. Our investigation has uncovered that the deficiency of eEF2K disrupts the survival and proliferation of CD4^(+)T cells, impairs their ability to secrete cytokines.Notably, this dysregulation leads to heightened production of pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-17,fosters a pro-inflammatory microenvironment in the absence of eEF2K in CD4^(+)T cells.Furthermore, the absence of eEF2K in CD4^(+)T cells is linked to increased metabolic activity and mitochondrial bioenergetics. We have shown that eEF2K regulates mitochondrial function and CD4^(+)T cell activity through the upregulation of the transcription factor, signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3).Crucially,the deficiency of eEF2K exacerbates the severity of inflammation-related diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and ulcerative colitis.Strikingly, the use of C188-9,a small molecule targeting STAT3,mitigates colitis in a murine immunodeficiency model receiving eEF2K knockout(KO)CD4^(+)T cells. These findings emphasize the pivotal role of eEF2K in controlling the function and metabolism of CD4^(+)T cells and its indispensable involvement in inflammation-related diseases.Manipulating eEF2K represents a promising avenue for novel therapeutic approaches in the treatment of inflammation-related disorders.Hao-Yun Peng Liqing Wang Jugal Kishore Das Anil Kumar Darby JBallard Yijie Ren Xiaofang Xiong Paul de Figueiredo Jin-Ming Yang Jianxun Song 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,11:1
4Influence of aortic branch arteries on the hemodynamics of patient-specific type B aortic dissection following TEVAR显示文摘Objective:Because of the difficulty in obtaining patient specific flow data, branch arteries are often neglected in the flow simulations of a patient-specific type B aortic dissection(AD)following thoracic endovascular repair(TEVAR).This study aims to investigate the influence of the aortic branch arteries on the hemodynamics and physical flow phenomena commonly associated with aortic modeling of an AD after TEVAR.Methods:The three-dimensional geometry of a type B AD following TEVAR was generated from a high-quality CT dataset.Simulations were performed with all branch arteries, without the four visceral arteries of the abdominal aorta(FVAoAA),and without the upper three branches of the aortic arch(UTBoAA).Results:The removal of the UTBoAA has marginal effect on the flow patterns and hemodynamic parameters in the false lumen(FL);however, regardless of whether there are aorta branches supplied to the FL or not,the omission of FVAoAA will result in a wrong prediction of the flow direction at tears and flow volume to the FL.Conclusions:The omission of aorta branch arteries has great impact on the hemodynamic prediction including flow field and wall shear stress related parameters in a type B AD after TEVAR,which may induce misleading estimates of the potential thrombus in the FL.It is strongly recommended to keep aorta branches in the computational model to predict the post-operative hemodynamic performance in a type B AD following TEVAR.Yi Jiang Yue Qiu Da Li Ding Yuan Tinghui Zheng Liqing Peng 2019Medicine in Novel Technology and Devices2019,,4:1
5High Altitude Frogs (Rana kukonoris) Adopt a Diversified Bethedging Strategy in the Face of Environmental Unpredictability显示文摘Environmental unpredictability can influence strategies of maternal investment among eggs within a clutch. Models predict that breeding females should adopt a diversified bet-hedging strategy in unpredictable environments, but empirical field evidence from Asia is scarce. Here we tested this hypothesis by exploring spatial patterns in egg size along an altitudinal gradient in a frog species(Rana kukunoris) inhabiting the Tibetan Plateau. Within-clutch variability in egg size increased as the environment became variable(e.g., lower mean monthly temperature and mean monthly rainfall at higher altitudes), and populations in environments with more unpredictable rainfall produced eggs that were smaller and more variable in size. We provide support for a diversified bet-hedging strategy in high-altitude environments, which experience dynamic weather patterns and therefore are of unpredictable environmental quality. This strategy may be an adaptive response to lower environmental quality and higher unpredictable environmental variance. Such a strategy should increase the likelihood of breeding success and maximize maternal lifetime fitness by producing offspring that are adapted to current environmental conditions. We speculate that in high-altitude environments prone to physical disturbance, breeding females are unable to consistently produce the optimal egg size due to physiological constraints imposed by environmental conditions(e.g., duration of the active season, food availability). Species and populations whose breeding strategies are adapted to cope with uncertain environmental conditions by adjusting offspring size and therefore quality show a remarkable degree of ability to cope with future climatic changes.Wei CHEN Liqing PENG Lichun JIANG David A.PIKE Christopher R.FRIESEN Gregory BROWN 2018Asian Herpetological Research2018,9,1:1

7Impact of age and tumor size on the development of the Kasabach-Merritt phenomenon in patients with kaposiform hemangioendothelioma:a retrospective cohort study显示文摘Introduction The Kasabach–Merritt phenomenon(KMP)is a severe complication of kaposiform hemangioendothelioma(KHE).The risk factors for KMP need further investigation. Methods The medical records of patients with KHE were reviewed.Univariate and multivariate logistic regression models were used for the risk factors for KMP,and the area under the receiver operator characteristic(ROC)curve was used to assess the predictive power of risk factors. Results A total of 338 patients with KHE were enrolled. The incidence of KMP was 45.9%.Age of onset(P<0.001,odds ratio[OR]0.939;95%confidence interval[CI]0.914–0.966),lesion size(P<0.001,OR 1.944;95%CI 1.646–2.296),mixed type(P=0.030,OR 2.428;95%CI 1.092–5.397),deep type(P=0.010,OR 4.006;95%CI 1.389–11.556),and mediastinal or retroperitoneal lesion location(P=0.019,OR 11.864;95%CI 1.497–94.003)were correlated with KMP occurrence through multivariate logistic regression.ROC curve analysis revealed that the optimal cutoffs were 4.75 months for the age of onset(P<0.001,OR 7.206,95%CI 4.073–12.749)and a lesion diameter of 5.35 cm(P<0.001,OR 11.817,95%CI 7.084–19.714).Bounded by a lesion size of 5.35 cm,we found significant differences in tumor morphology, age of onset, treatments, and hematological parameters.Using an onset age of 4.75 months as a cutoff,we found significant differences in tumor morphology, lesion size, hematological parameters, and prognosis. Conclusion For KHE patients with an onset age<4.75 months and/or lesion diameter>5.35 cm,clinicians should be wary of the occurrence of KMP.Active management is recommended to improve the prognosis.Jiangyuan Zhou Yuru Lan Tong Qiu Xue Gong Zixin Zhang Chunshui He Qiang Peng Fan Hu Xuepeng Zhang Guoyan Lu Liqing Qiu Feiteng Kong Yongbo Zhang Siyuan Chen Yi Ji 2023Precision Clinical Medicine2023,6,2:0

10Reliability Analysis for Retaining Pile in Foundation Pit Based on Bayesian Principle显示文摘Moso bamboo has the advantages of high short-term strength and reproducibility, appropriating for temporary supporting structure of shallow foundation pit.According to the displacement of the pile top from an indoor model test, the reliability of the supporting effect of the moso bamboo pile was analyzed.First, the calculation formula of reliability index was deduced based on themean-value first-order second-moment(MVFOSM)method and probability theory under ultimate limit state and serviceability limit state. Then, the dimensionless bias factor(the ratio of the measured value to the calculated value)was introduced to normalize the displacement. The mathematical characteristics of the displacement were estimated and optimized based on Bayesian theory. Finally, taking 2.5 as the design reliability index, the effect of safety factor, tolerable limit displacement, and the ratio of the ultimate limit displacement to the tolerable on reliability index was analyzed. The results show that the safety level of the supporting pile can be increased by 1–2 levels when the safety factor increases by 0.5.When the coefficient of variation of tolerable limit displacement is less than 0.3,the safety factor can be 2–2.5.And the ratio of the ultimate limit displacement to the tolerable has a great influence on the reliability index, when the soil conditions is well, the ratio can be 1.2–1.3.Yousheng Deng Chengpu Peng Jialin Su Lingtao Li Liqing Meng Long Li 2022Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2022,,2:0
11Influence of morphology and hemodynamics on thrombosis in kawasaki disease patients显示文摘Kawasaki Disease(KD)patients with co-occurrent coronary artery aneurysms(CAAs)are prone to thrombosis. This study explores the thrombotic influence of morphology and hemodynamics in KD patients with CAAs.Patient-specific computed tomography angiogram images of 9 patients were used to rebuild coronary models(including 23 aneurysms;10 in thrombosed group, and 13 in non-thrombosed group)and perform computational simulations to obtain the hemodynamic parameters. The thrombosed and non-thrombosed groups were compared in terms of six parameters, namely, the maximum diameter(D_(max)),aspect ratio(R_(l/d)),shape,time-averaged wall shear stress(TAWSS),oscillatory shear index(OSI),and relative residence time(RRT).The results showed that:(1)In thrombosed aneurysms, there were several vortex structures(eddy zone),of which the position changed continuously in a cardiac cycle. In non-thrombosed aneurysms, the streamlines showed a large streaming zone.(2)Abnormal hemodynamic areas of aneurysms with thrombosis tended to appear in the same region(especially the proximal and near myocardial side of aneurysms).(3)In the non-thrombosed group, there was a correlation between the morphological and hemodynamic parameters. In thrombosed aneurysms, the flow pulsatility has a significant impact on the flow pattern. The thrombosed coronary aneurysms exhibited more risk factors and the co-location of hemodynamic abnormalities was consistent with the position of thrombosis.A score of risk factors could provide the thrombotic information of coronary aneurysms, which might be helpful for long-term clinical management of KD patients.Haoyao Cao Zhuxiang Xiong Zhan Liu Yan Li Huaxia Pu Jing Liu Liqing Peng Tinghui Zheng 2023Medicine in Novel Technology and Devices2023,,2:0
12The exploration of flow pattern in the superior vena cava of healthy adults:A 4D flow magnetic resonance imaging study显示文摘Our study sought to investigate the blood flow pattern in the superior vena cava(SVC)of healthy adults and to describe the development and characteristics of the flow pattern using 4D flow magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).4D flow MRI data with full coverage of SVC and brachiocephalic veins(BVs)were acquired with a 3-Testa MRI in thirty healthy adults(age:28.70±9.09).Hemodynamic parameters in the SVC,including velocity, velocity vector, flow visualization(pathlines, streamlines),flow waveform and energy loss, were obtained with specialized commercial post-processing software based on 4D flow MRI data. This study found that:(1)The SVC has a pulsating flow waveform with double peaks.(2)Based on BVs flow of the SVC pathline visualization, flow patterns could be divided into three development types:twining(n=14),untwining(n=)and no helical flow(n=7).(3)With the decreasing blood velocity, helical flow areas tended to gradually extend.(4)There were no significant differences in most hemodynamic parameters among the three types. The exploration of the blood flow characteristics of normal SVC may be the first step for capturing pathogenic features before the patients develop symptoms with a certain positive significance. The potential physiological significance of these phenomena deserves more exploration in future studies.Huaxia Pu Haoyao Cao Yubo Fan Jinge Zhang Simeng Wang Zhan Liu Xiaoyue Zhou Ning Jin Tinghui Zheng Liqing Peng 2023Medicine in Novel Technology and Devices2023,,2:0
