1Pyridinic nitrogen enriched porous carbon derived from bimetal organic frameworks for high capacity zinc ion hybrid capacitors with remarkable rate capability显示文摘Aqueous zinc ion hybrid capacitors(ZIHCs)hold great potential for large-scale energy storage applications owing to their high safety and low cost,but suffer from low capacity and energy density.Herein,pyridinic nitrogen enriched porous carbon(nPC)was successfully synthesized via the growth,subsequent annealing and acid etching of bimetal organic frameworks for high capacity and safe ZIHCs with exceptional rate capability.Benefiting from the mesopores for easy ion diffusion,high electrical conductivity enabled by in-situ grown carbon nanotubes matrix and residual metal Co nanoparticles for fast electron transfer,sufficient micropores and high N content(8.9 at%)with dominated pyridinic N(54%)for enhanced zinc ion storage,the resulting nPC cathodes for ZIHCs achieved high capacities of 302 and137 m Ah g^(-1) at 1 and 18 A g^(-1),outperforming most reported carbon based cathodes.Theoretical results further disclosed that pyridinic N possessed larger binding energy of-4.99 eV to chemically coordinate with Zn2+than other N species.Moreover,quasi-solid-state ZIHCs with gelatin based gel electrolytes exhibited high energy density of 157.6 Wh kg^(-1) at 0.69 kW kg^(-1),high safety and mechanical flexibility to withstand mechanical deformation and drilling.This strategy of developing pyridinic nitrogen enriched porous carbon will pave a new avenue to construct safe ZIHCs with high energy densities.Yao Li Pengfei Lu Ping Shang Lisha Wu Xiao Wang Yanfeng Dong Ronghuan He Zhong-Shuai Wu 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,5:3

4Literature and patent analysis of the cloning and identification of human functional genes in China显示文摘The Human Genome Project was launched at the end of the 1980s.Since then,the cloning and identification of functional genes has been a major focus of research across the world.In China too,the potentially profound impact of such studies on the life sciences and on human health was realized,and relevant studies were initiated in the 1990s.To advance China's involvement in the Human Genome Project,in the mid-1990s,Committee of Experts in Biology from National High Technology Research and Development Program of China(863 Program) proposed the 'two 1%' goal.This goal envisaged China contributing 1% of the total sequencing work,and cloning and identifying 1% of the total human functional genes.Over the past 20 years,tremendous achievement has been accomplished by Chinese scientists.It is well known that scientists in China finished the 1% of sequencing work of the Human Genome Project,whereas,there is no comprehensive report about 'whether China had finished cloning and identifying 1% of human functional genes'.In the present study,the GenBank database at the National Center of Biotechnology Information,the PubMed search tool,and the patent database of the State Intellectual Property Office,China,were used to retrieve entries based on two screening standards:(i) Were the newly cloned and identified genes first reported by Chinese scientists?(ii) Were the Chinese scientists awarded the gene sequence patent? 5Lattice-based autonomous path proxy re-encryption in the standard model显示文摘Autonomous path proxy re-encryption(AP-PRE)is a type of PRE that implements control on the delegation path in a multi-hop PRE.AP-PRE forces the proxy to perform the transformation along a predefined path without revealing the underlying plaintext.There are several applications of AP-PRE,including electronic medical systems,data sharing,and email systems.However,as far as we know,the existing AP-PRE scheme is provably secure in the random oracle model under the classical number-theoretic assumption,which might be vulnerable to quantum computers.Therefore,it raises the intriguing question of how to construct a quantum-resistant AP-PRE scheme.In this study,we proposed an AP-PRE scheme based on the widely accepted quantum-resistant learning with errors(LWE)assumptions.Our scheme supports the polynomial length of the delegation path.Furthermore,our scheme is proved to be selective-path CPA(sCPA)secure in the standard model under LWE assumptions.Wenli XIE Jian WENG Yao TONG Xiaojian LIANG Lisha YAO Feixiang ZHAO 2023Science China(Information Sciences)2023,66,10:0
6Modulation of Spike Count Correlations Between Macaque Primary Visual Cortex Neurons by Difficulty of Attentional Task显示文摘Studies have shown that spatial attention remarkably affects the trial-to-trial response variability shared between neurons.Difficulty in the attentional task adjusts how much concentration we maintain on what is currently important and what is filtered as irrelevant sensory information.However,how task difficulty mediates the interactions between neurons with separated receptive fields(RFs)that are attended to or attended away is still not clear.We examined spike count correlations between single-unit activities recorded simultaneously in the primary visual cortex(V1)while monkeys performed a spatial attention task with two levels of difficulty.Moreover,the RFs of the two neurons recorded were non-overlapping to allow us to study fluctuations in the correlated responses between competing visual inputs when the focus of attention was allocated to the RF of one neuron.While increasing difficulty in the spatial attention task,spike count correlations were either decreased to become negative between neuronal pairs,implying competition among them,with one neuron(or none)exhibiting attentional enhancement of firing rate,or increased to become positive,suggesting inter-neuronal cooperation,with one of the pair showing attentional suppression of spiking responses.Besides,the modulation of spike count correlations by task difficulty was independent of the attended locations.These findings provide evidence that task difficulty affects the functional interactions between different neuronal pools in V1 when selective attention resolves the spatial competition.Qiyi Hu Wenjuan Hu Keyi Liu Xiangdong Bu Lisha Hu Liming Li Xinyu Chai Yao Chen 2022Neuroscience Bulletin2022,38,5:0
7UDP-glucose epimerase 1,moonlighting as a transcriptional activator,is essential for tapetum degradation and male fertility in rice显示文摘Multiple enzymes perform moonlighting functions distinct from their main roles.UDP-glucose epimerases(UGEs),a subclass of isomerases,catalyze the interconversion of UDP-glucose(UDP-Glc)and UDP-galactose(UDP-Gal).We identified a rice male-sterile mutant,osuge1,with delayed tapetum degradation and abortive pollen.The mutant osuge1 protein lacked UDP-glucose epimerase activity,resulting in higher UDP-Gal content and lower UDP-Glc levels in the osuge1 mutant compared with the wild type.Interestingly,we discovered that OsUGE1 participates in the TIP2/bHLH142–TDR–EAT1/DTD transcriptional regulatory cascade involved in tapetum degradation,in which TIP2 and TDR regulate the expression of OsUGE1 while OsUGE1 regulates the expression of EAT1.In addition,we found that OsUGE1 regulates the expression of its own gene by directly binding to an E-box element in the OsUGE1 promoter.Collectively,our results indicate that OsUGE1 not only functions as a UDP-glucose epimerase but also moonlights as a transcriptional activator to promote tapetum degradation,revealing a novel regulatory mechanism of rice reproductive development.Nan Wang Yao Deng Lisha Zhang Yingchun Wan Ting Lei Yimin Yang Can Wu Hai Du Ping Feng Wuzhong Yin Guanghua He 2023Molecular Plant2023,16,5:0
