| 2 | Ethanol and liver: Recent insights into the mechanisms of ethanol-induced fatty liver显示文摘Alcoholic fatty liver disease(AFLD),a potentially pathologic condition,can progress to steatohepatitis,fibrosis,and cirrhosis,leading to an increased probability of hepatic failure and death.Alcohol induces fatty liver by increasing the ratio of reduced form of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide to oxidized form of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide in hepatocytes;increasing hepatic sterol regulatory element-binding protein(SREBP)-1,plasminogen activator inhibitor(PAI)-1,and early growth response-1 activity;and decreasing hepatic peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-αactivity.Alcohol activates the innate immune system and induces an imbalance of the immune response,which is followed by activated Kupffer cell-derived tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-αoverproduction,which is in turn responsible for the changes in the hepatic SREBP-1 and PAI-1 activity.Alcohol abuse promotes the migration of bone marrowderived cells(BMDCs)to the liver and then reprograms TNF-αexpression from BMDCs.Chronic alcohol intake triggers the sympathetic hyperactivity-activated hepatic stellate cell(HSC)feedback loop that in turn activates the HSCs,resulting in HSC-derived TNF-αoverproduction.Carvedilol may block this feedback loop by suppressing sympathetic activity,which attenuates the progression of AFLD.Clinical studies evaluating com-bination therapy of carvedilol with a TNF-αinhibitor to treat patients with AFLD are warranted to prevent the development of alcoholic liver disease. | Jinyao Liu | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,40: | 16 |
| 3 | Atomic-Scale Layer-by-Layer Deposition of Fe SiAl@ZnO@Al_(2)O_(3) Hybrid with Threshold Anti-Corrosion and Ultra-High Microwave Absorption Properties in Low-Frequency Bands显示文摘Developing highly efficient magnetic microwave absorb-ers(MAs)is crucial,and yet challenging for anti-corrosion properties in extremely humid and salt-induced foggy environments.Herein,a dual-oxide shell of ZnO/Al_(2)O_(3) as a robust barrier to FeSiAl core is introduced to mitigate corrosion resistance.The FeSiAl@ZnO@Al_(2)O_(3) layer by layer hybrid structure is realized with atomic-scale precision through the atomic layer deposition technique.Owing to the unique hybrid structure,the FeSiAl@ZnO@Al_(2)O_(3) exhibits record-high micro-wave absorbing performance in low-frequency bands covering L and S bands with a minimum reflection loss(RLmin)of-50.6 dB at 3.4 GHz.Compared with pure FeSiAl(RLmin of-13.5 dB,a bandwidth of 0.5 GHz),the RLmin value and effective bandwidth of this designed novel absorber increased up to~3.7 and~3 times,respectively.Fur-thermore,the inert ceramic dual-shells have improved 9.0 times the anti-corrosion property of FeSiAl core by multistage barriers towards corrosive medium and obstruction of the electric circuit.This is attributed to the large charge transfer resistance,increased impedance modulus|Z|0.01 Hz,and frequency time constant of FeSiAl@ZnO@Al_(2)O_(3).The research demonstrates a promising platform toward the design of next-generation MAs with improved anti-corrosion properties. | Wei Tian Jinyao Li Yifan Liu Rashad Ali Yang Guo Longjiang Deng Nasir Mahmood Xian Jian | 2021 | Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,10: | 6 |

| 5 | Bioreducible unimolecular micelles based on amphiphilic multiarm hyperbranched copolymers for triggered drug release显示文摘A novel type of bioreducible amphiphilic multiarm hyperbranched copolymer (H40-star-PLA-SS-PEG) based on Boltorn H40 core,poly(L-lactide) (PLA) inner-shell,and poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) outer-shell with disulfide-linkages between the hydrophobic and hydrophilic moieties was developed as unimolecular micelles for controlled drug release triggered by reduction.The obtained H40-star-PLA-SS-PEG was characterized in detail by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR),Fourier transform infrared (FTIR),gel permeation chromatography (GPC),differential scanning calorimeter (DSC),and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA).Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and dynamic light scattering (DLS) analyses suggested that H40-star-PLA-SS-PEG formed stable unimolecular micelles in aqueous solution with an average diameter of 19 nm.Interestingly,these micelles aggregated into large particles rapidly in response to 10 mM dithiothreitol (DTT),most likely due to shedding of the hydrophilic PEG outer-shell through reductive cleavage of the disulfide bonds.As a hydrophobic anticancer model drug,doxorubicin (DOX) was encapsulated into these reductive unimolecular micelles.In vitro release studies revealed that under the reduction-stimulus,the detachment of PEG outer-shell in DOX-loaded micelles resulted in a rapid drug release.Flow cytometry and confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) measurements indicated that these DOX-loaded micelles were easily internalized by living cells.Methyl tetrazolium (MTT) assay demonstrated a markedly enhanced drug efficacy of DOX-loaded H40-star-PLA-SS-PEG micelles as compared to free DOX.All of these results show that these bioreducible unimolecular micelles are promising carriers for the triggered intracellular delivery of hydrophobic anticancer drugs. | PANG Yan 1,LIU JinYao 1,SU Yue 1,ZHU BangShang 2,HUANG Wei 1,ZHOU YongFeng 1,ZHU XinYuan 1,2 & YAN DeYue 1 1 School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering,State Key Laboratory of Metal Matrix Composites,Shanghai Jiao Tong University,Shanghai 200240,China 2 Instrumental Analysis Center,Shanghai Jiao Tong University,Shanghai 200240,China | 2010 | Science China Chemistry2010,53,12: | 3 |

| 7 | SRSF1 inhibits autophagy through regulating Bcl-x splicing and interacting with PIK3C3 in lung cancer显示文摘Alternative splicing is a critical process to generate protein diversity.However,whether and how alternative splicing regulates autophagy remains largely elusive.Here we systematically identify the splicing factor SRSF1 as an autophagy suppressor.Specifically,SRSF1 inhibits autophagosome formation by reducing the accumulation of LC3-ⅡI and numbers of autophagosomes in different cell lines.Mechanistically,SRSF1 promotes the splicing of the long isoform of Bcl-x that interacts with Beclinl,thereby dissociating the Beclin1-PIK3C3 complex.In addition,SRSF1 also directly interacts with PIK3C3 to disrupt the interaction between Beclinl and PIK3C3.Consequently,the decrease of SRSF1 stabilizes the Beclinl and PIK3C3 complex and activates autophagy.Interestingly,SRSF1 can be degraded by starvation-and oxidative stresses-induced autophagy through interacting with LC3-Ⅱ,whereas reduced SRSF1 further promotes autophagy.This positive feedback is critical to inhibiting Gefitinib-resistant cancer cell progression both in vitro and in vivo.Consistently,the expression level of SRSF1 is inversely correlated to LC3 level in clinical cancer samples.Our study not only provides mechanistic insights of alternative splicing in autophagy regulation but also discovers a new regulatory role of SRSF1 in tumorigenesis,thereby offering a novel avenue for potential cancer therapeutics. | Yuesheng Lv Wenjing Zhang Jinyao Zhao Bing Sun Yangfan Qi Haoyu Ji Chaoqun Chen Jinrui Zhang Junxiu Sheng Taishu Wang Daniel Dominguez Han Liu Quentin Liu Songshu Meng Xiaoling Li Yang Wang | 2021 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,4: | 2 |

| 20 | Large-scale synthesis of fluorine-free carbonyl iron-organic silicon hydrophobic absorbers with long term corrosion protection property显示文摘Environmentally-friendly magnetic metallic absorbers with high-performing antioxidant property,thermal stability,and anticorrosion capability have attracted great attention in real-world applications.A surface modification technology of magnetic metallic absorbers with dense and inert materials has been an effective strategy to solve the aforesaid problem.Herein,fluorinefree core–shell carbonyl iron-organic silicon absorbers(CI@SiO_(2)/1,1,1,3,3,3-hexamethyl disilazane(HMDS))were fabricated via a facile one-pot synthesis using tetraethyl orthosilicate(TEOS)and HMDS as the precursor of protective layer(SiO_(2)/HMDS),and CI@SiO_(2)/HMDS hybrid reveals its long-term corrosion resistance and excellent microwave absorption performance with a minimum reflection loss value of−44.3 dB and an effective absorption bandwidth of 5.3 GHz at a thin thickness of 2.0 mm after immersion in 5.0 wt.%NaCl acidic solutions for 2,160 h.Meanwhile,CI@SiO_(2)/HMDS hybrid can still achieve the maximum radar cross-sectional(RCS)reduction values about 16.5 dB·m^(2) at the detectionθof 0°.The exceptional microwave absorption performance and structural stability are largely due to the extraordinary wave-transparent property and shielding ability against corrosive medium of SiO_(2)/HMDS hydrophobic protective layer with a contact angle of 132.5°.The research paves the way for the large-scale and batch production of high-performance magnetic metallic absorbers and increases their survivability and reliability in the harsh environments. | Wei Tian Jinyao Li Yifan Liu Longjiang Deng Yang Guo Xian Jian | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,10: | 0 |
