3A systematic review and meta-analysis of dietary fat effects on reproductive performance of sows and growth performance of piglets显示文摘Effects of added fat in sow diets on the sows’reproductive performance and offspring growth performance are influenced by multiple factors such as genetics,nutrition,parity,ambient temperatures,and farm management.Individual studies cannot cover all these factors.With the view to address this challenge,we searched all studies that were published from 1986 to 2020,and performed a systematic review and meta-analysis on the fat effect.In total,19 papers were collected and analyzed.Fat supplementation in sow diets during late gestation and lactation decreased average daily feed intake(ADFI,P<0.05)and tended to increase average daily energy intake(ADEI,P=0.11).It had no impact on litter weights at birth(P=0.40)or weaning(P=0.46).It increased total numbers of piglets at birth(P=0.07),but had no effect on liveborn per litter(P=0.90)or survival rate(P=0.48)of piglets to weaning.Fat supplementation had no significant effect on sow body weight loss(P=0.67)or backfat thickness changes(P=0.66),but sows fed diets with added fat had increased milk fat concentration(P=0.03)and shorter wean to estrus intervals(WEI,P=0.01).In specific circumstances,fat supplementation tended to improve growth performance of piglets with low litter weights at birth(P=0.14),or when the sows lost large amounts of body weight during lactation(P=0.11).The level of supplemented fat was 10%and higher would decrease liveborn per litter at neutral temperature(P=0.10).The meta-analysis revealed that fat supplementation to sows diet during late gestation and lactation can be beneficial for sow reproductive performance and litter growth performance.Lixue Wang Shuai Zhang Lee J.Johnston Crystal L.Levesque Jingdong Yin Bing Dong 2022Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2022,13,3:2
4Cobalt-doped Mn3O4 nanocrystals embedded in graphene nanosheets as a high-performance bifunctional oxygen electrocatalyst for rechargeable Zn–Air batteries显示文摘A non-noble-metal bifunctional catalyst with efficient and durable activity towards both the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is crucial to the development of rechargeable Zn-air batteries.Herein,a facile one-step hydrothermal method is reported for the synthesis of a high-performance bifunctional oxygen electrocatalyst,cobalt-doped Mn_(3)O_(4) nanocrystals supported on graphene nanosheets(Co–Mn_(3)O_(4)/G).Compare to pristine Mn_(3)O_(4),this Co–Mn_(3)O_(4)/G exhibits greatly enhanced electrocatalytic activity,delivering a halfwave potential of 0.866 V for the ORR and a low overpotential of 275 mV at 10 mA cm^(-2) for the OER.The zinc-air battery built with Co–Mn_(3)O_(4)/G shows a reduced charge–discharge voltage of 0.91 V at 10 mA cm^(-2),an power density of 115.24 mW cm^(-2) and excellent stability without any degradation after 945 cycles(315 h),outperforming the state-of-the-art Pt/C–Ir/C catalyst-based device.Mengyang Dong Xu Liu Lixue Jiang Zhengju Zhu Yajie Shu Shan Chen Yuhai Dou Porun Liu Huajie Yin Huijun Zhao 2020Green Energy & Environment2020,5,4:2

7Erroneous pixel prediction for semantic image segmentation显示文摘We consider semantic image segmentation.Our method is inspired by Bayesian deep learning which improves image segmentation accuracy by modeling the uncertainty of the network output.In contrast to uncertainty,our method directly learns to predict the erroneous pixels of a segmentation network,which is modeled as a binary classification problem.It can speed up training comparing to the Monte Carlo integration often used in Bayesian deep learning.It also allows us to train a branch to correct the labels of erroneous pixels.Our method consists of three stages:(i)predict pixel-wise error probability of the initial result,(ii)redetermine new labels for pixels with high error probability,and(iii)fuse the initial result and the redetermined result with respect to the error probability.We formulate the error-pixel prediction problem as a classification task and employ an error-prediction branch in the network to predict pixel-wise error probabilities.We also introduce a detail branch to focus the training process on the erroneous pixels.We have experimentally validated our method on the Cityscapes and ADE20K datasets.Our model can be easily added to various advanced segmentation networks to improve their performance.Taking DeepLabv3+as an example,our network can achieve 82.88%of mloU on Cityscapes testing dataset and 45.73%on ADE20K validation dataset,improving corresponding DeepLabv3+results by 0.74%and 0.13%respectively.Lixue Gong Yiqun Zhang Yunke Zhang Yin Yang Weiwei Xu 2022Computational Visual Media2022,8,1:0
8Characters and structures of the nucleobase-ascorbate transporters(NAT)family genes in Gossypium hirsutum and their roles in responding to salt and drought stresses显示文摘Background: Nucleobase-ascorbate transporters(NAT), synonymously called nucleobase-cation symporter 2(NCS2) proteins, were earlier reported to be involved in plant growth, development and resistance to stress. Previous studies concluded that s a polymorphic SNP associated with NAT12 was significant di erent between salt-tolerant and salt-sensitive materials of upland cotton. In current study, a comprehensive analysis of NAT family genes was conducted for the first time in cotton.Results: In this study, we discovered 32, 32, 18, and 16 NAT genes in Gossypium hirsutum, G. barbadense, G. raimondii and G. arboreum, respectively, which were classified into four groups(groups I–IV) based on the multiple sequence analysis. These GhNAT genes were unevenly distributed on At and Dt sub-genome in G. hirsutum. Most GhNAT members in the same group had similar gene structure characteristics and motif composition. The collinearity analysis revealed segmental duplication as well as tandem duplication contributing to the expansion of the GhNATs. The analysis of cis-acting regulatory elements of GhNATs showed that the function of GhNAT genes in cotton might be related to plant hormone and stress response. Under di erent conditions, the expression levels further suggested the GhNAT family genes were associated with plant response to various abiotic stresses. GhNAT12 was detected in the plasma membrane. And it was validated that the GhNAT12 gene played an important role in regulating cotton resistance to salt and drought stress through the virus-induced gene silencing(VIGS) analysis.Conclusions: A comprehensive analysis of NAT gene family was performed in cotton, including phylogenetic analysis, chromosomal location, collinearity analysis, motifs, gene structure and so on. Our results will further broaden the insight into the evolution and potential functions of NAT genes in cotton.
