1A complete sequence and comparative analysis of a SARS-associated virus(Isolate BJ01)显示文摘The genome sequence of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)-associated virus provides essential information for the identification of pathogen(s), exploration of etiology and evolution, interpretation of transmission and pathogenesis, development of diagnostics, prevention by future vaccination, and treatment by developing new drugs. We report the complete genome sequence and comparative analysis of an isolate (BJ01) of the coronavirus that has been recognized as a pathogen for SARS. The genome is 29725 nt in size and has 11 ORFs (Open Reading Frames). It is composed of a stable region encoding an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (composed of 2 ORFs) and a variable region representing 4 CDSs (coding sequences) for viral structural genes (the S, E, M, N proteins) and 5 PUPs (putative uncharacterized proteins). Its gene order is identical to that of other known coronaviruses. The sequence alignment with all known RNA viruses places this virus as a member in the family of Coronaviridae. Thirty putative substitutions have been identified by comparative analysis of the 5 SARS- associated virus genome sequences in GenBank. Fifteen of them lead to possible amino acid changes (non-synonymous mutations) in the proteins. Three amino acid changes, with predicted alteration of physical and chemical features, have been detected in the S protein that is postulated to beinvolved in the immunoreactions between the virus and its host. Two amino acid changes have been detected in the Mprotein, which could be related to viral envelope formation. Phylogenetic analysis suggests the possibility of non-human origin of the SARS-associated viruses but provides noevidence that they are man-made. 2Review on modeling of the anode solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘A passivation layer called the solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)is formed on electrode surfaces from decomposition products of electrolytes.The SEI allows Li+transport and blocks electrons in order to prevent further electrolyte decomposition and ensure continued electrochemical reactions.The formation and growth mechanism of the nanometer thick SEI films are yet to be completely understood owing to their complex structure and lack of reliable in situ experimental techniques.Significant advances in computational methods have made it possible to predictively model the fundamentals of SEI.This review aims to give an overview of state-of-the-art modeling progress in the investigation of SEI films on the anodes,ranging from electronic structure calculations to mesoscale modeling,covering the thermodynamics and kinetics of electrolyte reduction reactions,SEI formation,modification through electrolyte design,correlation of SEI properties with battery performance,and the artificial SEI design.Multiscale simulations have been summarized and compared with each other as well as with experiments.Computational details of the fundamental properties of SEI,such as electron tunneling,Li-ion transport,chemical/mechanical stability of the bulk SEI and electrode/(SEI/)electrolyte interfaces have been discussed.This review shows the potential of computational approaches in the deconvolution of SEI properties and design of artificial SEI.We believe that computational modeling can be integrated with experiments to complement each other and lead to a better understanding of the complex SEI for the development of a highly efficient battery in the future.Aiping Wang Sanket Kadam Hong Li Siqi Shi Yue Qi 2018npj Computational Materials2018,,1:20
3Vehicle Dynamic State Estimation: State of the Art Schemes and Perspectives显示文摘Next-generation vehicle control and future autonomous driving require further advances in vehicle dynamic state estimation. This article provides a concise review, along with the perspectives, of the recent developments in the estimation of vehicle dynamic states. The definitions used in vehicle dynamic state estimation are first introduced, and alternative estimation structures are presented. Then, the sensor configuration schemes used to estimate vehicle velocity, sideslip angle, yaw rate and roll angle are presented. The vehicle models used for vehicle dynamic state estimation are further summarized, and representative estimation approaches are discussed. 4A draft sequence of the rice (Oryza sativa ssp. indica) genome显示文摘The sequence of the rice genome holds fundamental information for its biology, including physiology, genetics, development, and evolution, as well as information on many beneficial phenotypes of economic significance. Using a 'whole genome shotgun' approach, we have pro-duced a draft rice genome sequence of Oryza sativa ssp. in-dica, the major crop rice subspecies in China and many other regions of Asia. The draft genome sequence is constructed from over 4.3 million successful sequencing traces with an accumulative total length of 2214.9 Mb. The initial assembly of the non-redundant sequences reached 409.76 Mb in length, based on 3.30 million successful sequencing traces with a total length of 1797.4 Mb from an indica variant cultivar 93-11, giving an estimated coverage of 95.29% of the rice genome with an average base accuracy of higher than 99%. 5Epidemiology of urticaria in China:a population-based study显示文摘Background:Urticaria is a common skin disease characterized by episodes of wheals,and it has a negative effect on patients’quality of life.Large-scale population-based epidemiological studies of urticaria are scarce in China.The aim of this survey was to determine the prevalence,clinical forms,and risk factors of urticaria in the Chinese population.Methods:This survey was conducted in 35 cities from 31 provinces,autonomous regions,and municipalities of China.Two to three communities in each city were selected in this investigation.Participants completed questionnaires and received dermatological examinations.We analyzed the prevalence,clinical forms,and risk factors of urticaria.Results:In total,44,875 questionnaires were distributed and 41,041 valid questionnaires were collected(17,563 male and 23,478 female participants).The lifetime prevalence of urticaria was 7.30%,with 8.26%in female and 6.34%in male individuals(P<0.05).The point prevalence of urticaria was 0.75%,with 0.79%in female and 0.71%in male individuals(P<0.05).Concomitant angioedema was found in 6.16%of patients.Adults had a higher prevalence of urticaria than adolescents and children.Living in urban areas,exposure to pollutants,an anxious or depressed psychological status,a personal and family history of allergy,thyroid diseases,and Helicobacter pylori infection were associated with a higher prevalence of urticaria.Smoking was correlated with a reduced risk of urticaria.Conclusion:This study demonstrated that the lifetime prevalence of urticaria was 7.30%and the point prevalence was 0.75%in the Chinese population;women had a higher prevalence of urticaria than men.Various factors were correlated with urticaria.Jiaqing Li Dandan Mao Shuoshuo Liu Ping Liu Jing Tian Chenhong Xue Xiaojing Liu Ruiqun Qi Bingxue Bai Jianjun Nie Siqi Ye Yu Wang Yuye Li Qing Sun Juan Tao Shuping Guo Hong Fang Jianqin Wang Qiri Mu Quanzhong Liu Yan Ding Jianzhong Zhang 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,11:6
6U-Pb Geochronology, Elemental and Sr-Nd Isotopic Geochemistry of the Houyaoyu Granite Porphyries: Implication for the Genesis of Early Cretaceous Felsic Intrusions in East Qinling显示文摘The Early Cretaceous Houyaoyu granite porphyries are located in the south margin of the North China Craton. Field observations, petrography, geochronology, major and trace elemental and Sr-Nd isotopic compositions are reported to elucidate the genesis of the Houyaoyu granite porphyries. SIMS zircon U-Pb analyses for the Houyaoyu granite porphyries yield two concordant ages of 133.2± 2.3(2σ) and 131± 1.1(2σ) Ma, respectively. Major and trace elemental compositions indicate that these porphyries are high-K I-type granites with high contents of Si O2, K2 O, Rb, U, Pb, low Nb, Ta, Ti, and P. Initial 87 Sr/86 Sr ratios range from 0.708 3 to 0.709 7, and εNd(t) values range from-9.13 to-12.3, with corresponding two-stage depleted-mantle Nd model ages(T2 DM) varying from 1.57 to 1.91 Ga. This suggests that the Houyaoyu granite porphyries were predominantly derived from ancient lower continental crust, with minor involvement of mantle-derived components. 7Comparisons of measured nitrous acid(HONO) concentrations in a pollution period at urban and suburban Beijing, in autumn of 2014显示文摘To study the HONO formation mechanisms during a pollution period, a continuous measurement was performed in both urban and suburban aeras of Beijing. During this period, the PM2.5 concentrations increased to 201 and 137 ?g/m3 in urban and suburban areas, respectively. The concentrations of HONO, CO, SO2, O3, NO, NO2, NOx were 1.45 ppbv, 0.61 ppmv, 8.7 ppbv, 4.3 ppbv, 44.4 ppbv, 37.4 ppbv, 79.4 ppbv and 0.72 ppbv, 1.00 ppmv, 1.2 ppbv, 7.9 ppbv, 3.7 ppbv, 8.2 ppbv, 11.9 ppbv, in urban and suburban areas, respectively. To compare possible pathways of HONO formation in both sites, the contributions of direct emissions, heterogeneous formations, and homogeneous productions were studied. HONO/NO2 ratios in the two sites indicated that heterogeneous reactions of NO2 were more efficient in suburban areas. And in both urban and suburban areas, the increase of PM2.5 concentrations and RH would promote the conversion efficiency in RH that ranged from 0% to 85%. However, when RH was above 85%, the HONO formation slowed down. Moreover, the study of direct emissions and homogeneous reactions showed that they contributed to a majority of HONO increase in urban areas than the 20% contributions in suburban areas. 9Platinum-group element geochemistry of mafic rocks from the Dongchuan area,southwestern China显示文摘Mafic intrusions and dykes are well preserved in the Yinmin and Lanniping districts,located within the western margin of the Yangtze Block,SW China.Although these mafic rocks from the two areas formed during different periods,they share similar ranges of PGE concentration.Most of the Yinmin gabbroic dykes contain relatively high PGE concentrations(PGEs = 13.9-87.0 ppb) and low S contents(0.003%-0.020%),higher than the maximum PGE concentrations of mafic magmas melting from the mantle.Two exceptional Yinmin samples are characterized by relatively low PGE(PGEs = 0.31-0.37 ppb) and high S(0.114%-0.257%) contents.In contrast,most samples from the Lanniping gabbroic intrusion have low PGE concentrations(PGEs — 0.12-1.02 ppb) and high S contents(0.130%-0.360%),except that the three samples exhibit relatively high PGE(PGEs = 16.3-34.8 ppb) and low S concentrations(0.014%-0.070%).All the Yinmin and Lanniping samples are characterized by the enrichment of PPGE relative to IPGE in the primitive-mantle normalized diagrams,and the high-PGE samples exhibit obvious Ru anomalies.This study suggests that during the ascent of the parental magma,removal of Os-Ir-Ru alloys and/or chromite/spinel leads to high Pd/Ir ratios and Ru anomalies for the Yinmin high-PGE samples and relatively lower Pd/Ir ratios and Ru anomalies for the Lanniping low-PGE samples.We propose that the magmas parental to the Yinmin gabbroic dykes are initially S-unsaturated,and subsequently,minor evolved magma reached sulfur saturation and led to sulfide segregation.Although the Lanniping parental magmas are originally not saturated in S,the high Cu/Pd ratios(3.8 × 10~4 to 3.2 ×10~6) for most of the Lanniping samples indicate the S-saturated state and sulfide segregation.A calculation shows that the PGE-poor magmas might have experienced 0.01%-0.1% sulfide segregation in the magma chamber.Therefore,our study provides a possible opportunity to discover PGE-enriched sulfide mineralization somewhere near or within the Lanniping mafic intrusion.Siqi Yang Hong Zhong Weiguang Zhu Wenjun Hu Zhongjie Bai 2017Acta Geochimica2017,36,1:2

15Varying water column stability controls the denitrification process in a subtropical reservoir,Southwest China显示文摘Reservoirs are regarded as hotspots of nitrogen transformation and potential sources of nitrous oxide(N_(2)O).However,it remains unclear how the hydrological conditions due to dam construction control the processes of nitrogen transformation in reservoir waters.To address this issue,we examined the spatial-temporal characteristics of nitrate concentrations,δ^(15)N-NO_(3)^(-),δ^(18)O-NO_(3)^(-),δ^(18)O-H_(2)O,relative water column stability(RWCS),and related environmental factors in a subtropical eutrophic reservoir(Hongfeng Reservoir,HFR),Southwest China.We found that denitrification was the most important nitrogen transformation process in the HFR and that higher denitrification intensity was associated with increased RWCS in summer,which suggested hydrological control of the denitrification process.In contrast,low RWCS conditions favored the nitrification process in the HFR in winter.Additionally,dissolved oxygen(DO;p<0.05)and nitrate concentrations(p<0.01)had significant impacts on the denitrification rate.We also found that the spatiotemporal RWCS variations were a prerequisite for regulating DO/nitrate stratification and the coupling/decoupling of nitrification-denitrification at the local and global scales.This study would advances our knowledge of the impacts of RWCS and thermal stratification on nitrogen transformation processes in reservoirs.Gaoyang Cui Xiao-Dong Li Siqi Li Shiyuan Ding Qinkai Li Mengdi Yang Hong Lv Yiyao Wang 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,1:0
16Health benefits from the rapid reduction in ambient exposure to air pollutants after China’s clean air actions:progress in efficacy and geographic equality显示文摘Clean air actions(CAAs)in China have been linked to considerable benefits in public health.However,whether the beneficial effects of CAAs are equally distributed geographically is unknown.Using high-resolution maps of the distributions of major air pollutants(fine particulate matter[PM_(2.5)]and ozone[O_(3)])and population,we aimed to track spatiotemporal changes in health impacts from,and geographic inequality embedded in,the reduced exposures to PM_(2.5)and O_(3)from 2013 to 2020.We used a method established by the Global Burden of Diseases Study.By analyzing the changes in loss of life expectancy(LLE)attributable to PM_(2.5)and O_(3),we calculated the gain of life expectancy(GLE)to quantify the health benefits of the air-quality improvement.Finally,we assessed the geographic inequality embedded in the GLE using the Gini index(GI).Based on risk assessments of PM_(2.5)and O_(3),during the first stage of CAAs(2013 to 2017),the mean GLE was 1.87 months.Half of the sum of the GLE was disproportionally distributed in about one quarter of the population exposed(GI 0.44).During the second stage of CAAs(2017 to 2020),the mean GLE increased to 3.94 months and geographic inequality decreased(GI 0.18).According to our assessments,CAAs were enhanced,from the first to second stages,in terms of not only preventing premature mortality but also ameliorating health inequalities.The enhancements were related to increased sensitivity to the health effects of air pollution and synergic control of PM_(2.5)and O_(3)levels.Our findings will contribute to optimizing future CAAs.Tao Xue Ruohan Wang Meng Wang Yanying Wang Dan Tong Xia Meng Conghong Huang Siqi Ai Fangzhou Li Jingyuan Cao Mingkun Tong Xueqiu Ni Hengyi Liu Jianyu Deng Hong Lu Wei Wan Jicheng Gong Shiqiu Zhang Tong Zhu 2024National Science Review2024,11,2:0

18Profiling the Bisecting N-acetylglucosamine Modification in Amniotic Membrane via Mass Spectrometry显示文摘Bisecting N-acetylglucosamine(GlcNAc),a GlcNAc linked to the coreβ-mannose residue via aβ1,4 linkage,is a special type of N-glycosylation that has been reported to be involved in various biological processes,such as cell adhesion and fetal development.This N-glycan structure is abundant in human trophoblasts,which is postulated to be resistant to natural killer cellmediated cytotoxicity,enabling a mother to nourish a fetus without rejection.In this study,we hypothesized that the human amniotic membrane,which serves as the last barrier for the fetus,may also express bisected-type glycans.To test this hypothesis,glycomic analysis of the human amniotic membrane was performed,and bisected N-glycans were detected.Furthermore,our proteomic data,which have been previously employed to explore human missing proteins,were analyzed and the presence of bisecting GlcNAc-modified peptides was confirmed.A total of 41glycoproteins with 43 glycopeptides were found to possess a bisecting GlcNAc,and 25 of these glycoproteins were reported to exhibit this type of modification for the first time.These results provide insights into the potential roles of bisecting GlcNAc modification in the human amniotic membrane,and can be beneficial to functional studies on glycoproteins with bisecting GlcNAc modifications and functional studies on immune suppression in human placenta.Qiushi Chen Yuanliang Zhang Keren Zhang Jie Liu Huozhen Pan Xinran Wang Siqi Li Dandan Hu Zhilong Lin Yun Zhao Guixue Hou Feng Guan Hong Li Siqi Liu Yan Ren 2022Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2022,20,4:0
19Boosting reversible charging of Li-ion batteries at low temperatures by a synergy of propylene carbonate-based electrolyte and defective graphite显示文摘Propylene carbonate(PC)-based electrolytes have exhibited significant advantages in boosting the low-temperature discharging of graphite-based Li-ion batteries.However,it is still unclear whether they can improve the charging property and suppress lithium plating.Studying this topic is challenging due to the problem of electrochemical compatibility.To overcome this issue,we introduced graphite with phase defects.The results show that the pouch-type full batteries using PC-based electrolyte exhibit steady performance over 500 cycles and can be reversibly charged over 30 times at-20℃ with an average Coulombic efficiency of 99.95%,while the corresponding value for the conventional ethylene carbonate(EC)-based electrolyte sample is only 31.20%.This indicates that the use of PC-based electrolyte significantly suppresses lithium plating during low-temperature charging.We further demonstrate that the improved performance is mainly attributed to the unique solvation structure,where PF-6more anions participate in solvation,leading to the formation of a stable F-rich solid state electrolyte interface on the graphite surface and a lower reduction tendency of Li+ions.This work inspires new ideas for the design of PC-based electrolytes for low-temperature charging and fast-charging batteries.Yingqiang Wu Jiao Zhang Jinli Liu Li Sheng Bo Zhang Limin Wang Siqi Shi Li Wang Hong Xu Xiangming He 2024Nano Research2024,17,3:0
