1Climate and litter C/N ratio constrain soil organic carbon accumulation显示文摘Soil organic carbon(SOC) plays critical roles in stabilizing atmospheric CO2 concentration, but the mechanistic controls on the amount and distribution of SOC on global scales are not well understood. In turn, this has hampered the ability to model global C budgets and to find measures to mitigate climate change. Here, based on the data from a large field survey campaign with 2600 plots across China’s forest ecosystems and a global collection of published data from forested land, we find that a low litter carbon-to-nitrogen ratio(C/N) and high wetness index(P/PET, precipitation-to-potentialevapotranspiration ratio) are the two factors that promote SOC accumulation, with only minor contributions of litter quantity and soil texture. The field survey data demonstrated that high plant diversity decreased litter C/N and thus indirectly promoted SOC accumulation by increasing the litter quality. We conclude that any changes in plant-community composition, plant-species richness and environmental factors that can reduce the litter C/N ratio, or climatic changes that increase wetness index, may promote SOC accumulation. 2Effects of Cl- Ions on the Corrosion Behaviour of Low Alloy Steel in Deaerated Bicarbonate Solutions显示文摘The effect of Cl-ions on corrosion evolution of Ni Cu low alloy steel during immersion tests(up to 70days) in deaerated 0.05 mol/L bicarbonate solutions was investigated by in-situ electrochemical measurements combined with X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and electron probe microanalysis(EPMA) characterisations. The results showed that due to the acceleration of substrate dissolution in the presence of Cl-, corrosion of Ni Cu low alloy steel underwent only two stages, i.e., a quick oxidation process followed by a final metastable passive state, without the initial slow anodic dissolution as observed in the Cl--free bicarbonate solution. The main components of the formed rust layer in the Cl--free bicarbonate solution were α-Fe OOH and Fe)_3O_4 , while apart from α-Fe OOH, (Fe)_6(OH)_(12)(CO)_3 was found evident instead of (Fe)_3O_4 in the Cl--containing solution. 3The fluctuating environment associated with the episodic biotic crisis during the Permo/Triassic transition:Evidence from microbial biomarkers in Changxing,Zhejiang Province显示文摘The environmental conditions and the biotic crisis during the Permo-Triassic (Tr/P) transition received increasing attention in the past decades. Presented herein are the molecular fossil records of cyano-bacteria and green sulfur bacteria,the base of the marine ecosystem,to highlight the episodic nature of both the environment and the biotic crisis during this critical period. At least two episodes of cyano-bacterial expansion are documented by 2-methylhopanes ranging from C28 to C32 in carbon number,indicative of the instable marine ecosystem and the fluctuant aquatic nutrients. Meanwhile,the index of 2-alkyl-1,3,4-trimethylbenzenes (biomarkers of green sulfur bacteria) and the ratio of pristane to phy-tane (Pr/Ph) witness the fluctuation of sedimentary environmental redox conditions. 8Effect of W on microstructure of high strength and toughness steels显示文摘The effect of W on the microstructure and the mechanical properties of ultrahigh strength low alloy steels was carried out. The microstructure of 30Cr3Si2Mn2NiMoNb and 30Cr3Si2Mn2NiMoNbW steels under quenched conditions were investigated by metallographic microscope, scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and transmission electron microscope (TEM). Thermodynamic calculation was also conducted. The results showed that the addition of W made undissolved carbides more and finer, which exerted strong pinning force on migrating packet boundary and improved tensile strength significantly. The design considerations of the beam measurement instrumentation system for the NSRL are aided by the commissioning of the machine and provide sufficient machine parameters for machine study as well as the common operation. 19A Novel High-Entropy Amorphous Thin Film with High Electrical Resistivity and Outstanding Corrosion Resistance显示文摘This study explores a novel WNbMoTaV high-entropy thin film(HETF)in amorphous structure via pulsed laser deposition system.The formation of amorphous structure of this high-entropy alloy is ascribed to the high cooling rate during the deposition process.The HETF shows a smooth surface with a height fl uctuation of less than 13 nm.This film has a high electrical resistivity of~320.6μΩ·cm and a low corrosion current density of 0.088μA/cm 2.The corrosion resistance of the HETF at ambient temperature is superior to the conventional AISI 316 L stainless steel.The high electrical resistivity and excellent corrosion resistance of the HETF are mainly attributed to its chemical disorder,cocktail effect and homogeneous amorphous structure.This experimental phenomenon not only provides a basis for the preparation of amorphous alloy films with low glass forming ability by pulsed laser deposition system,also promotes the potential application of WNbMoTaV HETF in the microelectronic components as resistivity sensors.Chuang-Shi Feng Tian-Wei Lu Tian-Li Wang Man-Zhen Lin Junhua Hou Wenjun Lu Wei-Bing Liao 2021Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2021,34,11:1
20High‑Performance Flexible Microneedle Array as a Low‑Impedance Surface Biopotential Dry Electrode for Wearable Electrophysiological Recording and Polysomnography显示文摘Microneedle array(MNA)electrodes are an effective solution to achieve high-quality surface biopotential recording without the coordination of conductive gel and are thus very suitable for long-term wearable applications.Existing schemes are limited by flexibility,biosafety,and manufacturing costs,which create large barriers for wider applications.Here,we present a novel flexible MNA electrode that can simultaneously achieve flexibility of the substrate to fit a curved body surface,robustness of microneedles to penetrate the skin without fracture,and a simplified process to allow mass production.The compatibility with wearable wireless systems and the short preparation time of the electrodes significantly improves the comfort and convenience of electrophysiological recording.The normalized electrode–skin contact impedance reaches 0.98 kΩcm^(2)at 1 kHz and 1.50 kΩcm^(2)at 10 Hz,a record low value compared to previous reports and approximately 1/250 of the standard electrodes.The morphology,biosafety,and electrical/mechanical properties are fully characterized,and wearable recordings with a high signal-to-noise ratio and low motion artifacts are realized.The first reported clinical study of microneedle electrodes for surface electrophysiological monitoring was conducted in tens of healthy and sleep-disordered subjects with 44 nights of recording(over 8 h per night),providing substantial evidence that the electrodes can be leveraged to substitute for clinical standard electrodes.Junshi Li Yundong Ma Dong Huang Zhongyan Wang Zhitong Zhang Yingjie Ren Mengyue Hong Yufeng Chen Tingyu Li Xiaoyi Shi Lu Cao Jiayan Zhang Bingli Jiao Junhua Liu Hongqiang Sun Zhihong Li 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,8:1
