1Linearity analysis of closed-loop capacitive accelerometer due to distance mismatch between plates and the influence of compensation capacitor array显示文摘This paper presents mathematical formulae showing that the distance mismatch for an uncentered proof mass in an accelerator sensor does not influence the linearity of the closed-loop accelerometer as a whole.This asymmetry in sensors only introduces an output voltage offset in the readout integrated circuit.Numerical simulation using Matlab/Simulink confirms the mathematical conclusion.The linear response after compensation with a conventional capacitor array is also simulated and analyzed.Results show that there is a loss in linearity.Similar results hold not only for the continuous-time architecture,but also for a time-divided architecture.A readout integrated circuit with a time-divided architecture is designed and fabricated using a 0.35μm HV CMOS process.An accelerometer composed of a microelectromechanical system sensor with severe built-in distance mismatch and the designed readout integrated circuit is tested.Test results show that the nonlinearity of such accelerometer is within 0.3%.HUANG JingQing ZHAO Meng ZHANG TingTing CHEN ZhongJian HONG LiChen WU Feng ZHANG YaCong LU WenGao GAO ChengChen HAO YiLong 2014Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,6:2

5Designing of a micromachined gyroscope system with a closed-loop DC biased interface ASIC显示文摘In this paper, a micromachined gyroscope system composed of a vibratory gyroscope with its interface ASIC is presented. The system adopts a DC sensing method to detect the capacitive motion, which is insensitive to the mismatch of the gyroscope capacitors and can eliminate high frequency signals from the chip. Therefore it offers a commendable noise performance with simplified topology. Low noise design can be achieved by a continuous-time charge sensitive amplifier with the input-referred noise voltage of 9.833 nV/rtHz at10 kHz. A novel high voltage(HV) buffer is adopted in the drive mode to strengthen its drive signal, so that the common-mode voltage of it is made at 5 V that is compatible with the gyroscope. The HV buffer utilizes two sets of power supply to achieve both good noise performance and HV output. The ASIC chip is fabricated in the 0.35 μm 2P4 M BCD HV process, and is 2.5×2.0 mm2 in dimension. The test results prove that the system achieves a stable closed-loop oscillation in the drive mode. 7A 16-bit Hybrid ADC with Circular-Adder-Based Counting for 15μm Pitch 640×512 LWIR FPAs显示文摘A hybrid Analog to digital converter(ADC) is presented for long-wave infrared focal plane arrays. A two-stage quantization structure is applied in the folding integration process, which results in better chargehandling capacity and higher linearity compared with conventional designs while using fewer transistors at the pixel level. By employing a circular-adder-based counting structure with 3 T dynamic memory cells, hardware consumption can be reduced. A pixel circuit of pitch15μm has been designed using the 0.18μm Complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor(CMOS) process. The power consumption of the pixel-level ADC is 0.214μW, and the charge-handling capacity is 1 Ge-. 9Design and test results of a low-noise readout integrated circuit for high-energy particle detectors显示文摘A low-noise readout integrated circuit for high-energy particle detector is presented.The noise of charge sensitive amplifier was suppressed by using single-side amplifier and resistors as source degeneration.Continuous-time semi-Gaussian filter is chosen to avoid switch noise.The peaking time of pulse shaper and the gain can be programmed to satisfy multi-application.The readout integrated circuit has been designed and fabricated using a 0.35 μm double-poly triple-metal CMOS technology.Test results show the functions of the readout integrated circuit are correct.The equivalent noise charge with no detector connected is 500–700 e in the typical mode,the gain is tunable within 13–130 mV/fC and the peaking time varies from 0.7 to 1.6 μs,in which the average gain is about 20.5 mV/fC,and the linearity reaches 99.2%.ZHANG Mingming CHEN Zhongjian ZHANG Yacong LU Wengao JI Lijiu 2010Nuclear Science and Techniques2010,21,1:1

11A versatile 16-channel front-end integrated circuit for semiconductor radiation detectors显示文摘A CMOS front-end integrated circuit consisting of 16 identical analog channels is proposed for semiconductor radiation detectors. Each of the 16 channels has a low noise charge sensitive amplifier, a pulse shaper, a peak detect and hold circuit and a discriminator, while analog voltage and channel address are routed off the chip. It can accommodate both electron and hole collection with selectable gain and peaking time. Sequential and sparse readout, combining with self-trigger and external trigger, makes four readout modes. The circuit is implemented in a 0.35 μm DP4M (double-poly-quad-metal) CMOS technology with an area of 2.5×1.54 mm2 and power dissipation of 60 mW. A single channel chip is tested with Verigy 93000. The gain is adjustable from 13 to 130 mV·fC–1 while the peaking time varies between 0.7 and 1.6 μs.
