| 1 | Trends of Urban Air Pollution in Zhengzhou City in 1996-2008显示文摘Urban air pollution is a commonly concerned environmental problem in the world.Identification of air quality trend using long-term monitoring data is helpful to understand the effectiveness of pollution control strategies.This study,using data from six monitoring stations in Zhengzhou City,analyzed the changing trend in concentrations of SO 2,NO x /NO 2 and TSP/PM 10 in 1996-2008,based on non-parametric Mann-Kendall test and Sen's slope estimator,and evaluated the comprehensive air pollution level using Multi-Pollutant Index(MPI).It was found that the concentration of each pollutant exceeded obviously the World Health Organization(WHO) guideline value,but the changing trend varied:SO 2 and NO 2 were significantly increased mainly due to an increase in coal consumption and vehicle number,while NO x,TSP and PM 10 decreased.The air pollution was serious,and differed markedly among the three functional regions:it is the most severe in the Industrial and Residential Area(IRA),followed by the Transportation Hub and Business District(THBD),and then the High-tech,Cultural and Educational Area(HCEA).Different from NO 2 concentration that had a similar change trend/rate among the function regions,the change rate of PM 10 concentration differed spatially,decreased much more obviously in THBD than other two regions.For the whole city,the comprehensive air pollution level declined gradually,illustrating that the air quality in Zhengzhou was improved in the last decade. | DU Xile LU Changhe WANG Hairong MA Jianhua | 2012 | Chinese Geographical Science2012，22，4： | 6 |

| 3 | Relationship between full-thickness macular hole and retinal break/lattice degeneration显示文摘Background: The purpose is to investigate the relationship between full-thickness macular hole(MH) and retinal break(RB) and/or lattice degeneration.Methods: Patients diagnosed as full-thickness MH and referred to Dr. Lin Lu from January 2009 to December 2013 were evaluated. All patients underwent general ophthalmologic examinations, fundus examination and optical coherence tomography(OCT). The RB and/or lattice degeneration were recorded.Results: Totally 183 eyes of 167 patients were included. The sex ratio of men to women was 1:2.88. A total of 17 eyes were pseudophakic and 166 eyes were phakic. RB and/or lattice degeneration were found in 62 eyes(33.88%). The prevalence of RB and/or lattice degeneration was similar between men and women(P=0.344>0.05). There was no statistical difference between the pseudophakic eyes and phakic eyes(P=0.138>0.05). All of the RB and/or lattice degeneration were located near or anterior to the equator. The inferior quadrants and the vertical meridian were af ected more often than the superior quadrants and the horizontal meridian.Conclusions: We identified a high incidence of RB/lattice degeneration in cases of full-thickness MH. | 4 | The antiestrogen-like activity and reproductive toxicity of 2,6-DCBQ on female zebrafish upon sub-chronic exposure显示文摘2,6-Dichloro-1,4-benzoquinone(2,6-DCBQ), an emerging water disinfection by-product, is widely detected in water resources. However, its potential effects on the reproductive system are largely unknown. Here, we investigated the long-term effects of 2,6-DCBQ on gonadal development by exposing zebrafish from 15 to 180 days postfertilization(dpf). Following exposure to 2,6-DCBQ(20 and 100 μg/L), female-specific effects including delayed puberty onset, retarded ovarian growth and breakdown of the zona radiata were observed, resulting in subfertility in adult females. Adverse effects in folliculogenesis disappeared two months after cessation of 2,6-DCBQ administration. In contrast, no adverse impacts were noted in male testes. The effects on females were associated with significant reduction in 17 β-estradiol(E2) level, suggesting a role for 2,6-DCBQ in anti-estrogenic activity. E2 level change in blood was further supported by dysregulated expression of genes( cyp19a1a, fshb, kiss3, esr2b, vtg1, and vtg3) related to the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonad-liver(HPGL) axis. | 5 | Experimental study of gas-water elongated bubble flow during production logging显示文摘In order to improve the interpretation of production log data on gas-water elongated bubble(EB) flow in horizontal wells,a multi-phase flow simulation device was set up to conduct a series of measurement experiments using air and tap water as test media,which were measured using a real production logging tool(PLT) string at different deviations and in different mixed flow state s.By understanding the characteristics and mechanisms of gas-water EB flow in transparent experimental boreholes during production logging,combined with an analysis of the production log response characteristics and experimental production logging flow pattern maps,a method for flow pattern identification relying on log responses and a drift-flux model wer e proposed for gas-water EB flow.This mo del,built upon experimental data of EB flow,reveals physical mechanisms of gas-water EB flow during measurement processing.Th e coefficients it contains are the specific values under experimental conditions and with the PLT string used in our experiments.These coefficients also reveal the interference with original downhole flow patterns by the PLT string.Due to the representativeness that our simulated flow experiments and PLT string possess,the model coefficients can be applied as e mpirical values of logging interpretation model parameters directly to real production logging data interpretation,when the measurement circumstances and PLT strings are similar. | Lu Jing Wu Xiling | 2011 | Petroleum Science2011，8，2： | 1 |

| 7 | Evaluation and Trend Analysis of Surface Water Quality in Zhengzhou in 1998-2008显示文摘Water pollution is one of the major environmental problems,especially in urban areas.Due to rapid urban expansion and industrialization,water pollution in Zhengzhou City,the capital of Henan Province in central China has become a serious problem for its development.In this study,the surface water quality was evaluated using Nemerow Comprehensive Pollution Index (NCPI),and the change trend was calculated using methods of Mann-Kendall test and Sen's slope estimator,based on the monitoring data from 1998 to 2008.The results show that the NCPI ranged from 3 to 50 in 70% of the monitoring cases,implying that most rivers were seriously polluted.However,this serious polltuon is expected to be gradually improved,as the concentration of water pollutants and NCPI declined significantly in most rivers.Water pollution in reservoirs was much lower than rivers,and the NCPI in the three monitored reservoirs was lower than 3 in most years,and shows a downward trend.Although the surface water quality was gradually improved,great efforts are still needed to enhance the protection and improvement of surface water environment. | Du Xile Lu Changhe | 2012 | Chinese Journal of Population,Resources and Environment2012，10，4： | 1 |
