| 16 | Induction heating enables efficient heterogeneous catalytic reactions over superparamagnetic nanocatalysts显示文摘Most catalytic processes are achieved by heating the whole reaction systems including the entire reactor,substrate and solvent,which leads to energy loss and obvious heat transfer limits.In this study,induction heating was employed to boost the catalytic Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reactions by using conductive superparamagnetic microspheres with loaded Pd nanoparticles as heterogeneous catalysts.It was found that,at the same apparent reaction temperatures,the reactions by adopting the induction heating all exhibit better catalytic performance with higher conversion and yield,as compared to the reactions using conventional joule heating.The improvement is mainly attributed to the localized heating effect endowed by high efficiency of the heat transfer from the heat source to catalytic sites,which dissipates the electromagnetic energy through Néel relaxation mechanism.Moreover,it has be found that the reactions have been largely accelerated,resulting in much shorter reaction time required to approach a given value of reactant conversion.These results indicate that the unique heating method based on the superparamagnetic nanomaterials as both the inductive component and catalyst support holds a promising application for fast and efficient heterogeneous catalytic process,and exhibits potential for improving energy transfer efficiency and reducing the side reactions attributed to the uneven temperature profile. | Chao Huang Yu Wang Rui Zhong Zhenkun Sun Yonghui Deng Lunbo Duan | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,9: | 0 |
| 17 | Traffic-driven epidemic spreading and its control strategies显示文摘Many epidemics or viruses in real life spread by taking advantage of other dynamic processes, e.g., the computer virus propagates with the transmission of packets. In this paper, we survey the recent progress in the study of Traffic-Driven Epidemic Spreading (TDES) on complex networks. First, we introduce several typical TDES models. Then, we analyze the key factors which have significant impact on the epidemic threshold, such as the traffic congestion and routing protocols. Furthermore, we discuss the control of the TDES by focusing on the network structure optimization and the immunization strategies. | 19 | Peak-Shaving of the Oxy-Fuel Power Plant Coupled with Liquid O_(2)Storage显示文摘Integrating a high proportion of intermittent renewable energy provides a solution for the higher peak-shaving capacity of coal-fired power plants.Oxy-fuel combustion is one of the most promising carbon reduction technologies for coal-fired power plants.This study has proposed a novel oxy-fuel power plant that is coupled with both liquid O_(2)storage and cold energy recovery systems in order to adapt to the peak-shaving requirements.The liquid O_(2)storage system uses cheap valley electricity to produce liquid O_(2)for a later use in the peak period to enhance the peak-shaving capacity.Meanwhile,the cold energy recovery system has been introduced to recover the physical latent energy during the phase change of liquid O_(2)to increase the power generation in the peak period.Technical economies of three power plants,i.e.a 330 MW(e)oxy-fuel power plant as reference(Case 1),the same power plant coupled with only liquid O_(2)storage system(Case 2),and the same power plant coupled with both liquid O_(2)storage and cold energy recovery systems(Case 3),have been analyzed and compared.Thermodynamic performance analysis indicates that the peaking capacity of Case 3 can reach the range of 106.03 to 294.22 MW(e),and the maximum peak-shaving coefficient can be as high as 2.77.Exergy analysis demonstrates that the gross exergy efficiency of Cases 2 and 3 reaches 32.18%and 33.57%,respectively,in the peak period,which are significantly higher than that of 26.70%in Case 1.Economic analysis shows that through selling the liquid O_(2)and liquid CO_(2),combined with carbon trading,the levelized cost of electricity(LCOE)of the three cases have been greatly reduced,with the lowest one of 30.90 USD/MWh shown in Case 3.For a comprehensive consideration,Case 3 can be considered a future reference of oxy-fuel power plant with the best thermodynamic and economic performance. | FU Xuchen WU Jianwen SUN Zhenkun DUAN Yuanqiang GAO Zhengping DUAN Lunbo | 2023 | Journal of Thermal Science2023,32,5: | 0 |
