1Crosstalk-free achromatic full Stokes imaging polarimetry metasurface enabled by polarization-dependent phase optimization显示文摘Imaging polarimetry is one of the most widely used analytical technologies for object detection and analysis.To date,most metasurface-based polarimetry techniques are severely limited by narrow operating bandwidths and inevitable crosstalk,leading to detrimental effects on imaging quality and measurement accuracy.Here,we propose a crosstalkfree broadband achromatic full Stokes imaging polarimeter consisting of polarization-sensitive dielectric metalenses,implemented by the principle of polarization-dependent phase optimization.Compared with the single-polarization optimization method,the average crosstalk has been reduced over three times under incident light with arbitrary polarization ranging from 9μm to 12μm,which guarantees the measurement of the polarization state more precisely.The experimental results indicate that the designed polarization-sensitive metalenses can effectively eliminate the chromatic aberration with polarization selectivity and negligible crosstalk.The measured average relative errors are 7.08%,8.62%,7.15%,and 7.59%at 9.3,9.6,10.3,and 10.6μm,respectively.Simultaneously,the broadband full polarization imaging capability of the device is also verified.This work is expected to have potential applications in wavefront detection,remote sensing,light-field imaging,and so forth.Yaxin Zhang Mingbo Pu Jinjin Jin Xinjian Lu Yinghui Guo Jixiang Cai Fei Zhang Yingli Ha Qiong He Mingfeng Xu Xiong Li Xiaoliang Ma Xiangang Luo 2022Opto-Electronic Advances2022,5,11:6

15Physics-data-driven intelligent optimization for large-aperture metalenses显示文摘Metalenses have gained significant attention and have been widely utilized in optical systems for focusing and imaging,owing to their lightweight,high-integration,and exceptional-flexibility capabilities.Traditional design methods neglect the coupling effect between adjacent meta-atoms,thus harming the practical performance of meta-devices.The existing physical/data-driven optimization algorithms can solve the above problems,but bring significant time costs or require a large number of data-sets.Here,we propose a physics-data-driven method employing an“intelligent optimizer”that enables us to adaptively modify the sizes of the meta-atom according to the sizes of its surrounding ones.The implementation of such a scheme effectively mitigates the undesired impact of local lattice coupling,and the proposed network model works well on thousands of data-sets with a validation loss of 3×10^(−3).Based on the“intelligent optimizer”,a 1-cm-diameter metalens is designed within 3 hours,and the experimental results show that the 1-mm-diameter metalens has a relative focusing efficiency of 93.4%(compared to the ideal focusing efficiency)and a Strehl ratio of 0.94.Compared to previous inverse design method,our method significantly boosts designing efficiency with five orders of magnitude reduction in time.More generally,it may set a new paradigm for devising large-aperture meta-devices.Yingli Ha Yu Luo Mingbo Pu Fei Zhang Qiong He Jinjin Jin Mingfeng Xu Yinghui Guo Xiaogang Li Xiong Li Xiaoliang Ma Xiangang Luo 2023Opto-Electronic Advances2023,6,11:1
16Combining local regional therapy and systemic therapy:Expected changes in the treatment landscape of recurrent hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Improvements in early screening,new diagnostic techniques,and surgical treatment have led to continuous downward trends in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)morbidity and mortality rates.However,high recurrence and refractory cancer after hepatectomy remain important factors affecting the long-term prognosis of HCC.The clinical characteristics and prognosis of recurrent HCC are heterogeneous,and guidelines on treatment strategies for recurrent HCC are lacking.Therapies such as surgical resection,radiofrequency ablation,and transhepatic arterial chemoembolization are effective for tumors confined to the liver,and targeted therapy is a very important treatment for unresectable recurrent HCC with systemic metastasis.With the deepening of the understanding of the immune microenvironment of HCC,blocking immune checkpoints to enhance the antitumor immune response has become a new direction for the treatment of HCC.In addition,improvements in the tumor immune microenvironment caused by local treatment may provide an opportunity to improve the therapeutic effect of HCC treatment.Ongoing and future clinical trial data of combined therapy may develop the new treatment scheme for recurrent HCC.This paper reviews the pattern of recurrent HCC and the characteristics of the immune microenvironment,demonstrates the basis for combining local treatment and systemic treatment,and reports current evidence to better understand current progress and future approaches in the treatment of recurrent HCC.Jing Liang Yi Bai Fu-Shuang Ha Ying Luo Hui-Ting Deng Ying-Tang Gao 2023World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology2023,15,1:0
17A routing algorithm for FPGAs with time-multiplexed interconnects显示文摘Previous studies show that interconnects occupy a large portion of the timing budget and area in FPGAs.In this work,we propose a time-multiplexing technique on FPGA interconnects.In order to fully exploit this interconnect architecture,we propose a time-multiplexed routing algorithm that can actively identify qualified nets and schedule them to multiplexable wires.We validate the algorithm by using the router to implement 20 benchmark circuits to time-multiplexed FPGAs.We achieve a 38%smaller minimum channel width and 3.8%smaller circuit critical path delay compared with the state-of-the-art architecture router when a wire can be time-multiplexed six times in a cycle.Ruiqi Luo Xiaolei Chen Yajun Ha 2020Journal of Semiconductors2020,41,2:0
18Optimizing energy efficiency of CNN-based object detection with dynamic voltage and frequency scaling显示文摘On the one hand,accelerating convolution neural networks(CNNs)on FPGAs requires ever increasing high energy efficiency in the edge computing paradigm.On the other hand,unlike normal digital algorithms,CNNs maintain their high robustness even with limited timing errors.By taking advantage of this unique feature,we propose to use dynamic voltage and frequency scaling(DVFS)to further optimize the energy efficiency for CNNs.First,we have developed a DVFS framework on FPGAs.Second,we apply the DVFS to SkyNet,a state-of-the-art neural network targeting on object detection.Third,we analyze the impact of DVFS on CNNs in terms of performance,power,energy efficiency and accuracy.Compared to the state-of-the-art,experimental results show that we have achieved 38%improvement in energy efficiency without any loss in accuracy.Results also show that we can achieve 47%improvement in energy efficiency if we allow 0.11%relaxation in accuracy.Weixiong Jiang Heng Yu Jiale Zhang Jiaxuan Wu Shaobo Luo Yajun Ha 2020Journal of Semiconductors2020,41,2:0
