2Generating dense and super-resolution ISAR image by combining bandwidth extrapolation and compressive sensing显示文摘Recent developing compressive sensing (CS) theory indicates that it is possible to obtain precise recovery of a sparse signal from very limited measurements,which provides a new way for data acquisition and signal processing as nature signals usually involve some degree of sparsity.In this paper,we present an algorithm for inversed synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging with super resolution by combining CS and bandwidth extrapolation (BWE) technique.For ISAR imaging,the backscattering field of target is usually contributed by a few strong scattering centers,whose number is much less than that of image pixels.Thus,CS is intuitively suitable for constructing super resolution ISAR image.According to CS theory,the number of extracted dominating scatterers relies on the signal length,which indicates that if only limited data is available,it is difficult to generate dense ISAR image robustly by CS,and some signal components tend to lose.To soften this constraint,BWE is combined with CS imaging to increase the degree of freedom of signal while preserving its coherence.A refined CS-based formation for ISAR image-resolution enhancement is then developed.Both real and simulated data experiments are performed to evaluate the proposed approach,and an example of using this technique demonstrates the enhanced image resolution in application of maneuvering target imaging.QUAN YingHui ZHANG Lei GUO Rui XING MengDao BAO Zheng 2011Science China(Information Sciences)2011,54,10:15
3Spin-decoupled metasurface for simultaneous detection of spin and orbital angular momenta via momentum transformation显示文摘With inherent orthogonality,both the spin angular momentum(SAM)and orbital angular momentum(OAM)of photons have been utilized to expand the dimensions of quantum information,optical communications,and information processing,wherein simultaneous detection of SAMs and OAMs with a single element and a single-shot measurement is highly anticipated.Here,a single azimuthal-quadratic phase metasurface-based photonic momentum transformation(PMT)is illustrated and utilized for vortex recognition.Since different vortices are converted into focusing patterns with distinct azimuthal coordinates on a transverse plane through PMT,OAMs within a large mode space can be determined through a single-shot measurement.Moreover,spin-controlled dual-functional PMTs are proposed for simultaneous SAM and OAM sorting,which is implemented by a single spin-decoupled metasurface that merges both the geometric phase and dynamic phase.Interestingly,our proposed method can detect vectorial vortices with both phase and polarization singularities,as well as superimposed vortices with a certain interval step.Experimental results obtained at several wavelengths in the visible band exhibit good agreement with the numerical modeling.With the merits of ultracompact device size,simple optical configuration,and prominent vortex recognition ability,our approach may underpin the development of integrated and high-dimensional optical and quantum systems.Yinghui Guo Shicong Zhang Mingbo Pu Qiong He Jinjin Jin Mingfeng Xu Yaxin Zhang Ping Gao Xiangang Luo 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,4:14
4Progress and records in the study of endogenetic mineralization during collisional orogenesis显示文摘To develop and perfect the theory of plate tectonics and regional metallogeny, metal-logenesis during collisional orogenesis should be thoroughly studied and will attract increasing at-tention of more and more scientists. This paper presents the main aspects of research and discus-sions on metallogenesis during collisional orogenesis after the development of plate tectonics, and accordingly divides the study history into two stages, i.e. the junior stage during 1971-1990 and the senior stage after 1990. Beginning with the negation of mineralization in the collision regime by Guild (1971), the focus of study was put on whether there occurred any mineralization during collisional orogenesis at the junior stage. 5First dark matter search results from the PandaX-Ⅰ experiment显示文摘We report on the first dark-matter(DM)search results from PandaX-I,a low threshold dual-phase xenon experiment operating at the China JinPing Underground Laboratory.In the 37-kg liquid xenon target with 17.4 live-days of exposure,no DM particle candidate event was found.This result sets a stringent limit for low-mass DM particles and disfavors the interpretation of previously-reported positive experimental results.The minimum upper limit,3.7×10-44cm2,for the spin-independent isoscalar DM-particle-nucleon scattering cross section is obtained at a DM-particle mass of 49 GeV/c2at 90%confidence level.XIAO MengJiao XIAO Xiang ZHAO Li CAO XiGuang CHEN Xun CHEN YunHua CUI XiangYi FANG DeQing FU ChangBo GIBONI Karl L. 7Crosstalk-free achromatic full Stokes imaging polarimetry metasurface enabled by polarization-dependent phase optimization显示文摘Imaging polarimetry is one of the most widely used analytical technologies for object detection and analysis.To date,most metasurface-based polarimetry techniques are severely limited by narrow operating bandwidths and inevitable crosstalk,leading to detrimental effects on imaging quality and measurement accuracy.Here,we propose a crosstalkfree broadband achromatic full Stokes imaging polarimeter consisting of polarization-sensitive dielectric metalenses,implemented by the principle of polarization-dependent phase optimization.Compared with the single-polarization optimization method,the average crosstalk has been reduced over three times under incident light with arbitrary polarization ranging from 9μm to 12μm,which guarantees the measurement of the polarization state more precisely.The experimental results indicate that the designed polarization-sensitive metalenses can effectively eliminate the chromatic aberration with polarization selectivity and negligible crosstalk.The measured average relative errors are 7.08%,8.62%,7.15%,and 7.59%at 9.3,9.6,10.3,and 10.6μm,respectively.Simultaneously,the broadband full polarization imaging capability of the device is also verified.This work is expected to have potential applications in wavefront detection,remote sensing,light-field imaging,and so forth.Yaxin Zhang Mingbo Pu Jinjin Jin Xinjian Lu Yinghui Guo Jixiang Cai Fei Zhang Yingli Ha Qiong He Mingfeng Xu Xiong Li Xiaoliang Ma Xiangang Luo 2022Opto-Electronic Advances2022,5,11:6
8Supplementation of branched-chain amino acids in protein-restricted diets modulates the expression levels of amino acid transporters and energy metabolism associated regulators in the adipose tissue of growing pigs显示文摘This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of branched-chain amino acids(BCAA)supplemented in protein-restricted diets on the growth performance and the expression profile of amino acid transporters and energy metabolism related regulators in the white adipose tissue(WAT)of different regional depots including dorsal subcutaneous adipose(DSA) and abdominal subcutaneous adipose(ASA), A total of 24 crossbred barrows(7.40 ± 0.70 kg) were randomly divided into 4 groups and were fed the following isocaloric diets for 33 days: 1) a recommended adequate protein diet(AP, 20% CP, as a positive control); 2) a low protein diet(LP, 17% CP); 3) the LP diet supplemented with BCAA(LP + B, 17% CP) to reach the same level of the AP diet group; 4) the LP diet supplemented with 2 times the amount of BCAA(LP + 2B, 17% CP). The daily gain and daily feed intake of the LP diet group were the lowest among all the treatments(P < 0.01). The feed conversion was improved markedly in the group of LP + B compared with the LP diet group(P < 0.05). No significant difference was noted for the serum biochemical parameter concentrations of glucose, triglyceride, nonesterified fatty acid and insulin among the groups(P > 0.05). Moreover, BCAA supplementation down-regulated the expression levels of amino acid transporters including L-type amino acid transporter 1 and sodium-coupled neutral amino acid transporter 2 in DSA, but up-regulated the expression level of Ltype amino acid transporter 4 in ASA(P < 0.05), Meanwhile, the energy sensor AMP-activated protein kinase α was activated in the DSA of pigs fed LP diet and in the ASA of the pigs fed AP or LP + 2B diets(P < 0.05). The mRNA expression profile of the selected mitochondrial component and mitochondrial biogenesis associated regulators in DSA and ASA also responded differently to dietary BCAA supplementation. These results suggested that the growth performance of growing pigs fed protein restricted diets supplemented with BCAA could catch up to that of the pigs fed AP diets. 9All‐metallic wide‐angle metasurfaces for multifunctional polarization manipulation显示文摘Optical camouflage is a magical capability of animals as first noticed in 1794 by Erasmus Darwin in Zoonomia,but current biomimetic camouflage strategies cannot be readily applied in complex environments involving multispectral and in particular multi-polarization detection.Here we develop a plasmonic approach toward broadband infrared polarimetric crypsis,where the polarized thermal emission near the pseudo-Brewster angle is the main signal source and no existing polarizing camouflage technique has been discovered in nature.Based on all-metallic subwavelength structures,an electrodynamic resistance-reduction mechanism is proposed to avoid the significant polarization-dependent infrared absorption/radiation.It is also found that the structured metal surface presents giant extrinsic anisotropy regarding the phase shift between orthogonal polarization states,which helps to realize ultrahigh-efficiency and tunable polarization conversion in an unprecedented manner.Finally,we note that the catenary optical theory may provide a useful means to explain and predict these unusual performances.Xiaoliang Ma Mingbo Pu Xiong Li Yinghui Guo Xiangang Luo 2019Opto-Electronic Advances2019,2,3:6
10Development and utilization of a new chemically-induced soybean library with a high mutation density显示文摘Mutagenized populations have provided important materials for introducing variation and identifying gene function in plants. In this study, an ethyl methanesulfonate(EMS)-induced soybean(Glycine max) population,consisting of 21,600 independent M_2 lines, was developed.Over 1,000 M_(4(5))families, with diverse abnormal phenotypes for seed composition, seed shape, plant morphology and maturity that are stably expressed across different environments and generations were identified. Phenotypic analysis of the population led to the identification of a yellow pigmentation mutant, gyl, that displayed significantly decreased chlorophyll(Chl) content and abnormal chloroplast development. Sequence analysis showed that gyl is allelic to Minn Gold, where a different single nucleotide polymorphism variation in the Mg-chelatase subunit gene(ChlI1a) results in golden yellow leaves. A cleaved amplified polymorphic sequence marker was developed and may be applied to marker-assisted selection for the golden yellow phenotype in soybean breeding. 11Modulation of expression of P16 and Her2 in rat breast tissues of mammary hyperplasia model by external use of Rupifang Extract显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect of Rupifang Extract in external use on expression of proto-oncogenes her2 and tumor suppression genes p16 in rat breast tissues of mammary hyperplasia model.To explore the mechanisms of Rupifang Extract in external use for preventing and treating mammary hyperplasia.METHODS:Thirty virginal female Wistar rats were randomized into 5 groups,6 in each,A:blank control group;B:model group;C:the low dose group of Rupifang;D:the middle dose group of Rupifang;and E:The high dose group of Rupifang.The mammary hyperplasia rat models were produced by injecting estradiol benzoate and progesterone and irritating by tail nipping.Drug intervention was also launched during the model formation.After 30 days,the expression of her2 and p16 in breast tissues of rats in each group were detected by the SP immunohistochemical method.RESULTS:Compared with Blank control group,the expression of her2 in breast tissues in Model group was higher,and the expression of p16 was lower(P<0.05 or P<0.01).After intervention with Rupifang Extract,compared with Model group,the expression of her2 in breast tissues in Rupifang groups was lower,and the expression of p16 higher(P<0.05 or P<0.01).CONCLUSION:The mechanisms of Rupifang Extract in external application for preventing and treating mammary hyperplasia may be reducing the expression of proto-oncogenes her2 and increasing the expression of tumor suppression genes p16.Guijuan Zhang Dehui Li Hui Guo Rui Liao Bizhu Tan Suyi Zhang Yubin Liu Min Ma Xiaoting Zeng Zhuolong Peng Si Huang Yinghui Zheng Yi Ma 2012Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2012,32,4:6
12Effect of Wuziyanzong pill on levels of sex hormones, and expressions of nuclear- associated antigen Ki-67 and androgen receptor in testes of young rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effects of Wuziyanzong pill on the levels of serum follicle stimulating hormone(FSH), luteinizing hormone(LH), testosterone(T) and the expressions of nuclear-associated antigen Ki67(Ki67), androgen receptor(AR) in testes of young rats.METHODS: Sixteen 20-day-old Wistar male rats were randomly divided into control and treatment group(n = 8). Rats in treatment group were administered Wuziyanzong pill by gavage; rats in control group administered the same volume of saline. After 10 days of treatment, the rats were killed, and then serum and testes were taken. The levels of FSH, LH and T were measured by radioimmunoassay(RIA). The histology of seminiferous tubule was observed by hematoxylin-eosin(HE) staining. The expression of Ki67 was detected by immunohistochemical assay(IHC). The m RNA level of Ki67, ARand CK-18 was detected with quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(Q-RT-PCR), the protein level of AR and CK-18 were tested by Western blot.RESULTS: Compared with control group, T level in treatment group increased significantly(P < 0.05).HE staining showed that both leydig cells and germ cells increased in treatment group. Expressions of Ki67 and AR became higher after treatment. 13Proteomic analysis of heat stress resistance of cucumber leaves when grafted onto Momordica rootstock显示文摘Various biotic and abiotic stresses threaten the cultivation of future agricultural crops.Among these stresses,heat stress is a major abiotic stress that substantially reduces agricultural productivity.Many strategies to enhance heat stress tolerance of crops have been developed,among which is grafting.Here,we show that Momordica-grafted cucumber scions have intrinsically enhanced chlorophyll content,leaf area,and net photosynthetic rate under heat stress compared to plants grafted onto cucumber rootstock.To investigate the mechanisms by which Momordica rootstock enhanced cucumber scions heat stress tolerance,comparative proteomic analysis of cucumber leaves in response to rootstock-grafting and/or heat stress was conducted.Seventy-seven differentially accumulated proteins involved in diverse biological processes were identified by two-dimensional electrophoresis(2-DE)in conjunction with matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight/time-of-flight mass spectrometry(MALDI-TOF/TOF MS).The following four main categories of proteins were involved:photosynthesis(42.8%),energy and metabolism(18.2%),defense response(14.3%),and protein and nucleic acid biosynthesis(11.7%).Proteomic analysis revealed that scions grafted onto Momordica rootstocks upregulated more proteins involved in photosynthesis compared to scions grafted onto cucumber rootstocks under heat stress and indicated enhanced photosynthetic capacity when seedlings were exposed to heat stress.Furthermore,the expression of photosynthesis-related genes in plants grafted onto Momordica rootstocks significantly increased in response to heat stress.In addition,increased high-temperature tolerance of plants grafted onto Momordica rootstock was associated with the accumulation of ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase(Rubisco)and oxygen-evolving enhancer protein 1(OEE1).Taken together,the data indicated that Momordica rootstock might alleviate growth inhibition caused by heat stress by improving photosynthesis,providing valuable insight into enhancing heat stress tolerance in the global warming epoch.Ye Xu Yinghui Yuan Nanshan Du Yu Wang Sheng Shu Jin Sun Shirong Guo 2018Horticulture Research2018,5,1:6

15Tailoring active color rendering and multiband photodetection in a vanadium-dioxide-based metamaterial absorber显示文摘Metamaterials have demonstrated exotic electromagnetic properties, which offer a good platform for realizing light absorption, photodetection, filtering, and so on. However, broadband multifunctional metamaterial absorbers are restricted in cascaded structures. Here, broadband multifunctional properties were realized by introducing vanadium dioxide into a metamaterial absorber. Through the modified design and highly efficient utilization of multiple resonant modes, both plasmonic tunable color filters and near-infrared photodetectors can be simultaneously achieved by this construction. Meanwhile, active color and a photodetection band in the near-infrared range can become tunable with the insulating–metallic transition of vanadium dioxide. Thus, the variations of rendering colors could correspondingly indicate shifts of the near-infrared photodetection bands. 16Establishment of the integrated applied core collection and its comparison with mini core collection in soybean(Glycine max)显示文摘The concept of core collection(CC) provides a new way of management and utilization of plant germplasm resources. In this study, an integrated applied core collection(IACC) of soybean was developed based on evaluation data for desirable agronomic and nutritional traits of available soybean germplasm resources including accessions with cold tolerance, drought tolerance, salt tolerance, soybean cyst nematode resistance, soybean mosaic virus resistance, high protein content, and high fat content. The newly formed collection encompasses accessions with high genetic diversity and desirable agronomic traits. The genetic diversity of the newly formed IACC was compared with that of the established mini core collection(MCC) of soybean with the aid of simple sequence repeat(SSR) markers and phenotypic traits. The results showed that at the molecular level, soybean IACC harbored a similar level of genetic diversity as the established MCC, and that at the phenotypic level the IACC encompasses more accessions with desirable traits than does the established MCC. 17Correlation of chloride diffusion coefficient and microstructure parameters in concrete: A comparative analysis using NMR,MIP, and X-CT显示文摘Permeability is a major indicator of concrete durability,and depends primarily on the microstructure characteristics of concrete,including its porosity and pore size distribution.In this study,a variety of concrete samples were prepared to investigate their microstructure characteristics via nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR),mercury intrusion porosimetry(MIP),and X-ray computed tomography(X-CT).Furthermore,the chloride diffusion coefficient of concrete was measured to explore its correlation with the microstructure of the concrete samples.Results show that the proportion of pores with diameters<1000 nm obtained by NMR exceeds that obtained by MIP,although the difference in the total porosity determined by both methods is minimal.X-CT measurements obtained a relatively small porosity;however,this likely reflcts the distribution of large pores more accurately.A strong correlation is observed between the chloride diffusion coefficient and the porosity or contributive porosity of pores with sizes<1000 nm.Moreover,microstructure parameters measured via NMR reveal a lower correlation coefficient R2 versus the chloride diffusion coefficient relative to the parameters determined via MIP,as NMR can measure non-connected as well as connected pores.In addition,when analyzing pores with sizes>50 um,X-CT obtains the maximal contributive porosity,followed by MIP and NMR.Yurong ZHANG Shengxuan XU Yanhong GAO Jie GUO Yinghui CAO Junzhi ZHANG 2020Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2020,14,6:2
18Snapshot multi-dimensional computational imaging through a liquid crystal diffuser显示文摘Multi-dimensional optical imaging systems that simultaneously gather intensity,depth,polarimetric,and spectral information have numerous applications in medical sciences,robotics,and surveillance.Nevertheless,most current approaches require mechanical moving parts or multiple modulation processes and thus suffer from long acquisition time,high system complexity,or low sampling resolution.Here,a methodology to build snapshot multi-dimensional lensless imaging is proposed by combining planar-optics and computational technology,benefiting from sufficient flexibilities in optical engineering and robust information reconstructions.Specifically,a liquid crystal diffuser based on geometric phase modulation is designed to simultaneously encode the spatial,spectral,and polarization information of an object into a snapshot detected speckle pattern.At the same time,a post-processing algorithm acts as a special decoder to recover the hidden information in the speckle with the independent and unique point spread function related to the position,wavelength,and chirality.With the merits of snapshot acquisition,multi-dimensional perception ability,simple optical configuration,and compact device size,our approach can find broad potential applications in object recognition and classification.YUNSONG LEI QI ZHANG YINGHUI GUO MINGBO PU FANG ZOU XIONG LI XIAOLIANG MA XIANGANG LUO 2023Photonics Research2023,11,3:2
19Classical and generalized geometric phase in electromagnetic metasurfaces显示文摘The geometric phase concept has profound implications in many branches of physics,from condensed matter physics to quantum systems.Although geometric phase has a long research history,novel theories,devices,and applications are constantly emerging with developments going down to the subwavelength scale.Specifically,as one of the main approaches to implement gradient phase modulation along a thin interface,geometric phase metasurfaces composed of spatially rotated subwavelength artificial structures have been utilized to construct various thin and planar meta-devices.In this paper,we first give a simple overview of the development of geometric phase in optics.Then,we focus on recent advances in continuously shaped geometric phase metasurfaces,geometric–dynamic composite phase metasurfaces,and nonlinear and high-order linear Pancharatnam–Berry phase metasurfaces.Finally,conclusions and outlooks for future developments are presented.Yinghui Guo Mingbo Pu Fei Zhang Mingfeng Xu Xiong Li Xiaoliang Ma Xiangang Luo 2022Photonics Insights2022,1,1:2
20Synthetic vector optical fields with spatial and temporal tunability显示文摘As an intrinsic nature of light,polarization plays a critical role in the vectorial characteristic of optical fields.Vector optical fields with an inhomogeneous polarization distribution show many exotic phenomena and applications not existing in scalar optical fields.Existing polarization optics,however,mainly focuses on the manipulation of polarization distribution on a single transverse plane.Here,we propose a synthetic approach to realize polarization manipulation with spatial and temporal degrees.The underlying mechanism relies on decoupling two orthogonal polarization states through asymmetric photonic spin-orbit interactions to obtain customer-tailored phase and amplitude difference in both transverse and longitudinal space,thereby changing the resulting polarization distribution at will in three-dimensional(3 D)space.Remarkably,a longitudinally varied cylindrical vector field is experimentally demonstrated by a monolayer metasurface,in which the polarization distribution switches continuously and periodically between radial and azimuthal polarization.Furthermore,the vector field can be dynamically tuned by rotating the incident polarization state.Our work extends polarization optics from two-dimensional space to 3 D space,allowing the arbitrary generation and manipulation of 3D vector optical fields with temporal tunability.Fei Zhang MingBo Pu YingHui Guo XiaoLiang Ma Xiong Li Ping Gao XianGang Luo 2022Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2022,65,5:2
