| 1 | Whole-genome sequencing provides insights into the genetic diversity and domestication of bitter gourd(Momordica spp.)显示文摘Bitter gourd(Momordica charantia)is a popular cultivated vegetable in Asian and African countries.To reveal the characteristics of the genomic structure,evolutionary trajectory,and genetic basis underlying the domestication of bitter gourd,we performed whole-genome sequencing of the cultivar Dali-11 and the wild small-fruited line TR and resequencing of 187 bitter gourd germplasms from 16 countries.The major gene clusters(Bi clusters)for the biosynthesis of cucurbitane triterpenoids,which confer a bitter taste,are highly conserved in cucumber,melon,and watermelon.Comparative analysis among cucurbit genomes revealed that the Bi cluster involved in cucurbitane triterpenoid biosynthesis is absent in bitter gourd.Phylogenetic analysis revealed that the TR group,including 21 bitter gourd germplasms,may belong to a new species or subspecies independent from M.charantia.Furthermore,we found that the remaining 166 M.charantia germplasms are geographically differentiated,and we identified 710,412,and 290 candidate domestication genes in the South Asia,Southeast Asia,and China populations,respectively.This study provides new insights into bitter gourd genetic diversity and domestication and will facilitate the future genomics-enabled improvement of bitter gourd. | Junjie Cui Yan Yang Shaobo Luo Le Wang Rukui Huang Qingfang Wen Xiaoxia Han Nansheng Miao Jiaowen Cheng Ziji Liu Changyuan Zhang Chengcheng Feng Haisheng Zhu Jianwen Su Xinjian Wan Fang Hu Yu Niu Xiaoming Zheng Yulan Yang Dai Shan Zhensheng Dong Weiming He Narinder P.S.Dhillon Kailin Hu | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 7 |

In its first phase, JUNA aims at the direct measurements of^(25)Mg(p,γ)^(26)Al,^(19)F(p,α)^(16)O,^(13)C(α,n)^(16)O and ^(12)C(α,γ)^(16)O reactions. The experimental setup,which includes an accelerator system with high stability and high intensity, a detector system, and a shielding material with low background, will be established during the above research. | 3 | Cellular membrane cholesterol is required for porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus entry and release in MARC-145 cells显示文摘Cholesterol represents one of the key constituents of small,dynamic,sterol-and sphingolipid-enriched domains on the plasma membrane.It has been reported that many viruses depend on plasma membrane cholesterol for efficient infection.In this study,the role of the plasma membrane cholesterol in porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus(PRRSV) infection of MARC-145 cells was investigated.Pretreatment of MARC-145 cells with methyl-β-cyclodextrin(MβCD),a drug used to deplete cholesterol from cellular membrane,significantly reduced PRRSV infection in a dose-dependent manner.This inhibition was partially reversed by supplementing exogenous cholesterol following MβCD treatment,suggesting that the inhibition of PRRSV infection was specifically mediated by removal of cellular cholesterol.Further detailed studies showed that depletion of cellular membrane cholesterol significantly inhibited virus entry,especially virus attachment and release.These results indicate that the presence of cholesterol in the cellular membrane is a key component of PRRSV infection. | SUN Ying XIAO ShaoBo WANG Dang LUO Rui LI Bin CHEN HuanChun FANG LiuRong | 2011 | Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,11: | 3 |

| 5 | Smart ring resonator–based sensor for multicomponent chemical analysis via machine learning显示文摘We demonstrate a smart sensor for label-free multicomponent chemical analysis using a single label-free ring resonator to acquire the entire resonant spectrum of the mixture and a neural network model to predict the composition for multicomponent analysis. The smart sensor shows a high prediction accuracy with a low rootmean-squared error ranging only from 0.13 to 2.28 mg/m L. The predicted concentrations of each component in the testing dataset almost all fall within the 95% prediction bands. | 6 | Chaos and Nonlinear Feedback Control of the Arch Micro-Electro-Mechanical System显示文摘This paper addresses a nonlinear feedback control problem for the chaotic arch micro- electro-mechanical system with unknown parameters,immeasurable states and partial state-constraint subjected to the distributed electrostatic actuation.To reflect inherent properties and design controller, the phase diagrams,bifurcation diagram and Poincare section are presented to investigate the nonlinear dynamics.The authors employ a symmetric barrier Lyapunov function to prevent violation of constraint when the arch micro-electro-mechanical system faces some limits.An RBF neural network system integrating with an update law is adopted to estimate unknown function with arbitrarily small error. In this review, the complicated branches of nanoparticles are classified and summarized, with their property and functions concluded. Besides, there are also some delivery strategies that make nanoparticles smarter and more efficient in drug delivery, and frontiers in these strategies are also summarized in this review. | 9 | A high-quality sponge gourd(Luffa cylindrica)genome显示文摘Sponge gourd(Luffa cylindrica)is an important cultivated vegetable and medicinal plant in the family Cucurbitaceae.In this study,a draft genome sequence of the sponge gourd inbred line P93075 was analyzed.Using Illumina,PacBio,and 10×Genomics sequencing techniques as well as new assembly techniques such as FALCON and chromatin interaction mapping(Hi-C),a chromosome-scale genome of approximately 656.19 Mb,with an N50 scaffold length of 48.76 Mb,was generated.From this assembly,25,508 protein-coding gene loci were identified,and 63.81%of the whole-genome consisted of transposable elements,which are major contributors to the expansion of the sponge gourd genome.According to a phylogenetic analysis of conserved genes,the sponge gourd lineage diverged from the bitter gourd lineage approximately 41.6 million years ago.Additionally,many genes that respond to biotic and abiotic stresses were found to be lineage specific or expanded in the sponge gourd genome,as demonstrated by the presence of 462 NBS-LRR genes,a much greater number than are found in the genomes of other cucurbit species;these results are consistent with the high stress resistance of sponge gourd.Collectively,our study provides insights into genome evolution and serves as a valuable reference for the genetic improvement of sponge gourd. | Haibin Wu Gangjun Zhao Hao Gong Junxing Li Caixia Luo Xiaoli He Shaobo Luo Xiaoming Zheng Xiaoxi Liu Jinju Guo Junqiu Chen Jianning Luo | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 2 |

| 20 | Effect of niobium content on irradiation microstructure and hardening in FeCrAl-based alloys显示文摘Iron-chromium-aluminum(FeCrAl)alloys with different content of niobium(Nb)—0,0.4 wt%,0.8 wt%,and 1.2 wt%—were designed and prepared.All samples were then irradiated with 2.4 MeV Fe^(2+)ion to the dose of 1 and 15 displacements per atom(dpa)at 400℃.The formations of dislocation loops induced by self-ion irradiation in these alloys were investigated by transmission electron microscopy(TEM).Nano-indentation tests were used to assess the hardness and irradiation hardening of samples.For the samples before irradiation,the(Fe,Cr)_(2)(Nb,Mo)Laves phases density and the nano-indentation hardness increased with increasing Nb content of the samples.After irradiation to 1 and 15 dpa,both of a/2<111>and a<100>dislocation loops were produced but no voids orα’phase were found in all samples.With increasing Nb content of the samples,the size of dislocation loops increased first and then decreased,while the total volume number density decreased and then increased.The fraction of a<100>dislocation loops increased first and then decreased with increasing Nb content,and increased with increasing irradiation dose.Dislocation networks and the amorphization of the Laves phases were observed in the samples with irradiation dose of 15 dpa.Irradiation hardening of Nb free samples was two to four times that of Nb containing samples,and the irradiation hardening increased with increasing Nb content of Nb containing samples.The experimental results indicate that the increase of Nb content in Fe Cr Al alloys can increase the density of Laves phases,leading to the decrease of Mo content and increase of Cr content in the matrix.The competition between the two types of solutes affects the nucleation and growth of the dislocation loops. | Xiong Zhou Hui Wang Liping Guo Yiheng Chen Fang Li Yunxiang Long Cheng Chen Ziyang Xie Hongtai Luo Shaobo Mo | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,36: | 0 |
