| 2 | Genomic insights into the fast growth of paulownias and the formation of Paulownia witches' broom显示文摘Paulownias are among the fastest growing trees in the world,but they often suffer tremendous loss of wood production due to infection by Paulownia witches'broom(PaWB)phytoplasmas.In this study,we have sequenced and assembled a high-quality nuclear genome of Paulownia fortunei,a commonly cultivated paulownia species.The assembled genome of P.fortunei is 511.6 Mb in size,with 93.2%of its sequences anchored to 20 pseudo-chromosomes,and it contains 31985 protein-coding genes.Phylogenomic analyses show that the family Paulowniaceae is sister to a clade composed of Phrymaceae and Orobanchaceae.Higher photosynthetic efficiency is achieved by integrating C3 photosynthesis and the crassulacean acid metabolism pathway,which may contribute to the extremely fast growth habit of paulownia trees.Comparative transcriptome analyses reveal modules related to cambial growth and development,photosynthesis,and defense responses.Additional genome sequencing of PaWB phytoplasma,combined with functional analyses,indicates that the effector PaWB-SAP54 interacts directly with Paulownia PfSPLa,which in turn causes the degradation of PfSPLa by the ubiquitin-mediated pathway and leads to the formation of witches'broom.Taken together,these results provide significant insights into the biology of paulownias and the regulatory mechanism for the formation of PaWB. | Yabing Cao Guiling Sun Xiaoqiao Zhai Pingluo Xu Liming Ma Minjie Deng Zhenli Zhao Haibo Yang Yanpeng Dong Zhonghai Shang Yujie Lv Lijun Yan Haifang Liu Xibing Cao Bingbing Li Zhe Wang Xiaogai Zhao Haiyan Yu Fan Wang Wen Ma Jinling Huang Guoqiang Fan | 2021 | Molecular Plant2021,14,10: | 7 |

| 4 | Profile of the culturable microbiome capable of producing acyl-homoserine lactone in the tobacco phyllosphere显示文摘Bacterial populations coexisting in the phyllosphere niche have important effects on plant health. Quorum sensing (QS) allows bacteria to communicate via diffusible signal molecules, but QS-dependent behaviors in phyllosphere bacterial populations are poorly understood. We investigate the dense and diverse N-acyl-homoserine lactone (AHL)-producing phyllosphere bacteria living on tobacco leaf surfaces via a culture-dependent method and 16S rRNA gene sequencing. Our results indicated that approximately 7.9%-11.7% of the culturable leaf-associated bacteria have the ability to produce AHL based on the assays using whole-cell biosensors. Sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene assigned the AHL-producing strains to two phylogenetic groups, with Gammaproteobacteria (93%) as the predominant group, followed by Alphaproteobacteria. All of the AHL-producing Alphaproteobacteria were affiliated with the genus Rhizobium, whereas the AHL-producing bacteria belonging to the Gammaproteobacteria mainly fell within the genera Pseudomonas, Acinetobacter, Citrobacter, Enterobacter, Pantoea and Serratia. The bioassays of supernatant extracts revealed that a portion of the strains have a remarkable AHL profile for AHL induction activity using the two different biosensors, and one compound in the active extract of a representative isolate, NTL223, corresponded to 3-oxo-hexanoyl-homoserine lactone. A large population size and diversity of bacteria capable of AHL-driven QS were found to cohabit on leaves, implying that cross-communication based AHL-type QS may be common in the phyllosphere. | 9 | Uniform deposition of ultra-thin TiO_(2) film on mica substrate by atmospheric pressure chemical vapor deposition: Effect of precursor concentration显示文摘The performance of pearlescent pigment significantly affected by the grain size and the roughness of deposited film. The effect of TiCl_(4) concentration on the initial deposition of TiO_(2) on mica by atmospheric pressure chemical vapor deposition(APCVD) was investigated. The precursor concentration significantly affected the deposition and morphology of TiO_(2) grains assembling the film. The deposition time for fully covering the surface of mica decreased from 120 to 10 s as the TiCl_(4) concentration increased from 0.38%to 2.44%. The grain size increased with the TiCl_(4) concentration. The AFM and TEM analysis demonstrated that the aggregation of TiO_(2) clusters at the initial stage finally result to the agglomeration of fine TiO_(2) grains at high TiCl_(4) concentrations. | 10 | Numerical simulation of granular silicon growth and silicon fines formation process in polysilicon fluidized bed显示文摘Operating conditions strongly affect the yield and quality of polysilicon in a polysilicon fluidized bed.In this study,a new model of polysilicon fluidized bed was established using the Euler-Euler model coupled with population balance model(PBM),which was combined with fluid flow,heat,and mass transfer models,while considering the scavenging effect of silicon fines.The effects of different operating conditions on the deposition and formation rates of silicon fines were investigated.Results show that the model can correctly describe the particle growth process in the fluidized bed of polysilicon.The silicon fines and the interphase velocity difference show'N'-and'M'-shaped distributions along the axial direction,respectively.The particle temperature and concentration near the wall are higher than those in the central region.The decomposition of silane in the bottom region of the bed is dominated by het-erogeneous deposition.The scavenging of silicon fines occurs in the dilute-phase region.The effects of operating conditions,i.e.inlet gas temperature,silane composition,and gas velocity,on the reactor performance were also explored comprehensively.Increasing the inlet gas composition and velocity enhances the formation rates of solid silicon and fines.Increasing the inlet gas temperature promotes the growth of solid silicon and inhibits the formation of silicon fines.High fluidization ratio,low inlet silane concentration,and high inlet gas temperature enhance the selectivity of silicon growth. | Guangkai Gu Guoqiang Lv Wenhui Ma Shanlin Du Boqiang Fu | 2024 | Particuology2024,87,4: | 0 |
| 11 | Three-dimensional electrical structure model of the Yangbajain geothermal field in Tibet:Evidence obtained from magnetotelluric data显示文摘The Yangbajain Geothermal Field in Tibet is located in the fault subsidence basin of the central Yadong-Gulu Rift Valley.The spatial distribution of the field is controlled by mountain-front fault zones on the northwestern and southeastern sides of the basin.Geothermal power has been generated in Yangbajain for more than 40 years.However,owing to the lack of threedimensional(3D) geophysical exploration data,key geological issues related to the partial melt body of the Yangbajain Geothermal Field,such as its location,burial depth,and geometric form,as well as the ascending channel of the geothermal fluid,have for a long time been controversial.In this study,3D inversion was performed using measured geo-electromagnetic total impedance tensor data from 47 survey points.The extracted horizontal sections at different depths and profiles,and at different lines,reflect the 3D electrical structure model of the geothermal field in the study area.Subsequently,three findings were obtained.First,the partial melt body,located below the China-Nepal Highway extending along the northeast direction,is the heat source of the Yangbajain Geothermal Field.The burial depth range of the molten body was determined to range between approximately 6.2 and 14 km.Moreover,the geothermal fluid ascended a horn-shaped circulation channel with an up-facing opening,located in the northern section of the sulfur ditch area.The study results revealed that deep rock fissures(>2 km) were not well developed and had poor permeability.In addition,no layered heat reservoirs with high water richness were observed in the northern part of the study area.However,the application of enhanced geothermal system(EGS) technology in the northern region would be essential to improving the power generation capacity of the Yangbajain Geothermal Field.In addition,the study found no deep high-temperature heat storage areas in the southern region of the study area. | Guoqiang XUE Weiying CHEN Ping ZHAO Wangqi REN Yiming HE Pengfei LV Kangxin LEI Yang ZHAO | 2023 | Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,8: | 0 |

| 14 | Effect of chemical reactions between electrolyte and lithium compounds on the electrochemical performance of the ceramic fuel cells显示文摘Previous studies have found that the ceramic fuel cell using Ni_(0.8)Co_(0.15)Al_(0.05)LiO_(2)(NCAL)symmetrical electrode has obtained very good power generation performance in the temperature range of 450 to 550℃.Previous studies have pointed out that after being reduced by H2,NCAL anode will produce LiOH/Li2CO3 mixture and diffuse into the electrolyte,which results in the high ionic conductivity of the cell.In this study,the chemical reactivity of different oxide electrolytes such as CeO_(2),TiO_(2),ZrO_(2)and YSZ with LiOH and/or Li2CO3 and their effects on the electrochemical performance of the cell were studied.It is found that at 550◦C,only the open circuit voltage(OCV)of the cell using CeO_(2)as electrolyte can remain stable,and the maximum power density(MPD)of the CeO_(2)electrolyte cell reaches 599.6 mW⋅cm^(−2).The OCV of the cells with TiO_(2),ZrO_(2)and YSZ as electrolyte increased to the highest value within a few minutes,and the MPD of the cells was only more than 12 mW⋅cm^(−2).XRD,FT-IR,SEM-EDS and ICP-OES results indicate that the LiOH/Li2CO3 mixture diffuses into TiO_(2),ZrO_(2)and YSZ electrolytes and reacts with three oxides to produce Li2TiO3 and Li2ZrO3,respectively,which results in the low performance of the cell. | Ruixin Dai Gang Chen Kai Wei Zhuo Chen Xiaohong Lv Guoqiang Liu Ying Li Shujiang Geng | 2022 | Carbon Resources Conversion2022,5,2: | 0 |
