| 4 | Role of short-term dispersal on the dynamics of Zika virus in an extreme idealized environment显示文摘In November 2015,El Salvador reported their first case of Zika virus(ZIKV)infection,an event followed by an explosive outbreak that generated over 6000 suspected cases in a period of two months.National agencies began implementing control measures that included vector control and recommending an increased use of repellents.Further,in response to the alarming and growing number of microcephaly cases in Brazil,the importance of avoiding pregnancies for two years was stressed.In this paper,we explore the role of mobility within communities characterized by extreme poverty,crime and violence.Specifically,the role of short term mobility between two idealized interconnected highly distinct communities is explored in the context of ZIKV outbreaks.We make use of a Lagrangian modeling approach within a two-patch setting in order to highlight the possible effects that short-term mobility,within highly distinct environments,may have on the dynamics of ZIKV outbreak when the overall goal is to reduce the number of cases not just in the most affluent areas but everywhere.Outcomes depend on existing mobility patterns,levels of disease risk,and the ability of federal or state public health services to invest in resource limited areas,particularly in those where violence is systemic.The results of simulations in highly polarized and simplified scenarios are used to assess the role of mobility.It quickly became evident that matching observed patterns of ZIKV outbreaks could not be captured without incorporating increasing levels of heterogeneity.The number of distinct patches and variations on patch connectivity structure required to match ZIKV patterns could not be met within the highly aggregated model that is used in the simulations. | Victor M.Moreno Baltazar Espinoza Derdei Bichara Susan A.Holechek Carlos Castillo-Chavez | 2017 | Infectious Disease Modelling2017，2，1： | 0 |

| 8 | REGRESSION OF ANTERIOR SEGMENT NEOVASCULARISATION FOLLOWING CAROTID ENDARTERECTOMY IN A PA-TIENT SUFFERING FROM OCULAR IS-CHAEMIC SYNDROME显示文摘Purpose: To report a case of bilateral regression of anterior segment neovascularisation after carotid endarterectomy in a patient with bilateral ocular ischaemic syndrome (OIS). Patient and Methods: Case report. A 61 year-old man suffering from bilateral ocular ischaemic syndrome causing iris neovascularisation (NVI) and neovascular glaucoma (NVG), was planned for bilateral panretinal photocoagulation (PRP) and endarterectomy. PRP was technically only possible in his right eye, while endarterectomy was performed in both carotids. Results: Bilateral complete NVI regression was observed a month after surgery. Conclusion: In some OIS uveal ischaemia could be the major responsible for NVI. | 9 | Mediation role of cardiorespiratory fitness on the association between fatness and cardiometabolic risk in European adolescents: The HELENA study显示文摘Purpose:This study was aimed to analyze the mediation role of cardiorespiratory fitness(CRF)on the association between fatness and cardiometabolic risk scores(CMRs)in European adolescents.Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted in adolescents(n=525;46%boys;14.1±1.1 years old,mean ±SD)from 10 European cities involved in the Healthy Lifestyle in Europe by Nutrition in Adolescence study.CRF was measured by means of the shuttle run test,while fatness measures included body mass index(BMI),waist to height ratio,and fat mass index estimated from skinfold thicknesses.A clustered CMRs was computed by summing the standardized values of homeostasis model assessment,systolic blood pressure,triglycerides,total cholesterol/highdensity lipoprotein cholesterol ratio,and leptin.Results:Linear regression models indicated that CRF acted as an important and partial mediator in the association between fatness and CMRs in 1217-year-old adolescents(for BMI:coefficients of the indirect role b=0.058(95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.023-0.101),Sobel test z=3.11(10.0%mediation);for waist to height ratio:b=4.279(95%CI:2.242-7.059),z=3.86(11.5%mediation);and for fat mass index:b=0.060(95%CI:0.020-0.106),z=2.85(9.4%mediation);all p<0.01).Conclusion:In adolescents,the association between fatness and CMRs could be partially decreased with improvements to fitness levels;therefore,CRF contribution both in the clinical field and public health could be important to consider and promote in adolescents independently of their fatness levels. | Carlos Cristi-Montero Javier Courel-Ibanez Francisco B.Ortega Jose Castro-Pinero Alba Santaliestra-Pasias Angela Polito Jeremy Vanhelst Ascension Marcos Luis M.Moreno Jonatan R.Ruiz | 2021 | Journal of Sport and Health Science2021，10，3： | 0 |
