Spatial distribution, seasonal variation and regionalization of PM_(2.5) concentrations in China显示文摘In order to provide scientific support to policy makers in the regulation of PM2.5 pollution in China, it is important to accurately assess the current status, spatiotemporal characteristics and regionalization data for this air pollutant. An analysis of the pollution status of PM2.5 was conducted using daily averaged mass concentration data recorded in 74 cities in 2013 and 161 cities in 2014. The rotated empirical orthogonal function(REOF) method was applied to analyze this data. Results showed that the average annual PM2.5 concentration in urban areas of China is 62.2±21.5 ?g/m3, and that the distribution is spatially heterogeneous. The North China Plain, middle and lower Yangtze River Plain, Sichuan Basin and Guanzhong Plain had relatively high annual PM2.5 concentrations compared with the southeast coastal region, the Tibetan Plateau and the Yungui Plateau. PM2.5 mass concentrations tended to be higher in winter than in summer, however, the data for many cities showed a small peak in concentrations from May to July. An analysis of the spatial correlation of PM2.5 indicated a significant influence of topographic conditions. A lower correlation was observed where terrain features varied greatly. Based on the results of the REOF analysis and topographic characteristics, ten regions were identified in mid-eastern China, which could be considered as basic pollution prevention divisions for PM2.5; these include the North China Plain region, Pearl River Delta region, Jianghuai Plain region, middle Yangtze River Plain region, Northeast Plain region, Jiangnan coastal region, Sichuan Basin region, Qiantao Plain region, Guanzhong-Central Plain region and Yungui Plateau region. Seasonal variations in the regionalization data were observed, especially for the North China Plain and Pearl River Delta regions. Among the ten regions identified in this study, the North China Plain, Guanzhong-Central Plain, middle Yangtze River Plain and Jianghuai Plain had relatively high PM2.5 mass concentrations in comparison with the others. Therefore, these regions should be considered as the key regions to target in developing PM2.5 pollution prevention strategies. This study improves the present understanding of the spatial distribution, seasonal changes and regional status of PM2.5 pollution in China and helps establish possible control strategies for the reduction of this air pollutant.Shuai Wang Guogang Li Zhengyu Gong Li Du Qingtao Zhou Xiaoyan Meng Shuyan Xie Lei Zhou 2015Science China Chemistry2015,58,9:12
Effect of Methane Gas on Acoustic Characteristics of Hydrate-Bearing Sediment–Model Analysis and Experimental Verification显示文摘Gas leakage is an important consideration in natural systems that experience gas hydrate accumulation.A number of velocity models have been created to study hydrate-bearing sediments, including the BGTL theory, the weighted equation, the Wood equation, the K-T equation, and the effective medium theory. In previous work,we regarded water as the pore fluid, which meant its density and bulk modulus values were those of water. This approach ignores the presence of gas, which results in a biased calculation of the pore fluid's bulk modulus and density. To take into account the effect of gas on the elastic wave velocity,it is necessary to recalculate the bulk modulus and density of an equivalent medium. Thus,a high-pressure reactor device for simulating leakage systems was developed to establish the relationship between wave velocity and hydrate saturation in methane-flux mode.A comparison of the values calculated by the velocity model with the experimental data obtained in this study indicates that the effective medium theory(EMT,which considers gas effects)is more applicable than other models. For hydrate saturations of 10%–30%,the result ranges between EMT-B(homogenous gas distribution)and EMT-B(patchy gas distribution). For hydrate saturations of 30%–60%,the results are similar to those of the EMT-B(homogenous gas distribution)mode, whereas hydrate saturations of 60%–70%yield results similar to those of the EMT-A mode. For hydrate saturations greater than 80%,the experimental results are similar to those of the EMT-B mode. These results have significance for hydrate exploitation in the South China Sea.BU Qingtao HU Gaowei LIU Changling DONG Jie XING Tongju SUN Jianye LI Chengfeng MENG Qingguo 2021Journal of Ocean University of China2021,20,1:2

A Comparative Geochemistry Study of Several Oil Shale-Bearing Intervals in the Paleogene Huadian Formation,Huadian Basin,Northeast China显示文摘The Huadian Basin is an oil shale-bearing basin located in northeastern China.Thirteen oil shale layers deposited in this basin, and the characteristics of oil shale are different among these oil shale layers.Based on the core observation and microscope identification, using the organic and inorganic data from borehole HD3 and outcrops, the formation conditions of different grade oil shale have been evaluated.Based on measuring oil yield(OY in short)of an oil shale to determine its grade, this paper classifies the oil shale as high grade(OY≥10%),medium grade(10%>OY≥5%)and low grade(5%>OY≥3.5%).The high grade oil shale is mainly in brown or dark brown, and the bulk density ranges from 1.59 to 1.81 g/cm^3.The results of X-ray diffraction indicate the content of carbonate minerals is 28.0%.The HI(hydrogen index)-Tmax,HI-OI(oxygen index)and S_2-TOC(total organic carbon)diagrams indicate the kerogen types are I and II1.The high grade oil shale generally formed in the relatively arid paleoclimate, deposited in the brackish water, dysoxic environment, when the bioprodctivity is extremely high, and the information is mainly from the inorganic parameters diagrams of chemical index of alteration(CIA),Sr/Ba and V/(V+Ni).The medium grade oil shale mainly shows grey-black or black-brown color and the bulk density ranges from 1.87 to 2.08 g/cm^3.The average content of carbonate minerals is 16.4%,far less than high grade oil shale and the kerogen type is mainly II1.The inorganic parameters diagrams reflect the medium grade oil shale generally formed in the less humid paleoclimate, deposited in the brackish water, dysoxic to anoxic environment, when the bioproductivity is medium. The color of low grade oil shale is major in grey-black or dark grey and the bulk density ranges from 2.00 to 2.15 g/cm^3.The average content of carbonate minerals is sharply decreased and the kerogen type is mainly II1.The inorganic parameters diagrams indicate the low grade oil shale generally formed in the relatively humid paleoclimate, deposited in the freshwater to brackish water, anoxic environment, when the bioproductivity is relatively low.Comprehensive study suggest the increasing precipitation caused by a relatively humid paleoclimate resulted in decreasing oxygen concentration and salinity in the bottom water, restrained the salinity stratification, and tended to form the low grade oil shale. The strong evaporation leading to relatively arid paleoclimate resulted in increasing oxygen concentration and salinity in the bottom water, and promoted the salinity stratification. The area with well preservation conditions caused by the relative high sedimentary rate and salinity stratification are favorable to high grade oil shale deposit. In summary, the bioproductivity and the paleoclimate are the main factors controlling the oil shale grade in the Huadian Basin, when the bioproductivity is relatively high and the paleoclimate is relatively arid,it is prone to form the high grade oil shale. However the low grade oil shale developed in the low bioproductivity and relatively humid paleoclimate.Yu Song Zhaojun Liu Pingchang Sun Qingtao Meng Rong Liu 2017Journal of Earth Science2017,28,4:1
Signaling pathways in vascular function and hypertension:molecular mechanisms and therapeutic interventions显示文摘Hypertension is a global public health issue and the leading cause of premature death in humans.Despite more than a century of research, hypertension remains difficult to cure due to its complex mechanisms involving multiple interactive factors and our limited understanding of it.Hypertension is a condition that is named after its clinical features.Vascular function is a factor that affects blood pressure directly, and it is a main strategy for clinically controlling BP to regulate constriction/relaxation function of blood vessels.Vascular elasticity, caliber, and reactivity are all characteristic indicators reflecting vascular function.Blood vessels are composed of three distinct layers, out of which the endothelial cells in intima and the smooth muscle cells in media are the main performers of vascular function. The alterations in signaling pathways in these cells are the key molecular mechanisms underlying vascular dysfunction and hypertension development. In this manuscript,we will comprehensively review the signaling pathways involved in vascular function regulation and hypertension progression, including calcium pathway,NO-NOsGC-cGMP pathway, various vascular remodeling pathways and some important upstream pathways such as renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, oxidative stress-related signaling pathway,immunity/inflammation pathway, etc.Meanwhile,we will also summarize the treatment methods of hypertension that targets vascular function regulation and discuss the possibility of these signaling pathways being applied to clinical work.Jun Ma Yanan Li Xiangyu Yang Kai Liu Xin Zhang Xianghao Zuo Runyu Ye Ziqiong Wang Rufeng Shi Qingtao Meng Xiaoping Chen 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,5:1

Covalence bridge atomically precise metal nanocluster and metalorganic frameworks for enhanced photostability and photocatalysis显示文摘Metal nanoclusters(NCs)with precise structure and ultrasmall size have attracted great interests in catalysis. However, the poor stability has limited its large-scale use.Herein,we proposed the“covalence bridge”strategy to effectively connect atomically precise metal NCs and metal-organic frameworks.Benefiting from the covalent linkage, the synthesized UiO-66-NH2-Au25(LCys)18 showed outstanding stability after 16 h photocatalysis. Moreover, the covalence bridge created a strong metal-support interaction between the two components and provided an effective charge transport channel and thereby enhanced photocatalytic activity.UiO-66-NH2-Au25(L-Cys)18 displayed an exceptional photocatalytic H2 production rate, which is 21 and 90 times higher than that of UiO-66-NH2/Au25(PET)18(made by physically combination)and bare UiO-66-NH2,respectively.Thermodynamic and kinetic studies demonstrated that UiO-66-NH2-Au25(L-Cys)18 exhibited higher charge transfer efficiency, lower overpotential of water reduction and activation energy barrier compared with its counterparts.Aimin Yao Yuanxin Du Meng Han Yan Wang Jiashen Hu Qingtao Zhu Hongting Sheng Manzhou Zhu 2023Nano Research2023,16,1:0
